Physical Description: Detective Probe & Solve Looks exactly like Mr. Game & Watch of Nintendo fame, only wearing a black fedora upon his head.
Personality: Like something right out of a 30s private eye novel, only a lot flatter, Detective Probe & Solve is a hardboiled investigator with little time for nonsense—much unlike most of the denizens of Flatland. When he comes across a good mystery, he finds himself unable to rest until he solves it; it’s almost like an obsession for him.
Equipment & Abilities: Like Mr. Game & Watch, Probe & Solve has a seemingly unlimited supply of items, only his case it’s mostly forensic equipment. He does carry a revolver, however, and may also have other weapons up his sleeves.
History: Hailing from the world of Flatland (and claiming to have no relation to Mr. Game & Watch aside from that), Probe & Solve has had a knack for cracking the toughest mysteries since childhood—which is why he decided to become a private detective. Now travelling across Unitas, seeking to solve all of the mysteries of the world, he offers his services to those in need of a good investigator—and sometimes for free, too!

I sat in a lone corner of the café, listening intently to the conversation the four strangers were having--and watching the one in blue the closest. There was something about him... something eerily familiar. Was he a celebrity? One of the many powerful heroes here on Unitas? No, that wasn't it. It was something else. Some sort of vague sense of recognition, like... like he'd seen him in a book, as the Ninmenjushin had said. Taiyomashi... that library had all kinds of ancient tomes. This guy didn't look that old, but...
"HEY, PAL!" shouts another cafe patron at Detective Probe & Solve. "What the hell are you doing? This RPG's in third-person, and here you are narrating in first person? Get with the program!"
"Buddy, you let me do things my way, and I'll let you do things yours!" snaps back Probe & Solve. "Dammit... now I've lost my train of thought!"
"HEY, PAL!" shouts another cafe patron at Detective Probe & Solve. "What the hell are you doing? This RPG's in third-person, and here you are narrating in first person? Get with the program!"
"Buddy, you let me do things my way, and I'll let you do things yours!" snaps back Probe & Solve. "Dammit... now I've lost my train of thought!"
"Name's Probe & Solve." replies the detective. "Detective Probe & Solve. And I couldn't help but overhear your conversation... fella in the blue jacket! What's your name?"
"Well, then it's obvious just who you are." remarks Probe & Solve. "You're a fanboy cosplaying as the legendary Orion the archer!"
"...Sure, we'll go with that," Orion said flatly.
"ANYhow, 'fanboy', I couldn't help but notice your...um...knowledge on Orion's stellar arrows and how they fix spatial abnormalities," Zenmei said, going along with this ruse. "Who do you think {coughmade that riftcough} would play your opponent in the upcoming convention?"
"Hm, that's a toughie," Orion said. "I've seen plenty of rifts in my day, and this? It didn't seem to be from some completely different dimension...as far as the skit's setting goes. So maybe someone will play...someone powerful from this very world. Yup, that's my bet."

"... Weird kids." comments Probe & Solve, taking out a newspaper and turning his attention to it instead.
"'Very powerful from this world'? Not a specific enough detail!" Ekiyu said. "If this play's gonna be good, we gotta elaborate."
"Okay, fine!" Orion said. "I'd wager that it's someone with power on par with...well, a god. Played out, I'm sure, but that's what I think...will work."
"And this godly guy only appeared - I mean...appears suddenly out of interest in the psycho villain's plot?" Zenmei asked. "Wonder what he wanted with - er, wants with all that despair."
"Okay, fine!" Orion said. "I'd wager that it's someone with power on par with...well, a god. Played out, I'm sure, but that's what I think...will work."
"And this godly guy only appeared - I mean...appears suddenly out of interest in the psycho villain's plot?" Zenmei asked. "Wonder what he wanted with - er, wants with all that despair."
"Hope you don't stutter as much when you're on the stage!" comments Probe & Solve, still reading the newspaper.
"Hmmm...We may need to get some good references...for the play," Zenmei said.
"Good point. Let's do some studying at Taiyomashi! Whaddya say, sniper?" Ekiyu said.
"Great idea! Uh, I mean I'm all for figuring stuff out, but...well, we'll see how our study session's gonna work when we get there," Orion said.
So, the three headed out on their way to Taiyomashi Temple.
"Here." Orion gave Stinky several ancient coins as payment as he left.
"Good point. Let's do some studying at Taiyomashi! Whaddya say, sniper?" Ekiyu said.
"Great idea! Uh, I mean I'm all for figuring stuff out, but...well, we'll see how our study session's gonna work when we get there," Orion said.
So, the three headed out on their way to Taiyomashi Temple.
"Here." Orion gave Stinky several ancient coins as payment as he left.
As the three of them left, a girl walked into the cafe. She had her hands in her pockets and earbuds in her ears, listening to music from her phone.
She walked up to the counter and paused her music, looking at the menu for a good coffee drink. As she was looking, her phone rang to let her know that she just got a message.

Stinky picks up an ancient coin and examines it closely.
"What in the world is this?? They better be worth a fortune!!"

Naomi, things in Haven are gettin' worse. I know I didn't ask you to come with us the first time, but I'll need you and Biz to get ready to move if we need you someplace. Just lettin' you know.
Naomi finished listening to the quick message and sighed. She had been paying attention to all the things that have been happening in Haven lately and it just sounded like one big mess over there. They didn't bring Naomi along because they figured she would attract negative attention if her powers were revealed. Biz wasn't brought along either. She figured it was probably so he wouldn't do something stupid to make things worse. But now, here Cole is saying that they might have to jump in after all.
"I'd like a caramel macchiato please. That'll be it," Naomi said. After paying for her drink, she was asked to wait over on the other end of the counter.
"I hope Biz ain't out there gettin' in too much trouble," she said, waiting for her drink.

"Thanks," Naomi said, taking her drink. "From what I hear, it's the guys in charge drivin' the place into the ground. Some guys I know say they're playin' the people there like a board game, gettin' support for their crazy ideas."
"Oh, I'm sure there's more going on there than meets the eye." interjects Probe & Solve. "Maybe I should take a visit overseas..."
