Valius couldn't bring himself to look at anyone as his eyes gazed down the thousands of steps that led down into the valley. Everything seemed to become silent around the man. Nothing mattered at this moment, because his triumph had become nonexistent. The man's long gray hair blew in the wind wildly, but his body remained as still as a statue. Even Kiel's awaited appearance hadn't allowed the man to budge. How could rage actually paralyze you?

"Kiel we have problem." Valius growled these words, while not even facing him. "Sorcha has escaped to Earth." It was hard for the man to admit, but he was slowly realizing that he could possibly have the girl retrieved. Valius finally moved to face one of the Twelve. Like every other member, this... man was very formidable in combat. There was always something to dislike from each member, but it was all perception, which few didn't bother to acknowledge. "I don't want there to be any chance of that damn girl taking my throne, and I know you would be the best of the Twelve to come to if I need an expert to hunt her down quickly without causing a disturbance on Earth." Valius didn't lower his pride in Kiel's presence; it was something the members of the Twelve rarely let themselves do between each other.
