Inventory
She has a small knife she keeps in her boot. She used to have a bow, but since returning to her home, she doesn’t keep it on her. She usually has a few basic healing potions on her for various things like the flu or minor wounds. She has some money, but not much. She keeps a spell book with her as well, even though she doesn't understand the writing. Vanth gave it to her.. She has an amulet necklace that she only wears when doing powerful spells, and otherwise keeps hidden. It’s black and glows black when she uses it.
Magic Spell Heal
Name:
Type: Light (And Dark, because it is extremely powerful for her level.)
Element: none.
Range: Only works if she is touching the person.
Class: A
Effect: It heals the person of any physical wound, poison, or illness.
Description: It is extremely painful to have done. Although the effects are immediate, it takes the person about a day to recover from the spell itself. Normally the caster would need a day to get their full strength back, but because Talia taps into dark magic, she is fine within an hour or so.
(She is able to do a weaker version of this spell without the help of the amulet, but it can only heal minor wounds, and small amounts of poison. She needs about half a day to have her complete strength back after this. Because of her weak body, she can't manage doing spells without becoming weak.)

Little Biography
Talia grew up on the poor side. Her father could never hold a job, but he loved his family dearly. Her mother made a meager wage by sewing clothes, but they weren’t the best, so she never sold much. Her mother first got sick when she was 12, but seemed to make a recovery. She fell completely ill when Talia was 15 and that’s when the girl decided to look for a cure. She wandered for a couple years, when she came across a young man, maybe in his late twenties. He was handsome, and he told her he knew what she was looking for. Naturally she followed him to his home. It was a large home with exotic flowers and fancy decorations in the front. It was made of stone, and hidden deep in the forest. Something seemed off about it, but Talia was desperate to cure her mother. This man, Vanth told her he could sense the magic in her. He said he could summon it, for a price. Essentially, she sold her soul to this man, not knowing he was a powerful dark wizard. He gave her the black amulet, which allows her to tap into his dark magic and use it when she needs to. In return, she must come when he calls her and do whatever he says. Most times he has her collect information, but other times she does evil things, like set people up. She hates what she does, but if she doesn’t he will kill her, and strip her of her powers. When she got back to her home after selling her soul, she had found her mother had died. She had done it all for nothing. She never told her father what she had done, but she did heal him of his weakening body from stress, malnutrition and suffering.

Marco slammed his empty mug down and motioned the bartender over. "Another beer, would you?" He grinned and leaned back in his chair. He'd just arrived in Arandia about three days ago and he was enjoying his freedom. He hadn't broken his promise to his lover back home to stay faithful... yet. And there were many beautiful women here. Entertainers as well. He smiled as a two girls wearing corsets, and lots of feathers walked by. They disappeared through curtains into the back room. He smiled and downed the beer the tender had just placed in front of him. He wiped his face with the back of his hand and stood up. He slapped the man next to him on the back. "Nice drinking with you, mate." The small man looked a bit frightened and turned back to his half drunken beer. Marco snorted and began walking to the back room where the exotic girls had went.

Before he could take two steps, a girl with straight blonde hair falling in her eyes caught his attention. She head her head down and she was pushing her food around her plate. She looked quite distraught. He sat in the seat across from her. "Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with you food?" He asked her with a friendly smile, and light hearted tone in his voice. Her pretty face and hair was quite the contrast to her torn up gloves and otherwise raggedy clothing. Either she was trying to blend in, or she had a tough go for the past few years. Marco couldn't control his curiosity.

"No. I hardly had food growing up to survive, let alone enough to play with." Her voice wasn't harsh, and she didn't look up at him, just kept her eyes down on her plate. "Anyway, my mother is dead." She meant to take a quick glance at him, but his good-looking face caught her off guard and she couldn't look away. His tan skin and perfect jawline surprised her. His dark hair was pulled back in a braid, but a few stray strands fell in his face. She stared at the dramatic scar on one half of his face.

"I'm so sorry," Marco replied to her. "I didn't mean--"

"It's fine. You didn't know. I'm Talia," the girl said. "So what's your name?" she asked, trying to get the attention off of herself.

"Marco." He sid and held out a hand. Normally Talia didn't shake hands because sometimes the marks, always immediately recognized as things associated with dark magic, emitted an aura of darkness, and people could feel the evil seeping into them. At this point Talia wanted Marco to leave her alone. The last time she got involved with a good looking guy like this, not only did she get her heart broken, but Vanth punished her. He never much liked men hitting on her, not to mention her courting them. Much to her disgust, Vanth liked to fancy that they were taken by each other. He did practically own her, so he could do what he will with her. He'd never had his way with her, which she was thankful for. Talia was shaken out of her thoughts by Marco's fingers tickling her own, still waiting for the hand shake. She automatically pulled back, but then, she slid her hand into his, hoping once he felt the evil he would leave her alone. Of course, the one time the dark magic residing in her was dormant was when she needed it. Marco didn't feel a thing, and he continued to sit there with her.

"Well, I better be off," Talia said and lifted her hood onto her head. She stood to leave, and Marco stood as well.

"Why won't you stay a bit and talk?" Marco asked innocently. He wasn't involved enough to become violent. That usually only happened after knowing a girl for a few weeks. Sometimes a month.

"No, I can't." She said and tried to push past him. He put one arm on the edge of the booth they were just occupying, and another hand on the back of the chair closest to them, blocking her way.

Marco frowned and leaned down so he could see her eyes. They were fearful. "Are you seeing someone already?" He asked.

"Something like that." She said dryly, meeting his hard gaze with her own emotionless eyes.

"What does that mean?" he asked, crossing his arms. When Talia started to walk he grabbed her arms and stopped her.

"None of your business." She growled at him.

"Woah, woah. I wasn't trying to make you mad. Listen if someone's hurting you, I can help you." Marco said. Isn't that ironic, Marco the hero coming out. Think offering protection to this stranger will make up for the horrors you've done? Somewhere inside his head, Marco was being taunted. He closed his eyes and grit his teeth together. He fought off the voices and looked at the girl in front of him.

Talia had sat back down in the booth. "The best way you can help me is to stop talking to me."

Marco smiled and sat down across from her once again. "Sorry, but you're just too lovely for me to leave alone."

Kanon or the K has she was known by others, had just finished her job, she had to kill an arrogant man. She was still drenched in blood but she didn't care about stuff like that until she saw her clothes "What the hell?! My clothes! Even after you're dead you still give me problems!" she yelled angrily and kicked the face of the dead man.

She was tired and starving, so she started to walk around, and when the people saw her they would avoid her because she was all bloody. She actually had fun in killing because it was always bad people so it had a weird sense of justice in it, or so she thought.

She saw a bar or a tavern and without second thoughts she walked in. It was bit messy, but she was starving so she sat on the chair and called the waiter.

"What do you want?" He said in a rude voice.

"Hmph...A beer and some meat" Kanon replied in a cold voice.

The waiter leaved and she started to count her money "They paid me well this time" she whispered.

In the tavern were mostly man and some entertainers. The mans looked disgusting, they were all grabbing the girls like they were some toy, Kanon hated that the most.

She saw a blond girl talking to a man, at first it was all good, but then he started to annoy the girl. Kanon stayed quiet but she is hot-tempered so not long after she got up and walked in their direction.

She kicked the man onto the ground and yelled angrily at him "You pervert, what the hell do you think you're doing?!"

Garth sat quietly in the back of the tavern, munching on his last apple as he watched and listened to the rowdy patrons around him. He liked drunk people more than most, since they were more likely to make wagers on things he knew he would win. His coin bag was distressingly empty at the moment, having used it all on supplies and traveling to this new land, but he had a feeling this place was full to bursting with opportunities to fill it again. In fact, this very room had a few interesting people in it right now, people who looked like they might be looking for opportunities of their own.

There was the big fellow at the bar who looked like he could carry an Ox on his shoulder and eat two for breakfast. He could be useful if something came up that required a bit more muscle or a lot of intimidating. Then, there was the blonde in rags on the other side of the room. Her old gloves weren't doing a very good job of covering the white markings on her hands, markings that Garth knew meant she had some skills at healing. She too could be useful if some fool with a blade got lucky before Garth could kill him. Finally there was the girl with the blades. Judging by the amount of blood on her and them, she was fairly good at using them and from the way her coin purse clinked as she walked, she got paid to use them a lot.

Then, as if the fates were intervening on his behalf, all three of the people he had been watching ended up at the same table. The big guy went over to the healer, the healer got uncomfortable and tried to leave, the big guy tried to stop her and then the girl with the blades intervened and dropped the big guy with a kick that made Garth wince in sympathy. He took a last bite from his apple and tossed it over his shoulder as he watched the events unfold with interest.

Marco was taken off guard by the powerful kick. He could feel himself getting angry, but he clenched his jaw and looked up at the girl from the floor. "I think I was just having a nice chat with Talia here," he said and gestured towards the blonde girl. She had her hand covering half of her face and she was glancing between the blood covered girl and Marco between her fingers. She was slightly embarrassed, even more so than she was before.

"Right. You were just leaving, weren't you?" Talia stood up and glared at Marco. He stood up with a grimace and towered over the both of them. His eyes turned to slits as he looked at the blood covered girl. She was young. Much too young to have blood on her hands, literally. He nodded and let his eyes settle on Talia.

"Yeah, actually I was. But don't forget what I said," He had bent down and was looking in Talia's eyes straight on. She held his gaze for half a second, then looked down.

"Yeah, okay." She said. It was half sarcastically, because she knew he couldn't do anything about it. Vanth could kill him in a second. He might even might Talia kill Marco herself. Lucky enough for her, he hadn't been tuning in when he was talking to her. And, as far as she knew, he didn't have anyone following her at the time.

Marco shook his head one last time before stalking off to the bar. He order mug after mug, until he was drunk. He began to sing song with the other men at the the bar. They were made up songs and they all chose their own lyrics, but somehow, it was still a song. He toasted a few times, once to wizards, another time to bow and arrows and the last to feet because "We can't get anywhere without them!"

Talia looked over to the girl. "Thanks, but you didn't have to. He wasn't being all that rude," Talia shrugged. She shivered and had the sudden urge to punch the girl for getting in her business. She sat back down in the booth instead and said a silent hello to Vanth in her head. The palms of her hands stung a bit as the dark magic coursed through her veins and found it's way to her palms. Her eyes darkened a bit, and she looked up at the girl. "Why don't you sit down," She offered to her. She wasn't necessarily looking to make friends, but some company couldn't hurt. She glanced around the room. She noticed Marco and his choir, singing and toasting away. She saw a few more scantily clad women giggling and flirting with some other guys enjoying the entertainment. Her eyes once more passed over Marco then settled on a man wearing grey and blue wizards robes. He was looking at Marco, then he looked back over to the table she was sitting at. She looked down at her hands and began fiddling with her gloves, making certain her palms were completely hidden. "Like Marco said, I'm Talia. What's your name?" She asked the girl. She kept glancing at the guy in the robes. From his dressing she assumed he was a wizard, similar to herself. He wasn't dark though, that she knew right away. She was thankful for that.

Kanon stayed quiet and listened to the complaints of the big man, he was really tall and had really good muscles. For a moment she thought "I'm screwed! Why did I mind others business?!" yet the man only got a bit angry and walked away. Somehow she got relieved.

Then she looked at the girl and noticed that she wasn't that happy whit her actions. Before saying anything she observed what she was doing with her hands, and saw her eyes became black, "A healer, and user of dark magic, am I right?" she thought, she wasn't that sure about that, because she wasn't into magic.

She sat down like Talia suggested and calmly said "I'm known as the K but you can call me Kanon. I apologize for sticking my nose into your business. It's just that I'm a bit hot-tempered." it was really hard for her saying those words, she usually didn't apologize, but she didn't had a choice, "As my apologies your food is my treat" she finally said.

She had some wounds on her body and her arms were all scratched and bruised, she gave a quick glance at them and sighed, like it was no big deal, after all she was always getting badly hurt.

Then Kanon noticed a man observing them, he was quite good looking and looked like a wizard. Kanon called the waiter and ordered a beer and started to drink at the same time she looked at the man. It was pretty obvious that she was looking at him, but she really didn't care if he noticed that she was looking at him or not, she was too tired too care about being discrete.

As the waves beat against the large wooden ship, Kaim climbed the large mast of the ship. The climb would seem difficult to most, but to a sailor or Kaim himself, this was child’s play. The captain had even been surprised to see Kaim be so useful on the ship. For a few days, they had taken him for a simple man, who sought a new life. They soon realised that what he sought was vengeance. After his first night, he had broken the arm of the sailor. It had happened quickly. One of the sailors had drunk too much and had taken upon himself the task to beat up Kaim. “A curse in these seas” he had called him. The man was not much of a fighter, so blocking him had not been too difficult. Kaim had received a punch to the face, but the fight had quickly ended with the man on the floor, an arm twisted backwards. But that was 2 months ago... For two months Kaim had been at sea and now as he climbed the mast of the ship, he could see the new land called Arandia. In a few hours the crew would feel the earth beneath them.

Two hours later and Kaim placed his foot on the wooden port. Not truly on land, but close enough. Taking a few more steps, he set his foot on the real ground. The feeling was strange; not having waves and water beneath your feet. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. The air was salty, but he could smell the forest and the trees. Something he had waited so long to see...a tree! “Aye, lad!” Kaim turned around to see the captain throw at him a leather bag. “Here’s ya stuff.” He walked to Kaim and placed a hand on his shoulder. “Hope ya find what you’re looking for boy...” Kaim nodded and left. Captain Crom was a good man. Around his forties, his grey beard said much about his wisdom and years at the sea. With a pipe in his mouth and the size of his arms, he was unmistakably a sailor.

As he walked through the city, Kaim looked into his bag. This is what he had left with: His weak bronze sword at his side, a knife, rope, few coins, potions, a needle and an antidote. Kaim would start his search soon enough...but firstly he needed to fix his sword and go to an inn. It was not hard to find a blacksmith. The smoke rising from the chimney was a clear signal. Stepping inside the shop, Kaim found a large man with huge shoulders. “Excuse me sir? How much will it cost to fix this blade?” The man took Kaim’s sword. “My god...that is one heck of a mess! Its only bronze though...so I’ll say 10 bronze coins” Kaim nodded and handed him the blade. “Come back later, it will be ready.” Kaim nodded and left the shop, now heading for the inn. Once he was inside, he realized that he had been mistake and it was a bar. A few strange characters were in the place. Two women sat and ate at a table while a strange looking man, probably a wizard, sat in the corner of the table. There were many type of men here, some were indeed warriors...maybe one of them was one of the assassins Kaim searched for? Kaim did not seem like much compared to the others. He wore a black leather shirt and grey pants. Walking to the man at the bar, he sat down and asked. “A glass of water please, with some meat” Spreading a few bronze coins on the table, Kaim closed his eyes and waited for his meal.

Marco was about to order another beer when a Man with dark hair settled a few seats down the bar. He ordered a water and Marco stood up and walked over to him. "Water? This is a bar!! Get him a beer, tender, on me," Marco said and slapped the dark hair man's back. He leaned over and looked at him. He looked a bit dirty, and Marco assumed he had been traveling. "See that girl over there, with the dark hair? She kicked me! Feisty little thing, she is." He grinned and imagined putting her in her place. The man was dominant, and a woman shouldn't get out of her place. He thought of his lover back home and his grin faded. "If she weren't a woman, I'm not sure if she'd still have that leg anymore," Marco shook his head and folded his hands over his chest and stared at the two girls. "The blonde one's who I'm after. Pretty, ain't she? Pretty beat up, that's for sure, but if you get up close her eyes are this crazy grey color," he squinted over at her, and she glanced up at him. Her eyes darted between him and the new guy sitting next to him. Her eyes narrowed then glanced back over to Garth. Marco wasn't able to follow her gaze, so he contented himself with turning back to the guy next to him. "Of course, I'm not at the top of her list right about now. I guess I could give feisty a chance.." He trailed off. "So what brings you here? You didn't get any alcohol, so I assume you're not here to drown your sorrows.. The name's Marco." He concluded. A few men had had been drinking with were stumbling out of the bar, so he went to help get them out the door. As he was helping steady man a bit bigger than him, he lost his foot and crashed into a table, knocking it, and whatever was on it, to the floor. As he rubbed his head, he glanced up to see a man in blue and grey robes.

As Marco stood up, he rubbed his head again. "One too many bears... err beers." The stuff in Arandia must have been stronger than the beer he had back at home. He never got this drunk, ever. He couldn't remember a time he slurred his words, and he never got drunk enough to forget the night. "Sorry," he said gruffly. He stumbled back over to the bar, a few feet away from each of the strangers. He ordered a water and splashed it over his face, shaking off a bit of the alcohol.

Talia saw Kanon looking at her hands and casually dropped them in her lap. She slipped on hand into her small bag and felt around for a few coins. "I'm known as the K but you can call me Kanon. I apologize for sticking my nose into your business. It's just that I'm a bit hot-tempered. As my apologies your food is my treat." Kanon concluded.

"Clearly," Talia said dryly in response to the hot-tempered comment. "It's fine. He went away so.. I can't complain," Talia shrugged. "Thanks," she said. She wasn't about to even think of arguing with Kanon about buying her food. As she felt the few bronze coins, she wasn't even sure she'd have enough to get an inn tonight. As she continued to silently feel around, she realized that she didn't have enough to get an inn. She kept her face neutral, and pushed away her plate. She glanced up and saw Marco with a new guy, leaning against the counter, staring at her and Kanon. She continued to steal glances at him, but was soon being amused as he fumbled around, soon crashing into the wizard. He mumbled something about bears, but she couldn't make it out. She let out a sharp breath, similar to a laugh and shook her head. "Drunkards," she simply stated. She began to ponder her options for the night. Doing... favors... always brought in at least a gold coin, and if not a few silvers were sure to result. The last time she tried doing that, Vanth was pissed. She crossed that off the list and was silently hoping there would be a cheap inn around here somewhere. "What's the blood from?" Talia asked Kanon. When she looked closer, she realized that the girl had bruises and cuts of her own. "I can heal that for you," Talia offered. She would be able to heal these herself and not access Vanth. Presently, she was trying to force him out of her head, but it was a hard fight. He was backing up, but she could tell he was angry that she was pushing him out. "Here," Talia said and laid her fingers on Kanon's arms, careful not to let her palms touch. She knew how much trouble she could get in, being a healer with dark magic.

Garth chuckled and waved the big man away as he righted his table. They had all noticed his watching and had done some watching of their own, everything was going to plan so far, never mind that he was just making it all up as he went along. The two women were talking quietly at their table, each giving him curious glances every now and again. The man had returned to the bar and begun talking loudly with another, dark-haired man who had just walked in, while gesturing in the direction of the two women. He seemed more interested in them at the moment and that suited Garth right down to the ground, because if he could get the healer to come with him, then he was sure the other two would follow and the big man might even bring his new friend along.

He dug around inside his robes for a moment, not sure what he was looking for, until his hand closed around the hilt of his knife. Not sure if his plan would work how he wanted it to, he left his knife in its sheathe and went over what he could tell about the interesting people in the room. The blonde woman was a healer of some degree, so she was at least kind-hearted, even if she looked like she had given someone the clothes off her back a few times too many. She was not timid, as demonstrated when she stood up to the Ox-man, so would probably not respond well to threats or a show of force. The other two were far simpler to figure out, being that they looked more like seasoned warriors. They both had skill and strength in varying degrees and could commit violence without warning or obvious provocation. Given how they presented themselves in public, they didn't much care what other people thought of them, one covered in blood and the other trying to drink the tavern dry.

The only relative unknown was the newcomer, but judging by his looks and his walk, he had just arrived in Arandia by boat. So he too, was looking for opportunities in a new and wild land.

His fingertips danced on the tabletop as he considered hi options. He would have better luck finding work and living to get paid for it if he had some competent companions, but was it worth the risk of trying to get them to come with him? Especially since two of them were already at odds, though that could be passed of as alcohol and adrenaline.

What to do?

Kanon was focused in drinking her beer when Talia said something that caught her attention. "Ah, don't worry it isn't mostly mine. It's part of the job" she calmly said. Then Talia offered to heal her, in fact Kanon was right when she thought that Talia was a healer. She wasn't going to refuse an opportunity like that, because being injured could get her killed. After all she was an assassin.

"If it isn't asking much" she said and extended her arms to her has she healed her. "Thank you very much, I owe you one" she thanked her and gave a quick smile. "Well, I don't want to trouble you anymore than this. So, see you" she said that and got up.

She walked to the bar and the only spot now open was were the big man was now with another guy. I'm really lucky aren't I?she thought, not so happy. She didn't have another choice so she just sat on that spot. She gave a quick glance at the man that looked like a wizard, that was observing them all.

"Hey give some meat and more beer, and make it quick that I gotta go work soon!" she said while looking at her now healed arms.

Talia didn't say anything as Kanon got up and left. She just nodded goodbye while cursing in her head. Damnit, she didn't pay for my meal like she said she would. Tali dropped her last few coins on the table and returned the empty coin purse, save the amulet, back into her leather bag. She was feeling tired after the spell, and realized her kindness was really only to spite Vanth, who, so kindly, had returned to her head.

Come see me.. The thought grazed her mind, and she let it fade away, as softly as it came. Vanth's voice was like silver. It coated every dark thought she ever had, and made them seem desirable. What he said wasn't an order, but she was afraid it would turn into one soon enough. There is a mage near you... Talk to him... Lead him to me... I can access his power through one simple spell.. Talia closed her eyes. This wasn't the first time she had heard these words. Many times, she lead wizards to Vanth, and watched as he used dark magic to steal away their own power. Every time this happened, it became a little easier for the girl, and even she could feel their magic through hers and Vanth's strong connection. She pushed her hair behind her ears and made her way over to his table.

She put her hands behind her back and gave him a frightened smile. "Listen.." She muttered. "I don't normally do this, but..." She trailed off, seeming as if she was trying to gather her thoughts. "You're a mage right? I'm a healer. And I can only do maybe two spells, could you help me?" She finally said, all in one breath. Of course, she had been telling the truth. On her own, that's all she can manage, but with dark magic, there is a whole world at her finger tips, or rather, the palms of her hands. "I'm sorry, I just.." She bit her lip and absently began fiddling with her hair. "I'm Talia," She said softly, but with a concluding tone of voice. Her eyes searched his for any sign that he might know about her secret, but she concluded only dark wizards could sense other dark magic, unless physically felt.

Marco dried his face with his sleeve and inspected the feisty girl. Her arms weren't as cut up anymore, and that confused him. She mentioned that her food needed to be quick because she had to work. "And where exactly do you work?" Marco questioned her, returning next to Kaim.

Kanon realized that she hadn't paid for Talia's meal, immediately she called the bartender and told him to return the money to the other girl that was sitting with the man that looked like a wizard, and gave him the money from her meal.

She was waiting for her food, when noticed a good looking man, with dark hair almost fell from his chair when he looked at her. Just by one look she realized that he was like her, an assassin.
Her food arrived and then she noticed that exactly man was looking at her with dark eyes, Maybe he knows me? Or...he's after me like the others?...Hmm...Let's just observe him for a while.

Kanon continued to look at that man, when a male voice interrupted her from her thoughts. "And where exactly do you work?" he asked her. She turned her head to him and thought before answering, then she told him "I don't particularly have a place where I work at. It's complicated...Why do you want to know anyway?", Kanon asked that, and started to eat, but always with attention to the man that she had kicked, he could want revenge, and also paying attention to the other assassin that had caught her interest.

Garth smiled widely as the blonde woman approached and spoke to him. Her name was Talia and she wanted him to teach her the ways of magic, things could not have gone any better. Now, how best to draw her in?

"Magic" he barked a short laugh as he considered his next words, "I could teach you magic, yes, but it is not a simple thing. It cannot be learned overnight."

He scratched his chin thoughtfully as he stared at her, "You have some skill with Healing, so you're experienced in using senses beyond the physical, perhaps you will catch on to the concepts quicker."

His fingers danced on the table, "I suppose, if you don't mind tagging along on my search for work and adventure, I could teach you what I know as we travel. You may even find opportunities to put your own skills to work along the way."

He looked around the room and noticed that the Ox-mans' drinking buddy had left while he was speaking to Talia, and that the Blade-girl was now talking to the Ox-man at the bar. Perhaps they could work together after all. He looked back at Talia, who was still standing next to his table, and gave her a half smile, then he stood and patted himself down distractedly, making sure everything was still there, while giving the room one last glance. He turned and met her eyes before heading for the door, pausing next to her to say "I'm heading out, you're welcome to join me if you wish", then stepping out into the street.

He took a deep breath of air, savoring it after sitting in the tavern for so long, as he made a few quick decisions. First, he would follow the most well established road to the next town or city or village. Second, he would not flaunt his magical prowess to every person he came across, he would always grab his sword first so that enemies would underestimate him. Third, he would need to ask about what kind of creatures lived in the area, so that he could be better prepared for any encounters he may have through work or travel. That done, he set off down the road at a leisurely pace, glancing sideways at a signpost as he passed it.

"To Hillsbrad"

Talia tried her best to keep the nervous look on her face. When he said he wouldn't mind if she tagged along, she couldn't help but feel like a lost puppy he found cute, so he was taking pity on. She figured it was better than nothing. After she found out how powerful he was, she would work on bring him to Vanth. She smiled at him and nodded. "I wish to join you," and with that, she followed him out of the tavern, much like the lost puppy she felt like. Once he turned his back to her, she smiled sinfully, but she used a gloved hand to hide it. When her hands returned to her sides, one of the barkeeps stopped her and handed back the money she had paid for her meal. She smiled at him and thanked him, knowing that Kanon had kept her promise after all. As the man touched her hand, his eyes widened and he returned the bar, convincing himself that he imagined it. Talia studied the man who she was walking closely behind. She could see his profile, and it kind of looked like he was thinking. She bit her lip and pulled her hood up closer to her face to keep warm. "So, what's your name? Or, how should I address you?" She asked. She wasn't sure how this was going to work out. If they were to be comrades, or he was more of a teacher-figure. the blonde woman looked around searching for nothing, and everything at the same time. She saw a hill with a tree in the distance. As she looked closer, she thought she saw a figure, and for a split second she thought it might be Vanth. She swallowed hard and picked up her pace so she was walking next to the wizard man. She concluded that it couldn't have been Vanth, he wouldn't be watching from afar. She kept glancing over there, though, trying to figure out if someone was really sitting there, or her mind was playing tricks.

Marco shrugged. "I don't know, I mean you're covered in blood. I don't suspect you're a butcher. Assassin maybe?" Marco guessed. He watched Talia talking to the man who he had fallen into earlier, and soon they left together. Marco let out a short sigh and grimaced. Of course a girl like her would go for a mage rather than a brute, but he was inclined to follow her. "Your friend's leaving," he said to Kanon and pointed to the door. He hoped that she would follow, because that would give him an excuse to go to. He didn't know why that would justify it, but it did. In his drunk brain, it did.

Kanon saw the other assassin leave the tavern, He left already? Too bad. After that she heard the man's guess and just gave a quick smile and told him "Who knows?".
Then Talia and the mage left too, she didn't really care. But Marco said "Your friend's leaving" she immediately looked at him and told him "Huh? Friend? Yeah, right!", she paid her meal and got up. Kanon checked her belongings, and she had everything with her.
She looked at the man, He clearly wants an excuse to tag along with that girl, she sighed and told him "Why don't you follow her? Instead of looking like that" she gave a last smile and said "See you" and left too.
She stopped on the outside of the tavern and pulled out of the pocket a piece of paper, "Go to Hillsbrad" it said. Oh well, I think I should get going...But I'm too tired, should I find a inn?

Kanon stopped her thoughts of going to a inn and started to walk. While walking she thought "If I keep going like this, it will take too long! Ah! I know, I'm gonna follow a shortcut, that way is much more easier and I can be there sooner!" she started to look for a shortcut, and then she saw a small hill. Well, climbing a hill it's a bit hard, but it's faster.. And so she decided to climb the hill, that was a tiring task, so she started to run out of breath. "Huff...Huff...I think I'm gonna take a small break." Kanon whispered to herself. She saw a tree, and immediately slid on it and sat on the ground, she could swear there was someone on the tree that she was leaning against, It's just my imagination, right?, she tried to convince herself.
