Adrian looked over at Annabella, seeing small tears run down her face. She always had a soft spot like this. Not wanting to hurt humans, feeling bad for them. He felt bad too. Who would want to work as a slave for some dead blood sucking beings? He put a gentle hand on her shoulders, and gave a small squeeze. "Hey, dont cry. It's not your fault you have to do this." Adrian said in a soft voice. He gave a small glare at those who seemed to be teasing her. They walked away, deeper into the crowd, as if they didnt do anything wrong. He looked over at the humans again, yet the two that were crying caught his eyes the most. They were the ones that probably needed someone nice. Maybe Annabella, or even Adrian himself will do.

He stuck his hands in his pocket and pulled out a lighter. As he watched, he flipped the lip, making small clicking noises to distract him. He stared down at his feet, continuing to fiddle with the lighter. No, he didnt smoke, but it was just something he got from his father before he past away. It was the only thing he had left of his family. The lighter was pretty old, but Adrian still kept it with him. Sometimes it helped him to calm down and relax.
