Not that he had to worry about that now. He didn't see what had happened, but next he knew the white-haired woman released him. Matt fell to the ground as soon as she was knocked off of him, and instantly curled up on the ground to press his hands over his ears. The alarm was starting to take over all other sounds so he didn't hear Rose, and with his eyes shut tight against the noise he didn't see his kidnapper lying next to him either. He could hardly sense his dark passenger; there would be no help from that end unless he was in immediate, critical danger. His Alter had even less tolerance for high-pitched sounds than he did - if his Alter was out, he probably would have been unconscious by now. Matt could maintain consciousness, but he wasn't good for much else.
