Age: 17
Description: Heather has shoulder length, natural red hair that is slightly wavy and dark greenish-brown eyes. Her skin is not especially pale, but not especially tanned either. She normally wears light make up, tee shirts, jeans, and converse, but also occasionally dresses up either for a special occasion, or just because she feels like it. Her nose is somewhat crooked from breaking it a couple times, but not noticeably crooked unless seen closely. She also has various small scars.
Ability: She has the ability to fly, but, due to a terrible fear of heights, she can only fly with her eyes completely closed. There have been many attempts to fix this, but it has been deemed impossible for her to fly with her eyes open. She will sometimes begin hovering when she sleeps and even may float around the room.
Personality: Heather is often sarcastic, but it is rarely out of any meanness. She is very kind, often putting others before herself, and loves to laugh and have fun with friends. When someone is quiet or not having fun, she will try to include them, or even just sit with them, to make sure no one is being left out. This stems from her own dislike of being left out. She is clever and loves figuring out puzzles and mysteries. Though she can do better in school, she has excellent grades.
She is frustrated with her fear of heights, and likes to try to conquer it. Despite this, however, she will get shaky and dizzy just looking up without even being an inch above the ground. She is fairly clumsy, and will often be heard saying ouch every few minutes as she bumps into something. This, of course, does not help her fear of heights.

Weaknesses/Fears: Since Heather has an intense fear of heights and flying, her powers are almost useless unless she is forced to use them. When she flies, she must either be directed by someone, though she is too weak to carry anyone, or do a terrifying, jerky, up-and-down flight by opening her eyes briefly to see what is in front of her.
Biography: Heather was the only child of young, loving parents. As a child, Heather was often teased about her bright red hair, and was nicknamed carrots. She would often come home in tears to escape the teasing. As she got older, with the advice and encouragement from her parents, she began successfully ignoring the teasing, and, eventually, laughing along. She began fitting in when she stopped letting the teasing alienate her, and became known for her good sense of humor.
When she was fourteen, she accidentally discovered her powers and ended up crashing into a wall. Her parents, at first very encouraging, tried to help her fly without closing her eyes, but it wasn't doing much good. They even sent her to therapy for her hear of heights, but she still made little progress. Frustrated at their inability to help their daughter, they sent her to the Academy for Somewhat Superhumans when she was fifteen to see if they would be able to help.
Extra: Heather hates the school's "affectionate" nickname, and will just call it the Academy.
