Where Jareth had been trying to be mostly polite to Eva up to this point the man was sadly out of practice and as the potential possibilities began to dawn on him Jareth seemed to be calculating variables in rapid succession. He already had one bad fairy meddling in his affairs. Jareth certainly didn't want another one, no matter how potential benevolent and well intending they were, creating some kind of polarization around him. The Goblin King could only deal with so many elements at once and perhaps he was feeling a little more vulnerable than he was comfortable with just than as he began to pace with a highly worrisome look about his features while he proceeded to suddenly change up his character and snap back into the accusatory, somewhat adolescent, tone of an irate and suspicious teenager.

"It does seem like we've been having quite a little influx of meddlers around here lately." He snapped.

"Furthermore I do not like over-sized fairy nuisances leaving their paraphernalia about where unsuspecting people can stumble across them. Its not only irresponsible but potentially dangerous for anyone who doesn't know what their properly about. Well..." This time Jareth did sneer. "If you do have a Fairy connected to you I suggest you talk her into materializing as soon as possible and tell her to get you out of MY Kingdom before something regrettable happens. Trust me, at the rate things are going disaster is bound to be eminent.

Besides the fact that Jareth was practically yelling at Eva there was just the faintest hint of real alarm that had nothing and yet everything to do with the topic at hand. Fear was not an emotion Jareth handled well and he especially had difficulty cope with the possibility of something done in the past coming back round to haunt him. But if anything one of the truths of the Underground in general was the constant shifting of balances. Were there was darkness there would always be light.

On top of all that deep fatigue was definitely setting in. The Goblin King for all his vast abilities was still a man at the end of the day. A man who had just gone through a shocking ordeal from a enemy he could only vaguely comprehend while straining his magical resources and weakened constitution. Ariadne was certainly behind most of the events of the day where the Goblin King was concerned, but there was another element he was missing and for the life of him Jareth had no idea what to think. Enemies and unforeseen dangers seemed to be materializing at the most unexpected times.

There was, after all, a specific question that dominated Jareth's mind first and foremost.

Who had thrown the rock and had very nearly killed him? The problem was that per the binding magic of the Labyrinth Ariadne could not have directly been the culprit. Per the Law of the Three Sons there had to have been third party involved in the business. Someone that neither he nor Araidne had considered a viable threat to them on the bluff.

The truth was the perpetrator could have been anyone and it was in Jareth's best interest to be suspicious of everyone as a result. Particularly when strange women where popping into his territory with a beguiling willingness and ability to just...Go with the damned flow!

At this rate if Jareth wasn't careful he was bound to work himself into some kind of fit.

"For all I know of you..." Jareth threw the accusation without actually completely forming the full sentence as he glared at Eva darkly. He was having a weak moment and it showed, or so one might have imagined.
