What causes this to happen? she thought to herself, though the question was pointless. Kat knew it had something to do with her DNA; that at the moment oneā€™s power were to show itself, it was as if the power had always been there from day one. The scientists in the labs would say, your strength is at full power from the beginning, even if one doesnā€™t know how to tap into it yet. Katrina was a very smart girl for her age, and considered herself wise beyond her years. It was clear to her now that she could manipulate electronic objects... so far it has been a door, a radio, and a car. Not to mention, each experience had been unique, where for she unlocked the door, and fried the radio. Her slight grasp of an idea around her ability did little to comfort her, for she didnā€™t know the extent of it, or to how far she could take it. Not knowing is what scared her now, not of her surroundings, but of herself.

At the sound of Jasenā€™s voice, Katrina snapped out of her trance. He seemed somewhat flustered and off guard from the communicator in his ear, which carried over a little to when he spoke to her. Being that of the cancer zodiac, Katrina always considered herself having a keen intuition. She knew something wasnā€™t right at the moment. Either Jasen was going to do something crazy, or there was something about to take place near by that would as well be crazy. Maybe back at the loading dock? She heard Leonā€™s voice smoothly in her ears-- We got Crip and Ace now. She was able to channel the voice of Leon over Jasenā€™s headset into her mind through wishing to communicate with the electronic, listening to what it was listening to. Cool, very cool. What Katrina loved more than anything was figuring out things, for she was way too curious. Maybe having this power wouldnā€™t be half bad after all if she could always keep learning new things about it. Katrina got back in the Humveeā€™s back seat, buckling herself in tightly. Should they go back and see if things were okay at the loading dock? Maybe Kat was just imagining things. Besides, she really did want to see everyone else on Mars, and that was only miles away down this long tunnel highway. If something was going wrong back there, there were sure to be enough soldiers/ guards there to protect the newcomers, right?

ā€œTrust me...ā€ she stated, then paused, crossing her arms in front of her chest and looking out the window, through the glass walls to the outside of Mars. ā€œThere will be no more upsets...ā€ she then finished. Whatever was behind her was behind her for now, and at this moment, she needed to do something for herself. To the living area, they were on their way. The trip down the road was somewhat quiet now, due to the fact that she broke his music device. In a way it made her smile proudly, for after all, she was still a stubborn teenager. She didnā€™t have to listen to his country anymore. That genre of music was so old, she couldnā€™t understand why anyone still would ever listen to it. As the Humvee made its way down the highway to the very end, she could feel the vehicle slowing down. From the expression on her driverā€™s face, they must have finally made it. Up ahead were the same metal type gates that guarded the other entrance to the tunnel. Yet this time around, these gates did not automatically open at the sense of motion. There were guards that were checking IDs of some sort, then manually letting people through. Extra precaution to the people inside was the reason for this, but to Kat it seemed a bit daunting. The suspense of wanting to see how many others there were was killing her.

ā€œWhat are you going to say when we get to the guards? I donā€™t have any form of ID, like the people are showing in front of us. Will they know Iā€™m new? And what is behind there anyway? How many others are there?....ā€ the questions went on it seemed for the whole time they waited to get to the guard. The words were flooding out of her mouth from pure nerves, so hopefully this guy would understand. He seemed pretty laid back enough. She just wanted to know the answer, for she had so many questions. Maybe some that she should just wait and find out on her own. Who knows.

As Ace parked next to his teammate Davisā€™ vehicle, he turned it off and got out of the truck. In the distance he still kept his attention on the people unloading off the ship. Leon had turned his attention over to him and his men. ā€œLooks like we didnā€™t come in subtle enough,ā€ Ace smirked to the man on his right, watching as Leon got off his vehicle and started walking towards him. ā€œPint up son of a bitch,ā€ he added with a sarcastic laugh, crossing his arms impatiently as he gazed up the looming Leon with little interest, eyes more focused on the rifle around his shoulder than anything. He knew what he was going to ask for, his papers for their supply pick up, like usual. In all regards, Leon didnā€™t have the authority to look at them or ā€˜approveā€™ of their being here. Ace and his men after all were paying customers, and any accusations otherwise would be futile and discriminatory. There was no solid proof why Leon should be mad suspicious of him. Yet, to shut the man up and please his ego, Ace handed over their pick up list, as he did every time Leon asked to see it. In reality, it didnā€™t matter what was on his list. Picking a fight would only make Leon happy for it would give him another reason to not like Ace.

Ace watched Leon read over the papers quickly, then nod and walk back away. He was a strange man indeed, but now that that was over, he could get back to work.

ā€œOkay Davis, start from the top and just go down,ā€ he said while handing him the list of what goods they would be buying today. Meanwhile Ace walked up the metal ramp into the supply belly to start carrying them to his car. It was in times like this where he had to carry heavy sheet titanium that he was thankful of his strength. Piece by piece, he threw back into the trunk of his vehicle. Some others helped as well, and all seemed to be going fairly smooth. That is, until he saw what was going on out of the corner of his eye.

Crip... he thought in a surprise, amber eyes widening a bit at the scene now unfolding. The man appeared out of no where (though that was nothing new), but this time he really went for it and got a hold of one of the newcomers. A chuckle escaped his lips calmly. Ace wasnā€™t technically proud of what Crip was doing. In fact, he kind of felt bad for the girl for it was her first minutes on Mars and already she was dealing with a life or death situation. Crip after all was kind of crazy at times. The reason for Aceā€™s chuckle was because of Crip actually having the balls to do something instead of watch from above like normal. To every many, let him play, was what Ace believed. If this is what kept Crip kicking alive and entertained on Mars, then let him be. It wasnā€™t as if the girl he was holding in front of him was really going to get hurt or anything. Crip after all was surrounded by top notch soldiers, trained in the perfect armies from Earth. It would be an interesting match if anything extreme happened, but Aceā€™s gut told him they would move on from this experience, everyone being unscathed. Crip was most likely wanting some fun.

ā€œOb boy,ā€ he muttered, tilting his head to the side as he watched those from afar. Aceā€™s men around him kept working, for they were on a schedule. The ship didnā€™t stick around all day, especially when it is on autopilot. Ace would have to give Crip a big thanks later on, for while Leon would be distracted handling the siutation, it made Aceā€™s job that much easier on this side of the dome. Going invisible, Ace entered through the supply doors once again on board. In a corner across the way was a tiny brown box marked fragile. It had to be it. Looking at it intently for a couple moments, the box then disappeared-- well, to the average eyes it did, but to Ace, he could still see it. Picking it up with his right hand, he held it up to his ear. Tick.. tick.... tick... Ah, what a sweet melody to hear, Ace thought happily as he held on to the box tightly, exiting the ship. This was the only item that he needed to ā€˜invisibilizeā€™ this time around... something so tiny would never be noticed, especially when objects before this time have been sometimes cars. Yet, this tiny object was very valuable, worth around 500K on Earth. His boss at the warehouse has been waiting for this tiny box to come in for months, and now it was here, safe and sound.

Ace was still invisible when he walked back to his truck. Those across the way, like Leon, Keeley, and Crip, were still over there. Crip still was holding a sharp piece of jagged steel to her neck. ā€œCā€™mon Leon, do something already,ā€ he laughed, his voice ominous like air to the men around him who could hear but not see him.
