The Legend of Zelda: The Rise of Ganondorf

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Shronian on Thu Feb 07, 2008 9:25 pm

A long time ago...

Before life began, before the world had form, three golden goddesses descended upon the chaotic land of Hyrule. They were Din, the Goddess of Power, Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom, and Farore, the Goddess of Courage.

Din, with her strong flaming arms, cultivated the land to create the earth. Nayru poured her wisdom onto the earth to give the spirit of law to the world. Farore's rich soul created all life forms who would uphold the law.

These three great goddesses, their work completed, returned to the heavens, leaving behind the golden, sacred Triforce. It was said that whom ever posessed the holy relic would be granted their heart's desire, and thus many would hunt for it, and all would fail.

The lands of Hyrule would prosper for many centuries. But eventually a shadow fell over the land. A great lord rose in the west, a lord of thieves. He came under pretence of friendship, however, in the end, he proved otherwise.

Yet, a hero was born, who was prophesied to battle this great evil and banish it to the fringes of time. He came from out of the depths of the forests of Hyrule, to combat the evil that had infested our land. He faced much peril and danger, becoming the hero we all knew he would be.

But things were not as we had percieved....
He was but a boy, and not ready for the burden of a hero. And so it was that as he drew the Master sword, the blade of evil's bane, from it's resting place, he opened the door to the sacred realm, and passed into deep slumber. He was too young, and it seemed that destiny was content to wait, and our last hope to sleep until such a time as he was ready to take up the hero's mantle.
But evil never rests. That fiend Ganondorf took his advantage. He entered into the sacred realm, into the holy Temple of Light and found us, the Sages, ready to protect the Triforce. However it happened that his power was far greater than our own. He slew us were we stood, his magic striking the sages down, all exept for me, whom he left for dead. He went forth to collect the triforce, yet apon his touch, it spilt into three leaving just power in his hand. He was furious and stormed through the realm, his evil infesting every thing, untill the Temple of light was the last sanctuary of good left to us.

I am Rayu, the sage of light, and I can scarcely imagine the harm this sorcerer can do. The road we take, is a dark one.
Pathetic little fool! Do you realize who you're dealing with?
-Ganondorf-

And so... You must be silenced!

What does not kill you only makes you stronger, or puts you into a diabetic coma.

A flash of light flared in the midst of the master sword's chamber. It was there and then gone in but a second, leaving behined a man. He was tall and broad sholdered, his figure bound in thick muscle. He was clad in a mixture of rough leather and black armor. Apon his brow rested a circlet set with a jewel, a symbol of his birth right. His dark skin shone slightly green, and his hair was red like fire. His eyes were dark and cruel but mirrored his vast intelligence. He stood there for a long time in the darkness of the chamber, seething in his frustration. The legend had spoke nothing of the triforce splitting! His anger, which he was normally very good at hiding, boiled to the surface again. Letting out a bellow of rage, his hands burst into flame and magical energy flared from his eyes. He would have to look further into this, The king of Hyrule would likely know more. But he would be hard to get to, esspecially since the incident with his daughter Zelda. That little brat should have stayed out of his way.

"That old fool will explain this to me." Was all he said before storming out of the temple.

Knave watched the guards of the castle from his tower room closely. His yellow eyes went out of focus as his mind's eye took control.

How much they were like ants, it seemed to him. They possessed no power to choose what to did freely. They relied on the orders of superiors. They did their jobs well, but it wasn't like this pat of Hyrule was particularly plagues with crime. hey would be useful in any regime.

His scrying spell wore off and he went back to looking at some documents. He owned a good third of the eastern side of eastern Castle Town. He was rich- the only thing Knave needed now was power. He grinned. How he would like to be more than a simple nobleman. A nobleman and magi of course, but a noble none the less.

Okay, First things fist.
Rules:
No god-modding
No sexuality
No homo-sexuality
No cursing!

Now, with that out of the way, If you are creating a previously non-existing character, you must create a profile. Follow this outline:
Name:
Race/Monster leader: example- Zora or moblin warlord. ( pm me for use of monster leaders)
Sex: male/female
Appearance:
Allignment: good/evil
Backstory: how you came into all this.

If you have been designated as a main character (zelda, sages, ganon, ect.) you need not post a profile, as I am sure we all know who they are.
There are openings in this character range. If you wish, you can go to The Legend of Zelda RP discussion page for a list of playable characters. But I must tell you, I must approve of you taking a main character, so PM me for approval.

((No sexuality means no homo-sexuality. Jeez. Gay bashing galore today. Weird. Not that I'm gay. As Himros and Wally can alibi, I have a hot girlfriend. :D))

Name: Knave -> Markys O'Banion
Race/Monster leader: Hylian
Sex: Male
Appearance: 5'11". 140 lbs. Slightly lanky. Middle parted one-length hair that comes down to the chin, black. Shrewd yellow eyes. Skinny with some muscle.
Allignment: Evil
Backstory: Knave, as he is called, is a corrupt nobleman. As landlord of a portion of Hyrule Castle Town, he charges too much for rent and does too little for tenants. As he is rich, he has all that he wants- except power. As a magi he has been drawn towards darker magicks his entire life. Now, at age 28 he has begun to learn necromancy from the castle's Library.

Name: Lord Malvaldo
Monster Leader: Lord of undead
Sex: Male
Appearance: Lord Malvaldo is 6'6'' and dons an outfit of black armor (much like that of my profile picture.) His black cape flows from his shoulders as if it were made of black flames.
Allignment: Evil
Backstory: Many years ago, before Ganondorf ever approached the King of Hyrule, He made a visit to a King of a different kind. He came to Lord Malvaldo with a plan, a plan of great wealth and power. Malvaldo agreed to the terms, and is now a main supplier of minions and a valued commander of Ganondorf's armies of undead.

Malvaldo was outside the Temple, awaiting his masters appearance, on top of his skeletal steed, Deathwing. Ganondorf reimerged from the temple in a rage. "What is the matter my lord, did you not find what you were seeking?"

"Find it!? Of course I found it! But somthing has occured that I had not anticipated! Come, we go to the castle! The king will explain this to me, after we have infiltrated his precious home!" Ganondorf spat as he came striding out of the temple and mounted his black horse, Darkfire. Kicking the horses flanks he shot of int the darkness, A glowing triangle shown like a burning torch on his hand.

The castle appeared in the darkness, it's form taking shape out of the shadows. He dismounted and set off across the grounds with out waiting for Malvaldo. A gaurd was standing alert at the gate, his eyes were scanning the road before him. Ganondorf could have killed the man easily, but was it worth a possible raising of the alarm. Looking to his right he saw a heavy growth of vines on the wall of rock leading up to a higher vantage point. Grabbing hold he tested it's strength and began to climb. He would make into the castle one way or another.

Name: Aiden Danair
Race: Hylian, resident of Kakariko Village
Sex: Male
Appearance: Aiden is 5'11" tall with short blonde hair. He wears simple clothes and doesnt have much money to his name. His armor is nothing more than a few assorted leather peices and a non-descript shield. He carries a shortsword at his side.
Allignment: good
Backstory: Aiden has lived in Kakariko village his entire life with his mother, his father having died while he was very young. His mother will not tell him how his father dies, so Aiden has trained with his sword and shield in all of his free time in order to one day find out what happened to his father.

Aiden woke up in the middle of the night. He looked around trying to find out what had caused him to wake up. He crept to the window and looked out into Kakariko village. However, seeing nothing amiss he went back to bed, however he couldn't help but feel something very important had just happened.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Rise of Ganondorf

Ganondorf crept across the grounds and up to the wall that immediatley surrounded the castle. There he saw many gaurds, at least a dozen around the front entrance. They had bulked up their numbers since his last visit. As he pondered how he would get into the castle, he found that his right hand was glowing softly. He brought up his hand and looked at it, seeing a symbol of the triforce, with the top most triangle glowing the brightest. His eyes snapped back up to the gaurds. It was true that with his original powers, he could not likely defeat over a dozen royal gaurds, but now? Well he didn't know, but there was only one way to find out. He consentrated on the triforce's glow, letting himself feel its power. Soon he dicerned the slow steady thrum of its energy, he felt it as it was one with his own life force. He traced the power to its source, deep in his core, there the triforce was bedded. He envoked it and felt the heat of the power fill his body. Those men were as nothing to him, he knew it now. Striding out onto the path he approached them boldly. The first to see him brought their spears up and opened their mouths to shout. They never got the chance, though. His hand came up and a wave of dark energy silently swept forward and threw every last gaurd in front of him into the wall above the moat with shattering force. They all dropped, unconcious into the moat, where they would drown. A small smile split Ganondorf's lips as he came up to the door. "The first casualties of my war, and they never stood a chance." He said softly to himself. The doors came open with a push and he entered into the main hall. It was duel leveled and gaurded by about thirty or so gaurds. They all came alert at once and made for him. This would be fun.

Malvaldo stepped down from Deathwing as Ganondorf scaled the wall. He would need an easy escape route.
As he aproached the gate he plucked a small throwing knife from his belt. "I need entrance to see the King." He said in a horse whispy voice.
The gaured simply stared, eyes glazed, and asked, "Do you have an appointment?"
"You see thats the problem..." He then released the knife, which flew into the throat of the soldier. He fell silently to the ground in a crumpled heap. Malvaldo then grabbed the corpse's keys and went into the room to the right.

Knave heard the outcry as guards were assaulted. Knave had no idea what to do. The guards were not powerful enough to stop the man who attacked them. Knave could feel the awesome power from inside the castle.

It was the Triforce of Power. Knave could feel its seductive tendrils reaching towards his dark soul. It dangled just outside his reach. Of course Knave would not be able to defeat this man, even if he could take it. As it was dark energy, Knave knew the man's weaknesses.

Knave had little schooling in light magic. Healing was for priests and page boys.

Yet the man could not stand still. He was drawn towards the intense energy. How could he aid this man who held power like it were sand?

Malvaldo emerged from a doorway on the opposite side of the gate. He then made his way up the winding road, towards the castle. He came to the doors that were now standing wide open. His master had already been this way. He walked through the abandoned hall, glancing at the lifeless corpses of the soldiers. This was where he belonged, amongst the dead. He raised an armor clad hand which began to glow ominously. Each soldier in the hall began to convulse, their skinn shrinking, faces morphing. They stood as redead, brainwashed slaves to his will. Malvaldo then began to walk forward, his new slaves in toe. He came around a corner and collided with someone, a someone who had an evil energy that Malvaldo could feel. They had potential. He looked down to see a thin, heartless wretch, Knave.

Ganondorf came swiftly down the hall to the king's throne room. With a wave of his hand the doors exploded inward. He came through the cloud of dust that was created by the blast of his magic to see the throne room empty, as he had expected. "He walked briskly to the other end of the room, up to the throne and stood before it. "The symbol of the divine right to rule. The Hylian throne." He made a stiff sweeping movement of his hand, which caused the throne to slide to one side. Behind where it had been was tunnel that led to a very intricate sytem of escape routes. Ganondorf had found out about it from one of the many ancient maps he'd studied in the castle's library. This had of course been while he was in the good graces of the king. Decending into the darkness he chuckled. "I'm comming my lord."

Aiden woke up for the second time in the night. This time he knew something was wrong. He got out of his bed, donned his leathers and weapons and snuck out of the house. Walking into Kakariko Village he could swear he heard something far off in the distance...something was calling him. Not knowing why he did so, Aiden decided to follow the call and began walking for Hyrule Field, a place no sane person would want to be in the night. Coming into the field, Aiden saw the undead begin to rise from the ground around him. Taking the initiative he had, Aiden brought his sword down in a two-handed blow on the skeleton between him and the Castle. Even as the bone head was still flying through the air, Aiden was taking off at a dead sprint for the front of the castle, when he suddenly realized the drawbridge to the castle was up for the night. Unsure what he would do when he got there, Aiden continued running for the moat surrounding the castle town. As he approached, he slwoed down and saw a great many skeletons coming up behind him, pinning him ebtween their claws and the castle moat. Then, aiden felt something slam into his shoulder, and he was convinced it was a skeleton raking its claws into his body. However, when Aiden turned towards the threat all he saw was a rope coming to rest against the town walls across the moat. Without hesitating, Aiden swam across the moat and began climbing the rope towards the top of the wall and what he hoped would be safety.

"Eh, who in Ganon's name are you?" Knave asked, hands going up into an arcane sweep. When the tall figure did not attack, Knave summoned magical armor for himself with a few syllables and waited for the man to speak. Knave knew that the one who spoke first would for the entire conversation be expected to give more information.

His magical armor was only a shadow, but the shadow itself looked as if it were full plate mail. As it was conjuration, the armor weighed nothing and was flexible. It was Knave's most commonly used defensive spell, Ghost Armor.

"Interesting." Was all Malvaldo said. He then motioned to the Redead, they moved forward and attacked. This would be a fitting test for this man. Malvado himself, stepped back to observe the fight. If this potential could not defeat 30 redead, they were not worth his time.

Darunia, Big Brother of the Goron people, murmered in his sleep. In his dreams, he saw a town he did not recognize, somewhere in a rocky desert, burning. He heared the cries of Hylian women.....

He uncurled from the armadillo-like ball that he slept in and looked around his chambers. They were no different than they usually were: the walls of tan Death Mountain rock, the unlit torches, various bits of furniture. But somehow, something felt wrong.

He stepped outside. The Gorons did not understand the Hylian ideal of "privacy," and so his chambers had no door. He looked out to his people's capitol city.

Goron City was just like it usually was at night. The whole place was actually a huge cavern with round, tiered walls. Tunnels branched out from it, each leading to some place of importance for Darunia's people. The Big Brother could see several Gorons curled into spheres, fast asleep.

Everything was normal. Why did he feel so uneasy?
