Physical Description: A pale-skinned, black-haired average human, wearing a business suit and walking with a cane (he’s got a limp). He doesn’t look any taller, handsomer, or more well-built than anyone else.
Personality: Businesslike, yet polite, Adriel Killian is very nice to those who work for him and perfectly understanding and caring towards lower-class citizens, especially those without superhuman abilities. However, he’s usually much shorter towards those with abnormal powers, whether they be hero or villain, believing that such powers need to be shared with the world. To prove a point, he intentionally left his crippled leg un-fixed even though he easily could have found a cure, simply because that cure wouldn’t have been available for the common man.
History: Adriel Killian is the son of Jonathan Killian, who was former head of Majestic. Majestic itself was a gathering of the most powerful businessmen in the world, who tried to band together and rule it economically. They got the attention of the White Platoon, who attacked in full force, murdering many of them (including Jonathan) and crippling Adriel simply to send a message. Now the head of his father’s company, Killian Co., and found unaffiliated with Majestic in any way, Adriel Killian runs a massive banking empire. There are those, however, who say he’s planning revenge on the White Platoon and all superhumans based on how often he talks against them…
Equipment: As the head of a massive banking empire, Killian has almost unlimited resources at his disposal, and there is nothing he cannot buy or acquire through other means.
Abilities: Adriel Killian does not have any special abilities, and is indeed much physically weaker than the average human. He is, however, Ivy League educated and graduated Summa Cum Laude, making him one of the smartest non-superhumans in the world.
Other: Even if Adriel is planning something like the eradication of superhumans there’s no way to prove it, and he’d be more than happy to let loose with his full legal and economic might against superhumans that irritate him (especially by accusing him without sufficient evidence). Heaven help whoever thinks they can solve the problem of Adriel by murdering him.

So begins...
Adriel Killian (V2)'s Story
Killian hangs up. He wonders why people are calling him telling him to "fix the public outcry" when it's Uldritch who came up with the Superhuman Registration Act. He goes to sit down at his desk when he hears the screaming of three familiar female voices outside. Running as fast as his crippled leg can carry him, he sees falling nanites outside the windows opens the front door to see his three bodyguards/secretaries, Aly, Meg, and T'Cie, rolling on the ground. Aly is glowing with green radioactive energy, Meg's body is slowly being covered in stone, and T'Cie has shadowy blades flying from all around her body. Killian quickly pulls out his phone and makes some calls.
"I need some doctors over to my house on the double!" shouted Killian. "And make sure they're under cover! We don't want any more people falling prey to... whatever this is!"

Soon, police cars and ambulances arrive at Killian's home, which by now has stopped being bombarded by nanites. The same can't be said of other Eden buildings. Various doctors get out and observe the girls.
"My god!" said one doctor. "What... what is this?"
"... Nanites," said Killian. "Designed to give someone superhuman powers."
"And how do you know that?" asked an officer.
"I funded them," said Killian. "Now help me stop them!"
"... How?" asked a doctor. "I've never seen anything like this before!"
"Find where the nanites are burrowed," said Killian. "Then you have to match the frequency at which they run. It should overload the nanites and shut off their activity."
The doctors hurriedly get out various medical equipment, looking for the nanites.
"Will this work on everyone else?" asked a doctor.
"It should," said Killian. "But first things first."
Killian leans over his secretaries.
"Don't die on me," pleaded Killian.
"My god!" said one doctor. "What... what is this?"
"... Nanites," said Killian. "Designed to give someone superhuman powers."
"And how do you know that?" asked an officer.
"I funded them," said Killian. "Now help me stop them!"
"... How?" asked a doctor. "I've never seen anything like this before!"
"Find where the nanites are burrowed," said Killian. "Then you have to match the frequency at which they run. It should overload the nanites and shut off their activity."
The doctors hurriedly get out various medical equipment, looking for the nanites.
"Will this work on everyone else?" asked a doctor.
"It should," said Killian. "But first things first."
Killian leans over his secretaries.

Soon enough, the doctors have found the points at which the nanites burrowed into Killian's secretaries. They alert Killian, who pulls a transceiver out of his pocket, fiddles with, and activates, pointing it at the girls. They soon stop their violent thrashing and stop glowing, fainting in the middle of the street. Killian turns off the transceiver, and the girls are still fine.
"There," said Killian. "Without the nanites wreaking havoc with their system they should be fine."
"We need to get these girls to the hospital for further treatment," said a doctor, wiping sweat from his brow.
"Do what you must," said Killian. "But don't remove the nanites. Just give them a dose of Steinbeck's serum."
"How did you know we had some of-" began a doctor.
"I make it my business to know everything that goes on in Haven," said Killian. "Just do it!"
The doctors get the girls onto stretchers and carry them into ambulances, which drive off.
"Any chance we can get your fancy radio?" asked a police officer.
"If you're asking if I have multiple copies, the answer is no," said Killian. "But surely there's another way."
"... The radio tower," said a police officer. "You think you can make it broadcast that frequency?"
"If I do that would override every other radio frequency in the city..." began Killian. He stopped and realized what he was saying. "... Which would stop all the nanites that have already dropped and would drop! I'm going to need escort, of course."
"Get in," said an officer, opening his police van's passenger door.
Killian hobbles into the police van, which rolls out for the greater Sanctuary area, heading to the radio tower.

"There!" Kaia said. "Okay, we're going in!"
Andy shrunk his Hand of Fate, which re-manifested in the form of two big flat wings on his back. With these, he glided toward the deck of this airship. Kaia did the same with her wings, the two touching down on deck.

One nanite bomb seems to be falling Adel's way.
"(!!!) Nemea! Uh...what is it...Discharge!" he commanded.
"Affirmative," Nemea replied, surrounding Adel with a spherical electric barrier. On contact, it shorted out the bomb, disabling its detonation, as well as the nanites within.

Death's Head, meanwhile, arrives in Sanctuary and switches out his right hand for a gun that resembles a harpoon launcher. He begins to look around at the various individuals that have been given out-of-control super-powers, and decides that it may be time for some crowd control. He then begins launching steel rope nets out of his gun, pinning some people to the ground or walls. There's not much he can do about the airships over the city, but this works just fine.
On deck are several men in armor, typically worn by knights of Coronach. The knights not busy piloting the aircraft turn to Andy and Kaia, draw blades, and charge.

Killian's police escort arrives at the radio tower... only to find several nanite-infected citizens standing in the way, hurling fire, ice, electricity, and all sorts of other unpleasant elements. With all those people there, getting safely into the tower is nigh-impossible.
"Dammit!" said an officer, pulling out his police radio. "All available units, report to the Sanctuary Radio Tower immediately!"

Cole kept running and looking around as he was passed up by police vans, some guys flying above him, and even a giant robot.
"Where the heck is Tempo?!" he screamed. When he turned his head and saw a purple and orange blur quickly moving towards him from where the Techno Dome should be, he just said, "About time!"
Tempo picked up Cole and skated away until they were clear of the bombs. Stopping next to a hotel, Tempo let Cole down.
"Sorry to keep ya waitin'." Tempo said. "So what's the plan?"
"I need you to get me onto one of those ships." Cole said, pointing at the airships.
"What?! You wanna head towards the people that're lightin' this place up?!" Tempo shouted.
"Nothin' about this attack makes sense. If we can get up there, we might figure out what's really goin' on. If you can get to the rooftops, you might be able to ramp off one and shoot us onto one of the airships." Cole explained.
Tempo sighed and said, "Man, you crazy. I can't believe I'm about to do this. But I ain't carryin' you again. You need to find somethin' to ride on or whatever."
Looking around, Cole saw what looked like a hotel luggage cart. "We'll use this," he said. "Now let's go."
Cole held tight to one of the bars of the luggage cart as Tempo revved his skates again and sped towards the airships.

"What gives, guys?!" Andy shouted. "I know Haven hasn't yet extended that act, but this is uncalled for!"
As Andy's frustration built up, his eyes began sparking up with the effects of Gaze of Guilt. The knights better not be looking to his eyes - those that do might experience a horrifying, numbing sensation...

The knight actually making eye contact with Andy falls to the deck, paralyzed.
"Don't look at him!" shouted another.
The knights scatter, not making direct eye contact with Andy, before moving in, slashing at Andy and Kaia with deadly precision.
"They need to be taught a lesson," said one of the knights, in between blows. "They dared make Captain Mordred sign this ridiculous act when he wasn't a resident of Haven. It's only a matter of time before they expand their views and make everyone register. We're just helping them out. They fear supers so much, it's only fair that they know what it's like!"
Meanwhile, Cole and Tempo should be able to get onto that same airship with a solid leap.
"Don't look at him!" shouted another.

Andy weaved his Hand of Fate into a shield, blocking incoming attacks. Kaia materialized a barrier, withstanding the blows.
"Fighting terror with terror? That's just silly!" Andy retorted. "And not 'haha' silly."

With Cole hanging on to the bars of the luggage cart, Tempo pushed through the streets of the city, having to avoid nanite-infected citizens a couple of times whose powers were out of control. "What's up with them?" Tempo asked.
"I'll explain later," Cole said. Eventually, they caught up with a low-flying airship as it approached a roof they could use as a ramp. "Up there!" Cole said, pointing.
"Got it!" Tempo said. Tempo sped up some more and used a vehicle as a ramp to get to that roof, then they both shot off the roof towards the airship. Cole jumped off the cart and rolled onto the deck of the ship with Tempo coming on some distance behind him and the cart they had been using just fell short and crashed into railing on the side before falling back to the street.
"I'll explain later," Cole said. Eventually, they caught up with a low-flying airship as it approached a roof they could use as a ramp. "Up there!" Cole said, pointing.
"Got it!" Tempo said. Tempo sped up some more and used a vehicle as a ramp to get to that roof, then they both shot off the roof towards the airship. Cole jumped off the cart and rolled onto the deck of the ship with Tempo coming on some distance behind him and the cart they had been using just fell short and crashed into railing on the side before falling back to the street.
"Says the teenager with the mummy hand," fired back one of the knights.
The knights' swords start vibrating, essentially pushing against the barrier and shield with the force of chainsaws. While not unheard of among elite Coronach troops it seems a bit of an odd choice for air units. Other knights see Tempo and Cole jump onto the airship and aim the vibrating blades at them.
"Get off this plane," said one of the knights.

The knights' swords start vibrating, essentially pushing against the barrier and shield with the force of chainsaws. While not unheard of among elite Coronach troops it seems a bit of an odd choice for air units. Other knights see Tempo and Cole jump onto the airship and aim the vibrating blades at them.
"Get off this plane," said one of the knights.

"Hey, my eyes reacted to something you guys are guilty of!" Andy retorted. "That wasn't terror - that was empathic punishment! And you really oughta get those blades off my hand before - "
Andy's Hand of Fate then sparked up with ethereal electricity, surging through the swords making contact and, in turn, to their wielders.
"Coronach or Haven military, this madness needs to stop!" Kaia protested, pushing back with her barrier as hard as she can. "More havoc won't solve anything! Also - !"

Before the knights can retort that Andy's retort isn't really based off of anything, the electricity courses through the knights' blades. And their armor. And the metal they're standing on. And the circuitry that's running the airship. And...
Well, let's just say everything on the airship is shocked. The airship itself basically shuts down, unable to handle the ethereal electricity, and begins careening for the ground. This is just not Andy's day.

Kaia's barrier was able to withstand the shock, despite breaking soon after, making Kaia tumble down onto the deck.
"Eeep - !!" Andy reacted in absolute fright. "I-I can fix this! I can fix this!"
Andy shot a Primordial Spark straight upward, which focused on dragging the falling airship (and nothing else) up and away from the streets.

Adel looked up...and saw the damaged airship rising away from Sanctuary.
"Eeep - !!" Andy reacted in absolute fright. "I-I can fix this! I can fix this!"
Andy shot a Primordial Spark straight upward, which focused on dragging the falling airship (and nothing else) up and away from the streets.

Meanwhile, the police are doing their best to clear away the nanite infected in front of the radio tower. If only they had a bounty-hunting robot, or some kid with a super-amazing high-tech weapon who tends to ignore fireballs flying through his apartment window to help them. Oh, well.

Cole should be glad that the soles of his sneakers are rubber and not metal, unless the electricity could pass through rubber in which case he would be in trouble, while the wheels of Tempo's skates didn't seem to be affected by the electricity. They were getting ready for a fight when the guys at the other end of the deck did some kind of attack that shocked through the armor of the knights. Unfortunately, when it shorted out the ship and it started to fall, Cole struggled to keep his balance while Tempo just rolled around the deck uncontrollably.
"What's this guy's deal?! WhooaOOAa!" Tempo shouted, rolling out of control. Then, he started to roll to the back of the ship when it started to turn up. "HEEEEELP!"
Cole ran to help him before Tempo remembered the magnets in his wheels and stopped himself, hanging on to Cole to make sure he didn't fall past him.
"Now you remember you can do that?" Cole asked. "Now, we need to head inside the ship. I can see a hatch right there."
Tempo and Cole started to move toward the hatch.
"What's this guy's deal?! WhooaOOAa!" Tempo shouted, rolling out of control. Then, he started to roll to the back of the ship when it started to turn up. "HEEEEELP!"
Cole ran to help him before Tempo remembered the magnets in his wheels and stopped himself, hanging on to Cole to make sure he didn't fall past him.
"Now you remember you can do that?" Cole asked. "Now, we need to head inside the ship. I can see a hatch right there."
Tempo and Cole started to move toward the hatch.
Spotting the mayhem going on at the radio tower, Death's Head runs towards it and begins launching nets at several of the nanite infected.
"Master," Nemea suggested, "we should focus on calming the infected. With no experience, they can barely keep check of their newfound abilities."
"I hope I'm not about to experience the same..." Adel said, hurrying toward the panic at the radio tower.

"You two do that...!" Andy said while focusing his Primordial Spark's targeting and movement away from Sanctuary. "I'll keep this bird away from anywhere populated...!"
Kaia recovered as best she can, using Mr. Buttons's kinesis-formed claws to strike back any knights trying to attack herself and Andy.

Adel soon arrived to the radio tower, announcing himself to the officers. "Private Adel Torrez, present!"
"Master Adel, it would be best to restrain or knock out the crazed subjects," Nemea said. "Now setting electric attack output to stun level."
"Got it." Adel went in toward any non-captured infected, starting the brawl with a Ground Surge, zapping several of them in a radius with just enough energy to make them fall unconscious.
