Personality

Darse is quite antisocial, but he is willing to get the job done, and he is quite loyal. He has a truly strong attachment to his girlfriend and parents and other people he deems friends. He has a fondness for romance novels and he’s quite the escapist. Darse is also determined, yet analytical and patient, although his emotions truly lead him in the end. He’s also a genius engineer, and he has a great fondness for technology and new things. As far as the war goes, he doesn’t really care, just as long as his family is untouched.

Equipment

Darse is skilled with a multitude of firearms and weapons, including but not limited to assault rifles, pistols, sniper rifles, missile launchers and shotguns, but he prefers to use CQC, a field in which he has no peer. On most of his missions, he carries a pistol and an assault rifle, but he may bring a sniper rifle instead of the assault rifle if the mission calls for it. He’ll also carry flash bangs, gas grenades and proximity mines. He'll carry his pistol on most occasions as an emergency weapon.

His helmet is equipped with proximity and mine sensors, air filtering system to protect him from toxins and toggle-able night vision and heat vision and a two-way radio. He has armor covering his torso, forearms, biceps, back of hands, (loosely) his knuckles, shins, outer-thighs, waist and... private parts and the top of his feet, but not his shoulders, wrists, ankles or abdomen. This is to allow mobility. In addition, the elbow and knee guards are actually extensions of his forearm and thigh guards that actually cover the elbows and knees when their limbs are straight.

His armor is powered by a fusion reactor built into the back of his armor and then covered in more armor. His arm and leg armor components are also capable of boosting the force applied by him, but not by too much. Darse also underwent genetic alterations, increasing his physical performance.

History

Darse was an Elite Solitary Opposition Impairment Operative for the Western Human Military Ground Forces under the name Eric Hawthorne, but he grew tired of the work and faked his own death in order to escape the military life. His parents and girlfriend, who he kept a secret from the military, know of his survival. He now works as a freelance mercenary, bodyguard or assassin, and he's one of the best (but as far as the other ESOIOs go, he’s about 8th place).
