|Personality|
Frederick definitely lives up to his C List status. He is your typical nerd when it comes to academics. Straight A's for him is not hard. As long as he is in class and takes decent notes, the rest comes easy. HE even has the glasses to match. He prefers his contacts, but there are days when putting in contacts is an extreme challenge. He got into Crossroads Academy, but passing a test with close to a perfect score. Though school comes easy for him, he does put effort in and make sure that his grades stay up to standard.
Beyond school, Frederick likes to believe he is a pretty cool guy to hang around. He always tries to stay positive and make people smile. He loves cracking corny jokes and messing around. Video games are the true love of his life. He tends to spend more time on that then he does with school. But he does make sure that he hangs out with his friends. Freddy does not have an angry bone in his body. He treats everyone nicely and with the upmost respect, unless they prove to not deserve it.
He can be a bit too trusting sometimes. He believes that everyone comes in with such good intentions, but that is not always the case. Freddy knows that, but sometimes he can't help, but have high hopes. There have been countless times where some A list has used him for homework. He does not like them very much, but even so, when one of them seem friendly to him he will be friendly to them. All in all, he is a complete sweetheart who just wants to do well for himself.
Frederick Luis Gains was born and raised in Chino California. According to the IRS, his family classifies as Middle Class. His father is a small time lawyer while his mother his a nurse. Freddy is also the only child. Not that he minded to have a sibling. In his neighborhood, there were always kids around to be with. Frederick's bloodline traces back to Europe, but he has no idea how far back. On his mother's side he is dutch and on his father's side he is British. In all honesty, he wants to visit there.
As a young child, Frederick has had a fondness for academics. He is very intelligence. His IQ score surpasses the score of most adults. His parents have always pushed the importance of education for him. He always had access to the library, tutors, and anything else that helped Freddy do well. During his free time, he would be caught at the library for hours. He would read anything and everything. He would visit different libraries to make sure that he got enough variety of books.
He discovered his love for journalism and writing when he was in middle school. His school had a club that was dedicated to finding stuff about the school and posting it on the school's webpage. It was not an official club, it was more of job. But he was offered and he fell in love with it. He attended games for free, got to take pictures, got to talk to important people and then he wrote about it. He covered everything from games to student elections to county board meetings. Frederick wants to work for a newspaper company when he gets out into the real world.
Before he entered high school, Frederick did extensive research on Crossroads Academy. He wanted the best education and the best chance for a college. His parents would only allow him to go if he got a good enough scholarship. Freddy had constantly kept in contact with the Freshman Admittance Chair. He eventually found a scholarship opportunity in the form of a test. It was math, reading, and writing. If he got a high enough score, they would give him a scholarship. Freddy studied and passed. So long as he keeps up his good grades he can remain at Crossroads and write for the newspaper.
