Bio: Long ago, a young woman named Felicia Cerulean became one of the most prestigious marine biologists on the face of the planet. Felicia was a dedicated scientist who had spent many years studying all that there was to know about the ocean, and the creatures that lived in it. With so much experience in the subject and having a passionate love in the subject itself, Felicia became a legend, and made various contributions to the exploration to the ocean. Not to mention the fact that she helped to protect some marine creatures that were rapidly losing population, and helped to improve the living conditions of the ocean for marine animals. Seeing this woman's efforts for his element, Poseidon, god of the sea, thanked her graciously. Eventually, they had an affair, and not before long, twins had been born upon the Aegean sea. Caspian was one of the twins.
Caspian, (his name deriving from the Caspian Sea) had an amazing childhood with his twin sister, Merridia. The two children lived on a boat with their mother. Together, the family traveled all across the world by sea. They stopped at many different cities and countries during their journeys. Of course, living on the sea was for Felicia's work purposes, but Caspian and Merridia had always believed that they had been 'guardians of the ocean'. They had no idea how right they were. While on the water, the children had always had an interest in swimming. They could stay underwater for very long periods of time, ranging between 2-3 hours at most. Due to their isolation out on the ocean, the children did not realize that this was supernatural. Felicia noticed, but decided not to reveal her secret to the children just yet.
When the twins were thirteen, their houseboat had been raided by Somalian pirates. The three Ceruleans had been taken as hostages, and were going to be executed in about a day's time. The twins had been locked in the same room, while their mother had been kept separate from them. Remarkably, the children managed to escape captivity and save their mother as well. (Although Merridia took some serious damage to her left ear) Through their escape, the young teens found out about their powers of water manipulation. Through the process of swimming back to shore, Felicia revealed all of her secrets to the children.
Not wanting to put her son and daughter in serious danger again, Felicia moved to New York to keep pursuing her career in Marine Biology. Although the twins were sad that they couldn't live on the sea, they were able to travel along the New York harbor. Caspian spent most of this time just wandering around the city, being carefree and exploring as much as he could. He also used his free time to strengthen his powers, and take up his special ability, healing. Once Merridia had learned how to use a trident, she taught Caspian all she knew. Caspian took what he had learned from his sister and developed his own style of using the weapon. Instead of using sneaky attacks, he developed a strategy that used circular motions and brute strength.
Personality: Ironically, Caspian and his twin sister share a very similar personality. They have the same sense of justice and heroism, aren't afraid to help those in danger, and for the most part, stick together. HOWEVER, there are a few traits that greatly seperate him from his sister. First off, Caspian will use his intuitive conscience rather than working with intelligence. Everything Caspian does is motivated from gut feelings. If he truly feels like something is right, it most likely is. This also means that he will rely on pure talent rather than preperation, and will 'go with the flow' if need be.
Although the two twins are far from shy, Caspian is generally more sociable, and if seperated, Caspian would be the one to make more friends. He may not be the smartest, the strongest, or the most attractive, but he has a subtle way of charming people. Instead of focusing his attention to one or a few people, he likes to keep in touch with everybody. He is so accepting, that in the past, he's made friends with a couple of rivals. Just like his sister, he is naturally kind and sensitive. However, if the twins had a friend who was injured, Merridia would be the one to help the person and let them recover on their own, while Caspian would be giving the victim constant attention until their injury was gone.
Despite his positive traits, Caspian has quite a few negative ones. He's oblivious to the fact that sometimes, people don't change. Because of his peaceful attributes, he's not always ready to see the evil in people until he actually gets to know them. Although he's good at first impressions, sometimes he's oblivious to how much of a bad influence people can be. Both twins have a negative trait that they have acquired from their father, and for Caspian, it's Poseidon's pride. At times, he can be arrogant to the point of annoyance. He's definetely not afraid to wear his title as a demigod across his sleeve.
