Bronte

Stepping out of the car to see the new house, she blinked at the enormity of it. "That's kind of cool, actually," she smiled. Grabbing her back pack, she headed into the house after collecting keys off one of the workers who were busy lugging their furniture into the old Victorian establishment. She decided to go pick a room first, so dashed up the stairs in front of her. She saw a lounge off to the right, grinning. "This place is rad," she mumbled, taking the steps two at a time. She made her way down the hall before slipping her head into the first room. It was empty, so she continued on. The next room had a bed in it and dark shutters over the window. What scared her the most was that there was a girl with long blonde hair sitting on the bed. Upon blinking, however, she disappeared. "Oh... Long drive messes with my head, yet again." She tossed her back pack onto the bed and kicked off her boots into the room. "Mine now."
She decided to check the next door, to see it was a small bathroom. It gave her the chills for some reason, so she backed out. The door at the end of the hall was open and on impulse she wandered towards it. It looked like a master bedroom, actually. Walking in, she traipsed towards the window that was covered in filmy white curtains. "You're not going to last here long," a male voice behind her muttered. She spun on her heel, heart pounding. There was no one there, though. Putting a hand to her heart, she sighed. She quickly headed back to the stairs, leaning over the banister to see the workers and her family.
"Did you guys see a boy before at all?" she called down to them.

Violet stood in her room and watched the moving van and car come down the road and into the drive way. She had hoped it was just a couple but then the children came out. One girl, who looked to be her age, made her way quickly into the house. Sitting on the bed she thought about what would happen to them...the could end up dead like her or actually survive. Shaking her head she heard the footsteps of the girl. Violet didn't move as the girl walked in, she knew she could see her but in a second she was gone, staring at the girl as she stayed invisible.

The girl walked out and Violet followed, seeing Tate in the other room. She waved her hand at him to get out but either he didn't see her or he was ignoring her. The girl stepped in the room and Tate whispered in her ear. She felt bad for the girl, she was only in here for a few minutes and was already being attacked. When the girl left she stared at Tate, "You couldn't just let her be for at least one night?"

Audrey finally emerged from the family vehicle after much poking and prodding from her father. Aud didn’t feel like wandering the house that was now their new home. The sixteen year old wanted her old home, her old room and her old friends. Now they were here being forced to start over from scratch and f that wasn’t enough her siblings didn’t seem to care much one way or the other. It was a betrayal of the highest order. ‘Traitors’ the bespectacled teenager thought to herself as she looked up at the giant house in resignation.

For a split second she swore she saw a figure twitch away from one of the third floor windows. Using her hand to cast shade over her eyes Audrey saw nothing now and shrugged her shoulders writing it off as a trick of the lighting. Adjusting her glass the petite brunette finally entered the new and strange house. With a heaved sigh she pushed the heavy door open and ignored her younger siblings who were up to a rousing game of tag in the cavernous hall. Shuffling further into the house she came to a door, peeking inside she saw what could’ve been an office or a study at one time. It had its own entrance, awesome stained glass and a vaulted ceiling. “Sold” Aud murmured to herself as she slowly spun in a circle to take the room in. It was then Aud heard the cry of her twin.

Leaving what she hoped would become her bedroom the second of the sixteen year old Bennet twins went in search of her sister. “If there was a boy he turned himself invisible and snuck out the back door.” Aud replied sardonically to her sister as she glanced around and took no notice of any supposed boy. Climbing the stairs two at a time to join BB, Audrey couldn’t help but to continue tease. It was only her nature. “Unless it was a ghost…oooOOOOooooh” She teased coming to a stop beside Bronte.

“Did you find a room and why do you think there’s a boy here, what’d he look like?” Audrey asked curiously.

She watched Audrey enter the house and actually look to be happy about something, which honestly was a pleasant change from the grumpy girl who'd been in the whole car ride over. Giving her a wry smile, she stuck out her tongue. "Definitely a ghost, then A," she giggled. Then she considered the questions. "Yeah, I found a room. It's pretty dark so I might actually get sleep for once." An uneasy feeling came over her for a moment, and she turned to glance behind her. She shivered; she could have sworn there was breathing right at her ear. "Uh... I didn't see any boy, really... I just heard him. He said something like 'you won't last' or something... Ugh, my fault for watching The Orphan on the way over here." She shrugged it off and looked back to her twin. "Oh, but I read on the house description that there's a basement! Come explore it with me!" she cried. She took Audrey's hand and dashed down the stairs without waiting for much of a response. Their last house had no attic, nor a basement, and being particularly fond of horror movies, BB really wanted to check them out.

Tate

He turned back to Violet. He looked at her carefully. "I thought you weren't talking to me..." he muttered. Looking out to the twins, he chuckled. "Ironic... last twins that were in here, one died." He crept up behind Bronte, breathing into her ear. He almost laughed when she turned and replied to who was very obviously her sister. "I wonder which one of these are going to have the same fate?"
He stopped short when they left, heading for the basement. "Aren't your parents still scaring anyone who enters the basement?" he asked. Vivien had full on shot and stabbed Ben for the last family that tried to move in. These guys were just kids; they didn't need to see that. "This could be bad..."

Unlike her two elder sisters, Emily noticed no spirits or apparitions, either before or immediately after she entered the large old house. Perhaps the entities in her vicinity were more cautious than the others. Perhaps it was because she was engrossed in examining the architecture of the building as she made her way inside. Or perhaps it was merely because Emily was less observant at the moment. Regardless of what the reason might have been, the effect was the same, and any oddness the house might have held for Emily remained un-elevated.

To be fair, she also wasn't moving with quite the speed of some of her siblings either, instead wandering idly through the old building as she made her way to her destination. The destination she had in mind, of course, was the basement. Being who she was, Emily had volunteered to check for any possibly harmful molds or fungi that might have been overlooked by whoever had last evaluated the house. Most likely being the coolest and most moist place in the building, it would make sense for her to check there first.

As Emily approached the basement staircase, and her younger siblings ran about behind her, it occurred to the girl that there might be all manner of dust, dirt, cobwebs, and other such undesirable substances in down those stairs. But, as she thought a moment later, the rest of the house had clearly been cleaned recently enough, and there was no reason to believe otherwise about the basement. Besides, she was going down there to look for possibly toxic substances, so those would hardly be important by comparison.

She was just taking the first few steps downward, when she heard footsteps behind her. Pausing on the stairs, Emily half-turned to see who was approaching.

Stopping short when she saw her sibling, she blinked for a moment, the corner of her mouth twitching down. "What are you doing? Actually, not important. You're too small to go down into the basement, you shrimp," she muttered before casting looks about in case of her mother. "Besides, A and I have stuff to do down there. So, scoot." Heading down, she reached for a light switch before finally getting her fingers to it. "Whoa, this is cool," she smiled, hopping down two at a time. She looked into where Charles had once run his practice, its grizzly past a mystery.
