”Pleased to meet you.”
Age:
17
“I appear to be seventeen/ eighteen, don’t I?”
Monster:
Faery
“Because I’m quite monstrous... ”
Ability:
<Where others have super-strength or super-speed, Edge has super-gracefulness. Though his feet touches the ground, Edge does not walk. He floats, as if he was some impossible mix of cloud, smoke, and cat. It’s impossible to catch Edge off-balance, and it’s extremely difficult to land a hit on him.>
<Edge can manipulate dreams/sleep, for that is his brand of faery magic. It’s a delicate and complicated process mastering this, so Edge’s knowledge is in chunks and incomplete. For example, he can pull people into a slumber, but he will have no idea when his victim will wake up; perhaps a rough guess at best. Edge manages the fine-woven and extremely diffucult processes of weaving false dreams into a sleepwalker, but is unable to tell if it’s actually working or not until they follow through with the implanted dreams. Edge never has any dreams of his own, but never goes a night without dreaming. He’ll either enter someone else’s dream, or walk about in a spirit form.>
Appearance:
Both of Edge’s forms are unnerving in their own way, but his human form certainly takes the cake. His hair (a pale tanish color) is the exact shade as his skin, easily sending people into a spiral of confusion. Both of his forms have the same physique (tall, lean, a pale tan, not much muscle), disturbing pink eyes, and a constant rumpled, lazy appearance. This faery’s wings... you can’t see them, but they are there, only completely translucent. Edge’s true form has very strange messy black hair. Except for the ends, his hair is so intensely obsidian one cannot see any individual hairs or hair-like details in his shady locks. The true form has a sleeping, coiled power within, giving Edge a faintly dangerous and sinister aura. His pink eyes possess a captivating glow that invites one to simply sink into their soft depths and gaze forever...
Personality:
Edge has the detached disposition of a person who is not quite awake; he drifts along never truly seeing or feeling anything around him. If something were to happen to totally wake him, one would see the bitter, venomous, hateful being he really is.
You see, Edge has a certain system of thinking. He hates conflict the most, hates school and troublesome situations normally, sorta hates everyone and loud noises, and doesn’t hate having fun and sleeping. Notice that ‘like’ and ‘love’ are not included here.
This faery is a master of deception, and contrary to the myth, lies all the friggin time. Almost every word that slips past Edge’s tongue is tainted with untruth in some way. The only exceptions are when he is completely awake, and during those rare and fleeting moments just before and right after falling asleep. During those blissful scraps of time, Edge is truthfully truthful, transcending all the barriers his mind has created around his personality. Who knows what he might say in this state?
Edge has a selectively photographic memory. He will remember every word that every person has ever spoken to him, every look they have ever sent his way, every face he has ever laid eyes upon; anything to do interaction’s he’s had with people. But other than that, he is truly hopeless. Edge will forget what he ate for lunch as soon as the taste fades from his mouth, he’ll forget the lyrics of a song as soon as it gets unstuck from his head. He’ll remember listening to a song, and eating a meal, but the details of things are forever lost to him. So whenever Edge is alone, life itself starts to fade into a meaningless blur, slowly cocooning around him until he no longer feels. While encased like that, Edge will lie about everything not matter how insignificant. But when he returns to civilization, all of the layers of that cocoon slowly start to peel off, gradually turning Edge more and more truthful. From a floating, gentle, unfeeling cloud of lies to a person who’s enveloped by a hurting reality, angry and confused to why it’s happening.

Extra:
Edge is regarded as a delinquent by the school staff, something that shocks students due to his gentle out-of-it disposition. However, Edge rarely attends school, and when he does he is uncontrollable. As a result, Edge a school legend, if you ditch class the common word for it is ‘pulling a Kyougaku’. Legend says that the support for his emancipation is so strong, even the school couldn’t force him to attend. Finally, they called a social security worker and a lawyer, and now finally Edge has to show up on campus, at least, otherwise he’ll be sent to a foster home.
