Appearance
Emily is a slender girl of average height. Her hair is a warm ginger in color, and accents her natural green hues. Her eyebrows arc delicately over her eyes, giving her face a very feminine and soft look. Her jawline is softly curved, giving her face a rounded shape. She only has two ear piercings, both in the lobe part of her ear. As for tattoos- she has none. Her legs take up the majority of her body, and are athletically toned from dancing. Her sense of fashion is a bit hipster-ish or maybe Forever 21. She loves floral patterns and brightly colored pants or skirts. Scarves and necklaces are her favorite accessories. On her left wrist there is a small burn, where she hurt herself cooking dinner with her mother one night. It is a small scar, barely noticeable.
A small burn on her left wrist, and her natural green eyes.
Personality
Emily is painfully loyal, to the point that it may even hurt her sometimes. Once she’s decided she’s on your side, she’s by your side to the bitter end. Emily is a charming young woman, and she finds that it is very easy for her to make friends. She likes to keep to herself, as large crowds make her a little nervous. Not to say that she doesn’t enjoy a night out dancing with friends, because she does. Speaking of friends, Emily tends to be the one person who keeps everyone together. Even through years of growing apart, she has always kept in touch with her friends and hopes that she always can. Emily is an extremely bright and caring young woman. She will almost always go out of her way to help anyone in need. This could be considered a weakness of hers, as she is often giving more than she should be. Because she is extremely caring, she gets herself hurt or into trouble. She is a ‘glass half full’ kind of girl, and enjoys life-- and loves reading almost more than she loves chocolate covered strawberries.
Emily is terrible at lying, but is very good at keeping secrets. She believes that trust and honesty are the foundations of all stable relationships. She loves animals, particularly birds, because her mother used to call he ‘little bird’. Robins and Blue Jays are her favorites. She secretly writes in a diary, religiously, every night. She’s a huge, huge scardie cat-- Ghost stories and midnight walks are most certainly not for Emmie. I mean, the girl sleeps with all of her limbs tucked under the covers for fear of a demon grabbing them if one dangles off (she reads a little too much...). Over-all she is a spunky soft spoken young woman.
# She is a recovering anorexic.
# She is a big fraidycat, but pretends to be brave.

History
Emily grew up in a sleepy town, with a hard handed father and a French mother. Her mother was from Paris, her father from Louisiana. They met in Vegas, when her father was at a poker table losing big-time to a large-haired, big-boobed lady across the table. Her fire red hair looked ablaze in the casino lights, and boy was she pretty with those big fat diamonds dripping from her ears. Her dad lost all his money that night, to the stranger from France, but next night with a bottle of vodka in one hand and a ring in the other-- they got hitched. Soon after Emily was born. Emily was 13 when her mother passed away, leaving her in her father's large plantation home. Papa, as she calls him, doesn't come out of his study much, so it's just her and the housekeeper Peggy most of the time. Well, when she's home anyway. Most of the time Emily prefers to be with her friends, or riding her large white stallion named Snow.
After her mother's passing Emily sought comfort with a boy working on her father's farm, named Alex. A city boy just trying to earn some money over the summer for college. He was 17, she was 15. She fell hard and fast for the first time, and believed they'd be together forever. After a year of being together, she found out he was cheating on her, on her 16th birthday. Heartbroken and enraged she took her father's old baseball bat and put it to the boy's brand new Ford. That was three summers ago now, and she hasn't had a real relationship since. Not that any of that matters now. On the fateful day that she was chosen as a Traveler, Emily was heading home from school on the metro- as she always did during the week. It was just like every other day; and then the train jerked. The lights flickered off and the next thing she knew- her ears were buzzing with a loud ringing. The rest is, as they say, history.
