|| Personality ||
One's first impression of Setsuna would probably be that she is rather civil, polite, and somewhat entrancing, especially when looking into her eyes. No one would guess that this sweet woman, could hold such a dark and cruel past. Setsuna is in fact a tender and gentle person toward humans and demons, always showing a simple smile even when upset. Very quiet, quite absent-minded, and extremely timid. Usually staring at the sky, as if she is looking at something, causing her to have the expression of one who is mentally and physical exhausted. She randomly sings a song when she is happy, and acts rather childish when around people she likes. Setsuna has a peaceful soul, never giving in to arguments or threats. She is constantly seen with loving eyes, never showing hatred toward a single soul, human or demon. This isn't to say Setsuna can't fight, in fact when angered Setsuna reveals her Demon side which is quite terrifying and ruthless. This side of herself, scares Setsuna to no end, so she hides it deep in herself. It isn't to say that she doesn't think fighting is unnecessary, she just believes there are other ways to solve a problem; fighting being the last resort. Setsuna is a passionate and hard-working individual, although Tamotsu has warned her about being too naive at times, Setsuna still chooses to be extremely trusting of others; always giving them the benefit of the doubt, believing that there is good in everyone.

It is an understatement to say that Setsuna simply knows things -- she is very wise and knowledgeable on the topics of human and demon nature and behavior, as well as the presence of fate and inevitability in a person's life. She believes that we are all here for a reason, and that every encounter we face is for a reason. Setsuna also believes that if someone believes something is so, then it is so, according to them. Your own definition of happiness. Your own definitions of good versus evil. Everybody is different, and therefore there will be conflicting opinions and views. Often, she can become rather serious, especially in situations that genuinely disgust or disappoint her. But overall, Setsuna is someone who truly cares for human and demon life, and believes that both of them are important in their own way.

|| Weaknesses ||
Large Fires || Since Setsuna was little she has feared large fires, the reason is unknown, but it has something to do with her past.

Caring || She is also to caring, usually putting others before herself, which decreases her health.

Blood || She doesn't do well with to much blood, she can handle a little, but if it is just blood everywhere and bodies lying on the ground she starts to freak out silently, because she starts to remember her past.

Her Ability || Another weakness is Setsuna's ability to see someone's past and future. Though there are benefits to be able to see someone's past, it is painful and quite stressful to be able to see the future yet have no control over what happens. Only being able to silently watch the Deaths and screams of others as her predictions come true. You can tell she is seeing the future whenever her eyes start to change.

Naive || Her naivete is yet another weakness, as she has to great of a trust in others, willing to bear their sins upon herself.

|| Skills ||
Setsuna has amazing flexibility, strength, and precision due to her upbringing she has mastered many forms of art: Japanese Dance, Flower arranging, Singing, Sword Fighting, Defense, and many more. Though when it comes to her combat skills, she forbids herself from using them. This is why Tomatsu takes care of all the fighting, in her place.

Because of her Oni blood she has Regenerative healing, which allows her to heal wounds in seconds. Though because of Setsuna's not so wonderful health, this ability effects her body, so she can feel the pain even when it is healing.

Thanks to her Mother's side, Setsuna has the ability to control snow and ice, due to her having Yuki Onna blood. Though she never uses her abilities to harm anyone, usually only using her ability when she wants it to snow around her {Which she does all the time}.

Setsuna has another special power, passed down from her Father's side, which befalls every first born child, the ability to see someones past and future. Though this ability is powerful, it is extremely stressful whenever Setsuna uses it, not just because of the pain, but because she is unable to do anything about the visions she sees. It isn't to say that she can't change something she sees, but it is just that throughout the years she has gained her powers, she had learnt that you can't change someone's future, because it doesn't just affect them; it affects everyone. Though many people believe this to be a gift, the owners of this power understand that one with this power has hands stained with the blood of guilty and innocent souls, depending on their choices. And with such a powerful gift, it almost always comes with a great sacrifice, and that sacrifice is Setsuna's body. The power of seeing drains energy from her body, causing the pain to see amplify, rather she uses he powers on purpose or not.

|| Biography ||
Sakura Yamata was a powerful Yuki Onna, who lived in the village of Yukimura. She was quiet and distant, cold to everyone who was in her presence. Though beautiful the village, believed it was a good idea to leave her be, but there was one who didn't listen to the warning. The first born child of the Yukimura Head, Akasora Yukimura. He had set his sights on the beautiful Yuki Onna, and took action. Everyday being shout down, and frozen by Sakura, literally. It was hard at times, but he never gave up, believing his love for Sakura was stronger than her hate for him. And as the months went on, Sakura's cold eyes started to soften toward Akasora. Soon they married, and it wasn't to long till Akasora became the new Head of the Yukimura. As the Head of the Yukimura, one must have an heir, no matter what. The Yukimura didn't look well upon a leader who could not produce a child.

It had been five years since his reign and no heir was given to the urging clan. You see the Sakura was believed to be barren, and like a storm the hearts of the clan filled with despair, as they knew who would be next in line, Shino Yukimura, the second son to the previous Head and Akasora's little brother. Shino was a ruthless and cold-hearted Oni, bitter toward his Brother, he could care less for his happiness. He was said to be a product of an affair with the Head and another Oni, making him and Akasora half brothers.

After a while all hope was lost within the clan, in despair Sakura and Akasora were about to give up, but days later was meet with a miracle. Sakura was announced pregnant to the whole clan. It was a joyous moment, but also one filled with anxiety. During the time of the pregnancy Sakura was kept in a special area,, hidden away so no one could harm her or the child. It was the day when the first snowfall looked like Sakura petals dropping from the skies, and therefore, the new heir was named Setsuna, "Clam Snow". The people overjoyed with happiness, there was a five day celebration for the birth of Setsuna.

Since the beginning Setsuna was a kind child who would always wear a bright smile. Greatly loved by her parents, she was sheltered from the world that surrounded her, being showered with sweet words and gentle eyes. Everything seemed to be falling in line for the Yukimura Family, but one thing still lurked in the darkness. Setsuna was without an ability. It would have been okay if she inherited at least her Mother's snow powers, but she didn't. And one who has been born from the Yukimura blood must inherit a power at birth, usually the first born receiving both the parents powers, an the others one. Though nothing was said, worry still sat in the hearts of the people and her Parents.

It was know Setsuna's seventh birthday; a huge celebration was thrown in her honor with all the higher ups. As they all sat around a table eating, it was than that Shino made his move,"Congratulations Brother, on your daughter's seventh birthday!"

He raised a glass toward Akasora, as he was seated next to his wife and Setsuna. Smiling happily; he raised his glass along with Shino's, than soon began to drink. Once all was quiet Akasora was proposed a question, by Shino, that shook the entire room,"So Brother...does this young one have her 'eyesight' yet?"

No more words could be heard, as the room became silent and eerie. All eyes were on Akasora and his daughter. Quickly he brought Setsuna closer to him, "Why do you ask such a question, Brother?" He said this in a cold and demanding voice, leaving no room for lies. Shino smiled innocently as he looked from Akasora to the little Oni, who was clinging tightly on to her Father's sleeve.

"I was just worried Brother...isn't this the first time in three hundred years that a child from the Yukimura hasn't obtained their 'eyesight' or her Mother's ability? Setsuna is now seven, so I am just wondering...if she even has an ability...maybe you should send her to that room in the Main House?" Outraged the entire room burst with words;Akasora's personal guard was about to fuss out Shino, when she was stopped by Akasora. He sat there silently; no one dared to speak a word or even breath, in fear of what was going to happen next.

Akasora looked at the small child, who seemed oblivious to the whole matter. He held her closely and looked over at Shino, who was still smiling, "If that is what you wish...I shall send Setsuna to that room."

The whole room was in an uproar, people surround Akasora leaving no room for him to speak anymore. "This is my decision!" Once he spoke everyone steeped back, except Sakura.

"No! You can't take Setsuna!", she held Setsuna tightly to herself, and trembled slightly. Akasora touched her cheek and smiled sadly," Please...Sakura not know...let go of Setsuna." Sakura was reluctant, her stubbornness lasted until after the party. Finally, after great convincing Setsuna was able to leave for the main house.

Setsuna was brought to the Main house, unaware of what she was about to happen, she happily held onto her parents hands laughing and smiling like normal. It wasn't until her Mother released her grip, that Setsuna became shocked. Her Mother had stopped at the entrance, and it was know just her Father and herself, walked down the hallway covered with red. Setsuna looked up at her Father who showed no sign of emotion on his face and asked,"Daddy, where are we going?"

They froze in front of a black door; Setsuna held tightly onto her father's hand. She started to back away, though her Father pushed her closer to the door. He bent down on one knee and looked Setsuna in the eyes,"Listen, Setsuna...you are to stay here for a while."

Setsuna tilted her head in confusion, as she couldn't comprehend what was going on,"What do you mean? Are you coming with me?" Her Father looked at her, still holding no expression on his face, he stared her in the eyes,"Setsuna, you must listen. Once you enter that room, you will become a true Yukimura. Do you understand? In that room you must go alone."

Setsuna was hesitant as she remembered the argument which her Father and Mother had earlier. So they were fighting about this? Setsuna nodded to her Father,"...I understand." It was than the two doors opened and Setsuna could peer inside. It was difficult see as the room was too dark. He Father moved back, as Setsuna moved forward slowly. Once she entered the room, she was surrounded by darkness, no windows and no source of light, but the one which was toward her Father. She could only stare as her Father closed the two doors leaving her alone. It wasn't until one week later that they came back for Setsuna.

That Room...was created by the 6th Head of the Yukimura for his son the 7th, because he was unable to receive any abilities. The room was created by the 6th's darkness and light ability, one stronger than anything anyone has seen. It was stated that someone with abilities must never enter this room, because it was and still is too dangerous for them. This room was specifically made to force the abilities out of the Oni, here the rules of the clan did not stand. Killing and mindless bloodshed was only two ways this room draws out the power of the new heir. This is all done by an old and eerie spirit that lurks around, which forces the ability out of the one inside, by forcing the young one to protect him or herself from the torture inside...and if failed to protect yourself...you will die. After the use of the 7th many others attempted to enter the room to gain more power or at least figure out what happens inside the room; all ended up dead. Therefore it was announced that the Main House was forbid territory, including that room, which was inside. And only the Head and their heir can enter it with permission.

As promised Sakura waited one week for her daughters ceremony to be completed. She hurried joyfully to she her young daughter once again, with Akasora right beside her, and his ninja behind them. She stood at the entrance, as her Husband walked past her into the main house. Sakura was overwhelmed with impatience, she desired to hold Setsuna in her arms once more. Sakura heard footsteps coming from the main house, and started to smile brightly as she saw her husband coming out. Akasora's personal bodyguard was standing behind Sakura; silently looking at the expression that was on her Master's face,"Something is wrong."

Akasora was rushing out the Main house, "Call for the Healers and Elders! Hurry! Setsuna. Setsuna isn't coming out!" Struck with despair Sakura ignored all the rules and sprinted toward the two black doors, to that room. Akasora was unable to stop, because she was to fast. He cursed under his breath, and commanded his ninja to call for the elders and healers; quickly she left to fulfill her assignment and Akasora rushed into the main house to stop his wife.

Sakura arrived at the black doors, and without hesitation she opened them up,"Setsuna!" She called out with all her might, but she was given no answer."Setsuna?" Once again she called for the child, but was given no answer. She knew it was forbidden for her to enter the room, but Sakura desired to see Setsuna again.

Slowly she entered the room, blinded by darkness she could see no one, but a soft breath could be heard on a far corner. Sakura rushed toward the sound of rigid and exhausted breaths, and as she came closer and closer she could see a glowing pair of eyes. Magenta within blue, the ability of the Yukimura clan. She quickly rushed toward the pair of eyes, and held the small creature in her arms,"Setsuna!" Setsuna could not hear her Mother's desperate cries, as she was drained from her abilities. And yet another vision came to Setsuna, as many have since she has been in this dark room. She saw something that woke her up without hesitation, the death of her parents in this room. Her eyes turned back to brown,"Mother?"

Sakura cried out with joy, wrapping her arms around Setsuna tightly,"Setsuna!" Setsuna was comforted by her Mother's coldness, and relaxed in her embrace. Suddenly she heard the footsteps of that thing...the keeper of the room. "Mother! We must get out! We must hurry! Or you will be killed!" Setsuna used all her strength to stand up,and pulled on his mother's arm. Finally Sakura stood up and they raced to the door, but without warning Sakura let out a blood curling scream. Setsuna frozen, turned around and there she saw the very image she tried to prevent.

All feeling left Setsuna's legs, and she started to throw up, tears fell from her eyes as she looked upon her dead Mother. "No. No!" Filled with despair she raced to the door to prevent her vision from going any farther, to stop her Father from entering. But she wasn't quick enough as he too had entered, and awaiting at the entrance were his Brother, half of the Elders, and half of the Healers. Setsuna cried out for him to stop, but once again was to late. There she watched her Father die in front of her. All the Elders and Healers screamed out at their Leader's death. Setsuna could no longer move and sank to the floor.

Blood slipped through the creaks on the floor, and thanks to the light of the open door, Setsuna could see it surround her. And at that moment, after seeing her parents blood something in her snapped. And a large snow storm over took the main house and everyone inside, the whole village was at a standstill that day as they heard the violent cries of young Setsuna.

Since that day Setsuna has never been the same, the very eyes that had been filled with life, has none left. She now looks mentally and physically exhausted, whenever one stares at her, but she still is the same peaceful and gentle soul, that went into that room, the day of her seventh birthday. She is now the head of the Yukimura, and the sole survivor of the great snowstorm that plagued the Main House. Since everyone inside is dead, including her Uncle, the Healers, and Elders that had been inside, Setsuna is the only one who knows the whole story of what happened. Yet she refuses to speak of it, keeping the whole story silent. The only one she has ever told the story to was her faithful ninja Tomatsu, who is able to bring the smile back to Setsuna's face.

The first thing that entered his mind, was that he was hungry, so naturally he had stopped by a shop for a quick sip of tea and food. He had wandered away from Takeshi a while back, deciding they would meet up later. After all, it had been two weeks since they left for Kyoto together...and honestly, he was to tired to deal with the man's blood-thirsty actions. On their way back, they had run into some bandits. Takaya wanted to negotiate with them, but his partner had other plans. He had just cut them down quickly. Then they continued on.

As he sat and waited for his order, a drunkard had wandered into the shop, much to his disgust. He wrinkled his nose slightly, and silently hoped the man would just leave or pass out. He was wrong though, like always. The man released a sigh and stood up and walked toward the drunkard who was currently hitting on the poor waitress.

The next thing that happened, the tatami door flew down and the one who knocked it over? The drunkard's body. The man stood up, wiping his mouth a flush still evident on his face as he looked up at Takaya. He walked out calmly, back into the Edo heat. Despite what most people thought, he was quite comfortable in his attire, despite it looking to hot for the day. The man spoke, a slur evident in his voice.

"Hey youz...W-why the hell didja' do dat for?!"

The shichitou member remained quiet, his blue eyes narrowing towards the man. He didn't respond, choosing not to waste his breath on people like him. With a sigh, he placed his hand on the hilt of his sword. It was just an intimidation act, since he wouldn't draw it for no reason. Using his other hand, it slid partly the katana, it's silver blade reflecting the light of the harsh sun toward the man.

The man paled, easily shown on his flush face. Quickly, he got p, before stammering a slurred apology and ran off the other direction. Takaya watched for a few moments, before turning back into the shop and returning to his seat. The owner thanked him, and he nodded in return before sipping his tea calmly. He was still hungry after all, and started to eat the mitarashi dangos that waited for him at the table.

"Oh!" Yuji exclaimed as he saw a beautiful looking sake bottle on a stand. It looked... well... authentic, just from the appearance. It was in a lovely black bottle with nothing but the name of the sake's brand circling around it. Yuji was a sucker for alcohol, especially for sake, and especially for pretty looking sake, "This one looks cool!" He said childishly.

While picking up the bottle, taking note of the owner staring at him the whole time, he turned and shouted, "Hey! Sakurai! Look! It's sake!" By the way he looked, anyone could tell how excited Yuji was to get that beautiful looking sake, and its bottle of course, since he had a whole collection he was beginning to make.

"Mister!" Yuji turned back to the man hiding behind his counter, hoping not to be seen as he watched Yuji. Though, after being called out, he jumped up and walked over to him with a nervous looking smile that Yuji could obviously see, but said nothing.

The man immediately, yet gently, took the sake bottle away from Yuji and said with that same anxious smile, "Well, it's a very expensive alcohol, so I'd prefer you not to treat it so roughly. And if you'd going to try and buy such a thing, I'd like to request for your brother over there," The man pointed to Sakurai, "You have to be older to drink alcohol, kid."

"K-Kid..." Yuji seemed to have lost his energy at the sounds of those words. He let out the greatest sigh and let his head hang for a while, his hair getting in his eyes as he pouted, "I'm an adult..."

"What was that?" The man asked, leaning in closer to hear what Yuji had said since his words before were just a murmur to himself.

"I'm an adult." Yuji frowned at the man, not in an angry or sad way, but in a way that he was just tired of hearing the same thing every time when he were to try and buy some sort of alcohol, or even other regular things. People kept on thinking he was a teenager, and he took that as an offense, even as the nice person he really is. Some thing tends to get old, and this was one of them, "20 years of age actually..."

"R-Really...?" The man asked, disbelief in his eyes and blinking several times at Yuji, but then frowning in return, but more like a frown that an adult would give to an annoying child, "Don't try to play that card kid... Go ahead and ask your brother over there, it can't be much trouble."

"Wah..." Yuji complained, sighing once more as he walked away from the stand and back to Sakurai, beginning to explain his situation and, for once, ask for help, "The old man won't let me buy it even though I say I'm of age.. He thinks you're my older brother, so you think you could buy that for me? Please? I'll pay you back! Come on!" He said childishly, putting his hands together as if begging super hard, which he really was.

"M-Miss Ayane!" Amaterasu began to shout as she ran throughout the large house that her mistress lived in, although she found no traces of her anywhere. She immediately began to dart to her room, holding her sword in her hand in case of emergencies. The woman nearly slipped a few times because of the hair getting in her face, "E-Excuse me." She said as she slid her mistress's bedroom door open, only to find out she wasn't there either, only causing her to become even more worried.

'Perhaps she's outside...' She thought to herself, hoping that she was correct as she sprinted outside now. Lucky for her, her search ended to see Ayane in her carriage, getting ready to head for the Yukimura territory for the meeting. A look of relief was on Ama after that sight as she let out the great sight of relief and said silently, "Don't scare me like that... Miss...."

ā€œAmaterasu, go get my favorite pipe. It looks like weā€™ll be having nice weather today but we all know all good things come to an end.ā€

"Yes, ma'am!" Ayane said, taking any order without hesitation or questions from her mistress as she headed back to her room, saying the regular 'Excuse me' then entering and finding the pipe her mistress so desired and dashed back as quickly as possible, hardly breaking a sweat compared to when she was worrying over her disappearance.

Once getting back, she gave her her pipe and said politely as she would talk to her regularly, "Please enjoy the weather then, Miss Ayane. We'll depart immediately." Ama said before hopping up to where the driver was, shoving him over with a quiet and hostile growl as he let go and handed them over to her. After all, she'd be more comfortable if she were to direct the carriage instead of some random servant.

"We're off." She turned around to say to Ayane before slapping the two ropes down as the horses took off at a medium fast pace. Ama made sure that the speed was perfect for her mistress; fast to get there quickly, yet smooth so the ride could be enjoyable.

"Miss Ayane..." Amaterasu said quietly, putting the hood of her cloak over her head as she gripped the reigns to the horses tighter, "I'd prefer we not to go to the Yukimura, at least, I'd prefer you not to go there. If you were to allow me to say my own honest opinion, I think it's a terrible idea. In fact, I think it's just a terrible idea that those demons are even allowed to hold a meeting while we could, Miss." She growled at the thought, not liking the thought of other people making her mistress go so far just for a meeting.

'I should have gone in her place.' Ama thought to herself, frowning as she thought such. Yet at the same time, her eyes darted everywhere, scanning the area and every single inch of it. She didn't want any assassin jumping out to assassinate the Miyashiro head. Ama would never be able to live with herself if that were to happen.

"Miss Ayane, I really think this is a bad idea." Ama voiced her opinion again, walking in front of her and turning back constantly. Sometime she turned back every single five seconds just to make sure no one was behind them, and just to make sure that her mistress was in fine shape, "We have no clue what those filthy Yukimura scum could be planning to do with all demon heads in their own territory..."

Ama had nothing personal against the Yukimura. She was hostile to all demons clans except for the one she belonged to; the Miyashiro. All the others she had a neutral suspicion and hatred for, and that was just because they weren't her clan. Imagine what would happen if one were to get on the bad side of Ama. Things would be much worse than Ama just talking bad about them.

"If anything comes out, or if you see anything, Miss Ayane, I'd like to make a request that you tell me silently where they are so I can take more precaution." Ama said, now looking around even more as she drew her blade slightly which would give her an advantage in defending her mistress if anyone were to jump out of the no where, "We're closer to the damned place after all..."

One...Two...Three...Fo-...?

Confused, Tamo counted once more the seats before him. And yet again he came up with three. He stood there staring for a while, than called for the decorator of the dining area. Once announced he had arrived, Tamo turned to the decorator of the dinning room and smiled gently at him.

After counting once more he spoke, "I see the Yukimura Head's seat, the Tenzou Head's seat, and I even see the Kazama Head's seat...but where is the Miyashi Head's seat?"

Sweat fell from the man's eyebrow, as he was faced with Tamo's gentle, but mysterious smile. Tamo continued to stare as the man's eyes widen gradually as he realized the huge mistake he had made, and quite a simple one for that fact. He turned to Tamo, who still displayed his usual smile and looked at the ground, "I did not mean...It was just that, I wasn't think-"

He was cut short by the coldness of Tamo's eyes staring at him, while still holding his carefree smile, "So you expected the Miyashi Head to stand or maybe to sit upon the cold floor, without any comfort? Do you truly believe that is good hospitality?" The man shivered at Tamo's cruel, yet cheery tone of voice. As if to escape the awkwardness, or make it worse, he pleaded his case, "But...Sir...I was just thinking that maybe the Miyashi Head, would be...late to arrive, since she lives the farthest away. `Or that she wasn't coming at all."

It was those words that caused the whole room to fall silent, no one moved an inch, as they feared what would happen. Tamo didn't change his expression once, carefully listening to each and every word the man spoke out of his mouth. Closing his eyes Tamo mediated peacefully on this rare silence, that he hasn't once experienced after two whole weeks of preparation and planning for this important meeting. After a long silence Tamo opened his eyes, revealing his "natural" cheery expression, " Do you have no shame?" The man flinched at the sudden question.

Tamo's gaze remained steady and unwavering, "How dare you speak such as if you can read the Miyashi Head's mind. Do you understand what you have just done? You haven't just disrespect the Head of the Miyashi clan, but our Head as well. We are only lowly servants compared to the Heads. Rather it is our Leader or not, we are to show the utmost respect towards them." It wasn't as if Tamo liked the other Heads, but Setsuna respected them, and that was enough to waver his sense of respect...for a short while. As long as Setsuna enjoyed the other clans company, he would treat them as if he truly cared for their well being.

The man was in utter shock. He was new among the workers, so he hadn't discovered or seen this side of Tamo. Though Tamo seemed unaffected and continued cheerfully, "So how dare you, a mere servant, speak for a Head, as if you are one. Rather she wishes to attend or not, is entirely up to her, but we as the host clan, who is holding this important event, must be ready for anything. And by your choice, it is like saying you believe the Heads are mindless puppets, who need us to make choices for them. Shame on you for disgracing the Miyashi clan and the Yukimura name, which seems to mean absolutely nothing to you."

Though Tamo never raised his voice, the servant froze in fear. He quickly fell to the floor and bowed low to the ground at Tamo,"Please accept my most humble apologize...I would never wish for the Head to be scorned for this, or to show such disrespect to the Miyashi Clan, our honored guest. Or any other clan Head."

Tamo looked upon him quite satisfied by his honest apology, "Than go fix this mess. Now." Without farther hesitation the man raced out of the dining area to retrieve a seat for the Miyashi Head. Tamo stood there and let out a loud sigh. He did this since he was all alone, and he didn't have to put up an image for anyone. He stared out the window toward the garden, and right than his eyes fixed upon the Head of the Yukimura clan...Setsuna Yukimura, a trusting and gentle soul.

A small smile crept onto his face, causing the tips of his lips to curve upward. His tired cold eyes, shone brightly becoming pure and childish, Tamo could only stare at her from afar, as he didn't wish to bother her. But that was all he needed to comfort his agitated heart. Unexpectedly his eyes started to widen, once his eyes got a better look at Setsuna's expression, he knew something was wrong. She looked hazy and greatly troubled. About to race over to her, he was frozen by her pitiful smile.

She must have seen something...

This was happening quite frequently, Setsuna's visions. It wouldn't be a problem if it was about other people, but they weren't. All of them had been about her past, and they have only been getting worse and worse. More detailed and more vivid. He knew this was only causing her pain.

He watched as Setsuna was called upon by a servant girl, and as usually Setsuna forced herself to smile brightly for the girl. He stayed silent as Setsuna slipped away to prepare herself for the meeting. And left alone, Tamo clenched his fists into a ball, causing his pale hands to turn even whiter with the frustration of being useless. Sighing he went on to prepare for the Heads to arrive, knowing him complaining wouldn't help Setsuna at all.

Amaterasu heard a noise in the corner of her ear. She didn't stop the horses or slap the reins, but did immediately turn around to face the bush that had made the shriveling noise. Ama let one tight grip off the ropes and reached down for the sword at her waist. She was always the woman to be cautious of anything, whether it's just a stranger passing by, or a bird chirping in the trees. Her hearing was definitely acute, and she liked to use that to her advantage when protecting her mistress.

After a while of looking back and realizing that nothing had jumped out threateningly, she turned back to the front, letting go of her sword and grabbing the reins again with both hands, letting out a sigh. Ama knew that she was always over protective, and she knew that it was simply annoying to many people around her, and she wondered if her mistress thought that way about her too, but she decided to focus on getting the two of them, and the others that were following behind, to the Yukimura territory.

"Amaterasu calm down and relax a bit. Don't you think I've thought of all the possibilities before making the decision to come here? Being the clan of the South we are to travel the farthest than the other Heads."

Ama opened her mouth to say something, but found it better to think before speaking, something she hardly did and a flaw that was easily pointed out by anyone. After a little while of silence, Ama answered while looking back at her, "Yes... I understand, Miss Ayane. I suppose my imagination of the worst makes me doubt your thoughts." She felt bad, since she was so protective, that it could get the better of her and upset her mistress. That was something she was set on changing over the passing time.

" Amaterasu, think about it. Do you really believe I would be wasting my precious time with this trip if it didnā€™t mean something? Everything has its purpose and this is no exclusion of it. Even if things were to go wrong as long as I am able to get away everything will be alright. Besides I wish to see how the others are doing and this is a rare chance to do so."

Ayane then puffed a dragon-shaped black cloud into Ama's face, causing her to pull back a bit and cough at the same time. She then turned her eyes back to the road, thinking about her words, although her thoughts were completely contradictory to what she was planning on saying. It was hopeless, after all. Ama's defensive nature wouldn't leave, no matter how hard she tried. She's always worry and take extra cautions, but just to see if she could fool her mistress, she put on the most natural smile possible and said, "After thinking through logically... I believe you are right, mistress, just as you always are."

Although she was originally planning on leaving it at that, she then said slowly, and quiet, "Mistress... have you ever met with the Yukimura? Or any of the other clan heads?" Ama, even as a protective person, still had her moments of curiosity, like any other human being. Although she wasn't really a human. Or a demon. But still, "Well... I suppose it won't matter since we'll be meeting them today." Ama said, slapping the reins down since the horses slowed their pace.

A little while later, the scenery changed even more dramatically. The plains Ama was used to seeing after living under the Miyashiro for so long had been reserved into a green landscape of trees and plant life, more than she even thought could exist. It did fascinate her, to think that people lived in that sort of environment normally, and sometimes it all took her eyes off the road and she'd sometimes hit a rock underneath the wheel by accident, immediately apologizing various times to her mistress for the bumpiness. It happened a few times though, since she couldn't help it.

Ama had paid so much attention to how everything looked that time seemed to have flown by. When time slowed, Ama was usually bored or in a bad mood, while if she wasn't, time lasted a mere second; and that's how it really felt. Because of this, she realized she nearly hit the wall of the Yukimura's house, stopping the blinded horses just a few feet from the stone, "Miss Ayane," She began, hopping off the carriage and directing one of the servants to tie the horses to a pole, "We've arrived at the Yukimura's household."

Once the fantasy world she saw, through the green trees and plants, had disappeared, she snapped out of it and into her defensive mode once again. Her hand was laid onto her sword in a fashion that could easily be pulled out when needed, and she went right to Ayane, just in case anything were to happen. Surprisingly, no other heads had arrived just yet, 'I suppose I must have driven the carriage slightly faster than anticipated...' But she just solved this with a small shrug, 'Being first here cannot hurt. The Miyashiro are always on time. I expect our first impression to be the best...'

"Do you need help getting out, Miss Ayane?" She asked, offering a hand if needed since she wanted to do anything possible to assist her mistress. Yet at the same time, her eyes seemed to have speculated the grounds coldly. Almost like a priest staring into the eyes of a demon, Ama didn't look as if she was trusting of the clan they were visiting, or any other clan for that matter. All that mattered was the Miyashiro, and the Miyashiro only.

Ayane Miyashiro

Within that time Ayane finished smoking, turning her pipe over so to let the ashes fall out. Tapping it with one slender finger Ayane slid her mask back into place but left the cloth folded over her hat. A small smile on her lips she sat back in her seat her eyes looking over the scenery around her.

"After thinking through logically... I believe you are right, mistress, just as you always are."
ā€œMy dear girl I may have lived a long life but saying Iā€™m always right isnā€™t exactly correct.ā€ Ayane spoke softly to herself so Amaterasu wouldnā€™t hear her words. If the girl knew that her mistress doubted herself then problems would arise. What they would be she wouldnā€™t know, each living being in this world reacts differently.

"Mistress... have you ever met with the Yukimura? Or any of the other clan heads?"

Ayane thought for a moment wondering if she should shed more light on the fact that she has lived eight times to her guard. no that wonā€™t be necessary. Although it was obvious Amaterasu was curious Ayane wasnā€™t about to let the conversation lead to more questions that neednā€™t be answered.

ā€œNo I have yet to meet the head of the Yukimura clan but I do know many things about her; things that she wishes I didnā€™t know of. As for the others I have only met the previous head for the Kazama clan however he is no longer in office. Itā€™s the first time in 800 hundred years that all the clan heads were female something Iā€™m sure the elders have a hard time accepting.ā€

Although the rest of the ride was a bit bumpy Amaterasu kept apologizing for it which both amused and irritated Ayane. Red eyes watched Amaterasuā€™s back not bothering to tell the girl of the wall they were headed right for. People are such simple creatures so easily distracted and this is the girl who has been protecting me for how long? frowning a bit.

"Miss Ayane,"
ā€œMmm
"We've arrived at the Yukimura's household.ā€

ā€œOh really, how delightful" her voice dry. Lifting the cloth back over her face Ayane prepared herself for stepping out of the carriage but hesitated by Amaterasuā€™s question.

"Do you need help getting out, Miss Ayane?"

Shuddering at the idea of having to touch her guard Ayane chose to ignore her offered hand as she would so often do. besides she isnā€™t paying attention to what Iā€™m doing ā€œAmaterasu I doubt there would be people trying to kill us so soon. Donā€™t waste your energy trying to find something that isnā€™t there.ā€

Patting down her kimono of any dirt that may have collected on the fine silk. Ayane looked around before taking slow steps towards the main household. She stood tall with her head held high to make a good impression on the servants. Her hands held before her in the folds of her sleeves Ayane paused just long enough to catch the attention of one of her own servants.

ā€œGirl, do inform the head of our arrival.ā€ the girl nodded happy to be of use and went in search of the Yukimuraā€™s head or whoever was in charge of the household at the moment.
