Appearance: Alanna has long brown hair that is often a mess or stuck in a pony tail. She had dark thick brimmed glasses and cannot see very well with out them. She is a shorter girl and often finds that people tend not to notice her because of her size and therefor walk into her often. She has a thin face and only wears makeup on special occasions. She spends a lot of time wishing she could look nicer and even vows to get up early to make herself look nice but then she finds she is too lazy to get out of bed and all she wants to do is sleep. Alanna often wears sweaters that are too large for her when she is not wearing her uniform and she loves fuzzy socks and will slide around all over in them.
Personality: Alanna is a kind hardworking girl. She is a perfectionist and can be found working very late into the night on essays just to make sure they are worded correctly. That being said Alanna is no genius and she has trouble with classes like Potions and Charms, but she does try hard to get good marks and in the end manages to pull through as a solid B student. Alanna is a bit of a trouble maker, as she always seems to end up lost inside of the school past bed time and for this she has been given detention more times than she would care to count. Alanna has a terrible sense of direction and she keeps a map of the school handy at all times. She s a dedicated person and is very loyal to her friends and her house. She goes to every Quidditch match and cheers for the team. She isn't a shy girl and doesn't have a problem making friends with people.
History: Alanna had no idea that such a thing as magic existed for real when she was eleven. Her parents as well were none the wiser and when the received a letter in the mail inviting her to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry they thought it a hoax. They ignored the letter for a week but then one day the door bell rang and when they opened it they found a man dressed in brilliant robs standing in front of them holding another letter for Alanna. He explained to them that magic was real and after they invited him inside he turned their couch into a cow and back. Wide eyed and amazed then sent an immediate reply back and Alanna was signed up for school.
It was in interesting experience for her whole family when they tried to buy her school supplies, they all got so confused with what was what and had to spend three days to make sure they got everything right. eventually the time came for her to go to school and her parents waves her off and then away she went on the Hogwarts express.
At the sorting ceremony she was put into Ravenclaw. She sent letters everyday for the first few months telling her parents everything about magic and then eventually the letters became weekly ones and it is a tradition she and her parents keep up.
Other: Alanna is a big fan of the Potters and she had read up all that she could on the subject of Harry and the Dark Lord. She secretly keeps and eye out for any of the potter kids and makes an effort to say hello the them as much as possible.
