Setting
"These bugs are capable of painting quite a pretty canvas - wouldn't you agree, miss?" called out Ignacious' voice to the lady from one of the nearby rooftops, the pyromancer now eating from a bucket of popcorn as he watches the Minils run rampant.
"Guys, see if you can try to get these people off the streets!" Cole yelled out.
Andy and Kaia used their occults to stop Minils before they could get away. Parasoul and the Egrets also pursued and intercepted the Minils with their firearms (Krieg, in Parasoul's case). There's still plenty around, and several casualties...
Grumbling to himself at being ignored, Ignacious sits back down on the rooftop and resumes stuffing his face with popcorn while watching the fighting, albeit looking a lot less amused now.
"The pure winds of Haven...return," the cloaked lady said, tossing off the cloak to reveal herself. The figure floating in midair is one with long tan hair, blue/yellow robes with orange accents, and large metallic orange wings floating by her back.
"(!) Hey, who's...?" Andy asked.
"Could that be...?" Parasoul reacted.
The Minils seemed to notice, as most of them began rushing at this lady. However, she became cloaked in a membrane of mystical air that repelled the Minils' strikes, reducing them to dust on impact. Ohter Minils began turning their attention to this mysterious lady, rushing at her. She responded by launching orbs of compressed air into each one that approached, blasting the bugs on impact. When several Minils got close, she spun around, forming a tornado around herself that shredded the Minils into thin air.
Andy, Kaia, and Parasoul were amazed by this scene.
Said pyromancer, meanwhile, was only irritated even further by the mysterious lady's display of power - beginning to visibly clench a skeletal hand as several embers flickered around his feathered coat and eye sockets. Ignoring the great Ignacious and spoiling his mood was one thing, he thought to himself as he continued to watch, but trying to show him up with... with silly wind powers? Immediately afterwards, no less? As if this new mage was implying that she was better than him at pest control?!
Ooh, this simply would not do!
Consumed by blind fury, Ignacious abruptly bursts into roaring flames and quickly flew towards the mysterious lady, seemingly trying to tackle her out of the air...
...right up until he took a sharp turn, charging into some of the surviving Minils instead and proceeding to violently incinerate any of the bugs he came across.
"Now what?" Rita said. "I swear. This place has everything."
"Whoever that is, I hope they're on our side," Tempo said.
"Whoooooaaaaa...!" Andy said in amazement. "Did you see that? That lady's a magic pro or something!"
"She seems...all too familiar," Parasoul said. "I'm not fully sure if it is so, but..."
It was a miracle they didn't simply shatter under the pressure, frankly. Good thing, too; he didn't exactly have the best dental.
After getting a glimpse of Ignacious' reaction, Tempo looked up to where he was. He decided to head up there and dash-skated up the side of a building to reach him.
"Yo, Skeletor!" Tempo called out to Ignacious. "You lookin' for attention? New girl stealin' ya thunder?" He said with a chuckle at the end.
Ignacious' eyes go back to normal as he turns around again and continues staring at the robed lady in the distance, completely oblivious to what Tempo actually meant.
"...BUT, that lady is trying to be a thief, as sure as hell is toasty!" Ignacious resumed, fuming. "There's only room on this plane of existence for ONE magnificently awesome undead mage, and it's certainly not going to be the ancient leaf blower over there!"
Continuing to whine to himself angrily, Ignacious takes to the air and leaves Sanctuary posthaste, flying north-west...
Andy quickly jumped out of the fireball's way, a look of fright and shock on his face.
In any case, the Minils attacking are dispatched. The robed lady floated down to a building top.
"Well, Sanctuary's safe for now, again," Cole said. "So, now we have these shadow bug things comin' outta Arsenal Cove and this new person with wind powers came in and stopped 'em. I'm not leavin' anything out, am I?"
Before he could continue, the robed lady vanished with the wind, without a word.
"...Okay, good call!"
Parasoul thought over the sudden arrival of the Minils.
"...Egrets, I'll be away to the compendium," Parasoul said. "If they came from Arsenal Cove, then it would be best to research what happened there. I have the strangest feeling this is connected with its destruction..."
"Sir!" the Egrets saluted before heading out. Parasoul, likewise, took a motorcycle back to Eden.
"I dunno about you guys, but I think we need to head to Arsenal Cove," Cole said. "It might be the best lead we got on what's goin' on. We might find some clues there or at least stop those things from just now from comin' back."
With that, Kaia headed off in the direction of Arsenal Cove. Andy followed on his board.
