Deeper Description:
Nani stands at about 5'5" and is rather tall when you put her next to her little sister Yoshino. She has yellow eyes and red hair which often make her stand out much like all the other Sohmas.
On a normal day Nani often wears her casuals, a white top and blue jeans with a pair of black boots... you may also find her wearing a white bandana when she is cleaning.
The only similarity between Nani and her sibling is her very pale skin which often burns easily in the hot sun.
Personality:
Often referred to as a 'Mother Hen' Nani is protective of all the younger Sohma's and hates that they have to have the curse upon them. This can make her seem rather domineering to newcomers but really she is sweet and sensitive loving nothing more than to see her family happy.
Around the older Sohma's she feels comfortable, they all grew up together.
She is practical, observant, straightforward, trusting, honest, perfectionists, neat and can sometimes be conservative depending on her company.
In regards to her younger sister Nani is different, often living up to the annoying older sister role. However she often hope that she has filled a role of mother for Yoshino whilst they have been living together as she knows both parents do not approve of them.

History:
Being the first female Sohma to inherit the rooster sign made Nani stand out. Something which both her parents hated. She tried hard to perfect herself to be an ideal child for them but nothing was good enough.
Nani left home at 16, she hated knowing her parents could never love her with the curse she held. She travelled alone for a while, which did not go down well with the head of the Sohma family.. but once she returned she moved in with Taiga and took the role of the mother of the house.
Whilst Nani was travelling she met a man and fell in love, telling him of her secret. She hoped that when she returned the Head of the family would allow her to carry on loving a man outside the family. However this was not the case and he was sent away, whilst Nani was punished for her insolence.
Nani always regretted leaving her younger sister with her parents, but new she was not old enough to support her. She kept in touch through letters and once she settled back within the Sohma family she began living with Yoshi once again.
