Vladimir Kensenshou

King of the Fire Clan and former Lord of Wallachia

0 · 398 views · located in Earth

a character in “Children Of The Night”, as played by Captain Epic Awesome

Description

Vladimir Kensenshou
Nickname: Vlad
Clan: Fire
Age: 5,169
Rank: Lieutenant
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Image
Vladimir usually wears a long red overcoat, that works well with his tall and slight frame. His pale skin and red eyes set him off from humans and even some other vampires. His pitch black hair offsets from his red cloak and hat.
Powers: He does not have the basic powers of fire control, but he has amazing regenerative capabilities, even for a vampire. He is also much faster than other vampires.

Personality

Vladimir is hotheaded and cocky. He has a sharp mind and does not bow under pressure, like some weaker minds might. He is an experienced leader and war commander, and can (usually) hold back his personal emotions to make careful, calculated decisions when they are required.

Equipment

A pair of .50 caliber magnums pistols with elongated barrels for better accuracy. They have extremely large clips, which sometimes seem to have bottomless ammo. Other than those, he has his magically reinforced overcoat and his natural/supernatural abilities.

History

Vladimir was the ruler of the ancient kingdom of Wallchia, before the Elders interfered with his conquests of neighboring empires. He was on the brink of death after being caught between a vicious vampire battle. One of the Fire Clan took pity on him and turned him, saving his life. Vlad swore to take his revenge on the Elders who started this war and caused him to become this creature, and from then on has striven to gather lore on the Elders in order to find ways to destroy them, permanently. After that, many things have happened, but nothing worth remembering.

So begins...

"Good evening, my lords and ladies," Vladimir Kensenshou said as he walked through the door. He executed a graceful bow, that might even contain a trace of mockery. "I hope I'm not to late. My fellow clan members will be joining us shortly, I hope," he said, smiling at some of the prettier girls, even though they were all stunningly beautiful.

"Sho when does this meeting start? I'm starting to get restless." Airie whispered into to his ear looking around the shadow clan ruler's walked on in he deiced they had waited long enough and he was not the only one. the only leader's that were missing was the fire clan's funny Sho thought they had the most men there and yet they themselves are not here. looking around he saw the others were also ready to go so Sho deiced to step up although he was the second youngest there after Airie. "well i do believe now would be the right time" should got up from his seat and looked at all the member's gathered before him. despite how it looked he was rather worried and that was not the best thing to show here: weakness. he cleared his neck and snapped his finger's making it so his voice would be loud enough for everyone to hear him over everyone else. "My fellow Lord's and Lady's we have gathered here to discuss the matter of the awakening of the Elder's and i do believe that we have waited long enough to start. I will give my apology's to the rulers of the fire clan about starting without them. so i call this meeting to order." Sho sat back into his seat and waited for everyone to gather themselves and take ther seat's well if that was not nerve racking i don't know what is he thought to himself

Vladimir started to wonder where his clan was. The fire clan was not making an appearance. Did I not get this memo? He thought to himself. I hope they're not boycotting it....
He would keep silent for now, especially seeing as he wasn't royalty. But if things went wrong he might have to speak up. As a former war commander, he knew about temporary alliances. He had actually made one once, but he had broken it later. That was a fun slaughter....
But the Elders are powerful. He knew that. And to achieve his goal of annihilating all of them, he would need help. Just a single clan would not be enough. They would have to join together to succeed. Vladimir hoped the royalty was logical enough to set their history behind them, if even for a short time.

Zerlinda

Zerlinda quietly watched from the rooftop, it kind of bored her
Just sitting there watching some mortals, and some fellow vampires in disguise, walk around. She was concealing her own presence, as she didn't like being questioned. Her eyes were still focused in some of the vampires which were, apparently, following their food, that was until she felt the need to leave. Maybe it was time to check out whatever was going on in the meeting
But that was prohibited, and she's the type to be strict with rules. She did take on thing into her mind after all of this: “It's not prohibited if you're unseen.” That was the code of nearly all that were like her.

She was a spy, and one of the best, otherwise she'd be dead by now. The risky part was the fact that the king and queen of her kind were there, and there was only one way to eavesdrop.

In the blink of an eye, she was out of the place, and already inside their clan's territory. She was still invisible to others, and she was grateful that there was no one around. There's a small sphere of darkness in front of her, opening some sort of portal in the meeting place, though it was invisible in the eyes of the others for a limited amount of time. It wasn't as risky as her going there, and if she's unlucky enough, they'd find out that it was her doing. But, having concealed and cleaned everything, it wasn't at all that bad. This could give her only up to ten minutes, or at least before they notice. Blatant lies could also get her out of this, anyway. She cleared her thoughts and started looking at the sphere, already showing the image of the meeting place. It seemed so simple yet grand, and she heard someone speak, “The Blood Contract can simply be a last resort, as in if all else fails.” The voice said. Zerlinda wasn't much of a good guesser, but she knew who might've suggested the said contract–Seraphina, of course.

“Daring as ever,” she thought silently as she watched what could be called a ruckus, “I wonder how this would go,” she talked to herself in her mind, even imagining whatever could happen. Years and years of being separated, surely this wouldn't end without a fight, and blood.

Draconi

“I'm terribly sorry for all this, I do not mean to interrupt,” she says as soon as she entered the room, eying the others. They were all different in so many ways, and she was, apparently, the youngest-looking one there. She was, although, aware that the Air clan's leaders were young--far too young, maybe.

“We didn't wish to burden anyone in any way,” she clarifies, “There has been some trouble, my clan's King and Queen had some rather urgent business, so, I'll be their representative for now. Rest assured, they are to arrive.” She tried to look as encouraging as she could, but truth be told, she had no idea what happened to them, and wherever they were. She felt somewhat uneasy, and that wasn't a good thing. But the only thing she could do was to substitute them, because this one meeting was essential to everyone.

She walked to where Vladimir was and sat near him, “Do enlighten me with whatever happened, Lieutenant,” she says in a quieter voice without looking at the man, “Spare me the unnecessary details.” Her golden-like eyes still looking around, staring at each person in the room for a short while, she didn't want to seem rude, not in any way. She couldn't risk messing anything up.

Vladimir was bored. There was no way around it, boring meetings about how they were going to become allies drove him crazy. War was more his taste.

Just then the one of the footmen came through the door, saying "Pardon me, my lords and ladies, but I have a private message for Vladimir.

Vladimir sighed with relief. His savior. He would never come to one of these meetings again. He couldn't even let his opinion be known! That was for royalty only. Screw the royalty, they can keep their secret meetings to themselves. Vladimir stood up, saying "Excuse me. I seem to have a commitment. I'll be back in a second. Or not." He then took his leave.

He walked out the door and came face to face with a member of the fire clan. The vampire went down onto one knee and said "My liege."

"What is the meaning of this?" Vladimir asked. "I am not your king!"

"You are now. I have come directly from the Royal Mansion. There was nothing left but a pile of ash. No clues as to the suspect of the murder. It must have been someone extremely powerful to have killed the King so quickly."
"What? The king is dead?"

"I'm afraid so, my liege."

"Damn it. Now I have to go to meetings. Son of a..."

Vladimir went back into the meeting room, walked over to the chair reserved for the Fire King, and sat down in it.

"It seems that there has been a complication. The Fire King is now myself. It seems he was brutally scorched to death. A shame.

"It seems that I have to attend these Goddamn meetings. Well, if I'm going to be stuck here, I might as well make myself comfortable."

Vladimir kicked back his chair and put his feet on the table. Screw these uptight royals.

"Sorry, sir," Tenebre answered. "No news on this end. Believe you me, I'm just as bored as you." Not so much irritated. He liked seeing a bit of chaos amongst the strongest in the land.

"Don't you dare leave me alone here, husband." From his queen's tone, it was pretty obvious who wore the pants in the relationship. But he'll have to pick on that another time. Everyone started chattering again, even the Air clan.

"Now, calm down, y'highness. It'll be over soon; at least I hope. Then we can get on with our endless lives and prepare our army for the elders' arrival." Adding his opinion to Vladimir's news, "We're outmatched as it is now, with our most aggressive royalty reduced to a pile of smoldering dust." He said it with a stylish and sarcastic tinge of false sadness, as if he wanted it totally obvious that he was enjoying the chaos he could feel about to ensue within the Fire clan.

Incena Fleuri

Incena wasn't paying much attention when Akane appeared. "Got it," she said. "I'll be back in a good hour or so!" With that and another flash of lightning, she disappeared. Granted, her sense of time was probably as distorted as a surrealist's rendition of a clock, but that's beside the point.

Searching for her victim over the skies, Incena was playing with her new power a little more. She made a ball the first time, so she wondered if she could make anything else. A knife was the first attempt, and while it fizzled out the first time, it was fully formed the second go around. Looking almost like a regular knife as it floated in front of her phoenix form's beak, the little lightning blade glowed a light orange, almost like a fire. Matching sparks jumped around the entire construct, practically eager to stab into something. However, with all the playing around, she nearly missed who she was going for!

Down below, in a nice glass-roof building was none other than the king of the Fire Clan, Kenshi Reikokuna. Even from up in the sky, Incena could hear him practice-flirting... and smell sex. Ugh. Hasn't he ever heard of a steam bath? [Okay, Incena hadn't even thought of the term until she learned these new-fangled languages, but she's been doing it for a while!] Regardless, it told her exactly how to deal with him. Retreating to the ground outside the building -- well, it was more like a castle... mansion? Yeah, that's it -- Incena returned to her normal form. For a bit of pity effect, she singed parts of her arms and face.

"Excuse me," she started, fake-struggling her way inside and using the walls to prop herself up. The interior of this place was pretty amazing. The ceiling between the first and second floor, as well as all the interior walls were made of lightly-tinted glass, so the decor could be seen regardless of where you were inside. The kitchen seemed to have the newest cooking tools except for a stove; the Fire king probably liked to use his powers more. Right next to it was the dining room, with a table big enough for six. Why would he ever have visitors? Or at least that many. Moving on, there were at least four full bedrooms; each one seemed to have their own adjacent bathroom, too. It must have taken years on end to get this swanky place.

"I hear the voice of a beautiful young lady." Kenshi was already in pervert mode, apparently. Either that or he'd never been out of it. After talking to himself in the main hall's mirror, he turned to his elder and tried to show some hospitality, unaware of who the guest actually was. "Oh my, you're in terrible shape. Come in, come in, I'll make sure you're taken care of promptly." He rushed to Incena's side, leading her to a spare bedroom, but not before a little intentional spark jumped between the two. For the next minute or so she could feel Kenshi mind-groping her, even if he was just holding her arm over his shoulders. Nothing seemed out of bounds to hit his 5,000 mark.

Wait.... How'd she know that? Incena didn't realize the brain had electricity running through it; the impulses reached her thoughts like mind reading, and she couldn't control it. The entire way to the bedroom, all he was thinking about was the odd chance of a pretty girl he hadn't met coming into his home.

Deal with it, Fleuri, her inner voice reassured her, he'll be dead the moment he tries to get any.

The moment they reached the spare room's bed and Kenshi tried to set her down, she pulled him down on top of her, arms wrapped around his back. One hand was free, a knife just like before forming in her grasp.

"Nn, sorry," she apologized, trying her best to keep looking defenseless. Kenshi responded, chuckling as he held himself up on the mattress.

"It's no trouble, miss." He leaned in ever closer, the couple seconds spent doing so feeling like an eternity and a half for the poor gal.

With only an inch of air left between each other's lips, Incena sank the knife into the Fire King's lower back, and was answered by him arching outward, opening his mouth and trying to sound out, "What the hell?" His voice didn't come, though. The entirety of his body was nearly paralyzed by the flowing electricity. From the inside out, the heat was searing everything and liquefying his organs. Before long, his skin burst into flames to try and get away, yet the sparks disappeared, not only unable to harm Incena but kept from being effective by the constant and increasingly intense shocking. Since he was probably wondering why he couldn't stop her, the elder clarified.

"You shouldn't try to burn your elders, honey." That said, he couldn't really understand what she was saying. He didn't need to; his body was being burned alive without need of a blaze. She rolled Kenshi over on the bed so she couldn't be stuck under him, and pushed the knife completely into his back, letting the lightning completely course through every fiber of his being. The next few moments were spent feebly struggling, before Kenshi's body was reduced to ash. The innards fell apart, scattered in a big mess in a shell of skin that was held together only by the still air. Stepping away from the husk, Incena took a good look at what she'd made.

His legs were hanging between the bed and the ground, already crumbling. His arms were spread out as if he was trying to push the elder away, and his mouth was open just as it was when the knife was dug into his back, like he was screaming for his dissolute life. All in all, it was an arguably sadistic and murderous work of art.

"That felt good." Leaving what used to be the lord of the Fire clan behind in the mansion, Incena disappeared to return to Saren and Melissa. In her new trademark flash of lightning, she was back in the clearing with the three elders.

Zerlinda

The way they all acted was amusing Zerlinda. She didn’t need to do anything to notice that a lot of them had hate for each other. It was wicked, or so she thought. She was, perhaps, getting too carried away with this. But she didn’t forget that her time was nearly over. She had to close the portal, or they’ll notice—and who knows what dangers she’d face by then.
Before she could close it, a man announced the Fire Clan’s King’s death.

“They’re already starting?” Zer thought, referring to the elders, of course. She completely closed it, and life seemed to continue on its boring pace. “Heh,” she refrained from chuckling, “Time to play with the others.”

In a second or two, she was already in the Fire Clan’s territory, and this wasn’t the first time she came. Before she could even make a step, someone bumped into her. “What bad luck,” she thought.

“When did you get there?” The lady asked her, she was thinking as to whether she should reply or make a run for it, but she couldn’t, she stayed long enough to, at least, be recognized.

Draconi

“Both of the Fire Clan nobles must be here and all I see is a guard, no offence, Vladimir, and a messenger, no offence yet again.” The Water Clan’s queen spoke.

“No offense was taken, ma’am,” she replied in all sincerity. Afterwards, she remained silent. The only thing she could do here was to reply if she was being talked to, she couldn’t push her opinion in, it wasn’t her job to, and she believed she wasn’t in place to do that.

It was getting frustrating, watching all the others try to be polite and calm, but she knew they could barely stand being with each other. Draconi was merely listening until she felt as if some ice hit her, though it was different
It seemed unreal; it was unreal. This wasn't a very good sign, indeed. Suddenly, she felt another’s presence. Her head jolted to look at the man, “Pardon me, my lords and ladies, but I have a private message for Vladimir.”

Her eyes were filled with suspicion; it was rare for someone, especially a man that’s not of high ranks, to just barge in during a meeting like this. Everyone knew these things were important, and Draconi was well aware than this wasn’t an ordinary message, nor was it just private. It was, in her assumption, important. Thoughts were invading her mind, she didn’t even have any idea what anyone else was saying. It was rare for Draconi, especially due to the fact that it’s necessary for her, not to pay attention.

In a couple of minutes, Vladimir came back and announced something, “It seems that there has been a complication. The Fire King is now myself. It seems he was brutally scorched to death. A shame.”

Her eyes widened, but she immediately composed herself, “It seems that I have to attend these Goddamn meetings. Well, if I’m going to be stuck here, I might as well make myself comfortable.” Vladimir, now a king, continued. The way he acted surprised her, but she couldn't protest, at all. Not now, not ever.

Kenshi couldn’t die so easily, and there’s only one person—if they can be considered such—that can do that
 The elders.

In one of the flames in their territory, a dragon, no more than 4 feet in length, spawned. It was one of her pets, so to speak. It slithered into the mansion, she had to see for herself, but she can’t just leave the meeting place after going there.

Meanwhile, the cloud in her mind was vanishing, “May I have the permission to speak?” she asked the others.

As Sho heard Airie speak and give her thought's on the matter as well as her speech, although it was a little rough it was good. Sho started thinking of what he was going to give her. going deeper into his thought's so to make sure that she would not hear what he was planing. thing over what he knew about her and her power's he decided on two thing's. If Airie was to survive the upcoming month's that she needed to be stronger to survive, Sho knew that he would not let her die but he also wanted her to be able to take care of herself. Sho decided that he would teach her about Air pressure, it was a rather versatile art that could be used in a good amount of fight's. the second he thought he would show her "That". "I believe that might make her happy". sho looked Around and saw the fire clan lieutenant sit in the fire clan's king's seat.

Sho was shocked at what he was hearing "It seems that there has been a complication. The Fire King is now myself. It seems he was brutally scorched to death. A shame." Sho had hear that the deceased fire king what very powerful and a force to be recon with but to hear that he was dead so soon after there awakening when they would be at there wost terrified him. "How powerful are these monsters" Sho looked at Vladimir and Said "Congratulation's Vladimir on your rise to power and I am sorry for your lost" Sho gave a light bow with his head out of respect for his new found rank "so far we have given our own thought's on the matter of the awakening of the Elders but you have not been able to untell this point because of your rank but now you may speak with us on equal term's and i would like to hear your thought's on our given subject, and what we have talked about so far, the city, the pact hunting, the blood back and so forth" giving a light recap not just to him but the group as a hole. Sho awaited for the responses to flow in.

Sera's attention was starting to wander when Vladimir said "It seems that there has been a complication. The Fire King is now myself. It seems he was brutally scorched to death. A shame.". For a second, she was shocked, but that quickly to calculation and a bit of pleasure

So that annoying pervert was dead. Good. Of course it meant that the elders were just that powerful because degenerate or not, Kenshi was a strong fire wielder. She also couldn't help but feel that if the circumstances were different, this instability in the Fire clan would be advantageous to the other clans. Shaking off her not so compassionate thoughts, Sera got up and faced Vladimir " Congratulations, Vladimir. I hope you make a good King" Wow, lying sure was easy to her.

"But now" she continued after a short pause "We need to make a decision. Sitting here, bickering among ourselves is not an option. We need to do something and fast, before the rest of us die along with our clans." She stopped and looked around the other royals, waiting for their reactions.

Sighing out of slight disbelief in what she was about to say, Skyler continued from Seraphina's statement.

"I have to agree that being here is unsettling for all of us, but we can't instigate a furious debate between any of us; it'll get us nowhere. First, to at least get everyone on the same page, I propose a general toast to Vladimir as the Fire Clan's king." She wasn't going to thank Vlad for replacing the lecherous cretin that was the late King Reikokuna, but she could at least give him a congratulations on the newfound status.

"Second, I'll return to my previous notion of a general from everyone's army temporarily training alongside another clan's warriors, teach them how to fight like a different clan does." And now she had a good reason for saying it, even if it did go against her reasons for wanting to leave the meeting. "Think about it. Kenshi was scorched to death. He, king of the Fire clan and (regrettably) a master of everything heat, was burnt. It's obvious the only things capable of that would have been the Fire's Elder and himself. I doubt even a volcano would keep him from coming back just to screw another girl." Herself not included, since she'd have smothered him in dirt and buried him alive.

"What would happen if Dominick had to fight the Elder of the Water clan?" Maybe he'd be drowned, or dehydrated; worse, exsanguinated if his Elder could control more liquids than just water. "What about ANY of us with our own respective Elders? How long before another of us is destroyed by what we know best? As much as I hate saying it, and I've said it at least once already, we should prepare our warriors for more than just our own Elder, because we may as well decapitate ourselves trying to take them on as we are." Then came the conclusion; what Skyler could see as the best logical choice. "An exchange of generals and trainers to allow a clan to fight another's Elder -- one they could have an advantage against -- may be the only way we will have a fighting chance."

It was then that she noticed another soldier coming in. Just another common messenger approaching Vladimir. Since Skyler was right next to the guy now, she could hear every word. Well, the messenger wasn't very quiet anyways.

"Sorry, sire," he said, "but the queen has expired. Suicide. It's recommended to choose a new consort amongst your subjects." With his head down, the messenger disappeared in a mass of flames.

As the messenger disappeared in a flash of flames, Vladimir wanted to shoot something, preferably a living being. But he could not show his reaction to the rest of the royals, he could not appear weak, especially not now, becoming king so recently.
Now he had to choose a new queen.

Decisions already!  He could just pick a beautiful queen who was easily manipulated, but then his enemies would use her to. Better to pick someone who had a strong enough will to resist the enemy leaders.

He could pick Rowena, she had risen fairly high in the ranks of intrigue. But she had to much ambition. That was dangerous for Vlad. Maybe...Draconi? She was already here. That would help a lot, give the Fire Clan an extra voice in this chaotic excuse for a meeting. Royals and their posturing.

"Suicide, eh?  An undignified way to go," Vladimir spoke aloud. He took his feet off the table and looked around the room and found Draconi.

"I guess I will have to choose a new queen," Vladimir said. He drew a single pistol, then flicked it onto the table, spinning. It completed several rotations, before coming to a stop, pointing directly at Draconi. Vladimir has judged his flick perfectly.

He hunched over the table to look down the sights on his gun, and announced: "And the winner is... Draconi! Congratulations, you have won...a permanent seat at all the driest meetings there are! Come on over to claim your prize!" Vlad told her, gesturing to the empty chair by his side.

"Now that that's out of the way, I believe that in order to take down these Elders, we have to join forces and hunt them down one by one. In order to do this, all of our troops need to be well versed in the techniques of combat for each individual Elder. I agree with Skyler and think that we should send representatives to each others armies and have them rotate around until all the troops have been instructed by the Elder combat expert from each clan.

"We need to move together to a easily defendable position to train our armies. We have to hunt down these damned Elders and end their miserable lives once and for all. Now who's with me?"
