PERSONALITY:
Tess is an extremely shy person when it comes to interacting with people outside of her small circle of friends. She is a genuine person in the way that she is always honest even if she doesn't really want to be. She is a perfectionist in the way she creates things. She will always finish something whether it was a book or a weapon, even if she doesn't really want to or is bored. Tess believes people can't change unless they want to, no matter how much pressure their loved ones put on them. She finds its easier to just pick up and move on to someone else rather than to keep trying for someone who treats her badly.

Little do people know, Tess would love to be in the front and be the center of attention, yet she doesn't think people would take it well. She looks at herself as someone who is always in the way and couldn't do anything useful, ever. She hates she seems to have nothing useful for a demigod and constantly wishes she was noticed though she doesn't want to put herself out in the open in order to be noticed. Tess doesn't like being forced into anything or when someone tries to convince her to do something she doesn't want to do. She is a stubborn girl who won't change her mind on anything or anyone unless someone she really trusts or truly cares for convinces her otherwise, or presents enough reason for her to change her mind.

Tess is usually animated around people she knows well but is often extremely quiet around people she doesn't know or she likes. If she likes someone, she doesn't really show it because she has the fear that she would be too obvious. However, if someone she likes treats her well and gives her attention, even if its just to say hello, she is entirely interested in them. So long as she is shown someone who is genuine, kind, and compassionate, she will be stuck on them.

When Tess is mad, or upset, she can be rather mean however. She will say whatever she can to get people to leave her alone and will not hesitate to confront someone who hurt her in some way. She gains a lot more confidence when she wants to challenge someone after they've wronged her or one of her friends, but she won't have nearly as much confidence after she's done, instead hating she brought such bad attention to herself considering she hopes to be liked by everyone instead.

In reality, Tess just wants to be noticed, and have someone to look out for her. She has the fear she will never find someone though refuses to admit her fear out loud. Tess thinks she wants to be in the center of attention when in reality, she just wants one person to really notice her and understand her entirely.

FAMILY::
Paige White || Tess's Mother || Tess and her mother had a very rocky relationship in the beginning. The two were always at odds and hated each other until Tess found her calling. When Tess found her passion to create and invent, Tess and her mother got along very well. The two were really mother and daughter and interacted as so. Though Tess's mother is still hardly ever around, the two are very good about interacting with each other after some time away.
RELATIONSHIP WITH GODLY PARENT:
Tess doesn't know her father at all. She doesn't want to try and think of him as she fears it will just make her feel very sad. She knows he watches her just because of the occasional gift he's given her, accurately getting her something she loved. The charm on her key chain of the Mach 5 was a gift from her father. She believes he wouldn't be so bad if he bothered to talk to her, or her siblings.

BIOGRAPHY:
Tess was born in Chicago, IL to a rich CEO mother. Tess's mother was always extremely busy and rarely had time for her daughter. Instead, Tess got in a lot of trouble wherever she went. She was often found with the wrong crowd at the wrong time and has taken the blame for multiple things even though she didn't want to. Tess was eventually sat down by her mother where her mother chewed her out for being such a bad child and demanding attention. Tess, extremely embarrassed, decided she would stop trying for attention. She began growing quiet and stopped talking altogether to certain people including her mother. Her mother, not impressed, again believed her daughter was craving attention and sent her home where she was to be home schooled from then on.

Tess found she wasn't really passing school when she did it at home, so her mother finally agreed to take her out when a disguised Hephaestus claimed Tess might find a niche at school. Hephaestus began teaching at the high school Tess was attending as the Auto Mechanic teacher. Tess excelled and fell in love with cars at the age of fifteen. Her mother began enjoying the ideas Tess was coming up with as Tess was producing designs for cars that could be made and sold for good prices. Tess's mother paid Tess for her work as much as she would pay anyone and allowed Tess to begin taking college courses considering she was excelling in all of her classes after finding she had something to enjoy.

Tess was out walking towards the apartment she shared with her mother when she witnessed a robbery occurring. When she saw it happen, the robber so her and attacked her. Tess woke up in the hospital with major injuries that left her in critical condition for a few days. She experienced head trauma that caused her memory to be rather poor yet she remembered everything to do with school. She had to heal because of the knife cuts she experienced yet she was okay in the end, allowing her to walk out of the hospital entrance with only a few scars and a little help from one of her closest friends. She didn't remember the face of her attacker, yet the police were led to believe the attacker believed she did as she was in the news. There was a great concern of her being recognized and hurt by the attacker again so her mother decided to send her away to the academy where she would be safe and learn how to protect herself.

FAVORITE POWER:
Intelligence and Inventing Abilities || Tess loves the fact that she can take care of her own cars (She has several even though she just got her licence a year ago) and loves that she invented all of them from scratch. She has always been able to build and take apart anything of a car she has ever wanted to and has even been gifted with the ability to work with any mechanics causing her to find she loves to work on inventing thins more and more.
Electricity & Flame Control || Tess would have been shocked multiple times to the point of possible severe death if it hadn't been for her abilities to conduct and control electricity. Her ability to control fire has also been useful when one of her relatives sets something on fire in a workshop by accident or something.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Face Claim || Annasophia Robb
Favorite Car || A Mach 5 Replica she built by using spare parts and taking apart a very, very expensive car
Geeky || Tess is totally a geek when it comes to cars. She has an extreme obsession with speed racer and carries around a keychain with his car on it as well.
Languages || Tess speaks French as well as English fluently and is working on Latin. However she can fluently read French, English, and Latin.

So begins...

Upon blinking away the sleep from her eyes, clearing the thick, hazy blur that seemed to pollute her vision, Marilyn was met by the startling contrast of a billowy mass of raven locks against the cream hue of her pale pillow. The spilling, swirling strands had somehow gotten threaded between her slender fingers, which, in turn, were wrapped around the sleek rectangular shape of her phone, the screen blinking in indication that the playlist she had chosen to fall asleep to the night before had come to an end. Marilyn could still hear the bewitching melodies of soft jazz humming in her ears as she groggily propped herself up and plucked the earbuds out of her ears. As Marilyn’s phone whumped against the intricate pattern of a blanket that was unlike the one she had at her home in Arizona, it only served to remind her where she was; she was back at the Academy for another year and Marilyn was filled with the same sense of excitement which had been building for weeks until her arrival last night.

Though the way the light filtered through Marilyn’s windows indicated that it was still early morning, Marilyn, being both the daughter of the sun God and simply a morning person, paid no mind and set about to begin her day. The tasks she completed were menial and ordinary- she made her bed, unpacked the last articles of clothing from her suitcase, and got distracted with her guitar for a few minutes, plucking out a simple, upbeat tune- but her body was thrumming and buzzing with eagerness and anticipation for the day.

She didn’t even try to stop the animated smile from appearing on her face while stretching out into a few basic yoga poses on the bright orange mat laid out on the hardwood flooring, despite it probably looking kind of creepy. Being back just filled her with a feeling of belonging that she admittedly didn’t have at home and she wanted to be back with mingling with her demi-god friends and learning more about her powers. Aeonis was her home away from home, but it made her feel more comfortable than she ever was in her own house on the reserve.

After making herself presentable, dressing in a sheer, dark navy patterned top paired with black skinnies and fixing up her hair and makeup, Marilyn reached for the phone that she had abandoned on her bed. She had people to reach out to, after all!

[From: Mandy ♥]
[Guess who's back, besides all the other people that aren't me? ;P Such a difficult question, I know, even I can't get it xD x]

Marilyn beamed at the other girl’s cute message, shooting her a quick reply amongst some others.

[To: Mandy ♥]
[Who ever could you possibly be talking about? Perhaps a certain redhead?? lol I’m about to head out. Will I see you at breakfast? :D]

[ To: The Grumpy Scotsman >:( ]
[Good morning, Scottie! I hope you had a good summer! I don’t know if I’ll see you at breakfast, but I’ll catch up with you sometime :) ]

[To: TESS! ]
[Psst, are you awake? Because we should get some breakfast! I’m hungrrryyy! xD]

Sending out the last of her texts, Marilyn slung her bag over her shoulder and exited the room into the commons area of her dorm. Quietly, she crept up towards Kiren’s, who Mari didn’t know if she was still in there, door and rapped on the wood. “You up in there?” She called.

The words were muffled at first, muted in that kind of way that is reminiscent of holding your head underwater, and they seemed miles away from Hugo’s sleep-induced mind. They were nothing but a distant murmur, an unintelligible rumbling of an unidentifiable source. Perhaps, at the back of Hugo’s mind, he had the capability to know what this source was, but at the current point in time, he was content to slip back into a deeper slumber and not have to worry about it. Only, the noises continued. The noises continued and they were getting louder and all the more clear, much to the sleeping boy’s disdain.

The next thing he gained was the ability to realize that the same someone who was making all of the noise was also shaking at his bed. First, there was a large quake and then, for some god awful reason, this initial quake seemed to have set off a succession of smaller, more rapid quakes that had Hugo’s body following along with the movements. Hugo could feel his own mind slowly rouse from the murky depths of sleep, but it was the familiar, poorly accented, feminine voice exclaiming dramatically, "Mi marido me dejó!" that had Hugo coming to a slight comprehensibility.

Sweet, sweet Priya. Why must you awaken him so?

Priya Aiken was not only one of his best friends, but the closest thing to a sister that a person could be without actually being related by blood. From the moment they met, they simply just ‘clicked’. The British girl with a brilliant mind and penchant for his kind of humour, had laughed at all of his silly jokes and quips, even tossing a witty line or two herself. What was to be a moment of playful banter between two connoisseurs of comedy had grown into something so much more, evolving and developing into the wonderful, amazing thing they had today. With Nessa, Hugo’s sister (on their father’s side, of course), Hugo, and Priya combining forces, they were unstoppable.

After Priya threatened to jump on his bed, Hugo simply just groaned, attempting to burrow his way back into his covers. “Priya,” He croaked, his throat raspy and thick from disuse, “Go away.” But Hugo can feel her perched at the corner of his mattress, the surface dipping from her weight.

Perhaps Hypnos will take pity on him for once and allow Hugo to fall back into a deep slumber without Priya pestering him. Hell, Perhaps Priya will take pity on him for once and allow Hugo to go back to bed.

No es de extrañar que tu marido te dejó .” Hugo grumbled, pulling his dark blue covers over his bare torso and over his head and squeezing his eyes tightly shut.

Tess had stayed up late. Really late. As in ten o'clock late. She had finished the project she had been working on, smiling down at the results proudly before passing out as she tried to finish drawing blueprints for the machine in case someone else wanted to make it eventually. It was a tiny little firefly that lit up and acted as a nightlight. It actually flew around and everything too!

Tess already had a couple others ready, just waiting for the time to screw in the light bulb. She had done so, allowing the fireflies to take flight in her room before her exhaustion overcame her. She woke in the morning to a text, and a crick in her neck. She rolled it out as she sat up, yawning and wiping at her eyes before grabbing for her phone and seeing who texted.

Marilyn had texted her and Tess smiled. She considered what to write back, realizing she wasn't very good at texting whatsoever. She thought a moment as she dressed, putting on a pair of black shorts that had high waist, like a sailor, along with a light blue and white striped shirt. Her little boots were black and had little flowers on the inside though those weren't available to the eye of people. She grabbed a hat, one that was straw and had a black ribbon on it to keep the sun from her eyes as she went about her day. Finally, deciding what would be the best response, Tess texted Marilyn back.

[To: Marilyn]
Yeah, I'll be downstairs in a few. Food! :)

As soon as Tess sent it she sighed, hating the message. She was so stupid sometimes. Suddenly however, she was feeling rather brave. She took a deep breath, sitting on her bed and sending out a text that sent her heart racing.

[To: Hugo <3]
Hey, going to eat food, wanna come with?

Tess was mortified as she set her phone down. What was she doing? Why was she doing that? Why was she so stupid? Why would Hugo think anything of her being more than a softspoken girl who was a little too small and a little too masculine. Not many guys liked a chick that could fix a car while they couldn't. Not many guys liked a girl who actually knew how to build a car from scratch when they couldn't.

Tess walked into her bathroom to brush her teeth, even adding a little mascara since her friends had been insisting she wear a little makeup for whatever reason. Tess then left, going to her little kitchen where she grabbed a small cup and began making coffee. She needed coffee. She really needed coffee. It was one of the Hephaestus children's favorite thing in the world. Coffee. It kept them up all night and allowed them to work on many projects and get things done when things might not otherwise get done.

Tess walked downstairs, nursing her little cup of coffee that she had put into a to go cup, not wanting to risk waking Otter from the noise she might make otherwise since she could be clumsy sometimes. Tess hunched her shoulders slightly as she walked, as if protecting her coffee. She caught sight of Lucca D'Antonio as he jogged towards her since she was now on the bottom floor of the dormitory. He made sure to slow himself in order to see her.

"Hey Tess, so, have you texted him yet?" Lucca asked as he moved to take Tess's phone from her pocket though she pulled away from him causing him to pout slightly. "Tessa, you must talk to a boy in order to get him to talk back to you," Lucca said gently in an encouraging way. She sighed and he smiled at her, giving her encouragement.

"I texted him but it was stupid," Tess sighed as she looked into her coffee. Lucca smiled at her, rubbing her back gently like an older brother. She smiled up at him as he said, "Just keep trying, and don't forget I'm here for you Tess."

Lucca gave her a little hug, then jogged off to wherever he was going. Tess smiled after him before moving to wait for Marilyn, wanting to check her phone every moment as she waited for a response from Hugo at the same time.

Lucca had woken early, wanting to feel the morning air on his face and see the sun rise above the hills in the distance. He had gone outside to a little patio area the dormitories had and sat on one of the cushioned, outdoor couches that was really comfortable, savoring the crisp morning air and the beautiful sunrise. His thoughts drifting and going wherever they so chose to at the moment.

It was a little chilly so he had worn some blue jeans, boat shoes his uncle had bought him, and an old, soft sweatshirt he had picked out when he and his uncle had gone to a thrift shop a few years ago. Lucca didn't realize how out of it he was until he saw people coming out and moving about. Time had flown and now his peace and quiet was going to turn to loudness and friends and happiness and drama and everything high school for demigods included, offered, and entailed.

Lucca received a text and looked down with a frown that wasn't because he was sad, but because he made that face, maybe it was called a scowl... He wasn't sure, but it was a funny face he made. His heart raced as he saw a text from Juliette, smiling broadly at it. How ironic his mother would make his heart twist for a girl named Juliette.

[To: Jules]
Yo! I'll be there in five.

Lucca smiled like a dope as he tossed his old flip phone in his pocket and jogged towards Juliette's dorm. As he entered the building, he caught sight of Tessa. He was friends with Tess and hugo and wanted to help get them together since he knew they liked each other. Though both knew he knew, both didn't know that the other like the other. It was complicated. But they trusted Lucca, for the most part that was. He was working on it and he would get them together, soon, or someday. Something like that.

He paused a moment, giving Tess a word of encouragement and a pat on the back like a big brother before moving off again, wanting to find Juliette. He walked up, glad to see the door to the dorm of Juliette and Izzy open. He knocked on the door as he leaned on the door frame, giving Juliette a smile from where he was.

"Je te l'ai juré équitable, et de la pensée te lumineux," Lucca stated, his voice musical and the words in French as he didn't bother translating, just looking at Juliette. He liked quoting Shakespeare, mostly because he was sweat, and then he could say it in French and Juliette wouldn't know he was complimenting her so often, or talking to her of love or something along those lines.

"How are you Jules? Have a wonderful summer?" Lucca asked as he moved to sit beside her on the counter. So long as the door was open, they'd be fine. And though Lucca was okay with breaking a few rules here and there, he knew he had to be picky about what rules he did break, otherwise, he would be watched too closely and then he would end up getting caught or not being able to break any rules ever.

He couldn't help but feel electricity running through him even though he wasn't a son of Zeus. He wanted to hug Jules, but didn't dare. He wasn't sure what she thought of him. Wasn't sure if she felt towards him the way he felt towards her. He could pick up on other people's love interested yet when it came to his own, he was clueless. He wanted to hug her really badly, really, he wanted to kiss her, but he would not kiss her when he was so unsure about what she felt.

He knew she dated his half brother, and feared the only reason she hung with him was because he was a rebound guy, though he was pretty certain that wasn't the case, which was why he had allowed himself to fall head over heels, or shoes, for the daughter of Apollo beside him.

He only then realized Izzy was there and felt bad instantly though he gave a smile in exchange for panic. "Sheila, my aussie friend! How was the east coast wise woman?" Lucca gave her a smile that some would consider flirty while it was honestly him just being friendly. It was charming. Like any Aphrodite child was. His accet could change from anything that was a love language or Australia. It was very clear that he wasn't from the United States though, where a lot of people he knew were from.

Otter promptly awoke to the most annoying tone she had been able to find on her cell phone. It had to be the aggravating one that made her teeth clench so that she would be forced to awaken to silence it as soon as possible. She always had it set across the room from her so she would have to get out of bed to shut off her alarm. If she had it laying next to her pillow it would be easier to turn it off and go back to a peaceful slumber.
The slim girl stretched and whisked into the kitchen to find an already made pot of coffee for her and Tess. She was grateful that Tess liked coffee as much as her and made herself a cup. She figured that her dorm mate had already started her day. She was an even earlier riser than herself sometimes. After finishing her cup she set it on the counter, then she strode to her bathroom to continue in her morning ritual. She turned on the shower and let it warm up as she relieved herself of her clothing.
After cleaning her body and hair, she stepped out and wrapped her hair up in a towel and used another to dry her body off with.
She picked out an outfit and pulled on her new gloves her dad had given her before she had left him to come back for her third year at the school.
Image"It'll keep them away from you." He had said, handing her a small, poorly wrapped box with purple ribbon surrounding it.
Otter had smiled, clasping the gift in her hand and threw her arms around her dad. The older man chuckled and pat her back.
"No worries, pumpkin. Maybe I'll surprise you and come up for a weekend to visit." Blaze promised. Otter giggled and pulled off the ribbon and tore off the wrapping paper to find a small white box with a clear see-through lid revealing the gloves.
"Daddy...aren't these a little er...expletive?" Blaze chuckled and waved it off.
"Aww, it's not a big deal. I called your headmaster and cleared it up with him." Otter wasn't sure if these were going to be allowed, even if he truly did speak to the headmaster. She didn't want to get in trouble, but she didn't want to be rude to her father and disown her new present.
She peered down now at the gloves that read 'fuck off'. Maybe they won't touch me because of them.
She came back into the open area that the two girls shared and began cooking breakfast. She made scrambled eggs and sausage and warmed up tortillas to make breakfast tacos. She fed herself while drinking coffee
She went back into her own room and tapped on the roomy cage that was placed near the window in front of her bed.
"Psst. Hey, wake up Diaval. Are you ready for the first day?" The raven opened it's eyes and obediently started preening his feathers. Otter opened up the cage door.
"Oi, you're beautiful enough as is." She smiled and slipped her hand inside and the bird climbed onto her fingers. She set him down on her shoulder and he cawed in response.
"I know. I'm excited too."
Just before Otter was ready to walk out the door she heard Aiden speak into her mind as if he were right next to her.
"Yep, I'm headed out the door." She said back to him in her mind.
She smiled, ready to take on the day.

Location: Belladonna's Dorm
Dialogue: #981818

Each time Belladonna's alarm clock screamed in his ear Landon groaned uneasily and would either put his arm around her waist or turn over disgruntled. By the third one, it had woken her up finally. She shoved him and he did a kind of roll. He mumbled something into their shared pillows and continue to lay in bed.
When he heard the shower turn on his head perked off of the pillow. He wanted a shower too. As soon as she was done he eased past her glistening naked body, hardly glancing at it, he'd seen it so often, and stripped off his own clothes.
They stayed at each others' dorms quite often so this was no unusual occurrence for them.
He showered and stepped out, drying himself off with a towel. He went to the closet - they were close enough that some of her stuff was at his place too - and pulled out a couple of pieces of apparel and pulled the beanie on that he'd had on before.
"Yes, I'm ready. Why do you like Orientation Day so much? It's only good for a slack off day. We don't actually do anything in class except learn what we're going to learn. It's pointless. We gotta fit a cigarette in before we head in, though." He looked towards his half sister. He couldn't really explain what kind of relationship they had exactly, whether they were party mates, sleepover pals, best friends, or another hookup it was probably a mix of all four. He never wanted that relationship faltered, either. Or there would be hell to pay.

The sight, as odd as it was, was a welcome one, almost all-too-natural in Marilyn's eyes; There Kiren Vause, roommate and potion making extraordinaire, stood in her pajamas- socks on and a pair of mint green headphones brushing against her collarbone. The safety goggles she wore dwarfed her features, though they didn't take away from her beauty and she looked as wonderful as usual. The expressiveness of her eyes reflected a sort of brightness this morning and Marilyn was sure that Kiren had been dancing about her room at some time in the morning. Marilyn had caught Kiren doing so on quite a few occasions, Kiren's head bobbing and her hips moving from a beat that resounded from her headphones. The Navajo girl would either slip away from the scene giggling or even join in with Kiren, her own hips moving in with the muted tune. Marilyn missed this; she missed Kiren.

"It's almost as if you hadn't been gone at all. I feel like the last time I saw you, you were brewing something up," Marilyn teased good-naturedly, a fond smile growing across her face as she followed Kiren's rapid footsteps to the small kitchen they both shared. It had all of the basics: a rounded counter top on one end with a sink in the center of it and small stove area just across from it that was adjacent to the tall fridge. The one thing that was truly a sight to behold in their kitchen, however, were the spice racks. Perhaps a few of the clear jars were filled with the regular spices - dried basil, cumin, sweet chilli powder - but the others contained an out of the ordinary array of dried wildflowers, edible weeds, and diced unknowns. What else would you expect from one child of Hecate and a girl of Native American heritage with a background in herbal medicine?

As Kiren took refuge in her bedroom and got dressed, Marilyn peeked in the pot. Lifting the lid cautiously, she peeked inside to see a concoction that looked innocent enough and the pleasant scent of pomegranate and cinnamon wafted towards her. "I'll take your word for it this time. It smells great!" Marilyn called out, regarding Kiren's statement about the possible bitterness. Let Marilyn tell you that being the first in line guinea pig for some of Kiren's sour and bitter potions for 'strength' or 'better skin' is not always the greatest. Still, Marilyn tried them. Most of them worked quite well in the end. "Sure, why not!" Marilyn said surely, pulling a sea-foam green mug out of the cupboard and tipping it in Kiren's direction.

Suddenly, the thought popping into her head, Marilyn recalled the gifts she brought back from her reserve to give out to her friends. Excitedly, she places the mug back onto the counter, "But first I have something for you!" Without waiting for Kiren's reply, Marilyn dashes into her bedroom and grabs a small black baggy made of velvet fabric and returns back to her original position. The contents of the bag clattered as she searched, eventually pulling out the bracelet that she had picked out for Kiren. She pushed the bangle into Kiren's hand as she spoke, "A woman on my reserve collects wildflowers and turns them into jewelry- I thought you'd like this one." Marilyn couldn't help the way her lips curled at the corners of her mouth in anticipation. "They're real flowers in there! I thought they so pretty, so I bought a couple for friends!"

The soft vibrations of her phone in her hand pulled Marilyn's attention away from Kiren for a split second.

[From Mandy♥]
[YOU'VE REPLACED ME WITH ANOTHER REDHEAD! :O How dare ye?! What about all the banter and craic we have? Did it mean nothing?! Well you can forget your present!
P.S. I may be a bit late to breakfast, gonna catch up with Jensen and then come down :3 x]

Marilyn could barely suppress her giggle when Amanda's distinct Northern Irish accent came to mind as Marilyn read the message. Marilyn loved the girl to bits and pieces- weirdness and all.

[To Mandy♥]
[ WELL FINE! PERHAPS MY NEW REDHEADED FRIEND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE PRESENT I WAS SUPPOSED TO GIVE TO YOU >:( I'm kidding, you're the only redhead for me <3 Come find me after your visit :) ]

[From TESS!]
[ Yeah, I'll be downstairs in a few. Food! :) ]

[To TESS!]
[I'll meet you half way and we can head over there together! :D]

Placing her phone back into her pocket, Marilyn's attentions turned back to Kiren and she motioned to her mug for some of the concoction. "I'm going to meet up with Tess and Amanda after this myself. Grab some breakfast before orientation!"

Nessa's eyebrows shot up at Lake's insistence for more details. She took in a long breath, her eyes sliding off to the side.

"Oh jeez," she laughed, placing her hands on her hips. Nessa looked over at one of the empty tables in the mess hand and gently pulled Lake over to the chairs by him arm.

"Let's sit down for this," she laughed, and as soon as she was sitting, any shame concerning the pranks fell away and Nessa's eyes began to burn with a passionate fire that always seemed to spark whenever she was telling a story.

"It was like, two weeks after I got back home and Brent comes in and tells me that these assholes next door, just a couple of high school idiots, are just harassing him and his friends, stealing their money and junk like that. I told him to try and fight his own battle and stand up for himself, but then he comes in with a bloody nose and I know that this is just going to shit, so I agree to help him out with his little squabble. I walked into the kitchen and grab all of the eggs we have and my slingshot and I take Brent up with me to the roof of out house and I got a good number of headshots in there and it was hilarious because they had no clue where this onslaught was coming from, but that was the first cop call. They had no proof and we weren't anywhere to be found so things were peachy. About a week passed with no incidents and I was getting bored, so I went out with a twenty dollar bill, cloned it a few times and paid those bullies to give me a prank war that would challenge me. I have to say, it went really well. The second cop call was from one of the neighbors because our homemade pineapple cannon was 'too loud' at three in the morning. The last cop call was me officially getting back at them, I texted Tessa and she helped me trash their little 1974 Dodge Dart and infest it with dozens of frogs Brent helped me raise from tadpoles. Again, I didn't get caught. You may now applause," Nessa explained eloquently, trying not to brag too heavily. When it came to her pranks, each one was a work of art and it was kind of easy to feel too proud of them. She flashed Lake a bright smile, leaning back in her chair and crossing her arms. Lake definitely knew how to

Cory waited until Danny was finally finished complaining about his wake-up call, which was quite a while as he would come up with something new to add every few minutes or so.

"I do hope you realize you now have to make my bed for me tonight," Dan had grumbled, an order that was met with a rather over dramatic roll of the eyes from Cory. He shook his head at his blonde roommate. At least Dan promptly heeded the sound of his own stomach and was ready to leave within minutes.

"Come on buddy, plenty of girls to meet and plenty of people to talk to," Daniel pressed, earning a glance from Cory who headed back into his room to grab a red zipper hoodie with white strings. He threw it on, and winked at himself in the mirror before following Dan out into the hall, the thought of all the food he was about to eat, putting a rather goofy grin on his handsome face. He was snapped out of his reverie when Dan rammed into a girl behind him. It took Cory a second of way obvious staring to remember who she was. Her name was Otter, like the animal, and Dan had a clear crush on her. He narrowed his eyes at the two, a long smirk on his lips.

"Ah, I'm gonna go ahead, Danny Boy, perhaps you two would like to eat together," he suggested civilly before nudging Daniel a little roughly before murmuring quietly so no one else but him could hear his next comment.

"Or perhaps you'd like to eat each other. Catch ya later, Hot Shot," he joked, winking at Dan and chuckling at his own crude joke before moving along down the hallway, acting as innocent as a newborn baby. The walk to the cafeteria was an uneventful one for Cory, but he was so caught up in his own world where he was the sparkling center to notice.

"Lookin' like a king with a hoodie on," he sang to himself, shoving his hands into his pockets and doing a bit of a walking dance, "I can still turn heads with what I put on."

If there was anything Cory was mostly known and admired for was his ability to do whatever he wanted and not give a shit and a half what other people thought. Therefore, he did a lot of peculiar things, expecting not to be questioned about it. That can cause anyone problems. He swung open the door of the cafeteria and strode in like he owned the whole campus. The goofy smile on his face was still evident, and it grew when he saw the line of trays and food on the far side of the room. He quickly walked over and piled his tray with more food than could seem to possibly fit in his lean body, then turned to look out at the sea of people at their little table islands. He began to walk out into the mass, looking along the edges of the room for an emptier seat before his eyes fell and locked on a particular blonde. It only took a second for her to feel his eyes on her and she turned to look up. It took Nessa less than a nano second to go from "Why what a glorious morning!" to "Bitch, I will cut you". She immediately looked away, a foul, glowering look on her face.

"Fuck me," she hissed under her breath. It was all she had the time to say before Cory slammed his tray down across from the two.

"Hey, Nessa! Missed you and your bitchiness over the summer!" Cory exclaimed loudly, feigning delight. Nessa rolled her blue eyes, and avoided looking at him.

"Hello, Cornelius," she replied stonily, sinking lower in her seat.

"Ya know, you can call me Cory," he answered like always, even though they both knew she would never be so friendly. A chilly silence passed as the two stared each other down from across the table.

"Ya know, Nessie, you might even be a little pretty if you dressed like you cared," he told her, batting his long lashes at her. She gave him a scrutinizing glare.

"Like you should talk," she spat back. Cory raised a single eyebrow at her, grabbing either side of his hoodie, flicking his wrist so that the hood snapped up over his head.

"I'm looking like a king with my hoodie on," he told her proudly.

"The King of Breakfast Foods maybe, I don't understand how you can stand to eat so much," she told him, a disgusted tone in her voice. Cory made a point of shoving five grapes in his mouth before he answered.

"Well, since you asked, I'm 90% stomach," he answered around his grapes. Nessa turned to look at Lake, her eyebrows shot up in fake surprise.

"There we go! That would explain your lack of brains," she retorted sharply before getting up from her seat and heading towards the food line. Cory swallowed his grapes and grinned as wide as he could at Nessa's retreating form.

It was at this point did he acknowledge Lake's presence.

"That was a good one, she had a good one. How are ya doin', Lake?" he grinned at the boy, seemingly pretty proud of himself.

Along with lunch and dinner, breakfast was Hugo’s favorite meal of the day; though, in the good company of one of his best friends, it was made all the more enjoyable. Hugo spent his time lazily picking at a stack of fluffy, buttery pancakes made sticky with a heavy fixing of maple syrup and he was once again reminded of the Academy’s top notch cuisine as he savored the pleasant flavors and textures. Familiar faces began to steadily stream into the cafeteria, hungry demi-gods seemingly on the prowl for a satisfying meal to start off their day. A few people said their good mornings and hellos to himself and Priya and even if the two struggled to recall their names, they still returned the sentiments.

Hugo had been in the middle of telling Priya how his mother’s rich, doting boyfriend by the name Christopher had attempted to win Hugo’s favor by taking him to a championship soccer game over the summer, when his phone, which was located to the right of his plate, had vibrated noisily against the tabletop. Abandoning both his story and his cutlery, he reached for the device and Taj scrambled to move away from his position perched atop it.

[From Unknown]
[ Hey, going to eat food, wanna come with? ]

Hugo felt his eyebrows come together, scrunching in confusion, and his lips became pursed in intrigue. The phone number was foreign to him, he decided. Quickly cutting into his pancake and popping a piece into his mouth, he chewed leisurely as he sent a reply. His elbows rested against the table.

[To Unknown]
[ lol, sorry. Who is this? ]

Pree,” Hugo questioned around the food in his mouth, “Do you know who this number belongs to?” He set his phone on the table, sliding it towards her.

Priya glanced across at the phone, picking up her toast with one hand and taking a bite while the other hand pulled the offered mobile closer for inspection. Her eyes scanned the number, and it only took a second to recognise the digits of her half-sibling, Tessa. Biting back a very unwomanly snort of laughter, Priya had to quickly gulp down her mouthful of bread and jam before she could properly answer.

Hugo’s little crush was well known to her, just as she was sure that her half-sister had more than a few romantic feelings for her pseudo-brother. Personally, she couldn’t see the appeal. Sure, Hugo has handsome enough, athletic and fit with defined muscles and abs, while dark, caramel curls frame a usually playful, smiling face, and ducky chocolate eyes seemed to sparkle with some mischievous plan. Priya supposed eyes were always good.

But Hugo was also a frustrating fool who frequently pretended gravity was failing in order to squash Priya to the ground, or wouldn’t stop teasing for getting a milk moustache one time. In short, he was just as much a brother to her as her own step-brother, and it was this bond that probably stopped her seeing him in all his resplendent glory. A fact that Priya could only think a hasty “Thank you Gods” to before responding to Hugo.

“That’s Tess’s number.” She told him, quickly putting down her piece of half-eaten toast so that she might hold his phone with two hands. Her thumbs make quick work of sliding up the messages already sent, and though she sees nothing juicy to use as ammunition, there’s still no reason not to tease Hugo, “’Lol, sorry. Who is this?” Priya reads, arching an eyebrow at her close friend, “Do you want to stay single forever?”

One moment the contents in his mouth were a harmonious combination of spongey breakfast confectionary and maple-flavored liquid ambrosia and the next they were a thick, heavy mass that stuck to the insides of his throat. Unable to control his reaction to the sudden tickle in his throat, Hugo began to cough uncontrollably. He tried to save Priya from the impending spray of masticated pancake by placing his curled fist in front of his mouth and turning away to face the opposite direction. At that moment, it was just a mess of Hugo trying to cough and swallow back his pancake. Priya’s whiskey colored eyes twinkled with teasing recognition and Hugo sent a glare in her direction, though it probably looks pathetic during his bout of coughs.

Tessa White is a fellow demi-god at Aeonis- seventeen years old and a junior, just as Hugo is, and a half-sister to Priya as the daughter of Hephaestus. Now, Hugo doesn’t recall the exact moment in which he saw her, only that he began to see her all the time. She often lingered in corner of his eye, standing there in the back silently observing the area around her and almost fading into the shadows. Hugo didn’t know how people could just disregard someone like Tessa, despite the shyness she possessed, because as someone who’s been around quite a few beauties in his time, Tessa is something else. She has long, golden blonde hair that comes to frame a heart shaped face. In turn, the face houses a cute button nose, big wondrous baby blue eyes, and petal-soft looking lips that are always turned upwards at the corners in a sweet smile. She just has this aura about her, one that’s dazzling, alluring, and charming all at the same time. It has Hugo gravitating towards her, wanting to get to know her, but although he retained the status as a shameless flirt, there was something about Tessa that just stopped him in his tracks.

How does she even have my number?” Hugo asked, voice rough after he managed to stop coughing. He turned to her with his eyes narrowing and cheeks warming, “Was it you, you traitor? My goal is to actually get her to like me you know- wooing a woman is an art form that takes time and preparation.” So what if Hugo’s spent more than the required amount of time trying to gather enough courage to talk with her. However, Priya looked too innocent at that moment to have been the one who gave Tessa his number. He sighed, a less-than-manly pout forming on his face as he grabbed back his phone. “She probably just got the wrong number.

There was a part of Priya that wanted to laugh at Hugo’s reaction, a large, dominant part that desired nothing more than to burst into laughter as he spluttered in his shock. Fortunately for Hugo, Priya had recently taken another bite of her breakfast and in order to maintain some semblance of dignity, and not spray the table with bits of half eaten toast, held the teasing laughter in. She made do with a devilish gleam in her eyes and a growing smirk as she swallowed her food.

“I didn’t give her your number, but I want to shake the hand of whoever did. Honestly Hugo, you actually have to talk to someone for there to be any chance of getting to know them.” While the advice was definitely sound – even if it was given in a rather teasing manner – it was probably a bit rich coming from Priya Aiken, who was known to fumble over her own words when speaking to the object of her own affections. Still, it was far easier to offer advice regarding other people’s love lives and she was very much invested in the idea of Tessa and Hugo getting together.

“Who’s to say it wasn’t the wrong number?” She offered, biting back another laugh at Hugo’s pitiful pout, “Why don’t you send her another text and ask? Or better yet just ask her out?”

Easier said than done,” Hugo thought bitterly. He refrained from saying mentioning anything about Priya’s lack of communication, though still more than what he has with Tessa, with her own point of interest: Cornelius Abbot. In all honesty, the guy is a complete and utter prick. He has been nothing short of an ass towards Nessa and he’s not exactly all sunshine and rainbows towards Hugo. Weren’t the kids of Apollo supposed to be the nice, happy ones? Hugo would much rather Priya didn’t have any contact with the man at all, let alone date him.

Just as Hugo was about to formulate a response to Tessa – speak of the devil – Hugo looked up to see not only Cory, but his sister Nessa and her boyfriend Lake, as well. Hugo couldn’t hear what they were saying from his distance, but just by looking at Cory, his body language cocky and stupid-looking, he knew that he was already harassing Nessa. “Pree, I think we should go say hi to Nessa.” Hugo hissed, his voice sounding distant, “It’s been all summer since we’ve seen her.

For all that Hugo was a known flirt and usually had enough confidence to woo with the most intimidating of girls, his inability to speak with Tessa was slightly perplexing to Priya. Yet, all thoughts of Hugo’s romances were pushed out of her mind the moment she followed his gaze. Nessa was walking towards the food line, her familiar head of blonde hair bringing a smile to Priya’s face. Nessa had been as good as a sister to Priya ever since they’d be put in the same dorm their first year of Aeonis. Seeing her was like completing the circle. Of course, these thoughts were also pushed from her mind as her gaze came to fall on the figure from which her dorm mate was fleeing – Cornelius Abbot. Cory doesn’t receive a smile, but rather a blush as Priya watches him grinning at Lachlan.

“Yes, let’s go say hi.” Priya agrees, nodding to emphasis her point. Though, while she sincerely means to say hi to Nessa, her gaze is still fixed on Cornelius Abbot and her smile seems to widen the longer she watches him. While Nessa and Hugo may think her crush ridiculous, Priya refuses to listen. She could list a million and one reasons why Cornelius is the epitome of what a young man should be. He’s funny, witty, smart, and that carefree smile always has Priya lost for words. “Then we can go chat with Lachlan.” Priya adds, cutting her gaze back to Hugo and putting on her best innocent smile. Priya isn’t particularly close to Lachlan and it’s probably more than clear why she wishes to join the table so recently exited by Nessa.

Hugo bites his tongue as he watches Priya get all dopey eyed in Cory direction, but instead of saying anything, he just grabs her by the sleeve of her shirt and leads her over to where Nessa is collecting her breakfast. The fizz of annoyance in his stomach begins to lessen at the sight of his adorable, goofy sister- one of which he hasn’t seen in ages. As silently as he can, Hugo lets go of Priya’s sleeve and creeps up behind the blonde. At the same time as he places a hand on Nessa’s shoulder, he quipped a low “Boo!” into her ear.

Tess managed to smile down at her phone as she saw Marilyn text her back. She stood outside her dormitory, waiting for Marilyn to join her as she stood there. She reached into her pocket to grab a couple screws and gears and other things to begin fiddling with.

A moment or so ater, Tess got a text back. She accidentally dropped a few gears and sighed before slipping the project in her pocket and reaching for her phone, grumbling slightly. Who was texting her? When she looked at who it was from, she died. Not literally, but if she was asked, she had gone to Hades and come back.

Hugo had texted her. Had he text her? Really? What had he said? Did Lucca give him her number like Lucca had given her his number? Had he really done it? Would Tess even be able to read the text? What if he said he hated her?

Tess finally stole a glance and saw what Hugo responded with. She died all over again. Lucca hadn't given him her number. He thought she was a stalker. Why had she texted him? Maybe he was just pretending not to know her. Maybe Lucca had given her the wrong number... She covered her face, managing to look down at the phone again to make sure she hadn't just had a nightmare. It was still there. She was dead.

She managed to gain enough confidence and dignity to text Lucca.

[To: Lucca]
You jerk. I just embarrassed myself to death. Don't make me talk to boys by myself, I say all the wrong things.

Tess knew it was kind of over dramatic, but she didn't care. She wanted to go hide. She sighed, resigning herself to admitting he probably just wasn't interested and was trying to let her down easily since he was bound to know. How could cute guys not know when a girl, however different or strange they might be, like them? They could basically read minds from all Tessa could tell.

A moment later, Tess received a text back from Lucca.

[From: Lucca]
Tess, calm down. You aren't dead yet. Just go say hi to him.

Tess looked at her phone horrified at the idea. How could she go talk to him? She was too scared to go talk to her friends who were popular much less Hugo Rojas.

[To: Lucca]
It's not gonna happen Lucca. He probably isn't even interested.

Tess sighed, deciding she'd just skip breakfast. She didn't want to face him. Her stomach grumbled but Tessa scowled down at it. She sighed before texting Marilyn.

[To: Marilyn]
I think I'm just gonna go work in the shop. Not really hungry.

Tess felt her shoulders slump as she tucked her phone back into her pocket before heading towards a workshop for the Hephaestus kids. It was also occasionally used by the powers control class since Hephaestus kids did need to control their building and designing abilities.

Tess went to her table, clean without a screw out of place. She pulled the little automaton closer to her and began working on the back of the head. The little machine was a human, the face modeled after Aphrodite in one of her forms in hopes the goddess would then want to bless Tess's love life, or just make Tess more confident to talk to those in her love life.

She felt bad for abandoning Marilyn for breakfast, but she wasn't up to seeing people that had boyfriends and girlfriends. Besides, she'd probably end up sitting by herself or just tinkering instead of eating anyway. At least she could keep working on the project she hadn't been able to finish the year before before summer came around.

She sighed before realizing it was probably not a cool thing to do. She was hungry. Tessa groaned at her indecision. Standing, she left her dirty worktable and left for the cafeteria. She saw her weapons teacher sitting by himself with his wolf pup Cody and gave him a wave which he returned.

Tess moved to grab a carton of orange juice along with a piece of toast before going to sit at an empty table, as she searched for Marilyn, but didn't see her. Tessa exercised self control, refusing to look at the table she knew Hugo was at.

Her own table was to the far side of the cafeteria. She didn't wait for Marilyn before eating the toast, then taking out the screws and gears in her pocket to keep going on whatever she was making. At this rate, it looked like a little hand from what Tess had done so far. There was a thumb and a pointer finger though the other fingers weren't done yet. She didn't know why her automatic go to was to build a hand. Maybe because they could always help by holding something when needed. It was definitely helpful when working on an intense project that involved many, many small and large pieces.

She worked quietly, sighing here and there when something wouldn't do what she wanted it to or her fingers couldn't manipulate the pieces into the right spots. She was thankful that her little mini projects took her mind of people, especially hot people who spoke spanish and were beautiful but didn't know that their friend gave you their phone number.

Marilyn giggled at the distant 'I love you' that echoed from the far end of the hallway, cheek still warm from the friendly kiss of a dearly missed friend. Watching Kiren scuttle about as she did brought merriment to her heart. Though in the end, Kiren's quick departure gave Marilyn little time to compliment her on the pleasantly fruity flavour of her convocation, one which was not too sweet and not too sour, unlike potions in the past. The kick of cinnamon left a refreshing tingle at the back of her mouth as she downed the last of the beverage, the heat of it not bothering the daughter of Apollo. The spicy zest lingered, even when Marilyn collected herself and slipped on her shoes. With a simple flick of a wrist, the lights flicked off and, once satisfied with the darkness of the room, Marilyn was off to the cafeteria.

Though Marilyn was eager to visit her friends, she couldn't help but slow her stride to lengthen the time she had to admire the academy. Of course the academy was something to be admired for it's intricate infrastructure, every stone, brick, and plank placed in a way that constructed a stunning visual. Also, Greece was something wonderful and breathtaking, especially for Marilyn who hadn't traveled further than out of her state growing up. However, at this time of year, when the leaves turned a vibrant array of red, orange, and yellow, it was more beautiful than ever. Even the air at a different taste; it was clean and crisp and just smelled like autumn.

Marilyn's steps faltered, becoming an odd, uneven gait as she became once again distracted by the messages appearing on her phone.

[From: TESS!]
[I think I'm just gonna go work in the shop. Not really hungry.]

Marilyn's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. This was unlike Tess- well, not unlike her to constantly be in her workshop, but it was definitely strange for her to back out of their meetings so suddenly.

[To: TESS!]
[What's up? Something happen? :( I can bring you a muffin or toast or something? ]

[To: Mandy♥]
[ Present, gimme <3 I'm almost at the cafeteria and Tess bailed on me :( Come love me? ]

[From: Curly (Markus♥)]
[Hey Mari! I have most certainly missed you getting my slang wrong! Although if you do it these year, I think I may have to give you an F on your Northern Irish citizenship test :D I'm heading for breakfast, see you down there? :P]

[To: Curly (Markus♥)]
[ Do you think I came up the Lagan in a bubble? Quit faffin' about, our criac is fun!!! I missed you, Curly <3 I'll meet you in the cafeteria ]

Marilyn sighed fondly at Scott's overly formal way of texting and Mandy's completely informal, weird thoughts, the hole in her heart that had opened up over the summer being filled with the reappearance of close friends. The excitement of meeting up with friends intensified just as she came up to the cafeteria. Even from her current position at the entrance, she could smell the mouthwatering scents of freshly baked breads and newly toasted toast, breakfast sausages and bacon, and waffles, pancakes, and french toast. The aroma had her stomach grumbling as she hurriedly pressed on into the cafeteria.

Marilyn was met with the familiar sight of the cafeteria and it seemed that she had gotten there a bit late, for it was now filled with demi-gods on the prowl for breakfast before orientation. Marilyn would see a familiar flash of chestnut colored hair or hear a recognizable deep, resounding voice, but for now, searching for old friends will have to wait until she's grabbed herself some food. Her first instinct, as she loaded her tray, was go to for a fruit salad; the dish featured a mixture of glistening fruit and her favorite fruit, the pineapple, was abundant in her choice. Along with that, she grabbed herself a couple of Weetabix biscuits and a glass skim milk. What surprised her as she spun around in search of a table, however, was seeing Tess sitting by herself at one of the tables. Hadn't she said that she was going to be in her workroom? Nonetheless, she prowled over to where the blonde beauty sat and slid into the empty seat in front of her.

"Hey! I thought you said you'd be in your workroom." She ebbed, curiosity lacing her voice.

Daniel looked up in time to see Otter opening the door. He flashed a smile. At that point, he had slowly sunk down further and further, basically laying on the floor with his head being propped up by the wall, his hands resting on his stomach.

Daniel moved to stand, leaning on the wall with his hands in his pockets as he looked to Otter. Then he saw Aiden. He wasn't sure what he was expecting since he had told her half brother that Otter needed him, and he had though he had heard Aiden's voice going into Otter's room, but it certainly wasn't seeing him.

"Hey Otter, Aiden," Daniel stated, just barely refraining from using another name. He wanted to say something else. Anything else. But he didn't want to humanize the jerk. He made it appear like he was coughing, restraining even putting a name in there. It was amazing how much self control Daniel actually had.

"Yeah, well, a guy tends to want to know the answer to asking someone out as quickly as possible. Not that, you know... I'm like all guys," Daniel stated, struggling to find words that didn't make him seem weird or typical. He stood, just giving an almost smile as he tried to not act like he was getting eaten up on the inside. Naveen was a cool guy, and he hadn't really said anything, but his words were what kept Daniel there, waiting to hear Otter's response.

Daniel almost said something at Aiden. He was so close. It was right there yet he refrained. He could have said so many things. He had so many options to quip back at Aiden. Daniel wondered if Aiden thought Daniel was that bad of a dude. It wasn't like he had done anything previously to ever hurt Otter. Only Aiden.

"Thanks Ai-den. Will you be there tonight at the party?" Dan asked. He knew it was low, but it was the only thing he could do to make sure it wasn't obvious that he was making a quip. He knew Aiden was rarely invited to such events. He had on an innocent face, one that he knew passed for everyone, especially the teachers. It was always a prize winner in contests at parties like tonight.

He then turned to Otter. "And Pukka girl, you doing okay? Can I do anything to help you out? Or is there something I shouldn't do?" Daniel asked, honestly, being genuine. He hated to see Otter hurt. He didn't care that people would talk about the scene that they made, but he did care what Otter thought of him.

Tessa hadn't checked her phone as she fiddled with the device in her hands. Sighing as she broke the third finger yet again. She groaned and felt like tearing up just because of everything that was happening. First she embarrassed herself in front of Hugo, then she felt bad for abandoning Marilyn, then she stopped working to keep her mind of things, then she couldn't get the thing to work.

Tessa wanted to throw the project in her hands. She would have if she hadn't been in the cafeteria. Instead, she let her head fall into her hands, massaging her temples. Why couldn't she do anything?

She looked up when she heard someone sit down in front of her, giving Marilyn a weak smile. "Hey," She said softly, as if she wasn't into saying anything. She wasn't. She really only wanted to talk to one person and she was not going to confront him or talk to him. At least, not without Lucca beside her. She didn't know what she would do if he came up to her.

She sighed again before taking out her phone. She ignored the text she had received once she saw it was from Marilyn, then passed it to her friend upon opening up the conversation she had had between Hugo where she had invited him to breakfast then he asked who it was.

"Lucca gave me his number but didn't give him mine so he didn't know who it was or he did know and he just didn't care or didn't want to talk to me. Then I didn't want to leave you but I didn't want to come here because I knew he'd still be here and he's right over there but it hurts to look over there so I sat here by myself to try to work on a project and I can't do it because I freaking can't make things like it work and I suck and everything is just going bad," Tess ranted before finishing by just letting her head rest on the table, face down.

She sighed, glancing up at Marilyn slightly. "Am I overreacting?" She asked softly, pushing her project further away from her so she wouldn't have the disappointment in her face.

"Besides, it was stupid to think he would even look over here. He has so many other friends... Why bother with a stupid mechanic who can't make an automaton hand?" Tessa muttered softly, letting her finger push at one of the mechanical fingers in her sorrow.

She knew she was overreacting, and she knew she was being obnoxious, but it was good to let out what was going on. Her mother tried to listen but was often too busy or didn't have time to have a real conversation and there were few people who Tessa felt comfortable enough talking to.

She looked up at Marilyn, asking, "Why are the cute ones never interested?" Tessa asked glumly, in a voice that would cause a lot of people to elicit a little laugh which she didn't think she'd mind. It would make her think it wasn't the end of the world. A little laugh, or advise on how to get a boy to either notice or not be stupid...

Mark walked along the halls wearing a jumper he had just thrown over his plain white T-shirt, it was a simple grey jumper, loose fitted and what most would call unflattering but what he would call comfortable, his jeans were skinny and hung low on his waist, revealing the top of his underwear, something he often corrected out of his self concious nature, he didn't need anyone to see his vibrant pink boxers, well except for one person but he'd see them eventually. On his feet he wore what were once black converse, they weren't worn out, the black had just faded from being in the wash one too many times.

As he made it to the doors of the cafeteria, his phone vibrated and not just once, he sighed as he took his phone out to respond to his ever increasing popularity, he leaned against the wall next to the doors so as to respond to the messages before entering into the cafeteria and being in people's presence, he hated using his phone when he was sitting with people, it didn't stop him from doing it but he felt rude as hell.

[From: Marilyn Tsinajinnie]
[ Do you think I came up the Lagan in a bubble? Quit faffin' about, our criac is fun!!! I missed you, Curly <3 I'll meet you in the cafeteria ]

[To: Marilyn Tsinajinnie]
[A* on that use of slang there! It actually formed a somewhat applicable response xD I shall sit with you in a bit :P Imma collect me some food]

[From: Hugo Rojas]
[Not much, my Puta! You're going to have to make do with the other pitiful breads. Shame :( ]

[To: Hugo Rojas]
[Damn, here I was hoping you'd have forgotten what those things were :O I'll have to plan better next time xD White bread it is pour moi :P You had breakfast yet?]

[From: Isabel Nolan}
I think I'm in love. Marry me? That video is happening, tonight.
I'm in the cafeteria if you want to join, leave your shirt off.
xx Iz]

[To: Isabel Nolan]
[You only think! :O How can we marry if at the alter you turn round and say 'I think I do', how ever will I explain that to mama and papa? xD I already told Marilyn I'd sit with her, I'll meet up with you after the orientation day and we can get to preparing the necessities. I'll be the one person in the school who you haven't talked out of their shirt :P]

He spotted Marilyn from the doors, sitting with Tessa, instead of heading straight for the pair, he made a beeline through the food, collecting 2 slices of toast, and two eggs, a strawberry greek yoghurt and a small bowl of fruit, he carried the tray over to the two girls, as he passed Isabel's table he gave a curt nod with a smile, as he passed the table, a thought crossed his mind, maybe Isabel hadn't seen his message and he was just completely rude and ignored her offer, by the time he'd finished his thought he was beside Marilyn. He set his tray in the empty seat next to Marilyn, quickly turned to Isabel with his phone out and montioned for her to check her messages.
"Hey," He announced himself with a smile, turning to look at the pair he decided to sit with, but when he noticed Tessa's expression, it faltered. "Did I interrupt something? Are you okay, Tessa?" Genuine care laced his voice, even if he and Tessa weren't close, he did deeply care for everyone in the academy, they were his family afterall. "If you need any help, I give excellent advice and also have friends in high places." He said with a teasing sinsterity to it, joking at his Northern Irish roots and how nearly everyone there knew someone who was a terrorist. Unlike most, humour was his go to when people looked upset, if he can garner even the slightest smile, he's made them feel better and also opened a gateway to helping them more.

Naveen had just finished sharpening his knife when his student Daniel came over to talk to him. The son of Zeus was stressed. That much was obvious. The poor fellow had just gotten a complicated response from the girl he liked. If Naveen knew anything about love, it was seeing it in others and recognizing it. At least, when they were as obvious as Daniel Keisuke.

Naveen placed his knife in it's sheath and grabbed a cup of tea before resuming his seat. He liked the old fashioned tea, with seven sugar cubes. Naveen liked sugar. It was yummy.

As Naveen cradled his cup and Cody began playing tug of war with his boot's laces, Jack Clement appeared with his golden retriever, Skipper. Naveen loved Skipper, the dog was adorable and loved him. All animals loved him. Except for sharks... That was a story he didn't tell.

Naveen smiled at the golden retriever and gave a slight wave to his student as he hunched in his seat and took a sip of his tea. He didn't speak until Jack did, giving Jack all of Naveen's attention. He lifted his chin slightly to be sure he made proper eye contact. Naveen was confident in himself and had no problem making eye contact with anyone, escpecially his students.

Naveen considered Jack's words before nodding slightly and scratching at the slight scruff on his chin. "I'm doing well, thank you. I have not though a couple of strays picked me up while I was in Alaska," Naveen stated simply as he took another sip of his tea.

It was then Naveen realized what Jack was truly saying and smiled broadly. "Clements, you ought to know better. This is the same pup that followed me last year and the year before that. I suppose I shall introduce him to everyone this year and not just the seniors... His name is Cody, mother gave him as a graduation present. If you get a doctorate in shool, perhaps mother will give you a similar present," Naveen stated encouraginly, at first slightly confused before realization had dawned on him. .

Jack was his younger brother, and he was a good kid. He cared. He had trouble in love as all demigods did, but he tried. The more he tried, the more he would succeed in life.

Naveen, knowing it would only be rude to not do so, prepped himself to ask Jack how it was going. "How about you Jack? Nice summer? Anything exciting? Been practicing?" Naveen asked with a smile and a slight raise of his eyebrow as if chastising him but doing so lightly and jokingly.

He was an older brother and a teacher and a friend. He wasn't half related to Jack, but it was just the same to him. Naveen ran his hands through Skipper's hair, messing with the dog's ears as he sent a message of happiness and joy to the dog through their connection before giving the complaining Cody who was whimpering from not recieving the attention. The wolf pup was adorable. And so was Skipper.

Naveen wondered if Jack would want to try to show his practice, but devided he wouldn't offer. He had already spoken a lot. If Jack asked another question, so be it. He would answer, but why talk more when you can listen and watch?

Tess looked up when she heard someone sit down to see Mark Buik take a seat next to Marilyn. Tessa liked to think of him as the car. It was simple. It helped her remember his name. And she liked cars, therefore, she must have liked Mark in some way or another.

"Boys are so... infuriating. And I wish they could pick up on how girls feel but at the same time if they did then he would know how I feel and then everything would be so screwed up because he'd be like 'Oh, Tessa, how could I like a small little blonde like you who is socially awkward for the most part and always has grease on your face?'" Tessa asked, rushing and upon talking as "him" dropping her voice an octave. It was probably comical from another person's point of view. Tessa, upon finishing her rambling, let her head drop onto the table again, sighing.

She thought about her words for a second before sitting up, her wringlets flying to land on her back as she looked between Marilyn and Mark. "Do I have any grease on my face?" She asked innocently and hopefully, not wanting to deal with it.

Tessa dropped her head down again before letting it roll so it was resting on her arms. She sighed. "Thanks Mark... Maybe how to respond when the guy you text texts this back to you when you text him the first time?" Tessa asked softly as she plucked her phone away from Marilyn and pushed it towards Mark.

"Am I being too stressed? Why am I talking so much?" Tessa groaned as she let her forehead go back to the table and sighed again, her arms hanging limply at her side. She groaned obnoxiously, wanting Aphrodite herself to show up to figure out her love life but not daring to pray to her. She was screwing things up as it was. Or maybe that was her son... Tessa wasn't even sure anymore.

It was pushing twenty minutes before August realised that Shyroe wasn't going to turn up. With a small sigh, he assumed that his sister had stumbled into Kiren or one of her other friends and had forgotten all about meeting him; August didn't mind but now he was a little lost on where to go.

Reaching for his phone, August fishes it out of his jeans pocket and checks for any messages, before sending some out himself,

[ to : shy ]
forget something little sis? It's fine, I'll see you later.

[ to : mandy ]
my little sister just ditched me, is that sad? Please say I'm not a total loser :-(

After hitting send on those two messages, a faint rumbling noise emits from August's stomach. Despite having just had a bagel, he was still hungry. And so August's decision was made for him - He was off to the cafeteria for a second breakfast. Something that wasn't often uncommon for August. He'd usually have a small meal as soon as he woke, and another in the school cafeteria, not just for the food but also so that he might have the chance of seeing some friends before the start of the first school day back.

The cafeteria was only a brief walk away from where August had been stood by the school gate, so he arrived at the building shortly and was met with the most divine smell. People were clustered around the dining hall, plates full with all manner of delicious breakfast foods. August had found himself in the cafeteria right when breakfast was in full swing and it was packed. Grabbing a bowl and filling it up with a load of fresh fruit, August peers around the room for somewhere to sit.

Noticing a few empty seats on a table where Marilyn, Tessa and Mark sat, August makes a beeline for the trio. Despite only being casual friends with Tessa, August knew Marilyn and Mark well so assumed they wouldn't mind him butting in on their conversation. It wasn't until after he had greeted everyone with a cheery "Hello," and sat down that August noticed Tessa's slightly forlorn expression. "Sorry, am I interrupting something?" He asks them as a group before turning to Mark and frowning ever so slightly in a 'what happened' kind of way.

Shyroe was walking around in the hallways trying to remember where the cafeteria is, when she got a text.

[From Kiren:]
I'll meet up with you in orientation, we can do something after! Hang out? Have some fun maybe with friends? See you later my lovely love! :)

[To Kiren:]
Okie doke! I'll see you there! I'm currently heading to the Cafeteria.

As Shyroe sent the message she noticed a map of the school and stumbled over to it and looked over it sleepily. She soon found where the Cafeteria was, and headed that way, deciding to get a muffin, or something like a baked good that might cheer her up. But she was still really happy with her meet up with Kyle, she almost got out of her shell to talk to him normally. Soon her phone buzzed again and she checked and saw a text from August.

[From Auggie:]
forget something little sis? It's fine, I'll see you later.

Once Shyroe read the text she realized that she had promised to meet him at the gate, but she was to hyped up with Kyle talking to her that she stumbled into the school.

[To Auggie:]
:O I'm so sorry! I had a run in with Kyle and I freaked out, and, and! I'm soo SORRY!

Shyroe typed frantically as she finally made it to the Cafeteria. It was humongous, and in all honesty scared the living day lights out of Shyroe. She got in the lineup to gets some muffins- Looking around for August. The line moved quickly and soon Shyroe had to order with out messing up her words. "H-Hello! I'd l-like a.. Muffin! Please.. Could I have the blueberry one?" She asked awkwardly as the person nodded, but stared at her in a way she didn't like. The person gave her a muffin and she walked around looking for August.

Soon she spotted him and rushed over to greet him, when she realized there was other people there with him. She sat down beside August quietly and poked him. "H-Hi.." She stuttered quietly, giving a small wave to be polite. Shyroe only recognized Tessa from a class she was once in with her, but she still couldn't have a normal chat like she can with Kiren. The rest of them she didn't recognize, so she hid her face while eating her muffin.

Naveen looked to his younger brother, waiting and wondering if he would see a reaction. He watched as Jack seemed to lose the pep in his step. Naveen nodded, and looked down to Cody. Few people had a good relationship with their godly parent. Naveen had a semi okay one. She woud make appeareances when Naveen was entirely alone on camping trips that his father abandons him on. That happened more often than Naveen would have liked.

Naveen looked back up to Jack and might have winced at Jack's laugh if Naveen was different. The way he was, he held sympathy, but not the kind someone would have when they think someone else is pathetic. Naveen has sympathy for Jack because he remembered how he used to feel about their mother. He still tolerated her and was glad when she said hi, but she was not their mother.

As Jack spoke, Naveen observed and listened. He didn't dare speak until Jack was done. Naveen rarely spoke without being directly spoken to, but he felt certain circumstances were exceptions.

When Jack was done, Naveen spoke to him softly. "Jack, you done with the language?" Naveen asked like the older brother he was. He hated inappropriate language and few students actually cursed in his class as they knew he called them out on it in front of everyone.

He then looked down at his dirty dishes before looking back up at Jack and speaking softly. "Jackie, I say she gave it to me because I studied and graduated early. Perhaps if you ask me in a less public place I'll tell you what was going on around the time I got my doctorate. And I got my doctorate because I wanted to help people, not because I wanted to have Artemis notice me. Besides, bitterness does not suit you Jack, we all have plenty to be bitter about," Naveen stated simply, giving a hint of bitterness in his tone towards the end but leaving it at that. Immediately the bitterness was gone and his face was more like a big brother talking to a little brother.

"Really, we are more similar than just being the children of the gods Jack. If you ever want or need help or begin to lose faith, come find me," Naveen stated simply before standing. He gave a wink before leaving Jack at the picnic table, making a clicking noise so Cody would know he was leaving. The young pup jumped after Naveen as Naveen walked towards the faculty building.

He had spoken so much! But he was there for his students, and other demigods. His younger half siblings especially.

Naveen walked into the faculty building and wrinkled his nose slightly. He couldn't stand being official. He was wearing sweatpants for crying out loud. He walked into his office, one on the first floor that had a sliding door Naveen had installed. He liked that he could open it and sit on a chair he hat outside. Cody had a little doggie bed in Naveen's office and immediately went there.

Naveen spotted a little bag on his "desk" which was really just a coffee table. Desks were stupid. Instead, Naveen had a couch and a coffee table and a side table with the coffee table serving as his desk. It worked for him. He smiled at the goodies before leaving Cody to fine June.

He found her, and Terry, and Priscilla all in June's office. Naveen froze slightly at the crowd before shrugging inwardly and stepping up to the door. Thanking people was allowed in his repertoire of reasons to speak.

"Thank you June," He stated with a smile and a nod as he gave little waves to the others in the room. He gave one final smile before moving to leave, not really wanting to have to make his own conversation starter to have to stay. He wouldn't really mind them asking him to join, but that was equal with him sitting outside and practicing knife throwing.

Tess looked up as August sat down. She shrugged, her face not happy still but she sat up at least. She pulled her invention project back, working on that again to avoid feeling like there was a lot of people. She liked that everyone was near her, that she was getting attention, but she hated that it was only because they seemed to think that she was upset. Why couldn't people give her attention just because she was Tessa?

Tess again attempted to fit the fingers into the mechanical hand but failed. Then another person sat down. She felt her shoulders hunch as she wasn't sure what to do. She found that the piece finally fit but that she wasn't sure what to do with so many people.

She wanted to escape and looked to Marilyn to see if she would mind. If it had been people she was close to, like Otter and Marilyn and Hugo and Priya, that would have been different, minus Hugo since he made her nervous no matter where he was.

Alex Verlin (0040BF) and Ryuu Morimoto(404000), 1 September, Orientation Day, Cafeteria

Alex had absolutely zero clue where to go. thankfully, Ryuu did, and the duo had met up with the other members of their batch. Alex would've much rather go to sleep instead of talk, but since there were no beds around Alex leant against the wall and crossed his arms, closing his eyes.

Ryuu smiled as he chatted with the others, feeling like he was at the top of the world. Oh man, this was awesome! Ryuu still couldn't believe it. A boarding school that allowed him to stay away from home, and unless he kicked up a fuss his father could do nothing about it since he had a scholarship and everything, and since Ryuu planned on being the ultimate normal student Raiden Morimoto would never have to come to the academy unless absolutely necessary. He was already making friends with a lot of people and had managed to familiarise himself with most of the others (even if it was only through sight), which was already pretty good in Ryuu's book.

He grinned happily. Yup, life was sweet, and would be more sweeter from here on out especially now that he and a few others were going to the cafeteria to eat breakfast. Thanks to travelling here Ryuu hadn't eaten breakfast yet, he was starv - no wait, extremely hungry. Starving felt different. More painful, for one thing. He made his way to the wall Alex was leaning against, bumping into a girl going in the opposite direction.

For a moment that was more like a blink, Ryuu winced, and his hand went to his right upper arm. He immediately covered it up with a sheepish smile and turned around to apologise, but the girl had already gone off, chatting with her friend.

Ow, Ryuu thought, rubbing his arm gently. The large bruise on it throbbed from the impact. He'd gotten it two days ago, along with a few others scattered on his abdomen here and there from when his father lost it at the dinner table. The bruises on his thigh and shoulder were almost healed, along with the smaller one almost below the newer bruise, but it still hurt.

Ryuu still had no clue what had set him off. Work maybe? Or something Ryuu did?

It was probably the latter. Ah well. Rearranging his face into a smile, Ryuu approached Alex and shook him lightly. "C'mon, sleepyhead," he grinned cheerfully as Alex's eyes blinked open, "Rise and shine! A few of us are gonna get breakfast, want to come with?"

---------------------------------------------------

Alex still felt sleepy, but less like falling asleep on his feet. Ryuu introduced him to Celgi, Killian and Glen, who were children of Hephasteus, Ares and Hermes respectively and had absolutely no clue where the cafeteria was. Alex didn't say much, but Ryuu more than made up for it by talking a mile a minute. They didn't seem to mind that Alex wasn't really a talker, which Alex found himself grateful for.

After finding the cafeteria and getting their breakfast, they went off to find a seat, jokingly mocking each other's choice of of breakfast. Alex was in the middle of debating with Killian on just exactly why Cookie Crunch were infinitely more superior than porridge when -

"Whoa!"

- All of them tripped. Glen and Killian, having superhuman reflexes thanks to their godly parents, caught themselves and quickly grabbed at the person closest to them to prevent them from falling. Celgi's breakfast fell to the floor, but since it was wrapped in plastic it didn't matter... leaving Alex just enough time to think Oh shit- before he landed on the cafeteria floor with a thud while his tray flew out of his hands.

People were yelling, and with a dawning feeling of horror in his stomach, Alex looked up and saw in what felt like slow motion his breakfast falling towards two students sitting at tables.

Still half outstretched on the cafeteria floor, Alex's hand shot out almost reflexively and turned the falling milk, orange juice and cereal into ice.

Within seconds, the white and orange liquid mixed with cereal turned into brittle ice that would shatter upon contact, but it was too late - gravity was doing its work, and Alex couldn't stop the net of ice from falling.

Jackie Pineman (BF4000), 1 September, Orientation Day, Dorm room - Cafeteria

Adjustments done, Jackie stretched her arms and decided to head to the cafeteria for breakfast. Pulling on a dark blue sports hoodie over a white shirt with a stylised black skull logo and black jeans, Jackie slipped on her trainers and headed out of the room with a bag slung around her shoulder, containing gym clothes, a few books and her wallet. Classes would be boring today since the first day of the school year was normally spent by everyone (even the teachers) reorienting themselves back to school life and patching up with friends, so Jackie planned to spend the day catching up with everyone in real life and relaxing in the gym or sparring.

After she ate, though. Jackie's stomach growled, and her steps quickened to a brisk trot as she made her way towards the cafeteria, fully focused on getting food to appease the dark growling pit that was her stomach. Jackie frowned and clutched the sling of her bag tighter. Geez, it felt like her stomach was trying to digest itself! maybe she should've eaten breakfast before making all those changes to Vladsmire...

Nah.

Jackie dismissed that thought almost as soon as she had thought it. Her character was even more awesome now! The tiny white haired midget could move faster, for one thing, and Jackie had managed to give him a pair of cybernetic upgrades that enhanced his healing factor and defence. She grinned to herself. No friggin' way she would lose against those-

The smell of food hit her like a punch to the stomach, and Jackie suddenly remembered that she was incredibly hungry and that thoughts relating to game characters could wait until after her stomach stopped threatening to commit suicide if food wasn't in it within the next five minutes. Running to the counter with the shortest queue, Jackie ordered a cheese omelette, some bacon, toast and a glass of apple juice. She crossed her arms impatiently as she waited for the food to arrive, almost cheering out loud as the delicious looking meal finally made it's way onto her tray to be whisked away to the nearest seat.

Balancing the tray on one hand and grabbing a piece of toast with the other, Jackie stuffed it into her mouth and chewed as she walked around the cafeteria to find a seat. Thanks to the first years and other members of the school coming in, the cafeteria had gotten more crowded and noisier, and now it was pretty hard to find an empty seat. Jackie gritted her teeth as a second year bumped into her and nearly caused her to spill the plate of food balanced in her hands, disappearing before Jackie could do anything. Dammit all, she really should've gone earlier-

Jackpot!

Jackie grinned gleefully as she spotted an empty chair. She charged straight for it, miraculously not spilling her food or juice, and slid into the seat with a sense of victory. Spying Tessa and some others on another table nearby, Jackie beamed and waved at her before consuming her breakfast with a ferocity only seen on lioness defending her cubs. Someone yelled behind her, but Jackie ignored it in favour of eating her food.

"Boys are so... infuriating. And I wish they could pick up on how girls feel but at the same time if they did then he would know how I feel and then everything would be so screwed up because he'd be like 'Oh, Tessa, how could I like a small little blonde like you who is socially awkward for the most part and always has grease on your face?'" Mark shrugged his shoulders before giving her forearm a light punch, teasingly.
"That's why I only date men." He took a bite of his egg and toast, and then thought about what she said. "Wait what guy is this?" He looked at both Marilyn and Tessa, his mouth was only semi full so he let the food fall to the front of his mouth so as the muffling of his voice wasn't so bad. "I'm pretty sure I've heard a few... complimentary whispers about you, here and there." He gave her a wink as he chewed his food. "Also... You're in a school with some of the most talented alchemists and love witches around, I'm sure one of the Hecate or Aphrodite kids can help you out if you wanna cheat." He then pursed his lips and looked off to the side. "Okay, maybe I not as good with the advice thing as I thought."

"Do I have any grease on my face?" Mark made a face which implied he thought she was being ridiculous, but not in a serious way and shook his head, this time his mouth was full and to speak would not being a pretty sight and wouldn't be coherent. Tessa then pluck the phone from Marilyn's hands and slide it across the table to Mark, who swallowed his food and whipped his hands on his jeans, before picking it up and reading the message.

Mark looked at Tessa with a slight smile, "Tessa you've nothing to worry about," He looked at the contact name along the top of the message. "Just tell him it's you and how you got the number..." He then paused for a moment and then looked at her. "If it's like a way you're ashamed of, just say I gave it to you and if he asks why just say something like 'Oh you know Mark and his phone, if you can't reach him you better try reaching one of his friends'." He gave a playful shrug and flashed her smile before taking another bite of his egg sandwich.
"Am I being too stressed? Why am I talking so much?" Mark's smile faultered as her head met the table again.
"Hey, we all get like this when we text people we like, right Mari?" He gave her a nudge with his foot and then a quick glance, indicating he wanted her to agree with him, he knew not everyone did it but he definitely did and knew Tessa would feel better if she wasn't being like a one in a thousand who stress over people not texting them back.

Mark didn't even notice August sit down, he was rather caught up in the discussion at hand, and when he spoke up Mark turned to look at him with a look of surprise. "Hello, Sorry, am I interrupting something?" Mark shook his head with a smile.
"Awk no, you're grand." Mark blushed as he heard his own extremely belfast accent, his eyes widen in disbelief at how his accent broke into the most horrible accent ever. "Sorry." He apologised for his accent as he regained some control over his accent and made it a more refined and understandable, or as people called it back home, posh, accent. Mark caught August's expression and mouthed 'later' to him, before noticing Shyroe sit next to him, Mark had never really engaged with the girl but he was plenty friendly with everyone so he waved at her.
"Hey." His voice was soft and his smile welcoming, he'd heard she could be pretty shy so didn't want to be intimidating, not that he was, no one was ever scared of him, he lightly chuckled to himself at the thought of someone finding him intimidating, but when he realised he was in coming he blushed and tried to recompose himself.

Castor was working on getting things ready for orientation and his first class. He had decided to take a short nap on his desk when he heard the lightning crash. Castor immediately woke up and nearly fell out of his chair from how loud the noise was. He cursed under his breathe and picked up the papers that fell on the floor. "Well great. Daddy's here..." Castor prayed that Zeus wouldn't be paying him a visit. He wasn't in the mood for a 'father-son' chat with the big guy.

Castor finished his work and made sure his outfit was perfect. He looked himself over using the camera on his phone as a mirror when a text appeared from his favorite student. Castor's lips curled into a devious smirk when he read it and then he responded:

Hey you. I just finished up my work for orientation. My summer was wonderful but I'd rather you tell me about yours later.

Castor sent the message and out his phone away before grabbing his messenger bag and coffee and leaving the classroom. He decided he wanted to go pay his two favorite coworkers a visit and figured he'd find them together. After a few turns down the halls he stopped at the counsellor's office to find the two he was looking for. "Hello ladies." He said with a charming and seductive grin on his face. "You two look positively lovely today."

Castor noticed Terry and acknowledged him by giving a friendly nod.

"Spencer?" Her roommate called. "Are you awake?"

Spencer groaned into her pillow and flipped over onto her back. I am now... She tossed her sheets off of her body and got out of bed. She then wiped the sleep away from her eyes before realizing her roommate would want an audible response.

"Yeah, I'm up. I'm getting dressed now."

Spencer flicked on the light in her room and made her way to her closet to pick out some clothes for her first official day at the academy. Spencer eventually picked an outfit and put it on before opening her door.

"Uh, hey roomie." Spencer said awkwardly. Both of them had been here early. Ruth was her before Spencer. Spencer tried to come as soon as possible for the sake of getting out of her hell hole of a house but she didn't know why Ruth came early. It's like she really cared if the girl told her or not. [color=#00006]"So what do you need?"[/color] Spencer asked figuring that would be the only reason why she would wake Spencer up so early.
