Akira rubbed her eyes with a long extended yawn. She got mistook for a boy her Freshman year and has been playing the role since. Now a Sophomore, she had another year of carefully keeping her secret, or suffering severe consequences.
She began tugging at her jacket unhappily, though the silver lining was that it kept her warm. Today was still pretty cold, not exactly sweater weather, but definitely not summer. She hated the beginning of Spring. It was still too cold to go outside. Though on the downside, she really didn't enjoy the fit of her uniform. It was baggy in all the right places to make her look even more like a male! She didn't care so much, but this made it progressively harder to get a boyfriend. She was a tomboy, but even she wanted a prom date.. Bright side! Yes, think on the bright side Akira.. at least you can join the boy's teams now. The girl teams in Britain were too easy. She enjoyed playing on the boy teams last year, even though it was tricky business. Keeping her gender a secret was NOT a cakewalk. How did I even get mistaken for a boy!? ..Well.. Her angry thoughts wavered, understanding that her short hair and anti-feminine clothes might have made her look like a teen boy who had yet to be graced by puberty. Her choice of clothing the day she took her Student ID picture didn't help in the slightest, but she decided it may make for an interesting saga of her life, especially since her chances of high school romance were next to none. It would at least stir up some controversy if anyone found out.

She let her mind wander to sports, seeing as her true gender was a bridge she'd cross when she got to it. Until anyone found out, she didn't have to worry about it. Sports.. Speaking of that...what sport am I going to try out for this year? Track maybe, or perhaps basketball. Then reality set in, she didn't actually know the rules to Soccer... she'd have to learn the game if she wanted to play that sport. She didn't really like learning new games, it was pretty boring at first, not to mention she might not make the team. Basketball it is then...

She looked up to see she was at the main gate, running for the school building excitedly. This was the first day of a new year, it was okay to be excited right? New grade, New teachers, new people, new everything. This year had to be perfect.. She was pretty awkward the year before. Most people just knew her as "The new guy from Europe." Akira walked into the building, shutting the main door behind her. Then she began to ponder on the Sophomore and Freshman pairings. She wondered if she would get a cool kid to show around, or one of those geeky-book worms? Either way, they'd best be able to keep up, cause she wasn't one to walk slow... Though the bonus points definitely had her perked up. She needed all the points she could get in math. 200 starting points definitely would smooth things over...for a while. Maybe by then she could get a tutor.

Where was I supposed to help out again..? Then she remembered, instantly running off to the hall, skidding to a stop to open the door, opening it slowly, "Is there anything left for me to help with?! I had to make sure that my grandmother was okay before I left."

She ran a hand through her hair, trying to fix it, slightly beat from running from her house to school. She felt pretty pathetic, because this was only the beginning of her exercise! She still had a junior to show around.. Hopefully she got one that wasn't too disagreeable. More importantly, she'd have to do a lot better if she wanted to join the sports teams as a boy. Taking care of grandma must have thrown off her training routine and whatnot. Gotta work harder

"You can clean the floors. Grab a broom. Most Sophomores haven't shown up yet. Relax~" said Mr. Fujima, winking at Akira, even though she was clearly male...at least to the uninformed eye. Though she doubted anyone had spies tracking her previous life in Britain. She trudged over and grabbed a broom, frowning a bit, "Really...this is how the year starts? How laaaame..."

Himeko woke up early, but why wouldn't she? Most of the night she stared at the ceiling. If looks could kill, she would have bore a large hole into the bedroom ceiling, deep enough to see the night sky from her bed. She was nervous, but she had a right to be. Ever since the 6th grade Himeko was allowed to have her retainer and best friend, Kazuhiko, present during her classes. However, the Principal to her new school has deemed his presence inappropriate and unnecessary. If she wanted to quote the woman directly, her exact words were; "I realize that being separated from your...servant?... It inconveniences you, and makes you feel uncomfortable, but that's more reason to separate you now. He is a crutch that is to be quite frank, becoming a hindrance as far as your social growth is concerned. I forbid his presence on our campus during educational hours. If I catch him on the grounds between eight and three, he will be arrested. If I catch him on school property after eight in the afternoon he will be arrested."

Himeko closed her violet eyes, the only indication that she was part of the Kitogawa family at all. She looked nothing like either one of her parents, aside from those eyes. She had her mother's eyes, and there was no denying it. When her alarm rang, she let out an annoyed huff, because if she had a choice she'd simply stay in bed ALL day. As far as Himeko was concerned, she didn't want to grace Azuline Academy with her presence if Kazuhiko wasn't welcome. Though none the less she heard the knock on the other side of the door. Rolling her eyes, she rose from the bed, smoothing out the wrinkles in her silk night gown. It was mid-thigh in length, enough to cover anything 'indecent'. Satisfied that she was proper enough to be seen, "Kazuhiko!" she shouted in a flat tone, not angry, but not excited either. There was no real emotion behind it at all. The blonde man bowed after opening the door, stepping through afterward. She instinctively spread out her arms, waiting for Kazuhiko to dress her in the Azuline Academy summer uniform. He picked up the top off the rack, unaffected by her spoiled behavior. In fact, he was quite numb to it. He saw nothing wrong with her attitude about life, because he grew up around her. He knew more about her than possibly even she did herself. He dressed her, only receiving aid when it came to the skirt. She lifted her legs to slip inside of it, but he even had to zip it up. The only clothes she applied to herself was undergarments and her gown. Though who was he to complain? The pay was good, and he actually enjoyed her company. She was never actually cruel to him or anything. He was the only person aside from her little sister that Himeko felt truly...comfortable around, for lack of a better word. There was still a lot she didn't trust even him with. She was quite...defensive. Though he had a gut feeling that something bad was going to happen. As tough as she appeared to be, she was still quite naive and fragile underneath all the layers of defense mechanisms.

He bowed once he got her fully dressed, "I will return shortly with your breakfast, Ms. Kitogawa." He smiled, rising only after he finished his sentence. It earned him a frown from Himeko, but he only chuckled. He knew she hated the title, but he couldn't risk calling her by name with the possibility of her mother listening in. He brought in a cart that had a rather extensive assortment of breakfast items on top. She eyed each choice before picking up an apple, glass of milk, and toast. She didn't eat much, so he didn't understand why they bothered. Most days she picked the same three items. Kazuhiko never would understand rich people.

Himeko ate silently, and stood when she was done. Kazuhiko took the cart out, letting the cook take over as he escorted her outside of the Kitogawa estate. There waited a car, and he opened the back door for her. She got in and he drove her to school without another word between the two of them. Once outside of Airdalen, he looked through the rear view mirror, "Nervous, Himeko-chan?" He asked with a slightly teasing voice. The blonde glared at him with malice before smiling a bit, "Not as nervous as you'll be." she retorted in a somewhat cold tone. She wasn't puppy dogs and daisies with Kazuhiko, but she was considerably nicer to him than anyone else, her little sister excluded.

She let herself out of the car, before he could open it, "You can't come, remember? I might as well get used to doing some things on my own.." She smiled at him, though it was fake. Honestly she was anxious. Who would dress her? Brush her hair? She'd never done any of that on her own before. She grabbed her bag, slamming the door shut before departing. Not offering a goodbye as she approached the building, looking it over. She followed signs until she made it inside and found the gym immediately due to it's ideal location. She hesitated outside, noticing a list of clubs... MANDATORY?! Her eyes instantly widened, and she frowned as she began looking them over. Two!? ...Not a lot to choose from... Band...and Theater. I hate this school... She thought, now in a sour mood. She entered the Gymnasium, eyes landing on a few other students. Two males making conversation in the middle of the floor, one small girl reading a book, which caused her to smile. Somewhat like what I'd do... Then she noticed a dark haired male student, who appeared that he could be model status. He and the girl both had dark hair, she felt like an outsider here. The two on the floor had lighter hair, but still. She doubted anyone came from Russia. Deciding to not focus on how she was the odd man out, she noticed something else. The very tall guy, who appeared to be well over six feet tall,(Ryou) had the same packet that her father had given her about Azuline Academy in his hands. Judging by his appearance he wasn't a Freshman, so she deduced that he was a transfer, much like herself. He's new too..?

Feeling relieved that she wasn't the only one, she decided to sit in his vicinity, but not too close. It was comforting, without the anxiety that making conversation would bring her. She wasn't able to hold conversation with average students, let alone with some guy who appeared to be straight off an Hollister advertisement. Not to mention she didn't know where else to put herself honestly.. Being uprooted from her home country, the principal denying Kazuhiko's presence... She felt like she was trying to catch air in a jar.. She started looking through the packet as well, seeing as there was nothing else she could occupy her mind with at the moment, groaning when she saw the Freshman and Sophomore pairing on the list of welcoming activities. 200 bonus points? Am I supposed to have a 4.1 GPA? She thought with a laugh, considering her's typically was a 4.0 in Russia. Though she wasn't sure if she'd have as much luck in Japan. Standards were...pretty high. She'd have to do some major studying to keep her top grades, "Seriously..? A Freshman? I barely found the Gym.." she signed hed aloud, allowing herself to gaze around the room once more. This was the school? She'd be living here five days a week?, "This seriously blows.." Her accent was foreign, but her Japanese was perfect. Probably due to her Japanese father.

ATTENTION: Mr. Fujima Post

Mr. Fujima rushed to the stage with a smirk spread across his facial features. His golden eyes scanned the room as he grabbed the microphone, unhooking it from the stand, "Attention all students. Please put your cleaning supplies in the gym's broom cupboard and take a seat on the bleachers in a neatly fashion while I make a few back to school announcements before the real fun starts~" He added in a cheerful manner. He ran a hand through his crimson hair, waiting for everyone to follow through with his instructions before continuing, "I know you all missed the lovely Azuline staff, and I just can't wait to get to know this year's Freshman class." He winked to the crowd, mostly focusing his words toward the female students present. That is, until Principal Riyumiya cleared her throat and gave him a hardhearted glare. He chuckled, going through the flash cards in his hands, dropping a few due to her intimidating gaze. He quickly scooped them up and tugged at his tie nervously, "A-anyways~ First off I would like to inform everyone that the lovely lady standing behind me is your new Principal, Ms. Riyumiya. Secondly, Ms. Riyumiya is responsible for the numerous scholarships that have been distributed to several less fortunate, but highly qualified students. There will be an end of year exam for all students, but it is especially important for all students attending on a scholarship to score a seventy percent or higher if they wish to attend Azuline Academy next year. Lastly, I shall announce the Freshman and Sophomore pairings. All Juniors and Seniors are free to head on to class, we have a few social exercises planned for our first and second year partners. If you have ANY questions, I am always here to listen to my students~" he cooed in a flirtatious voice as the principal glared him into submission once more. He shivered, before shaking off the murderous intent of her stare and quickly began reading off names, "As I call your name, stand on the floor." He waited for the upperclassmen to leave before he announced the first pairing.

"Second year; Akira Miyuu is paired with First year; Rin Tateyama." He pointed to the gymnasium floor, ushering for the two to rise and join each other on the stage. Then he continued on with the rest of the pairs, "Second year; John Prescott is paired with First year; Arietta Hakushiro." As he announced their names their picture on their Student ID card flashed across the presentation board behind him for all to see, mostly so everyone would be able to identify their partner, "Second year; Himeko Kitogawa is paired with First year; Daisuke Li Kara." The then began a second row of teams, wanting the pairs of two to line up across the gym floor in rows of three, "Second year; Ryou Giou is paired with First year; Hikari Ushino." the other staff including kind and naive Mrs. Ryoma and stern Ms. Aizaka aided the teams in where they should stand as Mr. Fujima continued, "Second year; Cassiopeia Elegy Argyris is paired with First year; Daniel Trist." then he cleared his throat, naming off several other pairings before finally reaching the last pairing, "Second year; Aeon Belrose is paired with First year; Kaoru Inoue." The teacher grinned as the pairings formed, giving each of them a chance to find their partner before finishing his statement to the students, "You are to escort your Freshman partner around campus and help them settle in to their dorm room. Those who are ranked above an 80% by their Freshman partner will receive a reward. Anyone caught being difficult or rude to their partner will have Two hundred points deducted from their grade. This includes the Freshman class. Have fun, and please remember that I am always here to help students in need~"

Daisuke absolutely refused to say goodbye to his family as he exited his father's black Range Rover. They'd all tagged along for what his older sister had said was his 'big day at a new school'. Daisuke couldn't have cared less whether this was a big day; he didn't care whether it was the biggest day of his entire life. The fact of the matter was, he was being forced into attending some high-end academy that he most certainly did not belong in. Merely glancing up at the building he could tell that this school was way beyond the likes of his own social class. He felt a nimble hand grip at his shoulder and he turned to look down on his younger brother, who, by the look on his face, was most likely hoping for some sort of heartfelt farewell. Daisuke merely sighed, and wriggled his shoulder, before moving forward without looking back. To say that he resented his family would be putting it lightly, but it was his father who was at the centre of his little bubble of hatred. It was his father who'd decided that attending Azuline was, quite simply, a brilliant idea.

He made his way through the large gates, feeling his pace slow with each step until he'd come to a stop in front of one of the two buildings. Having heard the car driving off down the path, Dai finally allowed himself a moment to look back, regretting the moment he even stepped out of the car. Though this did not last long, as soon enough he found himself walking forward once more. He had been told by his father, whom had been told by some teacher (whose name he'd promptly forgotten), that he would have to make his way straight to the gym upon arriving at the school. Grumbling to himself at the mere idea of a welcoming assembly in the gym, Daisuke made his way towards one of the buildings and entered it, narrowly avoiding other students in the long hallways.

In all honesty, Daisuke had no idea where the gym was supposed to be and cursed at the fact that he'd not been given any way of finding his way around the school. Stuck in a dilemma, Daisuke stood completely still in the hallway with narrowed eyes, scanning the students carefully until he caught sight of someone who looked to be his age. Dai followed the student to a large set of doors which were, undoubtedly, the only thing separating him and a room full of people. Hesitating only slightly, Dai moved through the doors and realised that, not unlike the other student who'd stumbled through the doors with red cheeks, he too was late and had walked in right in the middle of a teacher's speech. Quietly and, not even slightly embarrassed, Daisuke moved over to the nearest seat he could fight and listened to the red-headed teacher as he continued on about pairings between Sophomores and Freshmen. With each name that was being called out, an image was shown on the screen of that person and their pair, and it was then that Daisuke had only truly started paying attention as he worked to remember the names and faces of each of the students. When he saw his own name and image on the screen, he sighed audibly and glared at one of his fellow Freshmen who appeared to be amused by his irritation.

His eyes scanned the crowd until he caught sight of his pair. His first opinion of her was somewhat confusing. On one hand, she seemed intelligent and calm, but on the other hand she seemed like the sort of person he couldn't quite understand or bond well with due to the barrier of social class. With his hands shoved deep in his blazer pockets, he stood and walked silently over to the area in which a teacher was moving students into place. He held a passive hand up before the woman went to touched him, and merely gestured for her to point where he would have to stand. He cared not for her blushing face, nor that others were muttering of his somewhat rude attitude. Being stood in one space for too long was making him feel more and more irritated, but whatever he was feeling on the inside did not even manage to dent his facial features or posture.

Looking around, Daisuke was sure that he did not look as pristine and immaculate as most of the others appeared to be. For one thing, his shirt was not tucked in, his tie was hanging lower than it should have been and the top button of his shirt was open. He glanced down at his own outfit, then at another male's and visibly smirked before looking up to see if his 'partner' had made her way down to the group yet.

"Attention all students. Please put your cleaning supplies in the gym's broom cupboard and take a seat on the bleachers in a neatly fashion while I make a few back to school announcements before the real fun starts~"

Fun? Let Kazuhiko in the building and I -might- have fun.. She thought in a bitter tone, rolling her eyes at the energetic male speaker. She wanted to be with her retainer. She felt calm around him. She didn't want to even think about the chaos if she was forced to converse with her fellow students. It always turned out badly if she spoke to other students in Kazuhiko's absence. She felt helpless in this scenario, and any time Himeko felt cornered this way, her claws came out. She didn't mean to be cruel to those around her, but she honestly didn't feel comfortable in the company of others.

"A-anyways~ First off I would like to inform everyone that the lovely lady standing behind me is your new Principal, Ms. Riyumiya. Secondly, Ms. Riyumiya is responsible for the numerous scholarships that have been distributed to several less fortunate, but highly qualified students. If you have ANY questions, I am always here to listen to my students~"

Pairings? Just great. Name Kazuhiko... She smiled, knowing it wouldn't happen. The witch of a principal already refused his presence on the school grounds, let alone in the buildings. She closed her eyes and tried to ignore the students talking about her, most of which were juniors and seniors. Her family name was well known, seeing as her father -practically- owned his own hospital. In a few more years she knew he would. He was growing more famous by the year. Other countries already bought his services. He was on a plane more than he was home these days. She let out an audible sigh before clearing her thoughts completely. It felt better to ignore her surroundings when she was on her own. It was peaceful this way. Thinking about her father on planes, it made her nervous. What if he never came back..? She couldn't blame him..

"Second year; Himeko Kitogawa is paired with First year; Daisuke Li Kara."

She opened one eye when her name was called and she sighed a bit, looking the boy on the screen over. How irritating.. She stood up, making her way down the bleachers before Ms. Aizaka led her to Daisuke. She did not let the teacher touch her and she simply bowed at the rough-for-wear boy. His uniform was askew in perfect contrast to her neat one. His hair was messy, not to say it was a horrible look, but he definitely oozed the essence of 'delinquent'. She stood straight after her polite bow, violet eyes scanning him a bit more before giving her name, "Himeko Kitogawa. Let's make this no harder than it must be." And she turned to face Mr. Fujima. She was silent otherwise, keeping her attention on the teacher.

"You are to escort your Freshman partner around campus and help them settle in to their dorm room. Those who are ranked above an 80% by their Freshman partner will receive a reward. Anyone caught being difficult or rude to their partner will have Two hundred points deducted from their grade. This includes the Freshman class. Have fun, and please remember that I am always here to help students in need~"

Grade reduction? I thought they said BONUS points.... This is ridiculous. They are going to hear from my father about this. She thought in a hateful mood. Though she just let out another sigh. She would have to suck it up and go through pleasantries with this boy, for the sake of her GPA. She had to keep top grades or her mother would have a heart attack, not that she cared. She just...didn't want to see the disappointment in her father's eyes, nor did she want to subject her younger siblings to the screaming of their mother. This is going to be a long day..

Daisuke kept his expression as passive as was humanly possible when Himeko made her way over and stood beside him, bowing to him, though he couldn't help but allow a brow to shoot upwards in awkward surprise. The feeling stemmed mainly from the fact that he wasn't exactly used to gestures like that, especially where he came from. He did not return the gesture, for he did not see the point in it. She was quite clearly far more polite than he was, even if she did look at him like he was the smallest piece of utter crap she'd ever laid her eyes on. He wasn't offended in the slightest. She seemed like she was trying her best, at the very least, and he appreciated that above all else.

When she was stood up straight, he watched her silently while her eyes scanned him and he couldn't help but fidget under her stare. Jeez, he thought to himself, trying not to sigh for the second time in a few minutes. "Himeko Kitogawa. Let's make this no harder than it must be," she said, and Daisuke merely nodded in response, though he didn't know why she'd bothered introducing herself. He already knew her name. Again, Daisuke did not return an introduction. She had ears, and most definitely knew his name. "A pleasure," he spat, trying his best to keep the spite out of his tone, when all he really wanted to do was mutter 'I won't if you won't'. In that instant, Daisuke knew this would be an unpleasant year, but he needed to make his way through it, lest he shame his entire family... Sometimes he even wondered why he cared.

Have fun, and please remember that I am always here to help students in need."

Hearing this made Daisuke's eyes widen by a mere fraction, before his eyelids lowered and his expression turned bored once more. He wondered briefly whether the entire year would be full of situations like this one, where he'd be forced to get along with someone who could be considered his complete opposite or risk losing out on his education. Two hundred points was a lot to lose, even for the best of students, and especially too many for Daisuke to risk losing because of some high-end girl and her "I'm better than everyone" attitude. He sucked in a deep breath and exhaled it slowly but silently, allowing his hands to fall out of his pockets and hang loosely by his sides.

Daisuke was growing more and more impatient with each passing second, and he hadn't bothered to hide this from his facial expression. He tilted his torso around so that he was somewhat focusing on her, whilst not facing her directly, and huffed loudly. "Let's strike a deal," he said, keeping his voice low so as not to be heard by any of the surrounding teachers. "I don't talk to you and you don't talk to me. I'll give you a good score if you give me a good one. No unpleasant small talk, and no bother. Deal?" Without saying much else, Daisuke held out a hand towards her, mainly because he figured that it would annoy her. He wasn't bothered if she didn't take it; he simply wanted to see the look on her face.

"A pleasure."

Himeko fought back the urge to make a smug smile in Daisuke's direction with all of her might. Whenever she was on her own without Kazuhiko...her inner bitch always crept it's way to the surface. Himeko was a bit impressed by his bravery. He was quite cheeky, especially after hearing her last name. Kitogawa was a very prestigious name around Japan, due to the many lives her father had saved over the years. Not to mention he was working his way up the ranks. He would soon own his primary hospital.. Her last name held a decent amount of weight, and it was only getting heavier as years went by.

"Let's strike a deal.."

Himeko turned to face the ebony haired boy, a blonde eyebrow quirked as she observed him. She crossed her arms, waiting for him to continue, a little amused that he was attempting to bargain with her in the first place. I wonder what this is about. This ought to be good. She thought, her signature smirk finally crossing her features.

"I don't talk to you and you don't talk to me. I'll give you a good score if you give me a good one. No unpleasant small talk, and no bother. Deal?"

Himeko's smirk grew as he spoke his proposition. Not bad, not bad.. figures he'd try to barter for a grade though. Though she wasn't going to complain. If he wanted to make a bargain about scores, she'd gladly humor it. She really didn't want to pretend to be anyone she wasn't.. besides, he wouldn't like who she would become if he tried to force her to converse with him. The longer people attempted to poke at her, the more cold Himeko's words became. She would regret it later, of course, but being harsh to those around her was almost an automatic response during times where she was separated from Kazuhiko.

She stared at his hand, silently scoffing at his blatant attempt to make her uncomfortable, "I'm Russian. Unlike Japan, your gesture is common in my home country... Actually it's considered quite polite, Mahlyenki Dyavol." Her accent was rather thick and her tone was sharp as razors as she spoke the last two words in Russian, as opposed to the Japanese she was using previously in the same sentence. She shook his hand with a gentle grasp, seeing as she was a rather fragile girl to begin with. She would definitely need these points to compensate for her inability to preform in gym class, "It's a deal. I'll just name off places along the way and we can go about our own business. I will briefly answer any relevant questions as an added bonus. I take it that being formal is fine with you in this arrangement?" She quirked a quizzical brow at Daisuke. He wasn't an eyesore as far as appearance went, but her mouth moved far faster than her brain in social situations. Whether she wanted to be cute and sweet was irrelevant. Nothing positive would cross her tongue no matter HOW hard she tried. Kazuhiko always translated her words into pleasantries at Azuline last year and every school before that. After the handshake, she brushed her skirt straight, obviously a little obsessive about keeping a pristine appearance. Her violet eyes gazed upon him in an icy, but curious manner, waiting for his response. She actually was having a bit of fun among the aggravation known as the Sophomore and Freshman pairing program.

!!! Attention !!!
Mr. Fujima / Ms. Riyumiya Post
(Also my Akira post so I don't ruin my word count..)

"Now that pretty much all groups have gotten together, feel free to begin your tours. You can start anywhere around the campus, but be sure to introduce your freshman partner to the ENTIRE building by lunch period." Mr Fujima announced. He was about to continue, but was interrupted. Principal Riyumiya put her hand on his chest, signaling for him to step aside. She then proceeded to the front of the stage, taking over the announcements. She stared at the students with a stone hard gaze before clearing her throat, "All cellphones are to be turned in. We have a router that will tell us who has failed to do so and you will automatically lose one letter grade from your GPA if you're caught with your personal phone. Each student will be given a school friendly cellular device. It has every single Azuline student's number programmed into the easy to use database. All conversations are recorded, as are pictures sent. Keep it clean and we won't have issues. You are allowed to call family and outside sources with this phone, but cussing or any other indecent behavior is strictly prohibited from being spread via your new smart device. Thank you, you may begin your day." and she stepped away from the microphone, watching the students like a hawk. She didn't even seem to really care if the students realized this was really one big psychology experiment.. and they were the guinea pigs.

"I apologize, Akira-San.. but yes Rin-San is fine. Lets not go with formalities."

Akira shook her head, and waved casually in Rin's direction, silently assuring her that it was alright. Akira wondered why she was so nervous, but just brushed it off as Freshman nerves, "That's good." She replied in relief, honestly she wasn't sure if she could go an entire year calling someone by their last name. She knew it was common here, but it was still so weird to her even after living in this country for going on two years now. Everything in Japan was practically the opposite of Britain. It was a culture shock and a half when she came here. Luckily her Japanese Stepfather taught her English AND Japanese from childhood. She was as fluent in Japanese as she was her native tongue, "You don't have to apologize. I make a lot of mistakes, so we might as well just keep driving. A bump in the road won't keep us from our destination. It just makes it interesting."

"Yes I was thinking of Choir and basketball.."

"That's cool. We're going to be in a club together. I am joining Basketball for my second year in a row." She grinned at the quiet girl, a little impressed at a girl like her was going to join a sport. She didn't expect it and it made her partner a lot more appealing now. She felt guilty now for assuming that Rin would be a typical nerd, but at least she hadn't said anything out loud. She didn't ruin her chances at a possible friendship before it even started, for once. At least we'll have something to talk about from now on. Akira thought to eagerly. Was she any good? What were her favorite teams? She had a lot of questions spiraling in her head.

"But.."

Eh? Akira tilted her head at Rin, hands still jammed into her pockets. Everything about Akira's body language screamed masculinity, but her facial features were rather androgynous. It did her, nor those around her any favors. She blinked curiously, chocolate brown eyes staring intently at Rin, wondering what seemed to be bothering her.

"I'm not good at sports at all.."

....Oh. That explains it. This is going to be....bad. She thought, but kept a straight face for the girl's sake. She knew what it was like to get made fun of.. regardless of the reason, no one had a right to make fun of another's sporting ability.. at least in Akira's opinion. She rubbed the back of her neck and laughed a bit, "Don't worry. I had a bad season last year because of a death in the family. You should see a little time on the court, no matter how bad you might or might not be." She assured Rin. Akira wasn't sure why, but something about this girl's vibe made Akira feel a bit protective in an older sibling kind of way. It was weird, but she assumed it was due to the potential grade reduction. She was probably just taking her role a little too seriously in her anxiety. Akira put a warm smile on her face as she continued, "Besides, I'm doing a lot better than last year, we can practice after school. A lot of people come to the games so you'll wanna get the best you can at it. Azuline has a lot of school spirit."

"I'm guessing you're very athletic, it must be nice.. Must be in many sport clubs right, Akira-San?"

She noticed Rin's gaze and blushed a bit, laughing nervously, "I work out a lot and do gymnastics in my free time.. The school only offers; Kendo, Judo, Basketball, and Tennis... so not really. I only join Basketball. Cheerleading is the closest thing this school has to gymnastics, but be honest, do I LOOK like a cheerleader?" she asked, quirking an eyebrow at Rin. With the wig, and the fact Akira wore no makeup, she did pass pretty well for a boy. She looked about 60% masculine and 40% feminine, give or take depending on angle and if her throat was visible to others or not.

In all honesty, Daisuke was expecting much more of a reaction from Himeko, certainly more than the scoff she offered him as she stared at his open hand. Only a few seconds passed before she spoke up about it. "I'm Russian. Unlike Japan, your gesture is common in my home country... Actually it's considered quite polite, Mahlyenki Dyavol." At this, Daisuke smiled something genuine. He'd completely missed the last two words of her sentence, but he was pretty sure that what she'd said sounded a lot like "devil". Then again, he didn't speak Russian, and he had no intention of learning. Caught in this line of thought, Daisuke looked down as a hand met with his own; though where her grip was delicate, his was firm. He had to say, he certainly wasn't used to shaking the hand of a girl. He wondered briefly whether or not he was gripping too hard, all the while his eyes were slowly moving from her hand, up her arm and across to her face. He was pretty sure that his hands were also nowhere near as soft as hers; the skin on his palms, just below the fingers, was dried and hard from his work setting up the market stall every morning. Her hands suggested that she hadn't done a single day's work in her entire life. His brows lowered slowly.

Daisuke watched her for a short while, before she spoke again. "It's a deal. I'll just name off places along the way and we can go about our own business. I will briefly answer any relevant questions as an added bonus. I take it that being formal is fine with you in this arrangement?" When she stopped talking, Daisuke paused briefly. She seemed to understand the arrangement as much as he needed her to, and that was good enough. With any luck, the school buildings weren't as large as he'd imagined them to be when he first arrived, so there really wouldn't be much time they'd be forced to spend together. "I highly doubt I'll need to ask any questions," he replied, relaxing his fingers to allow her small hand to slip out of his. His arm dropped to his side and he watched her for a moment, noting the way she brushed her skirt down. "Formalities are easier, I guess, but you can be any way you want to be, sweetheart." Daisuke didn't bother smiling, or even showing any real facial expression, but his eyes were uncharacteristically soft. "I'll stay quiet and follow you for this 'tour' of the school, and afterwards we part ways and I won't even glance at you in the hall if you don't want me to," he spoke, his voice low, "so let's just keep this simple."

"Now that pretty much all groups have gotten together, feel free to begin your tours. You can start anywhere around the campus, but be sure to introduce your freshman partner to the ENTIRE building by lunch period."

Daisuke looked up as the red-headed teacher spoke up once more, and focused on him until he was finished with his little speech. Just when he thought it was over, the female teacher, probably the Head, stepped up and said something about mobile phones. His entire expression dropped in the same few seconds that his shoulders sagged. "Aw, man, seriously?" he hissed, his face turning sour with frustration. If there was one thing that Daisuke was the worst at in the entire world, it was remembering phone numbers. That's why he had any important people saved as contacts. He doubted they would've spent the time tracking down the numbers of his friends and family, so the whole 'you can still call your family' thing was completely wasted on him. Angrily, and hesitantly, Daisuke handed his phone to one of the teachers that stood around the room and made his way back to Himeko with a pout tugging at his bottom lip. He had his hands shoved in his pockets.

"I haven't even been here an hour and I already want to bash that woman's head in with something very, very blunt..." he practically growled. "Let's just get this bloody tour over and done with then," he continued, moving out of the hall without waiting for a response.

Himeko noticed the rough feeling of Daisuke's hands, she'd only felt hands like his from one person. Just like..Kazuhiko's.. This thought instantly brought a genuine smile to her face, something she hadn't done in front of Daisuke yet. Though it faded almost as fast as it crossed her features. Once she realized she was smiling, it was almost as if she mentally scolded herself for doing so. The handshake didn't last very long either. Despite being rather high class, she definitely wasn't showing signs of being a very social being, in fact she was rather...awkward. What was supposed to be a welcoming gesture, she saw as an inconvenience. She didn't even look around the room, text, or do anything else most girls her age would be doing. In fact, the only two places her gaze fell was on the faculty and Daisuke. The truth was, she didn't have any friends, mostly because she was never forced to flourish on her own...and who in their right mind would approach a girl with her own body guard?

"I highly doubt I'll need to ask any questions,"

Himeko nodded, a little relieved that he wouldn't be a handful. Her first opinion of the boy made it seem like she was going to have a rough time on her hands, but it seemed she was wrong. It looked as if they would get through the day with minimal conflict. Her violet eyes darted to the stage for a moment, then back to the boy in front of her. She just made eye contact when Daisuke once again reminded her why his presence would complicate her life.

"Formalities are easier, I guess, but you can be any way you want to be, sweetheart."

S-sweetheart...?!?! She thought, completely shocked as her eyes widened for a moment, and the porcelain skin of her cheeks flushed a moderate shade of pink. Though her eyes immediately narrowed afterwards. T-too forward! I need to escap before I say something really bad.. She was mentally panicking, until she was given a reason. Without hesitation, Himeko flipped her hair and strutted off to turn in her phone. She dropped it into a basket full of other phones, seeing as her's already had her name etched into the back. She would have no problem identifying it from the others. She took a small breath before turning back to face her fellow students, making a beeline back to Daisuke, despite his statement before, he was still her partner. Regardless of how uncomfortable he made her, she was stuck with him the entire year.

"I'll stay quiet and follow you for this 'tour' of the school, and afterwards we part ways and I won't even glance at you in the hall if you don't want me to, so let's just keep this simple."

Himeko nodded in agreement, "Of course." She adjusted her bag on her shoulder and stared out the windows. She would start their tour outside, because the weather didn't look like it would hold for very long. It was best to get that part of the tour over with so they wouldn't have to walk in the rain, "I won't judge what you decide to do in your time, as long as it doesn't complicate my life."

"I haven't even been here an hour and I already want to bash that woman's head in with something very, very blunt... Let's just get this bloody tour over and done with then."

She watched Daisuke leave to turn in his phone, and he returned in a much more agitated condition than when he left. She merely smirked and followed behind him as he decided to begin the tour. She caught up to him without resorting to a jog, because it wasn't in her nature to run after anyone. She opened the door, stepping out of the Gymnasium and into the main hall, ushering for him to follow her outside. She started walking to the LEFT side of the building(If you're coming OUT of the building. The right side of the building if you're facing the building about to go inside.), not looking back to see if he was close behind or not.

"This is where we go on clear days for gym. We run the track or play co-ed Soccer." She stated frankly after she was certain Daisuke was with her. She continued, to the back of the school, walking rather quickly. She seemed to be in a rather shaken and unstable mood ever since he'd used the nickname with her, but she kept her promise of keeping things simple. Why did he call me that? Her heart was beating fast and she didn't know why, so she just kept walking. If she kept walking, she didn't have to stop and think about it. Not yet at least.

Daisuke walked at a reasonable pace, allowing Himeko to easily overtake him so that she could lead him around the building. He had his hands stuffed in his pocket and he kept his eyes down most of the time, merely out of boredom. He rarely looked up unless it was absolutely necessary; he managed to catch sight of Himeko as she gestured for him to follow her through the hall, and then out of the building completely. Raising his head, he frowned subtly and braced himself against the breeze. This uniform he'd been given wasn't much good for keeping him warm, even with the blazer. It seemed as if the breeze always found some gap to sneak into. He visibly shivered, but Himeko was ahead of him so she probably wouldn't have even noticed.

"This is where we go on clear days for gym. We run the track or play co-ed Soccer," she said whilst walking, and Daisuke nodded in response, his eyes moving around the surrounding area. He spent a few moments taking it all in and storing it within his memory, though he doubted he would ever be around this area unless he actually had gym. He wasn't exactly bad at sports, per say, but he certainly didn't enjoy it. When he was certain that he'd become familiar with the area to an extent, he finally shifted his gaze back to Himeko as she walked quickly onwards.

Daisuke sensed something weird about how tense things seemed in the past few minutes, even more than unusual. He sighed quietly, and sped up his walk until he was at her side. "If I've offended you, I'm... sorry," he spoke, his voice quiet but not so much that it was at threat of being carried away by the wind. He had said he wouldn't speak much to her when they'd struck a deal, but he felt that something needed to be said about the situation. After spending so much time by his father's side, he'd picked up the habit of saying things without thinking about them beforehand, then feeling bad about those things even if he couldn't really remember them. He tried to think back over the past hour or so, when he'd first entered the building... when he'd first come face-to-face with his partner. Was it because he'd become angry about his phone..? He doubted it, but it was a possibility. There was only really one way for him to find out what it was.

"I'm a little confused though..." he continued, raising a hand to scratch the back of his head sheepishly with an almost unreadable expression of nervousness. "I'm fairly good at reading people, so I know something's bothering you but... I can't think what it was that I said, so would you... would you mind telling me? Then I can apologise properly." It was a long shot, but he couldn't think of anything else to say.

"If I've offended you, I'm... sorry,"

She didn't stop until she reach 'Blank Space' or that's what the students called it at least, seeing as nothing was there except grass until the Culture festivals and carnivals began. She didn't even notice it at first, but Daisuke ended up right next to her. She nearly jumped out of her skin as she heard his voice, turning immediately to face him, "You didn't do anything." She stated rather quick, though her voice wasn't coated with embarrassment, not like her mind was at least. She could feel her fingers trembling, she was getting too nervous and whenever she got in a situation that caused her to get nervous... it always turned out ugly. Think of your grade, think of your grade... She repeated the words in her mind over and over, trying to calm herself down. It never helped to think about the other person's feelings, but now that her grade was on the line... she had an easier time showing restraint. The bad part was, it wasn't like he was extremely close to her or anything, but her sister and Kazuhiko were the only people she allowed this close to her in the first place.. Somehow, she was able to avoid throwing an instinctive insult at Daisuke, but for how long? She was walking on thin ice and biting her tongue every step she took.. this program was her own, personal, hell. What did I do to God to deserve this?

"I'm a little confused though...I'm fairly good at reading people, so I know something's bothering you but... I can't think what it was that I said, so would you... would you mind telling me? Then I can apologize properly."

Image

Her whole body twitched for a few seconds as he attempted to apologize to her. This was a nightmare.. She should have switched schools the second they mentioned this program.. but no, she was an idiot.. and now she had this Freshman poking and prodding at her mentality like a scientist as if she was some new unknown species discovered. What does it matter if he made me uncomfortable? This is homework, like any other assignment! Why did it matter if they got along as long as they passed? She thought they made that perfectly clear earlier during their agreement... She was beginning to get a headache, so she surrendered. If it mattered that much, she'd tell him and get it over with. She just had to make sure that she said it carefully. If she was too honest, she'd sound like an idiot.. and if she wasn't careful, her inner bitch might snap at him. She really was beginning to hate her almost automatic bitchy defense mechanism, "If you really have to know.." She sighed, walking ahead to keep her nerves in check, physical distance always helped. She led him across the path that connected Building C and building B together, and toward the Tennis Court. She needed a moment to pull herself together, her heart was beating a lot faster and her thoughts were beginning to jumble. Once she made it to the court, she pointed along it, giving him a moment to take in the sight, "This is where the Tennis club practices and has their official matches." He never mentioned what clubs he wanted to join, and seeing as it was mandatory to be in a club...she'd just show all of the club sites to him, "Anyway.. It was... I-It was when.." With her back still to Daisuke, her eye began to twitch as she tried to admit what was bothering her. Instantly a blush formed on her cheeks and she shook her head, blurting out her answer before she had time to talk herself out of it, "N-no pet names!" she said it rather quickly, beginning to make her way towards the Park area. She kept her speed around a brisk walk, hoping he'd finally drop the topic. She wasn't prepared to discuss why being called 'sweetheart' made her uncomfortable with a Freshman boy that she'd just met. She really wanted to give the principal a piece of her mind, this whole program was ludicrous. She was so embarrassed that she felt a bit lightheaded, so she took a seat at one of the benches, "This is just a decorative park to hang out at whenever you've got free time, or to do your homework at.."

Daisuke watched Himeko as her body began to twitch, his expression one of wary confusion. He fought the urge to simply turn and walk away, as he often did when he couldn't think of how to overcome awkward situations. His feet stayed firmly in place as his pale eyes analysed her every movement carefully. "If you really have to know.." she finally said, and Daisuke took a slow, steady breath as he waited for her to continue. When she started moving, Daisuke's eyebrow twitched and his eyes stared blankly at her, before he finally forced himself to walk. He caught up pretty quickly, but this time he hung back a bit. The silence was overwhelmingly uncomfortable, but he said nothing... Is she going to say it? he questioned impatiently, feeling the weight of his eyebrows lowering into a subtle, but noticeable, frown.

They walked together for a short while, following a little path that seemed to connect two buildings together. When they finally stopped, they were stood not too far from a Tennis Court of sorts. His eyes drank in the surrounding area and he made a mental image of it so that he could remember it if he needed to. "This is where the Tennis club practices and has their official matches," she told him, and Daisuke nodded to himself, not allowing his eyes to settle on her form. He certainly had no interest in sports activities or clubs, that much he knew, but it couldn't hurt to know where everything was. Tennis, he thought to himself... Yeah right.

Daisuke took his hands out of his pockets, cupped them together and raised them to his mouth to blow some warmth into them as he waited for her to continue talking, or at least walk somewhere else... Preferably inside. He felt the urge to tell her he really didn't care about sports, he wanted to get inside before the cold froze him to the bone. But, like always, he pushed his own problems to one side and focussed on someone else's. "Anyway.. It was... I-It was when.." she said, stumbling on her own words like a child with his shoe laces untied. Daisuke was relieved, at least, to know she hadn't just forgotten about it or ignored the issue completely, as much as he knew she might not want to talk about it. As far as he was concerned, she wasn't a very talkative person.

His eyes focused on the brief shaking of her head before she blurted out, "N-no pet names!" Daisuke's eyes widened, then narrowed in the space of a few seconds. Of course, it was when he'd called her "Sweatheart". At the time, he'd only meant it in a light-hearted manner, but he realised that it was another of those moments when he failed to consider what he was saying might be offensive or just a little bit too forward.

Shortly after, Himeko took off again and Daisuke followed silently behind her, having slipped his hands back into his pockets. They walked to a nearby park and he stared off into space as she took a seat on the bench. "This is just a decorative park to hang out at whenever you've got free time, or to do your homework at.." He simply nodded, dragging his eyes back down to Himeko. He felt terrible, to say the least, and he wanted nothing more than to explain that he meant nothing by it, to apologise meaningfully, but the words would not come out. He turned around, feeling his fingers curling into his palms inside of his blazer pockets. His eyes scanned the park, but his mind would not let him remember it... It was little more than a blank space to him now. "Right, no pet names," he agreed in a quiet voice, remembering the words she had blurted out not too long before.

Daisuke turned only his head to her, but the gaze did not settle as he immediately turned it back around. I'm such an idiot, he thought to himself, watching the gloomy sky with a distant gaze. Then suddenly, without a hint of warning, his mouth open and a series of words poured out before he could even stop them. "I'm not one for boundaries, it seems," he admitted, his voice picking up in volume so that she could hear him clearly. He had to continue; he'd already begun digging the hole, might as well give himself a little leg room. "I'll be sure to keep my bad habits to myself from now on." With a huff of breath, he clapped both hands together once, then turned. "Let's move on from this, shall we?"

He figured it would be better for both of them to just let it go, even though he'd been the one to continue the conversation after she'd walked away. He gave her what he assumed was a reassuring smile, but what might've actually been something a little more shaky and awkward. "Right, next on the tour list is..? Somewhere inside, I hope?"

"Right, no pet names, I'm not one for boundaries, it seems,"

Himeko almost laughed at this, but shook her head instead, "My entire life has been surrounded by boundaries." She said in a soft tone, unsure whether or not he heard it, but she was more or less speaking to herself anyway. She wasn't looking for his pity, in fact the words came out before she could even attempt to bite them back. Her thoughts slipped across her tongue almost simultaneously as they crossed her mind. Though thankfully Daisuke kept talking, she doubted he caught her slip of the tongue, so it was not worth making herself worry.

"I'll be sure to keep my bad habits to myself from now on. Let's move on from this, shall we?"

"Of course." She tried to think of a logical way to approach the layout, and seeing as they'd head to lunch when the tours ended, she decided to work her way back to building A. She set her sights on building C, and nodded to him. She'd do her best to not let her mind venture back to their awkward encounter earlier. It was best to just avoid it and stick to their arrangement. It was easier to just be formal and be a tour guide. As long as they got along, it didn't matter if they became friends or not.. Besides, Kazuhiko is my only true friend.. No one else understands... well... no one else knows... Though what am I supposed to tell people? I was never given affection, therefore it makes me uncomfortable... How do you just open up and tell people things like that..? She thought to herself, kind of distressed by this forced arrangement. The whole process of being forced to talk to a stranger was exhausting and stressful. This went against her entire lifestyle thus far, it was scary to be honest. Her anxiety was through the roof, despite the relatively calm expression she kept.

"Right, next on the tour list is..? Somewhere inside, I hope?"

Himeko nodded, a faint smile on her face. She stood, dusting off her uniform and smoothing out the wrinkles before continuing, ushering for him to follow her with her hand. She didn't say anything, not until they made it to building C, then she turned to face him, "What clubs are you interested in? This building is solely for the Kendo and Judo clubs. If you're not interested in them, we can continue inside to building B. I'll go ahead and inform you; All students MUST participate in one club at the minimum." She stated matter-of-factly, but the air around them wasn't quite as awkward as before.

"It would be easier to know what clubs you want to join, we'll finish much quicker if I know what rooms to emphasize." She admitted outside of building C, seeing as they never discussed clubs before now. Though he was right, the weather outside was growing bad, and she wanted to get inside soon as well. The oncoming rain was making it pretty chilly outside. Not to mention she was growing rather thirsty. She was pacing around the grounds trying to make good time, but she wasn't an athletic girl, at all. In fact, she was rather frail. She would probably go to her dorm and pass out after today was over. She wouldn't get unpacked very well, at least not tonight, "Also I think we should stop at a vending machine in Building B. I'm rather thirsty."

Daisuke watched Himeko as she stood, his eyes drawn to the faint smile she held on her lips. He had a feeling there was no sincerity behind it, but it was reassuring nonetheless. By this point, his own smile had dropped but his expression overall was calm. They began walking again, towards one of the buildings on the school site. As they neared, he looked up and chewed his bottom lip unconsciously, scarcely noticing that she had turned to face him. "What clubs are you interested in? This building is solely for the Kendo and Judo clubs. If you're not interested in them, we can continue inside to building B. I'll go ahead and inform you; All students MUST participate in one club at the minimum." He shifted his gaze towards her without hurry, but his thoughts were racing around inside his head. He hadn't even considered the idea that he'd have to participate in a club of some sort, but his father had talked through them with him on the car ride to the school just in case. If he remembered correctly, there was nothing he'd be interested in... nothing that he was really good at.

"It would be easier to know what clubs you want to join, we'll finish much quicker if I know what rooms to emphasize," she continued, and Daisuke nodded without really saying anything. He was desperately trying to think of which club would require the least amount of effort on his part. He hadn't even realised how much heat had risen in his cheeks as he become more flustered in this awkward situation. "Also I think we should stop at a vending machine in Building B. I'm rather thirsty." Daisuke looked towards the building once more. "Yes, of course," he replied, kicking a loose pebble on the path with the toe of his shoe.

"Clubs..." he mumbled under his breath as he focused on his shoes. "There are no clubs for my... particular skills. I draw, I write... I don't do kendo, judo, basketball, tennis... Band/Choir and Drama/Theatre are so not my thing. Cheerleading. Pfft, yeah right." In frustration, he kicked the path, not lifting his gaze for a moment. He couldn't understand why the clubs were so limited, but he would have to make his peace with it if he wanted to pass this year. "If I had to pick," he continued, it would probably be judo... I've got the strength for it, I guess." That decides it then, he thought, judo... At the end of the day, at least he'd made a choice. He was far from pleased, however.

"I'll remember this building, I don't need to look at an empty hall," he mumbled, walking away from the building and Himeko, but he paused briefly to make sure she was still walking with him and to perhaps allow her to take the lead. "To the vending machine, then," he stated. The possibility of visiting a vending machine was probably the only thing he had to look forward to. It was then that he realised he hadn't even eaten breakfast, so he'd probably have to get a snack of some sort. "I don't suppose you're in any sports clubs, huh?" he spoke, his voice cleared of all signs of irritation. "No, you're probably in Band/Choir, right? Or that other one... Drama, is it?" He shot her a smile, although it was brief.

"There are no clubs for my... particular skills. I draw, I write... I don't do Kendo, Judo, Basketball, Tennis... Band/Choir and Drama/Theatre are so not my thing. Cheerleading. Pfft, yeah right."

"I thought you'd pick cheerleading to be honest." She replied with a straight face. She wasn't serious, actually this was sort of Himeko's way of trying throw friendly teasing his way, but her face definitely didn't give any indication of her intents. The words came out faster than she could deny herself the right to say them. This was the habit that got her isolated from her peers. She would say things like that, without her face giving a sign that she was playing around, nor would she justify herself. If people took her words the wrong way, they obviously weren't worth her time... Though she regretted being so stern and cold in the end, "I enjoy painting, but the art club isn't considered a true club. It doesn't have enough members..." to be honest she wanted to have a lot of friends, it just wasn't in her nature to be expressive and play like most others her age. The only person she knew who could take her remarks with stride was Kazuhiko and her father.. It really was what kept her from trying with others. People were....too sensitive to insults. She wouldn't insult someone unless it was true or a joke, but it was hard to tell when she was joking due to her calm and almost perpetually serious demeanor. He's probably the same as everyone else. Que yelling and bad grade on this assignment...now

"If I had to pick, it would probably be Judo... I've got the strength for it, I guess."

Himeko nodded, giggling a bit. What was his intention telling her that he had the strength for Judo? She wasn't sure if it was said under harmless intentions or not, but either way it came across as sort of bragging, like flexing his muscles in front of girls. She didn't say anything about it though, seeing as it wasn't her concern, nor did she particularly mind, in fact she found it a bit funny.

"I'll remember this building, I don't need to look at an empty hall."

She wasn't sure what was bothering him, perhaps the lack of interest in the clubs, or the lack of a club that suits him, or maybe it was something else, but she didn't think on it too long. It wasn't her problem, and it would only complicate things again if she asked. Though, she had to agree that viewing the Judo and Kendo rooms would waste valuable time.

"To the vending machine, then,"

She nodded her head, following slightly behind him as they made their way to building B. They entered it through the back entrance, right where the vending machines were placed. There were a set of stairs in the area that led up to the second floor as well. The amount of vending machines on this campus was alarming, but she wasn't complaining right now. She was very parched from all the walking, not to mention her legs were aching. She didn't do this much constant walking most days. I wonder how obvious it is that I'm getting tired...? He's not as difficult as I thought he'd be.. but I am not built for this much walking..

"I don't suppose you're in any sports clubs, huh?"

She twitched a bit, her pride a little wounded. Was it so obvious she wasn't into sports? Probably, but still hearing it out loud was a bit of a punch to her pride. She wasn't good at sports, and even failed during gym class.. She was glad points were only based on participation in Gym, not accuracy and ability... otherwise, her GPA would struggle for it, "No, I'm not in a sports club. I'm not very good at athletics, which is apparently obvious." She replied back, a forced smile on her face. It was kind of embarrassing, but she didn't mind. She didn't like getting dirty and bruised anyway, sports just weren't her thing. She didn't like physical contact, and that's all sports meant. She didn't want to touch people, and in Band she didn't have to, and depending on her role in Theater, she might not have to then either.

"No, you're probably in Band/Choir, right? Or that other one... Drama, is it?"

"Right on the mark. I am in both..." She replied, approaching the vending machines and pulling out her purple wallet. The odd thing about this it was in the shape of a cat head, which was highly contradictive, due to the fact she absolutely hates cats. pulling out a few bills, "Do you want anything? If so, just pick something out, my treat."[/color][/b] She then went on to put money inside the machine, picking out a bottle of water, clicking it's button and pulling it out of the dispensary. She opened it, taking a drink before tilting her head at him afterwards, happy to have quenched her thirst, but also wanting to get this show on the road. They had two whole buildings to explore, and only had about two hours left, "Did you figure out what you'd like? We shoud get a move on, we've only got two hours to go through both buildings.."

Daisuke noticed that they were slowly approaching the vending machine, but he kept his focus on Himeko, awaiting an answer as they walked. "Right on the mark. I am in both..." she replied and Daisuke smiled faintly whilst nodded his head. Should've figured, he thought, his gaze travelling over her individual facial features. She looks tired, he continued, fighting the urge to say something aloud afterwards. He only held his tongue because he didn't want to have to repeat their earlier 'argument' on getting too close. However, despite knowing it was a bad idea, he had the strangest urge to reach out and touch her cheek. He hadn't even realised that his face had settled into a rather serious frown. "Theatre and Band... Interesting," he finally said as she seemed to be searching for something.

Daisuke thought his mood had been dampened quite severely over the course of the tour, especially regarding the confiscation of his phone, but when Himeko pulled out that little cat purse his spirits were lifted and he fought back a bark of laughter. Instead, he merely snorted and his cheeks blushed red with the effort not to comment. How uncharacteristic of you, he almost said. Instead, he simply stared at it in her hand. "Do you want anything? If so, just pick something out, my treat." He shook his head and peered up at the vending machine, browsing the choices. There was nothing of immediate interest in there anyway, but the least appealing thing about it was that a girl just offered to buy him something. The idea of it made him feel oddly emasculated, as he'd spent his entire life with a father teaching him that men were to take the lead role in any situation, and that he should always be chivalrous; opening doors, pulling out chairs... It all seemed so important, though the school hadn't really seemed to take that into consideration when they assigned him a female tour guide.

"Did you figure out what you'd like? We shoud get a move on, we've only got two hours to go through both buildings.." she finally said after taking a drink, the sight of which causing him to look at the ground. Strangely enough, the cat purse had put him in a rather pleasant mood and so, when he could've made a snarky comment, he instead looked up at her with a decent smile plastered onto his lips, and eyes that were unusually bright. "Nah, if there's only two hours until lunch then I can probably hang on. Besides, it wouldn't feel right taking a lady's money." Stepping to one side and thrusting his arm out, he gestured for her to lead him around once more. "I think we should probably focus on the classrooms first and foremost," he continued, "If worse comes to worst, I'll simply figure out the dorm rooms for myself." In reality, he was looking forward to being shown his room more than anything, but he felt that the classrooms were more complicated and much more necessary.

When he began walking again, he finally took the chance to chuckle lightly. "That cat purse... I'm guessing it was a gift?"

"No.."

Akira was relieved when the dark haired girl shook her head, glad that she was getting information across clearly to the girl. Akira never was skilled in public speaking so she was surprised that she wasn't making a fool of herself by now. Though she would take this as a small win.

"You are explaining things very clearly.."

Although the girl had a serious air about her, this stroked Akira's ego and she was suddenly more excited for this tour than she should have been. Akira didn't have a lot of close friends, so it was nice having someone to talk to at the moment. If classes had went on as usual Akira definitely wouldn't have been having as much fun... She'd have no one to talk to while the boring teachers blabbed on about lessons she didn't really care about. It was sad... but school simply bored the hell of her. She struggled with self-studying because she would frequently fall asleep while attempting to work through problems at her desk.

"Yes, that would be nice.. I need extra help about that part of the school.."

Akira nodded her head and led Rin out of the classroom wing, and led her outside, removing her coat when she realized the weather was getting bad. She handed it to Rin, smiling to the long haired girl, "Just in case it rains.. I wouldn't want you to get wet or catch a cold on me." she smiled charismatically. It honestly wasn't as flirtatious as it came across, she honestly was just worried about getting her partner sick... That wouldn't do well as far as developing their relationship as partners went. It was caring, but it was also a social call as well.

-Timeskip-
(ALL students make your way to Lunch. It's time to get a move on. ALL tours should be concluded in your next post.)

Akira had shown Rin all around buidling B. They saw the library, the pool, the gym where the basketball and cheerleading squad practiced, the drama classroom and both music rooms. She even got to show her where the tennis court was located, they walked through the park, cut over to the other side of the buildings and walked by the soccer field and track course and she even showed her the blank space of land where students would put up their tents and kiosks whenever festivals or carnivals were held at the school. She gave her a decent tour of the school, but they never got to touch Building C. Though the girl mentioned nothing about Judo or Kendo, so Akira assumed it was alright to not visit them. It shouldn't hurt my score too much, right?

"Sorry that I couldn't show you building C....Only the Kendo and Judo practice rooms are located there though... Also the dorms are on the upper floors of building A, the building where we started and are currently going back to.." Akira laughed, tugging Rin along a little seeing as it was beginning to pour the rain. Akira could feel the drops of water hitting her hair, glad that she'd given Rin her jacket because otherwise the poor girl would have been soaked by the time they reach building A. With a sigh and a shake of her short wet hair, Akira held the door open for Rin, tugging at her wet tie. It was irritating because it was starting to rub her neck raw so she loosened it a bit.

Once Rin walked in, she followed behind her, shoving her hands in her pocket. She held out her hand to accept her probably soaked jacket, but she was okay with it... She was a 'guy' after all...if she would have allowed Rin to get wet instead it would been seen as socially unacceptable... besides, she did feel a certain obligation to watch out for the girl. Something told her she was more fragile than she let on, or perhaps she just assumed it to be true because she was also a girl and understood how lonely the 'tough' act could be at times. Either way... She planned to look out for Rin regardless of if she was still getting graded.

"Feel free to come by my dorm if you need anything. I won't let the other guys say anything out of the way to you, I promise." she shot Rin a thumbs up, a confident smirk on Akira's face... though she still wasn't sure who her dorm mates were considering she never got the chance to stop by the dorm rooms.. but it was lunch time now and she was SO grateful. Her stomach instantly growled at the smell of food, "The lunch line food is free to all students, so come on Rin-chan. Let's get in line and eat~" She chimed, obviously very excited to eat. Akira absolutely loved food, almost every kind of food, except for chocolate considering her deadly allergy to the crap. She gave a warm smile before ushering for the girl to follow her and join her in line. She was allowing the girl her own personal space now, no longer clinging to her hand, but Akira made a habit of looking back every once in a while to make sure that nobody was bothering her. To onlookers, Akira was coming across as a protective makeshift older brother... or perhaps a love interest, depending on perspective... Though Akira wasn't interested in girls... none of her classmates knew that, because she appeared to be a guy...so they'd automatically assume she liked girls.. I guess it's okay having a girl partner...at least she isn't falling for me. Maybe we could become friends?

"I think we should probably focus on the classrooms first and foremost. If worse comes to worst, I'll simply figure out the dorm rooms for myself."

"Of course... but I plan to finish the tour. The rooms to our left Are the showers, but the third door down on the left is the Doctor's office. That's where you would go if you're hurt or feeling under the weather.." She replied to him, then proceeded ahead of him, pointing out the rooms on the right. The smell of chlorine became prominent as they grew closer to the pool room. She pointed to the first door, then the second and finally the last, "In order it goes; Library, pool, gymnasium. We have Study hall in the library on Fridays instead of gym class and Swimming class replaces Gym on Tuesdays as well.." Then she ushered for him to follow her up the stairs. She held onto the railing, seeing as she was feeling rather tired already. This was more exercise than she wanted to participate in...Honestly she felt like passing out, but she had to press on for the sake of her grade. She wasn't getting low marks because she failed to be a good tour guide. Once at the top of the stairs, Himeko paused for a moment to catch her breath before showing him the classrooms located there, "On the left we have the Girl's changing room, the costume and prop storage room, the Boy's changing room, and a supply closet.... To the right in order we have the Music room that is solely for club activities, then there is the Drama club room, and the music room that replaces gym on Thursdays is at the far right." Then she leaned against the wall to rest for a second. Though she didn't give herself long to rest, she had a responsibility to fulfill and she planned to do it. She began her descent down the stairs, looking back once she was at the bottom awaiting Daisuke. One more building and they were done. Dorms, classrooms, and done.

"That cat purse... I'm guessing it was a gift?"

"Yeah... My dad... He tries, but he's not very good at understanding girls.. but I didn't have the heart to tell him that the present was lame. It's become a habit of carrying it around, he seems to smile more when he sees me with it." She shrugged, not really understanding why it would make her father happy to know his daughter used his present daily, because she never really got presents as a child... Her mother never purchased any for Himeko when her father was away. Receiving presents was awkward, she wasn't sure how to respond... because most of the time she ended up hating them, or simply not caring for them either way. It was exhausting trying to please those around her.. She wasn't sure how to act 'normal', because society's normal was her definition of 'strange'. Then her eyes widened as they landed on the club activities sheet...

"Uhm... I apparently gave you a bit of wrong information, I forgot that everyone must join two clubs... That's how I ended up choosing theater... I hate theater... I should have remembered when you asked what clubs I am in.. but I suppose it slipped my mind. You'll have to choose a second other than Judo... Gomenasai." She replied, her Russian accent coming on thick as she got nervous. Though she led him out of bulding B, and across the short path that brought them to the Gymnasium where they first met. They didn't have a lot of time, so she waved her hand for him to keep up. If they kept up the pace, they might actually make it.

She opened the doors and grabbed him by the wrist, not the hand. She was being as informal as possible, but as the deadline grew closer, she broke her rules a bit more to get the job done. She seemed to take responsibility....very seriously. She opened the door that led to the wing that held the classrooms, speedily dragging him along. The doors were labeled 'Mathematics', 'History', 'English', and 'Biology / Chemistry lab'. She really didn't have to speak, and didn't do so since class was still in session for their upperclassmen. She quietly led him out, walking much slower, but still holding his wrist to keep his pace close to her own. All that was left was the dorms and she would have succeeded.

She did not hesitate to bring him back to the foyer. Her breathing was a bit heavier, but she seemed fairly determined to meet the expectations that the principal had set for the teams....despite how much she hated that bitch of a scientist. She led him to the stairwell in the main hall and slowly made her way up the stairs. She led him to the second floor of building A, and showed him to her dorm room which she would be sharing with one other girl... Cassiopeia... Apparently they were an anomaly. They were the only dorm with two people but the boys had an anomaly as well, one dorm had four boys...it was strange.. Though she was fine with her dorm's anomaly... the less people the better.

She took no time in progressing on to the third floor, making a beeline for his dorm room, eyes scanning each door until she found it and finally released his hand, "Looks like your roommates are... Kaoru Inoue, and Daniel Trist." She stated, letting out a relieved sigh. They completed the tour. He'd see the lunchroom after the bell rang so it would be okay..

Himeko finally collapsed onto the carpeted floor of the upstairs hallway. She landed on her butt, but she was still exhausted. She took a drink of her bottled water, but she was absolutely exhausted. She was not the type that was physically cut out for time limited tours. Her legs ached so bad.. She was going to be sore for a while... but school was merciless... Just as she finished the tour, not even a few seconds after she took a drink of water, the bell rang. It was lunch time and students would start flooding the cafeteria, "T-times up... You're not obligated to talk to me anymore." She was out of breath, but laughed a bit anyway. She was definitely exhausted, because she was acting more casual than she'd allowed herself prior. There was no way she was going to try and get up either. Himeko knew her limits.... she knew that if she tried to brave the stairs that she'd fall down them. If she tried to push herself any harder she'd only get hurt and make a fool of herself. She expelled all of her energy making sure that she'd shown him the entire school, "My legs hurt so I'm not going to the Cafeteria. I guess this is goodbye for today. Oh.. and I apologize for dragging you around, I just hate people who don't finish what they start... I wasn't about to be a hypocrite.." She didn't seem too bothered by it, instead she leaned her head sideways so it leaned against the wall beside her and she closed her eyes, allowing herself to relax for the first time in front of him. If she hadn't just closed her eyes, it could have been argued that she was asleep she was so comfortable. She was just way too tired to care what he thought of her behavior at the moment... so she dropped her inhibitions for the time being.
