The Drifts is a series of three islands that are connected by massive ice drifts. The three islands are Nekmor, the main island that lies in the center of the three, Moryicon, the eastern and smallest island, and Rytinitor, the middle island which lies to the west only a few miles farther from the coasts of Nekmor than Moryicon.
The Drifts is a low mana zone that is constantly covered in a wailing blizzard and ice flows around all three of the islands, making it almost as harsh to live on land as it is to go on boats. The only reason that any living being would want to even travel to the zone is the fact that the mountains that take up most of all three islands are filled with countless ores and gems, if you can break the frozen dirt and stone to get to them, that is.
At the top of the highest mountain on Nekmor, which also happens to be in the middle of the island, lies a large hardened mana gel crystal. This crystal is responsible for both the constant storm and the undead that inhabit the area.
The undead who inhabit these lands care little of the temperature or the storms. Most just go about in the mines where they live away from the surface. The undead's capital city is Lokip, which is located in the heart of the biggest mountain on Nekmor. Just for trading, the undead have ports and safe travel zones that are heavily guarded on the outer islands.
Looks wise, the undead are just skeletons in either armor or robes. The color of the eyes shows the power of the undead, green being the weakest, blue being average, and red is near god-like.
Thanks to the crystal, the undead live in colonies that communicate to other colonies through undead mages that act as the messaging service for the undead that live here.
