Name: Tarrant Hightopp AKA "The Mad Hatter"
Age: Eighteen
Grade: Senior
Gender: Male
Eye Color: Bright, vivid green like a cat
Hair Color/Length: Tarrant's hair changes length constantly, either in a mohawk or a fauxhawk. Currently, it is a fauxhawk. It also changes color and is currently blue.
Height: Six feet, six inches
Weight: One hundred and seventy-seven pounds
Scars: Tarrant has quite a few burns and scars on his wrists and legs which he decided to cover up with tattoos. He also has a few bruises on his body and a cut on his cheek from rough fights with the Knight of Hearts.
Tattoos: Tarrant's pale flesh is covered in tattoos. Well, not really, but if he continues getting this many tattoos, he'll be all inked up in just a few years. On his right arm, he sports a long, dark red snake that wraps around and around his forearm and bicep from his wrist to his shoulder. He has a large, ornate cross on the under arm of his left arm and he has the skull of a woman on his bicep. His legs sport a few small tattoos and he has a lot around his collarbones and more squished in between the ones on his arms. It has been said that Tarrant has an extremely large tattoo on his back and occasional glimpses have been seen of the edges. However, no one has actually seen it. Some say it's an image of a beach, some day it is of a painting, and even more say it has to be an image he saw while high.
Birthmarks: Tarrant has quite a few freckles on his face and arms.
Piercings: Tarrant has a piercing below his lip and above his chin, a nose ring, and countless piercings in his ears.
Role: The Mad Hatter
Club: Tea Club
Mental Disorder: Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder
Oddity: He also is a bit of a druggie but uses hallucinogenic drugs. One of his favorite things to get high off of is mercury but he's been cut off (which means his father's hidden all of the thermometers they own). He also has a large supply of other drugs, including acid.
Sexuality: Pansexual due to the fact that he doesn't matter what gender someone is, as long as they love him
Romantic Interest: Tarrant finds himself quite attracted to the new girl, Alice. But, then again, he's always been into the White Queen.
Nationality: Tarrant is British on both his mother and his father's side with some Irish on his mother's side. He possesses something between an Irish and a British accent
Job: Tarrant doesn't really have a job over summer break. He does some acting at the local theatre company, however, landing a majority of the lead male roles.
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Danger Level: The Hatter is so unstable that, based upon what kind of day he is having, his danger level varies. You could say he rests at about a four on most days.
Dominant Emotion: Tarrant is constantly in a bubbly, happy mood, except for when he has his "outbursts".
Personality: The students of Wonderland Academy can all agree that Tarrant is the most unstable of all of the students. He is most certainly one of the friendliest though and most likely approached Alice first when she first arrived at school. He seems to be a bit nosy, but that's only because he likes to know everything that is going on...and he likes to make sure no one talks about him behind his back. Though he is constantly loud and a bit hyper, when he is alone, Tarrant becomes a completely different person. As if he were bipolar, Tarrant becomes sadistic and melancholy. During these periods of sudden depression, he can become violent and unpredictable. To those he loves, he is a dedicated and passionate lover. He would put his girlfriend above everything else as long as they returned his love. He's a bit touchy-feely and likes hugging people. His favorite thign to do is hug people from behind and rest his head on top of theirs because of how tall he is. In social situations, he has little-to-no filter and does whatever the hell he wants. When those he loves are in danger, he becomes extremely protective. Tarrant was diagnosed with schizophrenia and, although he doesn't like talking about it, almost every student already knows how mentally unstable he is.
Special Skills/Abilities/Powers: Tarrant has quite a multitude of talents, although they aren't all that special. He can act and sing extremely well, singing as a baritone. He also dances a bit, thanks to the theatre company he has joined up with. He can knit, sow, and make hats, too. Tarrant is quite charismatic too and can talk some people out of most things. He also runs very fast, thanks to long, gangly legs.
Likes: Talking; tea, of course; being the center of attention; butterflies (for some reason, he enjoys their appearance); dancing; sunsets; his hat
Talents: Acting, singing, sowing, knitting, running, baking, playing the violin
Dislikes: Being alone; thinking about his past; being rejected; losing his high; math (math is absolutely horrible in Tarrant's eyes)
Flaws: Bipolar, unpredictable, nosy, loud
Weaknesses: Becomes moody when he's alone, he's physically weak, he puts his friends' and family's safety before his own, afraid of bees, afraid of losing his hat, afraid of snakes
Hobbies: Acting, dancing, sowing, making hats, baking, drinking tea, reading and writing poetry, playing the violin
Typical Attire: Tarrant has a very eccentric wardrobe full of colors and different styles. He dresses in a gothic sort of style (ex. suspenders, dress shirts, trousers, vests), but wears them in all different colors and patterns. Most of the time, his clothing doesn't really match but he always pulls it off.
Keepsakes: No one knows where exactly The Hatter got his hat. Rumors have been spread, of course, but he denies them all. The patched-up, tattered top hat holds a card reading "10/6" and he usually wears it a bit off-set on his head. Though teachers first frowned upon him wearing it, they soon learned that you simply can't ask The Hatter to part with the Hat. He becomes very protective of it.
History: Bio: Though he has a lot of friends, Tarrant is actually very secretive about his past. He doesn't like talking about it at all. Tarrant was born in the countryside to a prominent politician, George, and his wife, a hat maker named Judy. The young Tarrant was absolutely fascinated by his mother's work and loved watching a hat being made. He wore his first hat, a dark blue fedora, everywhere when it was made for his fourth birthday.
By the time he was five, Tarrant was a talkative child and enjoyed playing in the garden. Though it upset his father, who would have rathered Tarrant play sports, the boy loved holding tea parties, which his mother gladly took part in. He never told his mother, but he first tried mercury when he was eight, after his mother told him not to touch it. He knocked over a jar of his mother's glue which contained the silvery-white chemical, inhaling some of the fumes. Though he hardly affected him, he did feel a brief light-headedness which caused the young boy to instantly crave more. Each time, he'd get a bit gutsier, inhaling more and more fumes.
Tarrant didn't start showing signs of schizophrenia until he was ten. He had already shown signs of violence at school and was pulled out, forced to be homeschooled by his mother. After a very violent outburst of his at a party his father was hosting, Tarrant's parents finally took him to a psychiatrist who diagnosed the boy's disorder. His father began to shun the boy and even began to emotionally abuse him while his mother tried everything to keep her baby boy sane. With the emotional abuse of his father, Tarrant became extremely depressed and started cutting but not very deeply, just leaving long thing lines in beautiful patterns upon his flesh. His mother nearly fainted when she saw these and begged him to stop. To cover the scars from his father, Tarrant eventually got the cross tattooed on his forearm and then the snake a month later.
When he turned fifteen, Tarrant snuck out of his home. Without his medication and high, he was completely unstable. After committing a horrendous crime, he was sent to Wonderland Academy by his father saying it was for the best. In all honesty, he just wanted to be rid of the boy. Tarrant's mother died a year later on his sixteenth birthday. She was unable to experience life without her son so close.
Other: Tarrant has one major secret that he refuses to tell anyone. The only thing that can be deducted about it is that it's the reason he tenses when he hears police sirens.
