Emmaline nodded in acceptance to Aaron's explanation of his travels, her eyes still searching the stars for any secrets that they would be willing to expose for her. She loved watching the stars, believing that each one was the residual energy from lost souls looking back upon their loved ones. Perhaps her parents were watching them, but even her naive mind found that difficult to accept. They were gone. . . But never forgotten. She would never let herself forget the wonderful people that she had been born to. One could only have one set of parents, and even though they had unwillingly abandoned her, Emma would not have traded them for the world.

She smiled and turned her head toward Aaron, her blue eyes glittering even in the dim moonlight. How perfect this night felt, how peaceful. Ethan would have never agreed to such a silly hobby of resting to view the stars. That was what Emma disliked about Ethan, his muscles overcame his mind hindering his ability to enjoy the simple passings of life. After all, the stars would only be in this exaction position once. Never again would everything line up in this exact moment. To enjoy the moment was something that Emma's father that stressed during his life, always taking the time to stop and watch nature's beauty no matter where he was.

"A lord?" Emma sighed softly looked to him with a smile. "It is a pity you won't let me call you Lord Aaron. The title suits you well." She grinned, continuing back to the subject of his father. "That must have been something. Such opportunity you had to explore the world so young! But, it is of no surprise, then, that you lost the ability to connect with people. Moving around so often must have been very lonesome for a young boy. Travels or not, perhaps it would have been better for your father to have given you a permeant place of residence where lasting friendships could be made. I couldn't imagine the loneliness you must have felt."

Emmaline smiled and rolled to her side, picking at the clovers in the grass as she pondered this thought. "Still, it must have been beautiful." She glanced to him, noticing his face was half hidden in the shadows. It seemed almost natural for him to be like this, a thought that Emma felt was odd. And yet, the mystery suited him well. "Do you have any siblings that made the travel any easier?" she inquired, curious as to his past. "I was an only child, but I always envied the siblings in towns. Especially those with younger sisters; what fun they must be. Father joked that he didn't want anyone to take attention away from me." She grinned to this, looking up to Aaron. "He always had too much pride in me."
