Eve rubbed the back of her head. "Well, yes..." She murmured. "He would expect both of those, actually. I never really could dislike anyone, and I've told him time and time again how much I love theater..." She took a bite of her food, thinking. Once she had swallowed, she looked back at Jake, sort of sadly. "He wouldn't expect me to MAKE it, I guess... but I don't expect to make it, either." She stared down at the papers, unsure. "I'll bet he's just waiting for me to make a fool of myself..." She shook her head, trying to think of something else. "He probably wouldn't expect me to find another boyfriend, either. No matter what I think, he's convinced himself that he's the best out there for me... but I know that's not true." She glanced up at him, smiling.

Kaine was horrified to hear about her father, but he was glad that she chose to confide in him. As she explained, he took another bite of his sandwich, trying to wrap his head around this. "Why do you put up with it?" He asked. "I mean, I know he's your father, but you deserve to be treated better than that. Call Child Protection Services or do SOMETHING. You haven't even told anybody?" He shook his head, sadly. "Look, Tansie... He has no right to beat you like that, no matter what his reasonings are. You're a girl... so what? He can't change that..." For a moment he thought, but then he came up with an idea. "If you want, I could take care of him for you..." He said. "I could do something when I come to pick you up, tonight. He may be able to beat you, but I'm a healthy, young guy. I could probably take him if you'd let me, and he'd have no idea that I spoke to you about it, first. I could say that I heard the screaming while passing your house and saw the bruises that keep showing up on your arms. Well?"

(I told you. I suck at this. XD I thought that might be what you mentioned earlier... lol. Well it's not TOTALLY lost, I guess? ^^")
