Gardenia is a very maternal young lady for she's always looking out for others. One downside of this is that she sometimes pokes her nose where it shouldn't belong because she's so concerned. She was raised to be very respectful of her elders and she seems to act older than her 16 years. She lives up to her middle name in the sense that she is sweet, but can be prickly too. This happens due to the fact that she takes alot of things seriously and doesn't have a great sense of humor. While Gardenia likes dressing up, she's not afraid to get her hands dirty, probably due to the fact that her family owns a successful flower shop and she can be usually found in their greenhouse.

History
Gardenia is the 2nd oldest of 4 with 2 brothers and 1 sister. Being the eldest daughter, she was raised to be more responsible than the younger daughter. She took that roll seriously and did her best to care for all her siblings, even her older brother, even though that drove him nuts a few times. Gardenia's family owns a highly successful flower shop and they have a few other stores all over the kingdom. Her maternal grandmother is the current owner and the shop became a second home for Gardenia. Gardenia was named after her mother and grandmother's favorite flowers. She loves to garden and is very good with the customers. When she's not gardening, or watching over her siblings, she usually out and about with friends. She has an obsession with hats, and is always wearing one. Despite the fact that she loves shopping, she's very frugal with money overall. While her life has been a good one, there was one dark time in her life. When she was 6 years old, her house caught on fire while her parents were away due to family matters and her grandma was watching them. Gardenia was sick that day and her grandmother was watching her. Something short circuited and some curtains caught on fire. Her grandmother was outside in the garden when she saw smoke. Unfortunately by the time she saw it, the fire had moved rapidly. Gardenia smelled the smoke and hid in her closet because she was too scared to do anything else. Her grandmother called for help at a neighbors and the fire brigade showed up. The closet Gardenia was in eventually collapsed and trapped the little girl, but miraculously she was rescued. She her back shoulder was injured and she had smoke inhalation, but other than that she was fine physically. Unfortunately, Gardenia feared several things and still suffers nightmares from that. When she finds out though she's a guardian for one of the princes, she is surprised but does take her job very seriously and intends to do her best.
