Physical Description: A green and yellow X-Naut with a “U” on his costume rather than an “X.”
Personality: Some would call U-Naut laidback, as he doesn’t take much in life too seriously and rarely ever holds a grudge. Others would call him a coward who uses his powers to flee at the first sign of trouble most of the time. Little do either parties know that he’s both.
Equipment & Abilities: The only weapon that U-Naut possesses is a boomerang, but he lacks in offense he makes up for in defense, as he has the power to turn intangible and go through virtually any material. This ability makes U-Naut quite useful for recon missions, which is just the way he likes it. He also has the power to merge with Z-Naut, Wartail, V-Naut, and W-Naut to create A-Naut.
History: An X-Naut who was subjected to various experiments by Z-Naut, U-Naut gained the power of intangibility and became one of Z-Naut’s top lieutenants. While he isn’t exactly Z-Naut’s most loyal soldier, he continues to serve the megalomaniac as best he can.

U-Naut's Story

The door suddenly swings open, and a strange man in a green and yellow uniform with a "U" on it stands in the shack's entrance.
"Hmm... nah, not really." remarks U-Naut.

Riley looks the man up and down briefly. What ghastly taste in clothes. Maybe he's responsible for upkeep of the shack, too.
"A little birdie told me I could find some W-Gas here," said Riley. "And that got my interest as... a chemist, let's say. Now I'm guessing you're not the boss around here, but if you could take me to him, that'd be great."

"Hold on now, buddy!" exclaims U-Naut. "What makes you think I'm not a free agent, huh? Maybe I've been making W-Gas all by myself right here in this shack!"
"There's a 'U' on your uniform," said Riley. "Now, if I were dealing in W-Gas, I'd wear something different, but if you still want to keep a letter on your shirt, wouldn't you go with 'W' if you were making W-Gas yourself?"
"No way, it's not like my name is W-Gas!" says U-Naut. "Besides, a friend of mine already has dibs on 'W.'"
"You have a friend with 'dibs' on 'W'," said Riley. "You make W-Gas. And you expect me to believe your friend isn't involved?"
"Yeah, but it's not because..." begins U-Naut. "... You know what, let's just discuss business. Now why should I let some chemist meet the boss?
"Let's just say I know my way around brewing gas," said Riley with a sickeningly wide smile. "And I'm very interested in seeing what I can do to... improve your formula."
U-Naut quietly snickers, as though laughing at some private joke.
"... All right, come inside, pal." says U-Naut before stepping out of the doorway and further into the shack.

Riley follows U-Naut into the shack. This was all going well so far. Surely nothing could go wrong at this point. Of course Riley could think of several things going wrong but that was why he had several sharp instruments hidden under his lab coat.
Riley suppresses a giggle and heads down. He remembered when he thought about having secret stairs in his lair. Then he found out it was two stories and didn't have room for a basement anyway. He blamed the Mad Chef - the dude could cook, but was a terrible architect.
Architect skills are an absolute necessity for villains in this day and age.
Anyway, the two eventually arrive in a large chamber that greatly resembles a factory: several large tanks of W-Gas lie in the center of the room, with tubes connected to the tanks extracting the gas inside to nearby assembly lines where it is placed inside of small huffers. Many X-Nauts monitor the process on computers right in front of Riley and U-Naut, and some humanoid robots with "S.O.E.P." written on their shoulders also patrol the area.
Anyway, the two eventually arrive in a large chamber that greatly resembles a factory: several large tanks of W-Gas lie in the center of the room, with tubes connected to the tanks extracting the gas inside to nearby assembly lines where it is placed inside of small huffers. Many X-Nauts monitor the process on computers right in front of Riley and U-Naut, and some humanoid robots with "S.O.E.P." written on their shoulders also patrol the area.
I know, right? I mean, it's all "Location, Location, Location" these days, and you have to keep up with the times.
Riley doesn't recognize the name S.O.E.P. and thinks it may just be a misspelling of soap. Which he thinks this place desperately needs.

"Yeah, pretty awesome, ain't it?" says U-Naut. "Now the boss should be somewhere around--"
"U-NAUT!" cries a loud voice.
"--Here."
An X-Naut with a "Z" on his uniform, and a purple cape, stomps up to Riley and U-Naut rather angrily.
"What have I told you about bringing the druggies down here?!" shouts Z-Naut. "The last one got his damn sleeve stuck in the assembly line, and we ended up having to clean that mess for--"
"Hold on, boss!" interrupts U-Naut. "This guy's no druggie! He says he's some fancy-schmany chemist!"
"... Really?" asks Z-Naut, peering at Riley. "He looks like a druggie."
"U-NAUT!" cries a loud voice.
"--Here."
An X-Naut with a "Z" on his uniform, and a purple cape, stomps up to Riley and U-Naut rather angrily.

"And you look like a bad cosplayer," said Riley. "But since this man just called you 'boss' I'm willing to bet you're not. Besides, most cosplayers can't get a hold of engines normally reserved to start turbine jet engines."
"You bet your butt I'm not a cosplayer!" exclaims Z-Naut. "I am Z-Naut the First, future emperor of Unitas!"
"So he's been saying for years..." mutters U-Naut.
"So... what makes a chemist pay a visit to us down here?" asks Z-Naut. "You're not one of the Society's interns, are you? I've already got my hands full training my daughter in the art of evil!"

"What Society would that be?" asked Riley. "And I was just curious to see what you've been cooking up. I used to be in the gas-brewing business myself. I'm looking to get back in."
"The Society of Evil Peoplez!" cries out Z-Naut. "An alliance of villains across the globe who support each other in all kinds of ways--"
"Boss, maybe you shouldn't be talking so much about the Society..." coughs U-Naut.
"Erm... good point." replies Z-Naut. "So what's your name, pal? And what kind of gas did you brew?"
