The smarter (and sassier) of Eggman's two robot flunkies.

Description
Built by Dr. Eggman to serve as one of his assistants alongside Cubot, Orbot is surprisingly well-mannered and intelligent. But despite his loyalty to his creator, Orbot does have a habit of criticizing his plots and insulting him. He may yet end up in the junk pile one of these days!
So begins...
Orbot's Story

Just then, everyone's vision was blocked out by red static. After a while, the static went away...but Sonic.exe and Eggman were gone. What did appear, though, is large red letters smeared across the floor!
"Mama mia! D-Do you see what-a they say??"
Sure enough, the letters read this:

And sure enough, Sonic.exe did not kidnap Dr. Eggman's two robots, Orbot and Cubot.
"Dr. Eggman is gone!" Amy was shocked and confused about the disappearance of Sonic.exe and Dr. Eggman, "So... that wasn't his virus at all?"
Sonic is also confused. If Dr. Eggman did not create Sonic.exe, then what was he? A spectral monster from a different dimension? A clone that went horribly wrong? This puzzles Sonic more and more. But Sonic.exe did mention somebody who knows about the demon.

"Oh no! OH NO!" shouts Cubot. "DA BOSS IS GONE! VAMOOSE! SLEEPIN' WIT DA FISHIES! WHAT ARE WE GOIN' TO DO?!"
Orbot, meanwhile, is drinking a can of oil and reading a magazine as he relaxes.

"What are we going to do now?" Amy worryingly asked, "Oh, I hope Tails, Knuckles, and the Princess are okay."
"I'll tell you what we're not gonna do," Sonic replied with confidence, "Give up and let the faker hold our friends (and arch enemy) captive."
"That's the Sonic I know! ...Not the creepy fake one though.."

"That's-a the spirit, Sonic!" Mario cheered. "Now then, we's-a gotta find this-a somebody who knows about-a this-a specter. Considering his-a first act was in Harmonia, we should probably check around-a the Dream-a Valley area!"
"PROMISE US YOU'LL BRING DA BOSS BACK!" shouts Cubot at the group. "This place will become a complete dump without someone to tighten our screws, know what I'm sayin'?!"
"Don't worry. The fun wouldn't be the same without Eggman. I miss the good ol' days anyway." Sonic chuckled as he, Amy, and Mario are ready to leave.
Eventually, a large airship was descending near Eggman's base - the same airship that took off from Tyrant's Castle.
Bowser enters Dr. Eggman's base, taking notice to all the broken (and seppuku'd) traps in the area.
"Hmph! No thanks to those two do-gooders, I bet..."

A couple of Egg Pawns who survived the heroes' assault are scavenging through their comrades' remains, attempting to repair their own bodies.
Yes, they are. The two look over at Bowser and his elite guard.
"Sorry, but the boss isn't here right now!" says Orbot. "Can we help you?"

"Yes, you can help by giving us any info you have on that bizarro-Sonic," Bowser demanded. "Now get to it!"
"Ye-Yeah! What he said!" Corporal Paraplonk said.
"Don't make him mad!" Private Goomp added, "You wouldn't like him when he's mad."

"It scared the seven seas out of me!" says Cubot, now with a pirate voice. "It had eyes as red as blood, and a set of teeth that could break the sharpest sword!"
"In regards to practical info, it could apparently teleport." says Orbot. "And it did that in just a couple of seconds."

Both Goomp and Paraplonk screamed. Sergeant Guy groaned and faces the two. "Will you two knock it off?! If Ol' Sonic is trying to scare us with that, he's gotta do better than that. Look!" the green Shy Guy picks up a drop of... Blood?!, "See? It's just... wait... I thought it was... p--p-p-pp... BOWSER! REQUEST TO SCREAM LIKE A LITTLE GIRL!!!"
