Introduction

London, England, 1889, the ending of the Victorian Era. It is the city of life, well known for its lavish parties hosted by the rich and the urchins that scramble the streets. It is a time of wealth and dignity, where proper young ladies are required an escort and young males come to court those they desire. Fun and games, fun and games.

What many people leave out about this regal period was the creatures that also dwelled with the humans, the creatures that still roam on the earth till this very day. There is a secret society of a race with an unknown origin. They allow few outsiders into their secret world, and those that are enlighten are fated to die. It is their blood, human blood, that has allowed this race to survive throughout the years. Unknown to much of England, Vampires roam the streets.

Many wonder how this ancient race is able to function from the shadows. The Vampires have taken precautions to secure their identities. With their age and time, they have secured a small, or large, fortune for themselves allowing them to join the elite in London society. To remain hidden, many of them also have multiple estates that they relocate to with every new generation to conceal their ageless virtues. They attend the lavish parties and are familiar with the proper protocols of society to appear nothing more than a member of the elite: money, manners, and morals.

Many have come to respect the humans, some come to laugh at them, thinking of them as merely entrees to hunt and enjoy. Some feel that eternal life is a gift, others believe it to be a curse. The Vampiric society has its own system of government located beneath Big Ben where the Elders give their word. And their word is law.

All of the vampires know that they walk a fine line between the shadows and the light, one wrong move could set everything ablaze. What will happen if one of the vampires of the elite begins to feels drawn to a human girl? Will he sacrifice the balance and reveal himself to her? Or will his bloodlust win control of his actions in a senseless slaughter?

The Elder's Laws
• Humans must remain ignorant to our existence.
• All disputes will be brought before the Elders for a civil trial.
• You may not, under any condition, create a new vampire without consent from the elders.

Vampiric Nature
• Some vampires live together in "Families" or covens to give a sense of community. Others prefer to live alone.
• Holy water, fire, crosses, silver bullets, and sunlight may harm a vampire.
• Many vampires are gifted with supernatural abilities. These tend to increase with age.
•A vampire will have heightened senses, speed, and strength.
• They do not necessarily sleep in coffins. Beds are preferred.
• Vampires can consume mortal food, but many tend not to since it provides no nutrition. Alcohol, however, is a good way to "fit in" with the mortals at a party. It is very difficult for a vampire to become drunk, but it is possible after an excessive amount.
• A vampire must consume blood a minimum of once every three days. If they do not, they will slowly begin to decay.
• To create a new vampire, the human's blood must be drained completely. In the moment of their death, the vampire must feed their own blood to sire the new creature into the world. Most of the Sire's blood must be feed to the vampire in order for the exchange to work properly. More times than not, the timing is missed and the human dies forever. This process is extremely painful for both the human and vampire/

-I am looking for someone to play the male vampire, I will be a human female of middle class, for a one on one. There will be romance and violence.

-I would like this to be a literate, semi-advance roleplay. I usually post an average of 400 words, I expect the same from you. I understand getting stuck, but I want this to be well driven through character interaction. There will be no reserving of spots. I will accept the one I believe will be able to get the most out of this. Even if someone says they submitted a character, still feel free to try out. Character applications will only close when the first post is made. Until then this is still fair game.

- I am basing these vampires off of the good, old fashion ones. They are dark, evil, vindictive, and manipulative. Remember, in 1889, there was no replacement for human blood. Nor were their "vegetarians." Animals may be eaten for a pinch, but the amount of blood required to sustain a vampire would be three times then needed if it was human blood.

-There will be romance obviously. BUT, it will be gradual, at least on my part. But remember, there must be a reason your guy didn't eat her on first sight.

-Please don't let this scare you, I am just looking for something I can enjoy and hope you can too. I look forward to your applications. ^_^

Emmaline nodded in acceptance to Aaron's explanation of his travels, her eyes still searching the stars for any secrets that they would be willing to expose for her. She loved watching the stars, believing that each one was the residual energy from lost souls looking back upon their loved ones. Perhaps her parents were watching them, but even her naive mind found that difficult to accept. They were gone. . . But never forgotten. She would never let herself forget the wonderful people that she had been born to. One could only have one set of parents, and even though they had unwillingly abandoned her, Emma would not have traded them for the world.

She smiled and turned her head toward Aaron, her blue eyes glittering even in the dim moonlight. How perfect this night felt, how peaceful. Ethan would have never agreed to such a silly hobby of resting to view the stars. That was what Emma disliked about Ethan, his muscles overcame his mind hindering his ability to enjoy the simple passings of life. After all, the stars would only be in this exaction position once. Never again would everything line up in this exact moment. To enjoy the moment was something that Emma's father that stressed during his life, always taking the time to stop and watch nature's beauty no matter where he was.

"A lord?" Emma sighed softly looked to him with a smile. "It is a pity you won't let me call you Lord Aaron. The title suits you well." She grinned, continuing back to the subject of his father. "That must have been something. Such opportunity you had to explore the world so young! But, it is of no surprise, then, that you lost the ability to connect with people. Moving around so often must have been very lonesome for a young boy. Travels or not, perhaps it would have been better for your father to have given you a permeant place of residence where lasting friendships could be made. I couldn't imagine the loneliness you must have felt."

Emmaline smiled and rolled to her side, picking at the clovers in the grass as she pondered this thought. "Still, it must have been beautiful." She glanced to him, noticing his face was half hidden in the shadows. It seemed almost natural for him to be like this, a thought that Emma felt was odd. And yet, the mystery suited him well. "Do you have any siblings that made the travel any easier?" she inquired, curious as to his past. "I was an only child, but I always envied the siblings in towns. Especially those with younger sisters; what fun they must be. Father joked that he didn't want anyone to take attention away from me." She grinned to this, looking up to Aaron. "He always had too much pride in me."

He looked at her for while as he spoke, her eyes seemingly fixed on the stars and the stars only. She looked like she was remembering someone or something. They held meaning to her at least. They didn't to Aaron. Not anymore. Many things he used to be fascinated by didn't hold the same meaning they used to. It wore off after almost a century. Maybe Emma could revive them within him.
When he was younger - before he was turned - Aaron used to ride under the stars in the night. He loved the cold wind through his hair and the calming light the moon gave him. Little did he know that he would never see the sun again, and oh how he wished he could remember how it felt to have the warmth of it spread over your skin.

Aaron looked away for a second. His father had held the title, but Aaron didn't want to be anything like his father. Never. He'd rather die first. His was the only life he didn't regret taking on that ship so many years ago now.
"For the life of me I don't see how I strike you as a lord, Emma." he said and turned his head towards her, still holding his hands folded over his chest. "Yes I had many opportunities as a child. And it was a good thing. We lived mostly in Paris as I have told you earlier." he sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. He could almost feel the warmth that came from her body, and see the pulse on her neck. Aaron swallowed once and then continued.
"I had many friends as a child as well, some brief, and some for a longer time. It wasn't as lonely as I may have lead you to believe."

Aaron looked up again and at the stars. He tried to recall what he used to feel when he looked at them, but all memories seemed to evade him. Even her question about siblings brought doubt to his mind. Only for a brief moment though. Aaron never had any siblings. Not a brother or sister. He would have liked it though. "Travelling is good for the human soul." he said, again excluding himself. He wasn't human anymore. The stars only seemed to burn into his dark eyes and linger there for the time, as if they reignited the spark within. Or at least, Aaron wished so.
"I have no siblings. No family left whatsoever, or that is to say, none that I know of." he paused and smiled. "Brothers or sisters, I think neither could have taken away the attention you enjoy so effortlessly."

Emmaline glanced away sadly as he mentioned being alone in the world. So, he was not so different from her. Then again, she still had Tabitha and John for whatever little comfort they could offer. Without them, she would have been utterly alone. At least she had some sort of family structure to bound her, even though Tabitha made everything seem more as a bother than anything else. Emmaline often wondered if the woman had always been so bitter, or if something had occurred over her lifetime. She believed the latter was true, hearing about a completely different Tabby from her mother's childhood tales.

"I'm sorry for your loss, Aaron. It seems that we may have more in common than I originally thought." She smiled to him, looking him over longingly. "And I only compared you to a Lord because you have the ability to silence a room with your presence," she said with a bush. "I'm not sure what it is, but you have some sort of air that follows you, commanding respect. I never met a lord before, so I figured that is what they would be like. It is not a bad trait, but and admirable one," she said, chuckling softly.

Emmaline blushed to his comment about siblings not being able to take away her attention. Her gaze found the stars again, smiling to herself. "Why thank you. You really are too kind to me, Aaron." She sighed softly and looked to him, feeling as if heavy thoughts were wandering his mind. "We should talk about something else," she said abruptly, sitting up. "This is a night for pleasure, come, what else would you like to do? I could show you more of the park if you would like. Or the docks. . . Or anything really."

He chuckled in his low voice and sat up. "You do right in pity the living and not the dead, Emma." Aaron smiled. "But do not pity me."
If she's meant to pity the dead, she's meant to pity me! his mind went and he pondered the paradox. Whatever the case, he couldn't afford her to know that his heart didn't beat anymore. That it wasn't necessary for him to draw breath or eat food.
"I merely return the kindness I am given." he said. Emmaline noticed his sudden change of mood and quickly did something to better it, and it worked.
Aaron narrowed his eyes and then tilted his head. He stood up and extended his hand to grasp hers, and pull her to her feet.
"I would like you to show me everything. Take me to wherever you want to." Aaron brushed a stray lock of hair behind her ear and let go of her hand. "I am yours."

Emmaline grasped Aaron's hand to pull herself up from the cold ground. She wanted to find something what would excite him, to bring pleasure back that he seemed to lack.

Emma smiled, chilled by his touch but thinking nothing of it as she rose from the ground. Everyone was different, after all. Perhaps he was simply cool and too polite to ask and return inside. Yes, that must be it. She looked up to him, gazing into his eyes for no other reason than because she could. "I would like you to show me everything. Take me to wherever you want to." Aaron brushed a stray lock of hair behind her ear and let go of her hand. "I am yours."

Emmaline grinned to this, her crystal eyes taking upon a mischievous shimmer. "I rather like the sound of that," she said playfully, looking deep into his midnight pools while dusting her skirt free from the reminisce of clovers. She paused in this process, bending over with a girlish squeal. "Oh Aaron, look!" she cried softy, plucking a particular clover from the ground, "this one has four leaves. Did you know each leaf has its own meaning?" she mused softly, looking to the delicate clover while pointing out the leaves. "The first is for faith, the second is for hope, the third is love, and the fourth is the most well known meaning: luck."

Emmaline smiled, her brilliant gaze meeting his once again. It took a special person to harvest such enthusiasm over foliage. That was the beauty of Emmaline Hallows, she never missed an opportunity to allow herself to become excited over the simple matters of life. "Here, Aaron. I want you to keep it. I all ready have all the luck in the world by you escorting me tonight," she said, placing the clover in Aaron's palm and curling his fingers over it softly. "There is nothing else I could wish for."

Emma smiled up to him, knowing her words were true. Regretfully she pulled her own hands away and turned away, glancing over her shoulder playfully as she began down the path. Her entire being radiated as the moonlight reflect off her sun kissed curls.

He smiled to her sudden flare of mischief, and followed her every move with his eyes. He took in as much as he could for the moment. "I must admit, I've never heard the tale of the other three leaves." he said as she handed him the clover, and closed his hand around it. Aaron followed her as she walked away from him again, leaving her all too kind and innocent words ringing in his ears. If she only knew.
"I'll say it one more time Emma. The pleasure is mine." he assured her as he fell in besides her. Where was she going to take him next? "What little piece of Heaven are you leading me towards now?" he looked to his side and his eyes first fell on her hair, beautifully flowing around her shoulders. She was illuminated by the moon and she looked radiant. How Aaron had the control to keep calm was a mystery to him.
They stepped back onto even ground and Aaron stuck his arm out yet again, a mere reflex. He was a gentleman and would behave as such all the time. Especially when in the company of the lovely Emmaline.
"I must admit the moonlight only increases the pleasant atmosphere of this evening," his eyes found hers. A sudden rebllious intent struck him. Aaron was never one for obeying orders and even taking them. He didn't really care for the Elder's and their Laws. But he knew that if he broke them, they would kill him. His sudden impulse commanded him to reveal his true nature to the girl in front of him, but it was only for a second. Aaron kept his control and did nothing but look her in the eyes. When she found out, she would be terrified. And he would be forced to kill her. Would he?
You have to. Don't be weak. he thought and furrowed his eyebrows for a moment, then relaxed.

Emmaline smiled, her gaze flickering up to Aaron. "Heaven? We are far from there," she said, looking up to the sky as she reclaimed Aaron's arm as her own. She pressed herself against him as they walked, chilled by the air. "We are still alive, so this cannot be Heaven. Every breath reminds me of that. Besides, if we were there, then out loved ones would be with us. I can only see one right now," she said, resting her head on his shoulder although she did not intend to clarify her statement. She had not meant to refer to Aaron as a 'loved one,' but now that she had, Emma wondered what it could mean. She had often heard that a slip of the tongue was the subconscious speaking.

Emma smiled to this and closed her eyes with a deep breath. The path they took lead them through a grove of trees canopying over the road. The leaves above their heads blocked out traces of the moon, leaving Emma to press tightly against Aaron, her vision low as even the shadows tricked her eyes. She knew the path well enough from her daylight strolls, but it seemed completely different now. She felt utterly isolated with Aaron, but not scared. Nothing could happen as long as he was watching over her. "I am going to take you to the docs," she said softly, her voice breaking the silence of the air. "This is the only path, I am glad you are with me. I would be too frightened to walk here alone," she admitted honestly, squinting to try and see better.

She sighed and gave up, knowing that any attempt to see better would be futile. "The night seems so alone," Emma whispered, looking around the dark forest. "Without the moon, it makes one wonder if they are truly alone in this world or not. Even the crickets are silent tonight, I wonder why. Surely they cannot be afraid of us," she mused innocently.

As they strolled along the path through the grove, Aaron's eyes were fixed on his feet. Rarely did he look up at her face as she spoke. All her talk about Heaven made him ponder and think. If it really did exist, then so did Hell. That would mean that Aaron went to Hell. It didn't bother him in any way. If he had to see his loved ones again he would be ashamed, knowing that they would be disgusted in him. He never wanted them to see what he had become.
For God's sake, Aaron was the one who killed all of them. That in itself was unforgivable.
"Oh? And who is that?" he said and finally looked at her, wondering what she had meant by what she said. What loved one could she see from there? It certainly could not be him. If that was the case, she fell in love too quickly. Or maybe not, but she definately trusted too easily. But all his other victims had trusted him too easily as well. It was part of his alluring persona.

She moved closer to him, as if the encroaching shadows warned of something ominous. Like they wanted her; to take her down to the deepest caverns under the earth and keep her there alone and in dispair. Only Aaron didn't fear that. No, he was used to the night and welcomed every corner of darkness like it was an old friend. As if it embraced him.
"The docks? I've only rarely been there." he said and tilted his head. "Don't fear," Aaron's voice grew deeper as he spoke in a hushed voice. "Don't fear the dark now, for the Reaper holds no sway under a moon like that."
He noticed her squinting eyes and smiled to himself. What she didn't see, he did. He knew that the darkness played tricks on the human mind. "In nights like these, even the birds and the beasts of the darker hours retreat to admire the power of the moon." Aaron looked at her with a wicked smile and the gold in his eyes reflected the moonlight again. "Only the werewolves come out under a full moon!" he winked, to make sure he only jested and joked. He didn't want to scare her.

Emmaline looked forward into the path, her body tight as they continued forward. At his mentioning to not be afraid, Emma felt herself strangely begin to loosen up. It was as if Aaron had cast a curse upon her. She sighed softly, her mind calm as they continued forward toward the docs. She smiled, holding him warmly against her as if he was her only protection against the world. Emma thought of Aaron as her charm, something that only worked the tighter it was help.

"Only the werewolves come out under a full moon!"

Emmaline laughed to this, her mood light and playful as she pushed Aaron away in pretend anger. "Werewolves!" she repeated with a high squeal. "Now you are just trying to frighten me, aren't you, Aaron?" she joked, brushing her hair over her shoulder with an exasperated sigh. "And to think I trusted you. But it is not the werewolves we need to look out for," she continued, going along with his 'game.'  "No, the full moon isn't until 'morrow. It is the vampires that you have to watch for. They only need the sun to fall to begin their hunt. It is a good thing you are here, or a vampire would have surly chased me by now. I am nothing compared to their undead powers."

Emmaline smiled, her eyes looking for him in the darkness. "Vampires, werewolves, and witches. Oh my," she said, barely able to hold back her giggles. "We might be talking child's play here, but rumors are going around the city that vampires are causing the disappearances of young people lately, especially the girls. What has this world come to in believing that their mother's tales have come alive? It is all nonsense if you ask me. But it is a creative twist on the disappearances, I will give them that."

He laughed at her pretend horror and fright. If she only knew. His eyes settled on her again as she stood a few spaces away from him.
"Yes, I am indeed trying to frighten you." he said seriously, but then smiled again. "But I mean it well." he stood closer to her again and they continued their walk through the grove, with the trees over them in the light of the moon. Aaron Blackmoore listened closely as she spoke. She didn't even believe in vampires. A lot of the folk of London didn't believe in his race, but used the stories to scare their children from going out at night or, as in this case, use it them to explain these disappearances. All the while they were completely oblivious to the fact that these stories were indeed, true.
"Oh, so you know of werewolves?" he inquired but furrowed his brows when she continued. "I agree. Such stories are for the children to hear at night, to prevent them to go out into the night and discover the real dangers. Yet, one can't help but wonder." Aaron glanced at her and his mouth twitched. He was balancing on the edge of a knife now. "I mean, these disappearances are quite inexplicable. The victims disappear and leave no trace whatsoever. The police usually have something to go on, but-.."he gestured with his hand in the cool air. "They have nothing to go on in this case." Aaron shook his head and shrugged. "Dangerous times we live in, and dangerous people."

Emmaline nodded in agreement, her eyes flickering towards him in amusement despite their dismal subject. "Yes, with this new string of murders and that bloody Jack the Ripper, there is plenty to keep the police busy these evenings. I suppose that is why I find myself so lucky to have such a gentleman like yourself escorting me home. Do you have any other plans for the evening?" she asked as they emerged from the trees, the scent of the water and gentle waves lapping the port filling their minds.

Emmaline smiled, excited to be seeing the spectacular beauty of the water. It had such a soothing effect upon her, even if she had never been sailing. "You must be well acquainted with the port, with all of your traveling that is," she surmised, taking his hand and leading him to an empty doc. "I hear the nights are beautiful when in the middle of the ocean and far from any land. It must be sobering to realize how inferior one truly is compared to the world."

Emmaline looked to him wondering what types of memories his travels sparked to his mind. Sighing softly, she leaned against the railing and gazed into the tide, looking as far out as her eyes could see. "The last time I remember it being said that vampires were the cause of some devastation or tragedy was in this very harbor." She paused slightly, trying to recall the ancient tale. "Have you heard the story? It happened many years ago, but it is still told to children as a night scare. It was said that a boat on its maiden voyage sailed into the harbor. From France, I believe, although everyone has a different version to tell. When the harbor master went aboard to see the crew, everyone was dead. Senselessly slaughtered as if the worst of cattle. Not a trace was left of the culprit." Emmaline shivered slightly, pulling her shall tightly over herself. "I still cringe when I think of that. Such a sad tale it is."

The sight of the docks filled his mind with more memories of the past, and one in particular vexed his mind and made Aaron wrinkle his nose and frown. And that was the exact memory that Emmaline decided to bring up. But then again, how could you not think of that sad story when you came to this place? Even though it was many many years ago. "I remember the story as if it was yesterday," he said in a ponderous tone and then looked at the beautiful young girl next to him.
When hearing it from someone else's lips and not the voices of his own memories, Aaron realized how eerie and odd the story was. And why the young children didn't dare go out at night when they heard it. "Such an odd tale it is." he said, trying to avoid suspicion.
Then Aaron paused and forced his mind to focus on something else than that memory. He saw his travels and all the memories of sailing before his eyes, and smiled.
"I've been here a few times when I was younger." he said and tilted his head. "But if you don't mind, I'd prefer not to dwell on all these old memories and rather make new ones." Aaron said it in a tone both stern and commanding, but also gentle and kind. He didn't want to offend the young lady.

Emmaline smiled to Aaron at his suggestion of making new memories. "Yes, that is a very good idea," she said, sighing softly while resting her head on his shoulder. She closed her eyes blissfully and took a deep breath of the salty air. It was a perfect night.

Emmaline brought her head up and looked to Aaron, noticing his soft smile. "Are you thinking about your travels?" she questioned softly. Emma knew she would never end up leaving London despite her wild dreams. There was too much holding her back, even her wildest desires would not be able to break the chains of her existence. And even then, a mortal life would never give her enough time to fully appreciate the world's beauty.

She smiled warmly to herself, sadden slightly by this thought. Gently she released his arm and stepped forward to the edge of the doc to lean against the railing and peer out to the world beyond. It seemed so wild and untamed, perhaps that was why her heart was drawn to it. Carefully she bent forward and cupped the precious water with her hands, a calm smile painted on her lips. "I may not be a traveler like you, but I still can escape to the world. The oceans all connected and mingle together, flowing as one body as well as individual droplets. What I hold in my hand now could have once brushed against the shores of Africa or been swallowed by a dolphin. The options are endless when you think about it really. When I was younger, I once put a bottled note into the sea just to see where it would go. I never received an answer, of course, but part of me went off with it."

Emmaline smiled, her eyes gazing longingly into the distance. All at once her grin grew as she twisted to Aaron, returning to his side quickly and taking his hand with her own. "Let's go for a swim," she said, laughing, attempting to pull him with her.

"I think so too, dear." Aaron patted her hand and smiled to her as she put her head on his shoulder. It was obvious how much she enjoyed the night, here at the mercy of the winds of the sea. The vampire himself thought of his own life as every bit of him recalled past memories; some more welcome than others. "Yes I am. I'm recalling memories," he said and smiled at her, for a second revealing his fangs. A pity they couldn't hide them whenever they wanted to.
Emmaline wanted to leave London and go on her own adventures and travels, that much Aaron knew. Her eyes were screaming it behind that perfect exterior she carried around, obeying every order her Aunt and Uncle gave her. Had it been Aaron, he would have left years ago. Yet it wasn't, it was her. And her own life wasn't his to control. Then a thought crossed the vampire's mind. He could offer her everything she wanted. Every. Single. Thing. But would he have to turn her then?

Emmaline stepped away from him and walked to the edge of the peer, looking out over the water. She bent down to cup the water in her hands and a smile appeared on her face.
That's the smile I've been waiting for. he thought to himself and slowly stepped up towards her. As she spoke, the young man tilted his head and failed to hide a half-wicked smile. It was as every word she spoke blew life into him again, however Aaron tried to deny the fact. He knew what was happening to him. Slowly as it was. He wouldn't accept it completely, but neither could he bother to deny it.
The vampire wrapped a strong hand around her neck and looked her in the eyes, his smile slowly fading and his eyes growing serious. "I will make you an offer, and a promise now." he nodded to see if she understood. "I can see it in your eyes, how much you want to leave London and go on your own travels and adventures. You want to get out. There's a fire in your heart that has undeniably inspired me." Aaron smiled again and winked. "Everything you want, I can give you. I can take you across the sea to behold the pyramids of Egypt, and to the ancient cities of Greece and Persia. To the Louvre in France and to the highest peak in the world. Anywhere you want to go."
His hands let go of her neck again and he leaned back to stand up in his full height. He wondered whether he would eventually have to turn her. She would have to now what he was eventually.
Then he smiled again. "Now... Were you serious about that swim?"

Emmaline felt her body stiffen as Aaron held her by the throat, unsure of how to react to the sudden situation. She felt trapped. It was as if she was mere prey in his grasp. Never before hand Emmaline felt so small and insignificant than she did underneath Aaron's gaze at this moment.

She listened to his words fully, her fright washing away with interest in what he said. Emma found herself taken away by his words, unsure by their meanings but knowing that she wanted the results. Desperately. Everything he said about her was true. She wanted to travel and explore the world more than anything else. Could this man really give her all that as he claimed? Emmaline wanted to believe this. And yet, it all seemed too good to be true.

When Aaron released Emmaline's throat, she stepped back and rubbed her tender flesh softly, eyeing the man with interest and worry. His action reminded Emmaline how strong the man was. All though he was well built, Emma could not help the thought that some of the strength was misplaced. "I was serious about the swim," she responded, looking carefully over the dock. "The weather is beautiful and it would be shame to waste it. But. . . it does seem to be getting late," Emma said, looking back to him. Her playful nature was gone, surprised by her uncertainty at Aaron's words. "How. . . How would you be able to do all that for me?" she asked innocently, creeping towards him slightly. "You are right, there is nothing I want more. What would I need to do for such an offer?"

His cold unbeating heart sank in his chest as she tensed under his grip. Aaron hadn't meant to frighten her or push her away. On top of all the frustration, something angered within him. Going from a world class killer to a...softie! How was this ever possible. The great Aaron Blackmoore, trailing after a human girl as if she was something special. He frowned for a moment and tried to regain his focus.
Idiot! That's exactly what she is. Special. You've gotten yourself into a mess of trouble here. his mind told him, and he nochalantly smiled for a second and then shifted his eyes back to the beautiful young girl in front of him. She was the kind of person he'd been hunting all his life. The young women, so eager to know him and share his bed, only to their own demise.

To his own relief, her fright seemed to fade and was replaced with interest yet again. He smiled when she remarked that she was serious about the swim, and the frivolic nature of him didn't mind taking a swim. But when she turned around and spoke again, it seemed as though she'd lost the urge, saying how it was getting late when only moments before she seemed to be willing to stay up all night. She doubted what he had told her.
"Come to think of it," Aaron started and regained his former composure. "It does sound a bit..." he shrugged. "Much." He tilted his head again and looked her straight in the eyes. A sign of truth. "I suppose that I've been used to having my will a little too much. A bad habit that I am indeed working on. I can give you everything I just said, and for no price." Aaron was silent for a moment. Except for one little price, right? his brain was still contemplating the thought of either changing her, or not. Either way she was probably going to find out about his nature at some point. "I understand your situation Emma, and I didn't mean to offend you or frighten you. I've been..." he searched for the right word. "Isolated." But what he'd been isolated from was the feelings she brought back to him, and the frown that appeared when he thought of that. feelings.
