Personality: Nellie is a strong hearted girl. She knows what she wants and will go to lengths to receive it. She almost always has something to say any situation. She is mentally stronger then she is physically but, will never allow anyone to push her around. Nellie generally doesn't get along with kids her own age and kids in high school. She didn't have the greatest school experience. She prefers to only socialize with her cast mates. Although she does talk a lot Nel loves time alone, she enjoys meditating in odd stretched out positions and humming to herself while sketching in her free time. Nellie is usually in a bad mood, meaning she will snap back quickly. When she's not in a bad mood you better enjoy it. She dreams of continuing on with the circus and becoming world known for her special talent along side her brother.
History: Nellie was born into poverty. Named Cornelius, after her grandmother, the name never quite fit her so she simply goes by Nellie. She was born a few years after her brother and followed close behind in his love for contortion. Which soon became her obsession, twisting herself till it hurt. When Nellie was little she attended a public elementary school. She loved showing of to the other kids her ability, and never quite understood why they couldn't bend as she did. During 4th grade Nellie's parents lost there home. They moved from hotel to hotel, trying to keep costs down as much as possible. Some nights the siblings went to sleep hungry, sometimes cold. Sometimes they slept in the car, her fathers most precision item. Nellie would lay over the back seat with her brother.
One weekend, not long after 1st grade had began Nellie's older brother showed her to the circus. Their parents had given them each small amounts of money, as birthday gift and (brother) being older brought Nellie to spend her money at the circus. Sitting down to watch the show her eyes got big, she saw the stage in front of them, and it was enticing. Many times after big day at the circus Nellie and her brother would go back, sneaking in, standing by the door. By middle school the two became regulars, seeing the circus as often as possible.
When Nellie finished her freshman year of high school she dropped out. She wasn't able to sustain her grades she didn't want to go to college. She simply wished to be a performer. To be in the circus acts for every performance. And so her wish came true when she was welcomed by the new ring master, who was only a year older then her into the circus along side her brother. And it was like a dream.
Other: Nel sometimes sneaks away from her wonderful circus world to spray paint graffiti around the city. So far no one knows her secret, though they wonder who had added this tiny bit of color to their grey world.
