Chase's Story

Nicholas glanced over, with an annoyed look on his face. "Stay out of this, brother! That pathetic servant of ours was late with breakfast, so I decided to get my own meal!" He laughed. His eyes widened, as white cloth burst out of his opponent's cloak. His eyes followed it, as it pierced through the bodies of the bats, erasing them. "Interesting." He mumbled to himself, as his palm began to heal. "Clever trick, but my bats can come at you as fast as you can make that cloth." He chuckled, summoning a larger swarm of bats to attack Rondine. He turned around to the other vampire he referred to as his brother. "Any objections, Chase? Why did you come here, anyway? Training again, perhaps?" He asked.

Rondine laughed in his mind as the swarm of bats came at him. 'Well, he seems to get something wrong. The cloth is just a extention of my ability... So say Adios to the bats as soon as they touch me...' he thought as he held his sword tightly in his hand and started to run toward the vampire. Still, the situation itself was not that good. It didn't change that he was only made for close combat and unless he could get very close to the vampire, he couldn't do anything. If the vampire did a long distence attack like the bats on him, he will oviously get exhausted and fall. Also, a new vampire who Rondine just spotted, might decide to help his,... I think brothers, help his brother out. 'I have to get close enough to swing a sword!' Rondine decided as he jumped into the swarm of bats as the ones that touched him got canceled.

Nicholas looked over to his brother, who was running away. "That's right, brother! Run!" he laughed. "He annoys me, but him and our sister are all I have." He chuckled. After hearing Rondine's reasoning, he sheathed his sword and put his trenchcoat on, turning away. "Very well then, Rondine Crossroad. You make a very valid point." He said. He waited until the humans were far away enough. "Perhaps we shall duel again, one day. Just don't get weaker while I'm gone, because you actually put up a good fight. Thank you for the entertainment." The bats suddenly disappeared and his wounds healed. "My name? My name is Nicholas Deathwing." he said slyly, before transforming into a swarm of bats and flying towards the family castle.

He flew into one of the castle windows, transformed again. He saw his brother on the conch. "Ah, your fangs are longer than usual. Hungry? You know, if you got their earlier, you could of drank from the girl I killed. But that's not you. You're always tardy for everything." He chuckled.

"Y-You called, master?" Lora stammered, walking into the room where Prince Chase sat. Suddenly, a swarm of bats flies through the window and forms the shape of Prince Nicholas. Lora gave a squeal of surprise and jumped back, before she realized who it was and gave a small bow. Prince Nicholas didn't seem to notice her. "Ah, your fangs are longer than usual. Hungry?" he commented. "You know, if you got their earlier, you could of drank from the girl I killed. But that's not you. You're always tardy for everything." He gave a small chuckle, and Lora walked backwards slowly, trying not to be noticed.

"That was...eventful."
"This is all your fault!"
"What?! How the hell is it my fault?"
"If you had followed orders, we wouldn't have been in that mess!"
Edan rolled his eyes. They were walking towards the butchers, where they knew there was a tunnel to the underground. "You can't order me. I'm not a recruiter, I'm a fighter, remember?" Edan pointed out. "Not a very good one," Jerry muttered. Edan glared at him. They entered the butchers and the smell of the dead overwhelmed them. Edan nodded at Kathy. They began down the tunnels, when Jerry stopped. "What?" Cable asked impatiently. "We forgot about Lucifer!" Jerry exclaimed. Edan cursed and headed back up the tunnel, the other two close behind.
