Seeing that he couldn't convince Joe to go, Ghostling darted to Garnet. "You're gonna need back-up, friend."

"Well... You big lot against one... That doesn't seem like a very fair fight now does it?" She growled, a pair of sizeable katana appearing in both of her hands.

"Hey, you don't know who you're messing with here!!!" Ghostling roared back, transforming into a being that looks like this:
The ghosts stopped laughing and stared at their large opponent. Alex jumped to Garnets side, "You should have brought Joe with you, this is something we can't do."
"So what?! Let's just see if we do just as fine without the jerk." Ghostling replied, this time he had a deep voice that suited his larger form, "You with me, Garnet?"

"Well, looks like Eminem wanna-be finally showed up." Ghostling said.
The ghosts were enraged by Joe's action and charged at the four. Alex could do little than shoot them with one gun while Ghostling showed off his new form's strength. A ray of light kept shining on Alex the entire time.
"Not yet...please...not yet..." he said. Alex began to feel dizzy, but his years of experience as a phantom enabled him to keep on fighting.

Before Alex could say anything else, ghosts swarmed him and knocked him out.

Meanwhile, Alex's eyes closed. He swore that he was dead. He saw the Golden City of Heaven and the people he loved who have died and moved on. He saw his parents, whose expressions were worried rather than happy. He knew it right away. His time was not now. He saw his allies back at battle and knew right away that he needed to help them. But his physical body was weak, he had to use other means.
On Earth, a glowing white sword descended from the heavens and landed in front of Joe.
"Use me." it seemed to tell him.

Alexwassure he was asking no one in particular, but he wanted an answer from Seroff and Curning. Surely they knew why Joe has to be the one using the awesome Sword. It just didn't seem fair to him, that's all.
Ghostling shrunk into his small, normal form and beganpunching the enemies. "Geez," he told Garnet and Joe, "what a heck of a 'first day on the job,' huh?'

"Joe," Alex said, "use this sword, swords ain't my department..."
Alex brings out his dual pistols, "...but GUNS ARE!!!"
He proceeded to taking down as many evil ghosts as possible. If Alex's calculations were correct,there were 38 ghosts, four of them, and maybe five if reinforcements arrive. But if Joe knew exactly what the freaking sword does, the battle would have ended seconds ago.
