Kyri was quietly smiling as she scooped some food on her tray, listening to everyone as was her personal pleasure. She suddenly understood what the excitement was about staying quiet, people stop noticing you in the most delightful way, all the kids in the room, herself included, who were simply trying to shrug off the incident, could simply blend into some nameless entity.

Of course, it was made all the sweeter that these kids were obviously nut jobs, absolute loons who had no business on a scientific business such as this.

Which of course, was made even sweeter by the fact that Kyri was the most inexperienced there, and oh how irony was like honey.

Admittedly that made the whole thing sweeter to know that these people would be stuck on this ship together despite their differences

And at this point the analogy to sweetness wasn't really working for Kyri... at this point it would be like just eating sugared honey... at this point she was just running circles in her head, at this point...

Would people eat sugared honey? Bees put in so much work, wouldn't it be rather insulting to import the product of beets... insinuating bees aren't good enough? Bees work damn hard. They don't need that extra "t" in "beets", they accept who they are and do it any way... they do it. Does that mean honey is a manufactured product? How is it that bees can live in ideal, feminist societies and produce liquid gold that never goes bad while humans can't even hold conversations with each other...

"Maybe we're a capitalist beehive, and instead of working in social equality and without freedom, we get to kill each other to make people work harder." Kyri had absentmindedly started verbalizing her own inner social commentary to the poor kid next to her, who had just wanted some food, not to be tossed into the middle of "Krazy Kyri's" little dialogue...
