Mariel found herself smiling at his reply. She stepped forward and couldn't stop herself from hugging him. There was absolutely no way that she was wrong and that much she was certain of now. "You shouldn't be so understanding. Its dangerous." She whispered softly in his ear before releasing him and stepping back. Sitting down beside him, she took a deep breath. "Well, let's see. I guess the best place to start is to tell you what I am. I am one of 108 Sekirei's. We are much like humans except that we have powers, as you just saw. At the moment all of us are in this city and with the exception of a few rebellious people, searching for Ashikabi. The Ashikabi are humans and our masters, to whom we are devoted." Turning to Alistar, she took a deep breath. "And I believe that you are my Ashikabi."

Sapphire watched him as he picked up Vlad and leaned against the wall, petting him. She smiled softly and then stood up. "We don't get very many visitors. It isn't at all surprising that he is curious." As she said this, she walked across the room and into the kitchen. She turned the oven on to preheat and then walked back to the kitchens doorway. "So, Do you read much?" She asked. Now that he was here, she wasn't as nervous as she'd been but the silence drifting on in her apartment was starting to bother her.

Jen giggled softly when he called the restaurant a karaoke place. "Antionetta is the owner's daughter and she is a waitress. They aren't very strict on the dress code around here." She explained as she set the menu on the table. "As for my personal favorite, Mr. Mancini makes delicious crab ravioli's. So What would you like to drink?"

On the stage, the music started finally.
