PLOT
In the world of Aria, a great wall divides its lands, dividing two of its four Kingdoms. To the North, Human’s reign and look to take over the world of Aria, making it into a Dragon free terrain. To the South the last of the Aevalen’s live with their Clan and Elders, blissfully unaware of the war raging over their very lives. Humans weren’t always so distrustful and murderous; they had once lived in peace with the Dragon Clans of Aria, until the King of Belathy felt that these intelligent and powerful creatures were a threat to his Kingdom.
On the rocky mountain terrains of Belathy, hundreds of Aevalen’s slept soundly as the waves of the green ocean below lapped over broken rocks. The King’s army was fast and stealthy as arrows rained down on the sleeping lizards. The elders were the first to awaken, as their scaly impenetrable coats were torn apart by the objects. There was only one way to break through an Aevalen’s skin; Magic.
Knowing their tempers and they’re overwhelming protectiveness of their young, the Army of Belathy was prepared for an all out tirade from the Dragons. Many deaths occurred, both humans and Dragons alike. The elders and Clan Leaders made a decision and took flight away from the lands of Belathy towards friendlier lands; the Kingdom of Shyas. There they made a new home on the rocky mountains of Shyas’s countryside.
Family was lost, lives were shattered, but the Aevalen’s knew they had to survive. Shyas was to the South and much colder then what they were used to, but the Dragon’s learned to adapt, another reason Belathy was scared. The Dragon’s could live almost anywhere.
In return for their safty, the Elders of the Aevalen Clan communicated telepathically to the Council of Shyas. A deal was made that would be the ultimate end to Belathy’s terrible reign. The Kingdom of Belathy had already gotten the Kingdom of Ardroda of the East and the Kingdom of Rhian of the West to merger with them in battle. The Aevalen’s were doomed if they turned down Shyas’s offer.
The deal was done and it was forever set in stone. In return for Shyas’s help against Belathy, Ardroda and Rhian, the Aevalen young the Elders and Clan Leaders had fled Belathy with to save, would grow with a selected few fighters and be their familiars. The young Aevalen’s would fight tooth and nail alongside these human knights, to free their race and win their rightful home back... but they would never see their clan again until that day of victory came...
The Aevalen Dragon Race
Aevalen’s have the ability to take on a human form, because their true appearance is much larger and much scarier to simply walk around the rest of society as they are. Born as Dragons, Aevalen’s can morph into a human form moments after they are born, taking on the appearance of a five year old child with Elfen ears. Aevalen’s are hard to come across, but are not rare, and only have one special talent (use of magic) that they can access at their desire from birth. However, Aevalen’s do not get to choose their power; they are the ones the power chooses. They can live up to two-hundred years, but eventually do die of old age.
Personality: Aevalen’s often have two personalities. As their appearance changes with their forms, so do their personality traits. It is often the war of opposites. Although Aevalen’s human form’s can be calm and quiet, their Dragon form is very loud and opinionated, and can grow wary of strangers very easily. It is also easily angered and will go into a tirade when provoked or attacked. But every Dragon is born with a unique personality and they can differ.
Food and Shelters: Aevalen’s can go days without food, and find the comforts of any terrain a suitable place to sleep and make a den in.
Armour and Weapons: Their armour stems from their hard and scaly skin when in their Dragon form, often impenetrable by a simple blade. Magic, however, they are not immune to and can be harmed severely when attacked by any magical source. Their sharp talons and razor blade tails are also a force to be reckoned with.
Magic: Although their race is of magical equality, only the elders and clan leaders can use magic. Sons and Daughters of the Clan Leaders can also use different forms of Magic when they ascend into their adult forms.
Talents: Aevalen’s are born with very unique talents and each acquires their own very special one. Aevalen’s can only attain one power and no other Dragon may attain the same power. They can also connect telepathically with any other living being in their Dragon Form, as long as that being can think for itself.
The World of Aria
The world of Aria is divided between North, South, East and West. North being controlled by the Kingdom of Belathy, South ruled by the Kingdom of Shyas, East the Kingdom of Ardroda and West the Kingdom of Rhian.
Belathy is surrounded by Oceans of Green, crystal like waves. Not only was it most popular for its magnificent and odd Ocean surrounding, but also the gentle beasts that lived on the rocky mountain terrains right above the crystal wave shows. Spectators would gather from every corner of Aria to get a glimpse at the beautiful giant lizards and they never harmed a single soul. Humans seemed to rather amuse them, as it showed.
Shyas is surrounded by trees and forests, and more towards the countryside are mountains that seem to spread for hundreds of years. Further within these mountains and trees lives the last living Clan of the Aevalen Dragon’s, hidden from human sight in their nocturnal slumber. Within the Kingdom wall’s of Shyas live the younger Aevalen Dragon’s, training with human’s against Belathy. If one should want a look at one of these rare beasts when they’re not in their human form, one would say the safe bet would be to enter the Castle of Shyas. You have less of a chance of getting your face ripped off.
Ardroda lives up to its name. Deserts and baron mountains run far and wide, not even an Aevalen could stand to live there for months at a time. The Castle and people surrounding it have learned to adapt to this hot and often humid weather over time, and even the nights never cool down unless a cool breeze from the East rolls in. Water is scarce and Ardroda often relies on Rhian for their water supplies, which is why they joined Belathy in exterminating the Aevalen Dragon’s. If Rhian was against them, they die of dehydration because Shyas’s rivers are also running dry from the changing weathers.
Rhian is basically water and ice country. It snows all year round, with blizzards reaching below minus ten degree’s. The snow reaches so high that the mountains merely look like hills, which is why Rhian’s Castle is located on a mountain called Mount Lier, the highest mountain peak on Aria. The Rhian’s are the more cultured and technological savvy of the four Kingdoms, having built rope cables and lifts to get them to and fro the mountain castle. When the winds shift from the East, the snow melts and water is a far cry from scarce. Rhian gains most of their weaponry from Belathy, which is why an alliance was formed against the Aevalen Dragons.
The War and Alliance
Belathy is ruled by a King and his councilman. The King could stand little of the Dragon’s, knowing one day they would branch out, create more Clan’s, and with the knowledge they could take on human form he was worried his bloodline would soon be overthrown by these lizards. The Councilman suggested he send his army and Royal guards to slaughter the beasts as they slept, using magic to bind their arrows and swords so to break through the Dragons impenetrable scales.
All did not go as planned. The beasts were smart and fled with the remaining new born Dragon cubs, fleeing to Shyas, a very independent Kingdom ruled by only Councilman. In order to guarantee these beasts be wiped out of existence for the safety of their future anarchy, Belathy demanded the help of Rhian, knowing Ardroda would have no choice but to follow in battle. Years later, they had received word the Dragon Cubs had been handed over to Shyas’s Castle for safety, and that the little beasts had begun to take human form. The monsters were learning to adapt in a civilised human environment, as well as transform into magic yielding Dragon beasts! Belathy, Ardroda and Rhian all agreed they could not let this happen.
Shyas would fall, along with those horrible, disgusting beasts they raised alongside them.
Shyas and the Aevalen Dragon’s
Aevalen Dragon’s rarely took on human form, although it was attainable to them. They could not speak in the language of humans, but telepathically they could speak any language and understand it in turn. The meeting between the councilman of Shyas and the Aevalen Clan Leaders was an awkward and intense moment, especially because the Dragon’s were best known throughout all of Aria for their fiery and short tempers. How could they go about asking these creatures to hand over the very children they risked their lives to save? As Liam, the head Councilman, looked up into the murky blue eyes of the head Leader, he knew then and there how truly scary a fully grown Aevalen could be.
Telepathically he told the giant blue Dragon, Aldane, his plan. They would hand over their Dragon Cubs, whom were now experimenting morphing in and out of their Elfen looking forms, to them to take back to the safety of their Castle. There they would train with Knights and Guards to learn to protect themselves and to fight alongside their ‘masters’ when the time came to take down the three Kingdoms that wished them harm. The Knights and Guards would call them their familiars, because they would be the only true companion the cubs would ever know. Of course, the Dragon Clan Leader, Aldane, and one of the Elders could visit regularly and train them in their Dragon Forms, but until Belathy was taken down, they could not go back to their brethren in the mountains of Shyas.
Aldane, although he didn’t trust humans any longer after the betrayal of Belathy, agreed. But if any harm should come to his Cubs, he would make sure every human in Shyas and Belathy alike would die at his claws. The rest of the Clan agreed to that promise, and Liam gave his word that the Cubs would be treated as any other child of Shyas was.
Eighteen years on, Councilman Liam has lived up to his Promise, keeping Aldane’s wrath at bay.

(DRAGON TALENTS NOTE, PLEASE READ: Knights have no Magic what-so-ever. They rely on their Dragon’s talents, therefore calling themselves the Knight’s of that element. They simply have the fighting skill to help against powers dragons cannot, ie, Dragon’s are defenceless against magic, whereas Knights are not.)
(GENERAL NOTE: These are the main characters, and let me warn you, there is no rule that says only males have to be Knights. Females can be Knights and they can also have female Dragon’s as their familiars. There’s no rule here that says, female dragons go with male knights and vice-versa. I’d like a mix of males and females please, this isn’t a romance based Rp, it’s about friendship, action, adventure... yeah you get the drift.)
Character Sheets
Aevalen Dragon Character Sheet
- Code: Select all
Name: (Aevalen Dragon’s are given a name based off of their looks and features at birth, they’re unique, just like their special talents and colouring.)
Age: (Besides Aldane, his Mate and the Clan Elder, the Dragon’s have to be between 18 and 21 human years)
Gender: (M or F)
Knight: (Eg, if your character is the Dragon of Fire, your knight is the Knight of Fire. If a character sheet has yet to be filled, leave this blank and come back and edit. Delete this if you’re character is Aldane, his Mate or the Clan Elder.)
Talent: (Is he/she the Dragon of Wind, Light, Darkness, Water, Wisdom, Dreams, Strength, or Fire? And please explain how they use these talents.)
Human Form: (Now, here’s where it gets hard. I need a detailed description, and remember, in human form Dragon’s have ears pointed like an Elfe. Also, if you have a picture, that would be great, but please include a description.)
Dragon Form: (Their human form often derives from their Dragon form. Like colouring, facial description, etc. But also remember, each Dragon is unique, some Dragon’s may both be blue, but they have different coloured tones, light blue, dark blue, etc. So read other peoples bio’s. And just because the Dragon of Fire may mean red, the Dragon himself may not be red, but orange. Get it?)
Personality: (Let’s see if you read the Aevalen Dragon tips, shall we? Often, Aevalen’s in their human form, have very different personalities when in their tree Dragon Form. An Aevalen whom is calm and collected in their human form, may be horrible personality decrepit in their Dragon form, although Aevalen’s aren’t known for their well kept tempers. They could even be vibrant and outgoing in their human form, but withdrawn and frightened in their Dragon form.)
History: (What was it like as a young Dragon living within the human wall’s of Shyas? How did you come into your human form? How did you react when paired up with your human friend, a Knight who called you his familiar? This can be left blank if you have yet to have a knight.)
Friends and Foes: (What Dragon do you least get along with? Whom are you closer to out of your brothers and sisters? This can be left blank and found out through game play, or just by skimming through a bio and thinking, well, my character wouldn’t get along very well with that one. This is optional.)
Other: (Anything else you would like to add? Like annoying traits, etc? This is optional.)
Knight’s Character Sheet

Name: (First and Last name’s please, middle names are optional)
Nickname(s): (A name only your Dragon Familiar call’s you by)
Age: (This is pretty much a free call, the Aevalen Dragon’s came to the Shyas Castle when they were still only babies, but your character may have been much older, or younger at that time.)
Gender: (M or F)
Knight Status: (Knight of Fire, Water, Wind, Light, Dark etc.)
Aevalen Dragon: (Eg, if your character is the Knight of Wind, then your Dragon is Ellesky, the Dragon of Wind etc. Leave this blank if a character sheet is yet to be filled by someone, then come back and edit.)
Skills: (What is your character especially good at? Archery? Swordplay? Hand on hand combat or all of the above? Please be descriptive.)
Weaponry: (This contributes to their skills. If they’re a swordsman, they have a sword, archer, they have a bow and arrow, etc.)
Appearance: (I love picturing someone’s character in my mind, so please if you have a picture, also write a detailed description. I’m not expecting a paragraph worth of how great they look, but you get what I mean.)
History: What was it like growing up in Shyas, free from the reign of war like Belathy? Maybe you didn’t grow up in Shyas, maybe you were born in Rhian or Ardroda? How did it affect you when you became a Knight? How did you become a knight? What was it like living with a baby Dragon?)
Friends and Foes: (What character annoys you? Are you friends with everyone? Leave blank if you want to explore this topic through gameplay. This is optional.)
Other: (Allergies? Little traits, etc. This is optional.)
Alright, that’s it, hope you can join! But one more thing, there’s just one rule, because this RP is pretty freelance, please write out long and detailed posts. I know how boring it can get waiting a day and bit only to have a post only about a paragraph or two sentences long. Down below is my characters bio, which will give you an example of what you’re should look like. Enjoy.
Name: Ellesky
Age: 18
Gender: F
Knight:
Talent: Dragon of the Wind. Ellesky can control the wind to a certain degree, she can shift it when she fly’s, giving her an added boost, and can also use it against her enemy’s. She can create mini whirlwinds and in her Dragon form, can create tornadoes with her wings and breath. In her human form, she is somewhat weaker, but can still throw someone off their feet with a simple glance.
Human Form:
Ellesky has dark blond hair, naturally curled and held up by green vines. Her complexion is tanned, and her height is quite small, only 5’5. Her build is also small, lacking in curves and such. Often people mistake her of being of Elven decent because of her pointed ears, but truthfully they are simply a trait that Aevalen’s take to hide their true heritage. Her eyes are a deep blue, and when she is in her Dragon form, Aevalen’s eyes never change their colour.
Dragon Form:
Ellesky’s Dragon form is quite small compared to most of her relations and race. Being still a very young Dragon, Ellesky still has a lot of time to grow and perfect her powers. She isn’t very strong in her human form, and in Dragon form she can’t control her giant size when fighting. She has only begun learning how to fly and her landing is... ahem... not so graceful.
Personality: Ellesky is naive and often thinks the world is a kind and accepting place. She is a quiet soul and thinks there is a solution to every obstacle. Her laugh is contagious and she is often trusting towards anyone who shows the same courteous behaviour towards her. Although calm and not a generally easy to anger girl, when Ellesky is angry or see’s someone she sees as a dear friend hurt or being attacked, her Dragon form is not so forgiving.
Although Ellesky’s human form is calm and quiet, her Dragon form is very loud and opinionated, and can grow wary of strangers very easily. It is also easily angered and will go into a tirade when provoked or attacked, quite like her human form, her Dragon form is just as unpredictable.
History: Ellesky grew up in the castle of Shyas, being treated as normal as the next human child. It was never a secret of her and her brother’s and sister’s heritage, because Clan Leader Aldane would show up every year or so in his great, rather scary in Ellesky’s opinion, Dragon form. He would make them morph back into their smaller Aevalen Dragon selves, and shove them off of the cliff’s high in the mountains of Shyas. In Ellesky’s opinion, her Knight would never know the brutality of being shoved off of a mountain top by a fully grown Aevalen Dragon.
Things weren’t always that way, however. The children of Shyas were warm and welcoming, playing with her and her Aevalen siblings whenever training wasn’t needed. Councilman Liam always kept a close eye on them; Ellesky supposed he was afraid of Clan Leader Aldane getting angry if any harm came to them by the human children. Ellesky couldn’t blame him, Aldane was a rather scary Dragon, and he was the Dragon of strength.
When she was told about the war that was to come with Belathy of the North, her immediate reaction was hurt and anger. Why would someone want to hurt them, when they hadn’t done a thing to any other living being? She knew, though, that no harm would come to she or her brethren while their knights were by their sides. Ellesky couldn’t have been paired up with a more alike Knight. Unlike most of her brethren sent to the castle of Shyas, it had taken a while for Ellesky to be paired up with a suitable partner. She was to placid in her human form for a male who would take training to seriously, and much to dangerous in her Dragon form for any human who couldn’t at least stand up to him or herself. Taylo Alteri seemed to be the best option and Ellesky took to her right away. However, in her Dragon form, Ellesky was a shy cry away from the friendship she and Taylo shared in her human form. The link between Taylo and Ellesky – whilst in her Dragon form – is steadily growing stronger, but for an Aevalen, things like closeness and friendship do take time when in their more traditional Dragon forms.
