At A Glance
Full Name: Ulmo Anthony Powler
Nicknames: Anthony, Tony
Age: 19
Birthdate: 6/23
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Role: Prince of Flames

Personality
Likes: Warm climate, Fire pits, Sunny days, hunting, reading, travelling, swimming
Dislikes: Cold, Ice, sitting idly, arrogance, indoors
Fears: Heights, containment
Goals: To make his own kingdom far from his current home.

Personality: Anthony is a hot headed soldier with a temper to match his bloodline. He dislikes being the heir to the throne, seeing as how he was raised by military personnel and was taught that all he had to do in life was fight the Kingdom of Frost at every turn. His anger on the battlefield helped him accomplish this, however, when out of the fray he's entirely different, constantly smiling and cracking jokes unless he's hunting.

Normal Clothing: Anthony tends to wear a crimson, canvas, button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, black cargo pants and black climbing boots. He's never been one for royal attire, instead preferring to look his part as his father's youngest general without the medals adorning his chest. All his clothes are lined with a layer of tiny metal plates that protect him, but are interconnected in a way which allows him to move freely as ever.

Capabilities
Favorite Weapon(s): He always carries a collapsible cross bow and a short scimitar. Neither of these weapons are used by anyone outside his family as of yet.

Skills: Anthony can stalk a deer in the woods for weeks on end without being caught, however he never does as he's too impatient to wait that long. On top of that, he has the rare ability of pyrokenesis, a power which lets him create and manipulate fire, so much so that he can draw the sun from behind the clouds when he doesn't want cloudy weather.

Biography

Ulmo was born an illegitimate son of the king and one of his affairs, growing up in secrecy among the ranks of the kingdom's army. When He reached sixteen, Anthony finally realized his abilities and in a tremendous way as well. In the midst of battle, Anthony lost one of his friends to a stray shot from the Kingdom of Frost's army. In a fit of rage, Ulmo took up his friend's sword and charged headlong into the ranks of enemy soldiers. He carved a swath through the soldiers and in his anger, inspired the other soldiers to follow him.

It wasn't until the battle had ended that he had been wreathed in flames, scorching the land and burning the corpses he had passed on his path of destruction. Rumors of the flaming soldier passed through the ranks of the soldiers and eventually reached the homeland where it flew on swift wings to the king's ears. While the stories had been downplayed by Ulmo's friends initially, the Inferno King knew that this child of his far exceeded him or any of his brothers in his power, no doubt from the rigorous training he had received in the army.

The king sent word to the general in charge of Ulmo's battalion and demanded the boy to be sent to the castle where he would be claimed and eventually inherit the throne. Reluctantly, Ulmo went and abandoned his old life as a soldier to become a warrior prince and heir to the kingdom. After only a year, he had settled into the life he had been handed and his new name, Anthony (a much more royal name according to the king). While Anthony settled in, his siblings grew jealous of him. After all, who was this half blood infantryman to usurp their right to the throne? However, all Anthony wanted was to go off somewhere far away from all the attention and praise as a war hero and prince.

So begins...

Israphel is in the midst of a war, a civil conflict that's been raging for years. The Kingdom of Frost in the East and the Kingdom of Flames in the West clash on a scale that would make the very earth crack and crumble on their battlefields. With the fight escalating, both the Queen of Frost and the King of Flame have sent their next of kin away from the battles. The Prince of Flames, Ulmo Anthony Powler, despises the idea as he's not only his father's (bastard) son but his youngest general. However, he has no say in the matter. The opposite, however, was true for the Princess of Frost, Seraphina Celosia. A sheltered girl, Seraphina was more than excited to see the world beyond her castle's walls, albeit quite a bit nervous about the war. Now they both move towards the same safe haven, each with no more than one companion at current, so as to keep suspicion low. Little do they know that as they move towards the Citadel Tower, they are also moving towards their polar opposite, and possibly, their worst enemy.

"This is ridiculous," Ulmo muttered as he pushed his way through the underbrush of the forest. "We should be back there, fighting those icy, bastard children. Instead, here we are, crawling like animals through this forest." Finally, over the tops of the trees, the tower came into sight, it's stone walls interlaced with layers upon layers of vines. It was abandoned, no doubt, but it still gave off an eerie feeling. "Well," He called over his shoulder to his companion. "Let's get on with it. Hopefully we'll be home soon."

Chiara moved silently through the underbrush of the forest, a few paces ahead of her prince, as she had been instructed. it was long, tedious work. Having to constantly check the forest shrubbery for traps, all of her senses constantly alert to the slightest unnatural sound, was exhausting, and it put her in an irritable mood. Especially when Ulmo insisted on repeating something that she was sure was becoming something of a mantra.

"We should be back there, fighting those icy, bastard children. Instead, here we are, crawling like animals through this forest."

Chi grunted softly, pushing a branch out of their path with a strength that it didn't appear that she physically possessed. She agreed with him. She would give anything to be out there with her Father, her sword in hand, cutting down the scum that was the Ice people. Such a cold, heartless race. She scowled at the thought of them and continued the trek, and then they left the hooded protection of the forest.

Atop the hill , they had a good view of the landscape before them. Rolling hills, and a baking hot sun, just the way she liked things. She sighed, exhaling her irritation and looked up gratefully to the wide expanse of sky. She had quickly grown bored of the greenery around them as they traveled through the wooded lands.

Ahead, the tower loomed, both promising and menacing. She'd heard only stories of its previous use, but as far as she and her prince were aware, it would be empty and waiting for them. She glanced at the young man that stood arrogantly beside her and grinned as she wiped a dirty hand across her brow.

She quickly followed Ulmo at his shouted command, taking her place and continuing to check the forest area as they moved through it until they reached the foundations of the tower itself. Once there, something was wrong. Firstly, the most obvious - a horse. A large stallion, that barely glanced at their approach. Chiara was instantly alert.

"Wait...Quiet" She muttered, holding a hand up to emphasize and signal the need for silence. She glanced back at the prince and moved slowly and without any sound across the grassy ground, examining the dirt.

Tracks...Here, they'd come from this direction. It was the horses shod hoof marks in the soft ground. And just ahead...the human that had led the creature. Chiara frowned, but couldn't tell if it was male or female. But as she was just about to give up, and return with her findings back to the Prince, she saw something different. A different set of tracks. Definitely female. Young. perhaps around her own age. She frowned.

This strange female was obviously affluent, if she had her own horse. Chiara looked back at the animal, then froze as she noticed something as it gleamed in the failing sunlight. From her position before, she hadn't been able to see, but now it was clear. Printed into the steel of the stallion's bridle was an emblem, and it was the emblem of the Royal House of Ice. At that realization, Chiara cursed and withdrew back to her prince, drawing Ustrina as she did.

She spoke in a hushed tone. How much noise had they made coming here? "My Prince. They're from the Ice lands. One female and a companion. They arrived maybe...half an hour ago. They don't appear to be heavily armed, but they're in the tower" She paused, glanced up at the structure, then back at the male, knowing she had no right to instruct the royal Prince on how to react to the situation.

"What should we do?"

(sorry guys I went to post after I got home and then the internet went down)

Ulmo sighed. Two ice landers, probably here to try and collect a bounty on the prince. Without a word, he waved his hand forward and crept towards the tower noiselessly. It seemed to be hours, but in actuality, the two had made it to the wall of the tower in a few minutes."Come on." He whispered to Chiara. Confident she was following him, Ulmo walked as silently as possible around the back side of the tower, to the cellar's door. With a tug, the wooden panels swung on their rusty hinges, uttering a small creak as they did. The cellar was dark and dank, reeking of age and wine. It was exactly what Ulmo had believed would be down there, yet it still filled him with a sense of dread. Beneath the shadows, the casks of alcohol and the layer of dust that no doubt coated the floor in a fine powder, something seemed to radiate a power that he could feel. He didn't expect Chiara to feel it. Ulmo was raised on the stories of great kings that could sense, see and even fight greater powers than their own, back when Fire and Ice had been required to work together to survive. But that was very, very long ago. Up until now, Ulmo had taken no stock in those stories, simply brushed them aside. Now, he realized that there could very well be something out there. Perhaps, it was the reason that neither side had approached the Citadel Tower in centuries.
