Kingdom of Altiair

Altiair is an ancient country that was once part of a huge Orc nation. The last ruler of that nation was incredibly ruthless and power hungry. He had spread the nation to such an extent that he ruled a land that was about four or five times the size as it is now. The ruler had claimed vast resources that would have made all of his competitors quake, yet the whole nation was brought to civil war. Hundreds of factions fought for freedom from oppression across the thousands of square kilometers. That was when the Elves came to strength, led by the 1st Elf King of Altiair. Ialrom Meriil. They ended many fights across the land, eventually slaying the Orc king and banishing his followers never to return. The elves had allied with the large population of Changelings and the Elves after ending their slavery, worked very hard to protect what little land they had. What they discovered was that in their unity, many neighboring villages and factions actually sought refuge instead of war, so many would seek their aid. Eventually the Elves lead a small nation, but they would not exceed their own borders except to lend aid to neighbors or hunt those that would threaten the people within their care. Altiair has been around since the 1st age. Surviving thousands of years of history and even succeeded in uniting the races against the Fell Lord Kyros. It is currently ruled by a long line of Elf kings and queens have always been wise and understanding. Respecting their ancestral roots.
