"I thought he was coming," Rose muttered half to herself and half to Aslan as she peered back into the building. She saw him lying on the ground, hands on his ears. "Oh for God's sake..." She attempted to lift him from afar with her telekinesis, both not wanting to go back into the building and unsure she could lift him out fast enough. However, her power would only work on other people if the target was willing to submit. Something inside the boy admantly protested, nulling her ability; he still lay on the floor, not moving an inch off the ground. Rose hurried back in to grab the boy, swearing under her breath. Unable to pull him out of a ball, she dragged him by the back of his hoodie and yelled at him to get up as they reached the hole. "Come on! I can't lift you through here! What's the matter, the alarm?" She fired a few bricks at the alarm bell, which broke it slightly and lessened the intensity of the sound. She got down on her knees and shook him a little. "Come on, hon, we need to go!"
