Weaknesses: Cant take complete jackasses, hates it when people fight, is easy to provoke if you threaten someone he cares about.
History: Jack was only 9 when the bombs fell. For the past year, he had seen the war affecting people. He saw the devastation on the news, but luckily for him he was in an area still untouched. That is, before the bombs.
Jack grew up in a loving household, to Kyle and Lily Tompson. He has one older brother, and two younger brothers as well as a baby sister. They were all very close and very supportive. However, when the bombs hit, they fled the city. They, and a bunch of their neighbors and friends, holed up in an old abandoned military base from the (20)30s. They found some cargo someone had missed in the basement, but it wasn't much. Only a few guns, a large supply of ammo, and MREs.
They quickly set up a farm for a steady supply of food, and raided local hospitals and clinics for as much medical equipment as they could get. They additionally collected the weapons of dead military soldiers so that they could use them against the creatures they saw. Monsters. BUt they had to survive more as well. The bombs screwed with the weather, creating things like Razor storms and snap freezes. It was tough, but they got through it.
Then a platoon of Republic soldiers raided the compound and took most of their people, killing the rest. Jack attacked the remainder of the platoon under the cover of darkness. He didn't get them all, but he freed some of his people and others. These people now look to him for leadership, as they try to move Northwest away from The Republic.
Mentality: Jack is a calm, caring person, but he can be very angry when people threaten those that he loves. He cares for the people he looks after with a passion, and will do everything possible to protect them. However, he realizes he has to let some people help, as he cant do this alone. No one can.
Equipment: G36 Assault Rifle with Scope and burst fire, and a Nexus Hand Cannon. He also has an Atmospheric Analyzer and a bag full of supplies, ammo, and water.

Fears: Losing a member of his group, and he fears the Zoids.
Oddities: He is allergic to Shellfish, and he doesn't know how to swim.
Other: He carries his father's old dogtags, as his father was in the army.
