Janelle shook her head. "Oh, Dascus. Always so blunt." She smiled at them still. "Please, do sit down. We won't hurt you." The imp came scurrying in, carrying a tray of treats and goodies and refreshing drinks. It bowed to the two girls before exiting the room.
But then they ran. Frowning slightly, she gave chase, though walking. Every step of hers was five of theirs, simply because of her natural speed, and so she caught up to them quite easily. "Girls, girls." She shook her head after she had them in behind her, trapped between the house. " I swear upon Dascus' life I will not hurt you. But there are others who will. Around here, demons eat humans. Demons and monsters and everyone else. But I," And here she adopted a noble look, "I find the taste of humans disgusting. Please, girls, don't go into the forest any further. Like he said, Nova and Wendy await."
