Name: Emily Sarah Witson
Age:18
Species/Type: Human/Local

Personality:
She likes to keep to herself and try and ignore the world where vampires rule Vegas particularly at night and everyone else looks the other way. Emily much prefers the life away from the nightmare myth that came true like plain old textbook studies. Yet there is an intrigued side-arguably dangerously curious side. Though she has no intentions of becoming a freshie, vampires have this pull and mystery to them that fascinates Emily's innocent mind. She is torn in her desire and logic; The desire to know the vampires and the logic that reminds her they are manipulative and bloodsucking.
All of this because of a painful compulsion to treat everything like a puzzle and figure it out.

Usually most answers do come in a textbook for her so she can work privately at it, but vampires urge her to go out of her comfort zone and become a stereotypical devious teen, which temptation already lingers in Emily's conscience though she'll never admit it. Sometimes she just wants to be free and party, socialize and have a great night that may or may not be remembered. She's in the perfect city for it.

Emily can be perceived as borderline schizophrenic when it comes to opportunities to go out. She's convinced her intelligence and high morals and standards makes her who she is and she blossoms in that unique way, and she loves sticking to her guns. But the desire to let go and be a wild child can be so tempting.

History:
The truth was her parents always told her about the vampires of Vegas from a young age and as she developed she thought it to be a spook story for bed. Upon an encountering though involving fangs engorged in a man's neck she quickly reeled back to young girl that pulled the blanket over her head for safety. Gratefully, she was a quick adapter and she had the parents to help her through it.
However, they decided to leave. That they couldn't cope any longer and it wasn't safe. That the beasts would soon turn on them too. But Emily found herself insisting on staying and living with her aunt as her parents flew off to the other side of the country.

There's some wonder in why they were willing to leave Emily behind with such ease. They insisted a bit but usually parents wouldn't allow their daughters to be left behind at all. Her aunt informed her with a convincing theory "they thought you were obsessed with the creatures. The kind that seeks out vampires and to have their blood drunk from them." It was insulting news for Emily so she was glad for their riddance.

To this day she can't stand the thought of fangs protruding from gums and sinking into another's flesh. It freaks her out, but she's managed to cope with the facts and the operation of Vegas and vampires. Some days she questions it, other days she's happy to let it be as she understands it's pretty much tradition now. Most of the vampires were here before her anyway...

How did she let herself wind up in this greasy club that was far from her scene? She should be in her room studying for college or sleeping more accurately, and right now thatā€™s where she fully preferred to be as people were humping on each other, sharing sweat and drinks to make them further out of their right mind. The majority left over were far from respectable figures except for some of the staff maybe.

Emily covered her mouth yawning out and glanced to her watch. ā€œWeā€™ve been here for hours and thereā€™s still nothing above any other club. See? Vegas is just like any other place but flashier,ā€ she informed her friend for the 100th time today and still managed to add that light hearted amusement to it.
Her friend posed an annoying nuisance when she flew over, believing that Vegas had another absurd element to it that she couldnā€™t pin point. Emily was quick to dismiss the thought as more people didnā€™t need to know about the vampires. Some days even Emily wished she didnā€™t know and theyā€™d return to the horror story they were made from. But facts were facts and could not be ignored.

Emily didnā€™t want to go out at night in the first place knowing it was for vampireā€™s picking but her friend had persisted and persisted and honestly there was an urge buried within Emily to learn more of the creatures whom she shared a city with. It was risky because though rumour had it locals were not to be harmed by a vampire, her friend may very well have been up for grabs. Next to all the grinding and adrenaline around on the dancefloor though they shouldnā€™t have attracted attention. Emily didnā€™t want to play with those odds any longer though.
ā€œCome on.ā€ She took a few steps toward the exit, initiating her cue to leave and not get lost in the crowd of Vegas. Her friend followed as expected, eyeing the dancefloor to catch one glance of that something odd she sought. Emily chuckled a little grabbing her hand tightly. ā€œWe can come back tomorrow if you really want.ā€ They had made it this far, no way she was going to lose her friend in the home stretch. She was just relieved they were heading for the exit and open streets.

His blue eyes were locked on the club, browsing from the selection ahead. Boy, girl, old, young, drunk, tipsy, sober, tall, short. The list went on and he always appreciated the variety the clubs would offer which made it perfect feeding grounds. He watched the pure-blood twins get hit on which was practically routine, until two girls were found in his peripheral vision heading out. One appearing to insist on their leave and the other curious to stay. ā€œBingo,ā€ he muttered to himself brushing off a hand that tried to grab his shirt and pull him in for a sloppy drunken kiss.

Skye looked around once more making sure the pure-bloods had eyes elsewhere and even other vampires were heading elsewhere for their targets then appeared in front of the girls. It was a secondā€™s delay until he had their attention and he spoke. ā€œHi.ā€ He smiled. ā€œThis is really embarrassing but I kinda been working up the courage all night to ask you to dance with me and I couldnā€™t, until now.ā€ Skye scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, his eyes drifting just pass the responsible leaver to target her friend who wouldnā€™t know what she was signing up for. They thought they could slip under the radar which is exactly why Skye picked them out. They must've come here for some engaging activity though. They didn't seem the type to get lost in drugs and sex so they sought some other action. ā€œIs it too late?ā€ For a moment his eyes met the leaderā€™s own blues before flickering back to her companionā€™s and wavering a nervous smile.

She wasnā€™t a freshie but she had some knowing to her. A local without being known well among vampires. Heā€™d figure it out later but for now he was awaiting her friendā€™s response. If she wanted to stay, she should have been able to stay. One less problem for the local girl. Skye extended a hand.

She paused in her tracks jumping a little at the blonde maleā€™s sudden appearance. Shit.In any other instance he would be adorable and definitely worth making out with but hunching at what he was, it was all bad. Emily had never stared so long in anticipation shaking her head slightly in shock.
And when their hands parted, she freaked inside. She glanced hesitantly back to Ashley who turned all kinds of shy and weird but took the guyā€™s hand instead. Inside, Emily was yelling and screaming and gripping her hair, demanding her friend come back but they travelled to the dancefloor where it was advantage vampire.

Despite her lack of the clubbing experience she already knew no one wanted to be that friend that whined about leaving and cock-blocked but there was so much more on the line. She could not allow her friend to become that handsome creatures snack, even though she was bursting to flee the scene herself. She pushed past a few people, apologizing briefly as she made her way through the crowd to retrieve her friend. ā€œWeā€™ve actually really got to go!ā€ She tried for a new technique knowing her friend was helpless and blind to the life saver Emily was being right now. ā€œUmmā€¦ā€ she had planned her script but was hesitant to get close to the vampire. She sucked up the courage for a moment and planted her wrists on his shoulder to assist the height difference as she leaned into his ear. ā€œShe needs to take her meds. Sheā€™s low on white blood cells at the moment so her immune system is all kinds of messed up. Sheā€™s susceptible to so many diseases out there.ā€ Emily drew back watching the vampire carefully, waiting for his reaction. She wasnā€™t sure it was enough to assure her friendā€™s safety without a bite or if it meant anything to vampires so she took on a more courageous direct approach. ā€œAnd do you really want her screaming out vampire?ā€ She added on her tip toes.

Emily didnā€™t know what broader exposure meant for them but surely it had bad consequences to follow. Itā€™d be like the revival of ancient witch hunters in the stories she read. Only coming straight to Vegas and specialize in vampire hunting. She tensed prepared to try fight him off with all her might, from her friend or herself as he could have very well perceived it as a threat or simply not have cared in the slightest.
