Kaine watched as she drew penguins, sort of mezmerized by her work, until she gave him a suggestion. "I... suppose I could..." He murmured, quietly. "It... It probably isn't as big of a deal as I'm making it sound..." He added, rubbing the back of his head. "And I know that what I'm doing about it is making things worse instead of better... but it's too late to turn back, now." Another moment of silence followed before he sat up, nodding. "Alright," He agreed, cautiously. "I'll... I'll tell you." When the bell rang for class, he was up in an instant, going to throw the rest of his lunch in the trash before returning the tray. He then walked with Tansie out into the hallway, glancing around at all of the other kids. "Study hall... great," He groaned, obviously less-than-excited about it.
When the bell rang, Eve turned pale white. I didn't get ANY rehearsing done... She thought, helplessly. However, when Jake suggested that they go, Eve nodded and threw away the rest of her lunch before going back over to Jake and taking the script that he handed her. "M... M-Me, too..." She whispered, not sure if that was a good or bad thing, right now. Before they left, though, Eve grabbed Jake's arm, mustering up the courage to set things straight. "I... I really do like you, Jake..." She murmured, quietly. "A-And I want you to know that... I didn't do that just to be unpredictable. I-I really... I really like you, and... I-I'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable, at all!" Blushing bright red, she turned and ran off. "S-See you in class!" She called back to him, too embarrassed to stay with him, right now.
