Korolee's Story

Misty watched his sister leave, and decided to follow her. He crept and slunk and wriggled along stealthily behind her, and was never further than 2 trees away. Eventually she stopped, and sat still, waiting for someone or something. Misty waited too, hiding up a tree out of sight. Finally, Korolee came out of the trees and greeted Orchid warmly. He smiled and tackled her to the ground, and began to play fight with her. He laughed, then just lay for a while, and thought s he looked up at the tree branches. "I'm glad to have a friend like you Orchid."

Jenna saw Flametail leave, and stood up, her knees creaking slightly. "Whelp, I think I'll go outside for some fresh air. It's very dusty in this cave." Snowpaw watched her stand, and lay down with his head in his paws, observing the fireflies and thinking on his family. Jenna smiled and meandered out to the cliff. She saw Flametail sitting there and subtly beckoned him with one finger down to the forest floor so they could speak privately. Once Flametail followed her down. She put her hands on her hips. "What is it?"

Orchid smiled widely when her friend Korolee came out and tackled her. She giggled then flipped him over and pinned him. "Haha~" She said and layed next to him. He said that he was glad to have a friend like her and she blushed a little. "I-I'm just glad i have a friend" She said and looked away from him. "So what do you want to do now? We don't have much time its going to get dark soon" She asked and smiled at him.


"Well I'm going home." He said with a laugh and turned back into a human when the two were out of sight. "You can come with if you want." He said while starting to walk. He walked to the spring near Jenna house and parted the bushes to expose a yellow custom motorcycle. He grabbed his helmet and put it on after dragging the bike out into the open and onto a dirt path. "Well, you coming or not?" He said with a smile and a playful wink and got on his bike.

Kioni watched as Flaimtail left and went to ask orchid and Misty a question but the weren't there. "what the....where'd they go?" he said looking around the cave. "We have sneaky children" He said with a sigh. He sat down next to Nightfur and wrapped his tail around hers. "What are we going to do with them.." He said with a slight chuckle.

Korolee lay and pondered for a while. He grinned and sat up. "Let's see who can climb the highest! I'll go first!" He laughed and started up the tree, his claws digging into the bark and moss as he ascended. He leaped from branch to branch and got higher and higher, he eventually got to Misty's branch and almost fell off. "Who are you?!" Misty smiled and called down to his sister."Orchid, care to introduce me?"

Jenna looked at the motorcycle, and put a finger to her chin, pursing her lips. She thought on it, and after a little while she grinned. She then hopped on behind Jack and held out her hand. "Got a helmet for me?" She smiled at him, her red hair blowing gently in the wind, and her eyes sparkling as she awaited the helmet and the ride.

Nightfur laughed with Kioni and sighed, leaning on his shoulder. "Ah, I don't know, but they're gonna be great." She then looked at her dad and frowned. "Are you gonna stay here for the night, or do you want to go home?" Snowpaw muzzled his daughter, and smiled. "I'll stay for the night. Might as well." He grinned at them both, then got into a free bed, deciding to sleep early.

Orchid giggles as she watched him climb the tree until he asked about who was in the tree with him. "Thats my brother, Misty. Who by the way is really nosey right now." She said, unamused with the fact that her brother had followed her. "Why are you here Misty? Why did you follow me?" She asked.

Jack smiled and handed her a helmet. "You'd better hold on tight." He said laughing as he started the bike. As soon as she had wrapped her arms around his torso he took off on the dirt road towards his house, passing hers on the way. It took about five minutes on his motorcycle to get to his house on the top of the mountain. He pulled into the very long driveway and road up to his incredibly big house. "We're here" He said as he stopped the bike and tuned it off. " He took off his helmet and got off the bike after she did. Jack wheeled the bike over to its spots and retuned the helmets to their spots too and walked up to the house and opened the door and motioned Jenna to go inside.


"I know they'll be great. i just can't help but worry about them, they're still so little..." he said with a sigh.

Misty stuck his tongue out at her and got down the tree in a quarter of the time it took Korolee to get up. He landed next to his sister and tickled her with his tail. "Even though I'm only 30 seconds older, I might as well look out for my little sis!" He laughed and licked her face. Then he turned to Korolee who was now on the ground. Misty noticed he was staring at Misty's blind eye and coughed. "Who exactly are you?" Korolee looked Misty in both of his eyes and replied, kinda quietly. "I'm Korolee." Misty smiled softly, and nodded at him. "Pleased to meet you." He turned to Orchid, and a querying look came to his face. "How long have you known each other?"

Jenna closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of the wind on her face as the motorbike zipped along. It only lasted five minutes but it felt way longer. She only opened her eyes when the motorbike came to a stop. She gaped at the massive house in front of her and stumbled off the bike. The place was massive! She stood, stunned for a while, before she realised Jack was holding the door open for her. She walked in, and flopped down on a couch, her legs stretched out. She reckoned she'd best take off her shoes. She took off her converse and socks, putting them by the side of the couch. She wriggled her bare toes, the plush rug under her feet tickling slightly. She looked around at the large room. "Nice place you got here."

Nightfur licked her mate's head, and lay down, closing her eyes. "Don't worry, they've already proved they can fend for themselves. Just sleep now." She purred and swayed Kioni's tail with her own, luring him into sleep.

Misty shrugged. "No reason, just curious." He lay down, his chin on a pile of leaves, and he looked at his sister and Korolee. "What should we do?" Korolee shrugged and looked at Orchid.

Jenna watched Jack mix up his own drink, and lay back, looking at the ceiling. She sighed and replied. "A beer will be fine thanks." She rolled over onto her belly, and leaned her chin in her hands, watching Jack. "Yeah, that's my house. I live there with my mum. Ha! I remember falling in that pond when I was 8! I was trying to be a fish, and almost drowned." She chuckled, and sat up, bringing her knees to her chest. "What about you? Who's your family? Do you live with anyone?" She raised an eyebrow, and blew a strand of hair out of her face.

Jack grabbed a beer from the fringe and instead of drinking the pop he just grabbed the bottle of bourbon and sat down next to her, handing her the beer. " Well, Ive lived here pretty much all my life, till about 3 years ago when we moved for my fathers business. We recently came back though. I live here with my dad, but he's either at work or flying to his girlfriends house in france, so he's never home. " He said taking quite a big gulp of the bourbon he had. He didn't like that his father was never home, but then again it didn't matter much because they weren't close at all. " Well what else do you want to do? Other than sit here and drink. " He asked, not sure what to do, girls didn't visit his house very often.


"Well, i think you should go home, they're probably very worried about you. " Orchid said, not wanting to share her new friend just yet. She jumped up into the tree next to her and sat there. " Y'know, especially with everything grandpa said today. " She added and signaled for Korolee to come up in the tree with her. Then batted at his ear when he did.

Jenna took the beer, and took the lid off with her, mouth, trying to look cool. She did get the lid off, but she also got a split lip. She took a sip of beer, and listened to Jack. She lay back, and looked at the ceiling, unsure what to do. She thought for a moment, sipping the beer as she did so. She then smiled wickedly, and spoke, still looking at the ceiling. "You got any Nerf guns?"

As Korolee clambered up the tree to Orchid, Misty scrunched up his nose and glared at his sister. "If they were worried, they'd be out here trying to get me inside! And anyway, why should you get to stay outside and not me if I did go inside!" He then promptly climbed up the tree and sat with them, his tail flicking to help him keep balance as he climbed. Korolee wanted to know what their grandpa had said, but decided against asking, thinking he would sound too nosy.

" What kind of self respecting twenty year old doesnt have a stash of Nerf guns?" Jack said as he got up, took her hand in his, and ran with her to the Nerf vault. Upon opening the Nerf vault there shone a room with every Nerf gun and billet ever sold. It was a Nerf warriors heaven, and Jack was proud of his collection. He even had one that hadn't even officially come out yet. " Do i have any Nerf guns? Pfftt. What do you think?" He said with a smirk. "Well M'lady, Suit up!" He said and handed her a military grade stealth and protection suit, equipped with silly string and cool glasses that made you look like a boss. " Oh, these suits were modified so that every time you get hit with a nerf dart, the suit gives you a tiny shock that tickles super bad. We're going to play extreme Nerf war. " He stated with a devious look on his face and a glint in his eye.

"Well i have a friend to protect me if i get in trouble. He cant protect both of us now can he? " Orchid said, sticking her tongue out at her brother. " Besides you know dads worried about what grandpa said earlier, he has no reason to worry about me. " She stated and looked up at night sky. Her tail accidentally brushed against Korolees and Orchid ended up blushing a little the scooting about an inch farther away from him. She looked back up at the sky and sighed again. Wishing she could catch all the stars and fill the cave with them. K

Misty stood up, his eye filled with a quiet rage. "Oh, so I need protecting huh? Cause I'm half blind?!" His fur started to stand on end, and Korolee, still blushing from the tail brush, was slowly moving away, trying not to get caught up in the argument. Misty didn't notice, focusing on his sister. "Just because I'm half blind, doesn't mean I cant look after myself! I proved that already, remember?! I COULD HAVE DIED THE OTHER NIGHT, BUT I'M STILL HERE AREN'T I?!" He hissed, approaching his sister slowly, his eye filled with a bigger anger than before. "AND WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU ALL OF A SUDDEN?! I THOUGHT YOU WERE ALL ABOUT STANDING FOR YOURSELF AND BEING INDEPENDENT! OR HAS MY WHOLE LIFE WITH YOU BEEN A LIE! AND ALSO, FRIENDS PROTECT EACH OTHER, NOT ONE PERSON PROTECTING EVERYONE ELSE!!!!" He was getting steadily louder, and Korolee was getting scared. "IF DAD AND MUM WERE REALLY THAT WORRIED, THEY'D BE OUT HERE, TELLING US TO COME INSIDE!!! BUT THEY'RE NOT!!!" He was getting more and more angrier, and scaring the two kits in front of him. "IF YOU WANTED ME TO JUST LEAVE YOU AND YOUR BRAND NEW FRIEND ALONE, WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST SAY SO!!" Then, tears streaming down his face, Misty jumped across from the tree he was in to another one, and dashed away, his coat camouflaging into the night, soon becoming practically invisible, and the adults didn't hear a thing, fast asleep in the cave.

Jack looked at jenna surprised when she suddenly shouted go and prayed him with silly string. He stood there with his eyes wide open while she made her escape. Once he snapped out of it he ran after her, looking in all the rooms carefully. "The hell did she go!?" He said to himself. He neared the room she was in and slowly peered around the door. He bought a glimpse of her and shot about 10,000 times before he stopped freaking out. He eventually died laughing and ended up on the floor.

The Forest:

" Fine then! leave! Go back to mom and dad, see if i care...." Orchid said, getting quieter as she spoke. "I probably have to go home Korolee...." Orchid said and leapt down from the tree. " Tomorrow can we play at my home? My parents want to meet you, they don't trust me enough to play with you if they don't meet you apparently..." She said staring up at Korolee. " Well, bye..." She said quietly and walked back home slowly, she didn't feel like she had to move too fast. If her parents were up, she'd be in for one hell of a lecture.

Misty ran, and ran, and ran, still crying as he went deeper and deeper into the forest. His feet made the softest thuds as he ran faster and faster, trying to find the spot, but it was hard to in the dark. would it have been lighter if he'd been born normal? He tried, and failed at shaking the thought, crying harder. The trees almost seemed to whisper, you're a failure, why can't you be normal? He tried to run further away from the whispers, but they just grew louder. He shook his head, and dashed up the tree his father had gifted his mother, and dove into the hollow. He buried himself under the ever thinning blanket, and hugged a tatty wool ball to his chest, letting his serious air fall with the dust around him he had unsettled, and became a kit again. He hugged the ball tight, and just sobbed.

Korolee nodded his understanding, and awkwardly left for his home. He at first went in an opposite direction, then when out of sight he ran towards his home. He was battling himself inside. He knew his mother only wanted him to fake a friendship with Orchid, but he was starting to become actual friends with her, and he was confused. He eventually reached a large dead tree, and walked around it, finding the fake wall of bark and dragging it aside. He went in, and shut the bark behind him. He was in total darkness for a while before a series of small flames lit up as he walked down a familiar path, and quickly walked down some dirt stairs into a large chamber. He sat tall and grim, and spoke, his voice echoing in the empty chamber. "Hello mother." And the fluffy white cat turned around.

Jack almost died on the floor when he was shot multiple times by jenna. " God I think I just died...." He said as he got up. "Well, more drinking for us then! But can we do something a little more....Tame later?" He said to her and turned to walk downstairs. Stopping by his room to put the guns away. He then continued downstairs and sat back down on the couch after grabbing a few more beers. He clicked the rather large T.V on and tossed the remote to jenna, whilst finishing off his bourbon, and opening a beer. " Well whatcha wanna do later?" He asked.


Orchid eventually made it back home and layed down in her bed, ignoring the fact that her brother wasn't home. She laid awake for a long time before finally falling asleep.

"Why hello, son..." Zuri said as she turned to greet her little boy. "Out with the little brat again? Don't forget your real motive...Youre doing this for mommy remember that..." She said, a small smile on her face. "Do NOT fail me Korolee....You'll regret it if you do..." She said next, her smiling face turning into a a scowl. " Now get to bed....Youve got things to do tomorrow..." She said and went to her own bed. She then laid down to sleep, a evil grin appearing on her face.

Korolee obeyed his mother, and went over to his bed near his mother's, and lay down, wrapping his tail around his paws. His mind was battling itself again, and he couldn't stand it. He wanted to please his mother, but he wanted to have a friend too. He couldn't stand his mother, but loved her at the same time. She was his mum after all. He batted at his nose, foolishly thinking it would quiet the battle,but instead he got a cut nose. He wanted to whimper, but it would draw his mother's attention, so instead he curled up, slowed his breathing, and pretended to sleep, when really he would probably stay up for hours due to the voices in his head.

Misty opened his eyes as Korolee closed his, making a tear roll out of his eye and down his face. He sniffled, and sat up. He focused, closed his eyes tight, and when he opened them, Hope's ghost was sitting there, smiling gently at him. His lip wobbled, and started crying again. Hope just stood silently, and came over to Misty, wrapping his ghostly tail around Misty, feeling warm rather than cold as Misty had expected. Misty somehow leaned on his brother's shoulder, and they sat in silence together, Misty crying, and hope hugging.

Jenna groaned, and woke up to hear shouting. "Just five more minutes mum, geez..." She rolled over, and pulled the blanket around her tighter, and she squinted to see the red sheets of her blanket. Wait, red? She didn't have red sheets! She sat up, her red hair a mess. She felt breezy, and looked down. "OH MY GOD!" She was naked. She jumped up, and saw that she wasn't even in her room, let alone her house judging by the view from the window. She ran her hands through her hair, and an octopus tied to her arm peeked into view. Her head throbbed, and she looked around, and when she looked at the bed behind her, she saw Jack peeing over the bed. And her nakedness was in his full view. She screamed and covered herself, throwing a pillow at Jack's head. "WHAT DID YO DO?!" She yelled before looking around for something, anything to wear. Grabbing a dressing gown, she thought over what to do, her head racing.

Misty sat up in the hollow, his eyes still a little red from crying and the lack of sleep. He groomed himself, before curling up again, wondering what to do, what to feel, and why Orchid was being like this. Sitting in his mother's tree meant he couldn't hear a panicked family trying to find him, sending out messages via trees and cats as the search party went on. Korolee was just waking up as well, the dark dirt chamber he was in didn't lighten his mood as his mind continued to be in turmoil on his friendship with Orchid. His mother just waking up brought in the argument of his mother, and he was just even more confused.

Jack sat quietly not saying a single word to anyone. The room was tense and cold. No one really moved but Orchid, who was now being stared at with the fiery gaze of her mothers rage. To be honest it scared even Jack.

Kioni, who was looking at the fish and wishing his stomach would shut up, didnt notice his daughter slink past. Wasnt till a moment later when his wife had those terrifying eyes that he noticed Orchids movements.

Orchid stared back at her mother for a long time with wild and determined eyes. Eventually she gave up and went over to her brother. "Im sorry....I didnt mean anything i said i just wanted to have some alone time with Korolee....I'm really really sorry." She said, tears threatening to stream down her face. " I promise i'll be a better sister if you forgive me.." She said, her voice cracking and her tone sad. She waited for his reply, a silent tear streaming down her face.

"Mhm. Well ive got to go visit a family member for a while i'll be back when i can get away." FlameTail said and excused himself quietly.

"He's a weird cat...." Kioni said, shaking his head a bit. "We'll have to wait until tomorrow to see the powers specialist Mist, im afraid shes busy today with 'Catching up' or something like that. " Kioni said to his son, who was wrestling his daughter at the moment. He nuzzled his wife when she started to listen to his heart. His heart always started beating faster than it should when she did that. Kioni couldnt make it stop either. "Orchid, since everythings calmed down now why dont you and your brother go find your little friend and come play over here for a while." He said.

"Okay dad, C'mon Misty lets go find him!" Orchid said and ran out of the cave, her brother following shortly behind. After running for a short period orchis stopped and called korolees name and waited to see if hed show up.
