Kata gasped as she rubbed the back of her head and sat up. Had a scrawny kid seriously just shoved her to the ground then gone off to snicker at her with his friends? "Don't be so cocky." She muttered, glaring at them. One of them glanced back and quickly hurried off, practically dragging his friends with him.
Kat sighed sharply, putting hair back into the bun it was in. She kept her hair up, mostly to show off the mark on the back of her neck.
One curl fell from the bun, framing her face and lighting up her blue eyes. "Don't I feel loved." She said to herself softly, standing up to brush off her sea green tank-top and jeans. It was late spring, and the weather was warming up quickly. Today it wasn't so bad, but normally she would often just stay in the that room her and Alina shared because it was cooler in there.
Leaning forward, she savored the feeling of the wind caressing her ivory skin.
Even though she acted like the curse didn't bother her, it really did. She lost everything, and now was one of the most hated people around.
Of course, what she gained almost made up for what she lost. Mostly.
Putting her hand on her neck, she realized she was bleeding. Well, that just made this moment so much better.
"Great. Just Great." She growled, wiping the blood that was on her hand off on her jeans.

Alina was sitting outside, tending to a small garden she had started not too long ago. It wasn't doing so well as it seemed like every time she checked it, it was smashed to pieces. She studied a small half-budded rose in her hand with a sad look. It was crushed, never to be regenerated back to it's once lively state. What had this newborn rose ever done to those normal humans? Absolutely nothing, and yet here it was, broken, petals torn. Aline sighed and smiled at it regardless as she pet one of the soft petals before throwing it to the side and replanting a few more seeds. This time she would try growing daisies. "It's the perfect time of year for them," she said to herself as she looked up at the sun shining brightly overhead.

Alina stood up and wiped the dirt off her hands, putting her hands to her hips and studying the small garden. It was small and had been ripped apart many times, but here it was, still as lively as ever. Or maybe that's just what it wanted her think. She shrugged it off and went back inside the house to make some lunch for herself and maybe the others. She enjoyed helping out in any way she could offer.

The sound of piano filled a massive room: Debussy- Arabesque. To every key belonged a step, to every sound a piruette, to every note a plie'. The only witness to this show of ballet was the sun outside. The music had been playing continuously for hours, as did the ballerina. Never has she stopped. Her gracious moves were accompanied by the dim rays of sunlight that iluminated the room. When the last note of the song was played, Ame stopped, for she knew her practice was over. Ballet was the only activity that could help her collect herself, distract her from everything, especially from her curse.

She let her long raven hair loose and headed to the kitchen for a glass of water. She could never be thankfull enough for the boys that took her and the other girls in.She saw Alina in the kitchen "Mornin" she smiled a little.

Alina offered Ame a smile. "'Morning? You've been in your room a little too long. It's noon now," she said with a short laugh. She pushed a plate to the side in her direction. "Would you like some lunch?" she offered. She wasn't the best of cooks, but she knew she wasn't half bad either. After having to fend for yourself and your younger brother for so long, you tend to learn some things about cooking a good meal. Of course, sandwiches shouldn't be considered a 'well-cooked meal,' but it was lunch, not dinner, and food was food.

"Have you seen the others?" she asked after a moment of silence. "I think Kata went out earlier." She inwardly frowned. Going out when it wasn't a school day was never the best of ideas when they were who they were. Alina worried some for Kata's condition. She hated this as much as the rest of them, but she supposed the girls' and boys' company was better for lifting her spirits than her brooding father's.

"Right it's noon already...sorry I've been practicing since 6 AM. And no thanks...I can't really eat." she smiled back. "I haven't seen any of them." she grabbed a glass of water and drank it. "Need any help cooking?" as her parents weren't home most of the time, she did everything in the house, from cleaning, reparing broken stuff, playing the bills to cooking. "I hope Kata's alright" she looked concerned.

Momoko sighed to herself. She had been up reading in bed since 7am and she finally finished the book."Happily ever after." she whispered silently to herself, before putting on a dress and walked into the kitchen. She looked at the girls sadly. Do all stories have a happy ending? Or is ours an exception?" she asked, then, without waiting for an answer, she walked out to the garden. Sitting on a swing, Momoko swung slightly on a swing when suddenly, it went faster against her will. She heard a laugh behind her.
"Why are you looking so sad? Did something happen?" Kyle asked from behind, still pushing the swing. Momoko sighed, letting her hair sway.
"Yes, something happened and I ended up with this mark on my neck. Didn't you know?" she responded sarcastically and there was an awkward silence.
"I guess that was a dumb question. Alina and Ame are in the kitchen ,y'know." Kyle said.
Momoko ignore his comment. "How are you so carefree? Your life can't be that easy, right?"
"I learn to ignore the hardships. Lollipop?" he asked, taking one out of his pocket. He sighed when Momoko shook her head. "I'm gonna ask inside." And with that Kyle ran inside and asked the girls if they wanted a lollipop. When he looked outside, Momoko was halfway over the fence. She was going out to look for Kata. She saw some boys running in her direction and they pulled at her foot so she fell off the fence. She picked up a few rocks and flung them all at their heads, none missing, and sighed. "Clear off." she muttured as they ran off. "Cowards." Momoko looked at her ankle. It had swollen, but she stood up anyway and continued her search.

Kata moaned as it started to rain. Perfect. "Really? Now? It was just sunny!!!" She hissed at the sky, quickly seeking out shelter.
Within minutes she was drenched, and caught sight of Momoko. "Momo!" she called, running towards her.
Kat had never really even asked if she had liked nickname, bad it was a force of habbit.
When they were little, Kata had shortened her friend's name.
Taking her friends elbow, she quickly ran to the house, softly hissing at the sky.
After making it into the house, she crumpled against the door.the wound at the base of her neck was worse then she thought, but she tried to ignore it.
"Well, good morning. Can I have a towel?" She asked softly, letting her long hair down and shaking it out like a dog.
"UGH. I'm SO WET."

Ame saw Momoko and Kata run into the house. She quickly grabbed a towel and handed it to Kata."You alright?" she asked with a concerned face."Hey Momoko " she smiled at the latter. "Do you girls need anything to eat?"

Momoko shook her head, noticing Kata’s wound. She walked upstairs and got her small first aid kit, and the ice pack she kept in the fridge for emergencies. She placed it on Kata’s wound for a while then she took it off and stuck a plaster with anti-septic on. She noticed the ‘D’ and became depressed so she trotted off upstairs with a tub of icecream. The girls and boys knew she was addicted to the stuff and Kyle sighed. He walked over to Kata and unwrapped a lolipop.
“Here!” he said, popping it in her mouth and sitting down at the table, eating his own. “What’s for breakfast?” Kyle asked, not even realising it was past lunch time now.
Sitting on her bed, Momoko sobbed quietly, reading and re-reading the book she was reading earlier. Happily ever afters don’t exist in the real world. she thought solemnly.

Alina hardly had a chance to reject Kyle's offer of a piece of candy before Momoko had returned with Kata, soaking wet to say the least. She frowned as she noticed the wound on the back of Kata's neck, but didn't have a chance to help before Ame and Momoko had already done the job. This brought her to a smile again. It was a nice change to be around people who cared for each other. It'd been a long time since she--or, she's sure, any of the others--have. It was a pleasant feeling. She giggled as Kyle popped the lollipop into Kata's mouth.

"For lunch," Alina corrected, "I've made us all open-faced sandwiches." She laid out the plates on the counter and looked around. "I'll go tell the others about lunch, so go ahead and dig in. If you want anything else, you know what to do." Assured that she was no longer needed, Alina left the kitchen to go searching for the others. She stopped outside the first room she came to and hesitated to knock. What if he was sleeping? She didn't want to disturb him... But, it was past noon, so she supposed it would be alright. "Damian? Would you like to join us for lunch?" she called through the door.

Kata opened her mouth to tell them her cut was really nothing, but was cut off when Kyle popped a lollipop in her mouth. Giving him a small smile, she ran her hands through her long hair, wringing it out.
She then wrapped then towel around herself and shivered. "I'm s-sooo cold." Kat muttered as she walked up the stairs. After changed and drying her hair, she came downstairs with a smile.
She wore a blue shirt that matched her eyes/hair paired with jeans and white flats. "Ah, much better."
Without really realizing it, she touched the strangly blue birthmark on her cheekbone. It was shaped as a star, and on some days she loves, toher times she hated it.
Leaning on Kyle, she looked at the others. "Guys, I think they might actually be letting up. At least I didn't break anything this time."

Damian was balancing his soccer ball on the top of his head, just to past time. His headphones hung loosely around his neck, but he can still hear the music coming out. His head tilted over to the side as someone knocked on the door. Lowering the volume, he opened the door, staring at Alina. "Lunch? Sure sounds good." he answered with a small smile. Damian allowed the soccer ball to fall into his hands before he tossed it over to his bed.

"What's for lunch?" he asked walking out of his room. Speaking of lunch.. he was hungry. He had yesterday's dinner, and today's breakfast, so he hadnt eaten anything since then. To make things worse, his stomache have off a horrible growl. "Yikes..." he muttered with a small chuckle. Before his stomache can continue its complaining, Damian hurried down the stairs.

Alina was glad to see Damian joining them for lunch and stepped out of his way as he went by. She smiled and laughed some at the noise coming from his stomach. "Just sandwiches, nothing too great. I would have gone shopping, but it seems to be pouring outside." Her smile dropped to a sort of pout. "And just as I watered my flowers," she sighed. They were never going to make it in this world. They were her favorite hobby and kept her mind distracted, not to mention reminded her of happier times. They were things to take care of.

"I wonder if I should just give up on them," she said aloud, half-laughing, but it was more forced than anything with hardly any emotion in it. Still, she put on a small smile.
