Miette seemed almost paralyzed from the pain surging through her body as images of different people and locations appeared in front of her eyes at what seemed like the speed of light. She saw different parts of the school where students and teachers alike were battling against gruesome creatures like centaurs, gargoyles, and giants. She saw her friends falling one by one in battle while something came after her, ready to rip her apart.
Finally, the images and pain ceased, leaving her there still not moving as she stared of into nothingness. She could hear her friends' frantic cries but she could neither see nor respond to them. As she dazed off, she managed to mumble one word that had showed up repeatedly in front of her eyes. "Crimson." With that, her eyes rolled back into her head and she fell to the floor in a dead faint.
