Name: Emily Sarah Witson
Age:18
Species/Type: Human/Local
Personality:
She likes to keep to herself and try and ignore the world where vampires rule Vegas particularly at night and everyone else looks the other way. Emily much prefers the life away from the nightmare myth that came true like plain old textbook studies. Yet there is an intrigued side-arguably dangerously curious side. Though she has no intentions of becoming a freshie, vampires have this pull and mystery to them that fascinates Emily's innocent mind. She is torn in her desire and logic; The desire to know the vampires and the logic that reminds her they are manipulative and bloodsucking.
All of this because of a painful compulsion to treat everything like a puzzle and figure it out.
Usually most answers do come in a textbook for her so she can work privately at it, but vampires urge her to go out of her comfort zone and become a stereotypical devious teen, which temptation already lingers in Emily's conscience though she'll never admit it. Sometimes she just wants to be free and party, socialize and have a great night that may or may not be remembered. She's in the perfect city for it.
Emily can be perceived as borderline schizophrenic when it comes to opportunities to go out. She's convinced her intelligence and high morals and standards makes her who she is and she blossoms in that unique way, and she loves sticking to her guns. But the desire to let go and be a wild child can be so tempting.
History:
The truth was her parents always told her about the vampires of Vegas from a young age and as she developed she thought it to be a spook story for bed. Upon an encountering though involving fangs engorged in a man's neck she quickly reeled back to young girl that pulled the blanket over her head for safety. Gratefully, she was a quick adapter and she had the parents to help her through it.
However, they decided to leave. That they couldn't cope any longer and it wasn't safe. That the beasts would soon turn on them too. But Emily found herself insisting on staying and living with her aunt as her parents flew off to the other side of the country.
There's some wonder in why they were willing to leave Emily behind with such ease. They insisted a bit but usually parents wouldn't allow their daughters to be left behind at all. Her aunt informed her with a convincing theory "they thought you were obsessed with the creatures. The kind that seeks out vampires and to have their blood drunk from them." It was insulting news for Emily so she was glad for their riddance.
To this day she can't stand the thought of fangs protruding from gums and sinking into another's flesh. It freaks her out, but she's managed to cope with the facts and the operation of Vegas and vampires. Some days she questions it, other days she's happy to let it be as she understands it's pretty much tradition now. Most of the vampires were here before her anyway...
