He says, "Well, I pay the producers for their product, then I sell it for more to the consumer.' Well, I thought, that wasn't quite right. So I wait another couple years, comin' of age and all that. Then I headed back to the mountains.
"I got back there, and I got a couple people together. I told 'em that their stuff was worth more than what they were getting for it, that they were getting ripped off. Well, they got right upset. So, I told them how they could get more money, which is by getting together and demanding it. They thought it was a splendid idea, and of course who better to head it up than the guy who put it together? Well, our little union grew and grew, taking in just about anyone who made something to sell. And here we are, so many years later."
