Concordia: Sorcha's Escape

Five long years have passed since the destruction of Concordia; the structure, the culture, and most of all, the peace. No longer was peace a possibility for Concordians. In fact, even after just five years, they call peace a 'myth', something that only happened in the minds of peace hungry people. The new rulers, the League of Twelve, mark this festive day as an Independence of sorts. A Revolution that they believe a necessity to the future of Concordia. The former king knew nothing of building and commandeering an army, which is why the man was an easy defeat. This time, Concordia would have an army. A great and powerful one at that. During these five years, the League have been training men in the arts of war and the way of a warrior. They introduced guns, taking away the use of spears and bows and arrows. No longer were those permitted in the kingdom, the weapons now considered a blasphemy to the new way of life. All that aside, the League now were dressed in richly garbs, dancing with unwilling maidens around the magnificent ballroom of the palace. Everyone, besides the women, seemed to be having a joyful time, celebrating the 'Independence' of the League of Twelve's throning five years past.
In another area of the palace, on the opposite end, a young woman crept silently down a long, dark hall. She stayed to the shadows, a black cloak helping her to blend in. She seemed to have a certain destination in mind, her face locked in deep concentration and determination. White peeked through the cloak as the front opened, revealing a very petite build underneath the heavy garb. It swished around her feet as she dashes towards two closed doors at the end of the hall. Looking around her for any sign of life, she opens one of the doors and slips inside a chamber with one single mirror standing in the middle.
"You made it, my Queen." A soft voice whispered, catching the woman's attention. She turned in it's direction and nodded, her feet feather-light on the marble floor as she crossed towards the voice's owner.
"Yes, indeed. Do you have the scroll?"
"Yes, it is here." A black nose rolled a capsule towards the woman's bare feet. "It has something else you may find useful inside with the scroll, my lady." A smile curved along delicate features as the woman knelt down to wrap arms around a furry neck.
"Thank you, Malikye. You are a true friend and will be rewarded upon mine and my brother's return. Please, stay safe. Do not allow those evil men to notice you leaving the chamber." The long, gray snout of a wolf nodded, his mouth remaining closed, even though words could be heard.
"It is I who should be thanking you. You embark on a dangerous journey. I should tell you to remain safe, you will need it more than I. Now, you must go, my Queen! The mirror is ready for you. All you need do is speak your command, then step through and it will transport you to Earth." With tears rolling down her soft cheeks, she nodded and brushed a light kiss on the wolf's nose before pulling away and stepping to the mirror. Without looking back, she whispered the enchantment required and stepped through the glass. On the other side, the young woman entered into a world of liquid and her feet entangled amongst ropes she did not recognize. Little did she know, the future Queen of Concordia had indeed traveled to Earth, but already faced the dangers of a small pond where the long vines of lily pads tangled around her ankles, attempting to drown the struggling girl as she tried to break free.
