Dominant Emotion:
Anger
“Everyone in this world is good for nothing.”
Personality:
At a glance, Alice is beautiful, charming, seductive and word-wise. She is, in fact, all of these, but only to strangers or to those whom she wishes to gain something from. Due to her past, she is very untrusting, especially towards men. She isn’t particularly fond of women either. Well, everyone in general. Alice can be snappy, moody, ignorant, coincided, all-knowing and just plain rude. Despite her dislike for the male gender, you can spot her wooing them with her seduction skills and putting her beauty to good use. When Alice is just awoken from her slumber, she is a very scary and malicious person. I suggest using a pole to wake her up; she has been known to bite fingers off. But she is the exact opposite when she hasn’t slept. Alice becomes sweet, innocent and very emotional. Whether tired or awake, Alice has a lack of boundaries. If she is hot, she’ll remove clothing until she is cool again. If someone tells her to stay away, she will proceed to come close and ask why. In a situation where children are involved, Alice can get quite intense and motherly. Around Gabriel, Alice can be seen giggling and playing, but only if you are peeking through a hole in the wall. She acts like he doesn’t exist when in public. All in all, what most people see of this seductress is malice, hate and anger.
“I guess you could say I have them wrapped around my finger.”

Typical Attire: If it is dark, sexy or revealing, you can count on Alice to be wearing it. She doesn't really like overbearingly tight clothing, but will wear it if she has too. On a typical day, you can spot her lounging around in short-shorts and a loose tank top.

Keepsakes: A box cutter she used to murder her ex-boyfriend.

History: Alice was born and raised in Romania, occasionally taking trips to her mothers homeland, Scotland. Her father, Grigore Dimitru was a wealthy company owner and her mother, Blair Dimitru, was a stay at home mother. Their villa was deep in the mountains, surrounded by nature. They moved there after Alice was born. She grew up with the ability to be spoiled, but was always humble. She was loved by all who knew her. Around age 5, she showed signs of being a Shadow Keeper, something that ran in her families blood. Her father was a Shadow Keeper as well, working close with the Council. Alice was always popular at school for her looks and wealth. She made many friends, including a fellow Shadow Keeper, Toma Vasile. They grew up together, always playing together and showing each other tricks they had learned.

ImageAlice also attended private lessons with some of the most well known Shadow Keepers in the world. Her father wanted her to be as strong as possible. Immediately after starting high school, Toma and Alice began a courtship. Little did Alice know that Toma was from a rivaled Shadow Keeper family, sent to weasel his way in and kill them. Around their senior year, Toma had managed to convince little Alice to sleep with him. She had heard many people talking about it at school, so she figured it wasn't that big of a deal and it would deepen their bond. Thus began their more intimate relationship and Alice fell more for the man. She trusted him with her life.

ImageToma saw how pretty and popular Alice was, it made him jealous. They ended up getting in a large argument, the conclusion being not so happy. Toma sexually abused Alice, leaving her hurt and trembling. He came back of course, pleading for her forgiveness. Alice loved him so much, even after what he did, that she had to say yes.

On their graduation day, they planned on meeting later on for dinner and a special end to their night. Alice had gone on to buy a surprise for Toma, not knowing that Toma was on his way to her house with a hoard of assassins. He thought she was at her house, waiting for him to pick her up. Toma's plan was to have his way with her and then kill her. They were both in for a surprise. When Alice arrived, her fist step inside the house, the smell of blood filled her nose, almost causing her to puke. She stammered through finding body after body. Then she reached her own room. Toma had torn through looking for her, only to see her standing in the doorway.

"What's wrong," he laughed, "not what you wanted?"

Alice stared, her heart had been torn to pieces. The man she had loved, trusted and laughed with all these years had taken everyone she loved from her. She placed her face in her hands, feeling a mad grin appear. Alice gazed at him through her fingers, laughing hysterically. Toma had done it. He had added just the right about of pressure to crack her sanity.

Image"How about we play a game? Just like we used too." Alice disappeared, putting her Shadow Manipulation to use. Toma, furious that he had let her get away, began looking all over the mansion for her. He had scanned everywhere. Being a fellow Shadow Keeper, he had started to detect her presence in the bell tower. Toma made his way up and, almost half way up, Alice caught him against a wall. "What's wrong," she repeated his words, "not what you wanted?" Alice had a box cutter in his mouth and without hesitation, she began to tear him to shreds. She didn't stop until he was an unrecognizable mess. Covered in blood, she moved back downstairs and into her father's study where he and her mother lay. Alice had come back to her senses, only to fall on the floor, sobbing. A soft hand caressed her. When she looked up, it was a brilliant man, smiling down at her.

"It's gonna be okay Alice. I'm here for you." The man scooped her up and carried her out to the back gardens. "I'm Gabriel, your demon. I have alerted the Council of your position and they have people on the way now." When the Council men arrived, their first order was to clean up the villa. Then they addressed Alice. She was to join the guild Lone Sin, where she has been for a little more than a year.

Other: ||Alice seems to pull her objects out of nowhere. But she really has a dimensional pocket leading to the Shadow Realm where she stores her weapons.|| ||Alice is referred to by some as a vampire due to her love of blood, night, sleeping along with her speed, agility and powers of seduction.||

Dominant Emotion: Joy
"You can't help but feel good when you smile."
Personality: Gabriel is a party-goer, just like Alice. Except he is more happy than she is. Since he is technically an extension of Alice, her lack of knowledge on boundaries makes him have a lack of know how. He can usually be found cuddling with Alice or somewhere in Alice's vicinity. If he isn't, he becomes a rather dramatic man, saying he will die without her. Gabriel is extremely flirtatious by nature, being somewhat of a playboy. But having a rather child-like innocent mind set gives him the excuse of 'just being a friendly guy'. Gabriel honestly believes that everyone likes him and is his friend, completely oblivious to even the most obvious attempts to get rid of him. He is also a master of words, able to twist things and avoid questions with such skill that people forget what is even happening. Along with the flirting, Gabriel likes to go out to clubs and dance, basically anything that is a good time.

"Every new beginning ends."

"God dammit, Gabriel! The others are probably going to leave without us!" Alice dashed around the corner, thankful she picked sneakers instead of heels. Sure she could run in them, but sneakers were much faster. She dodged left and right to avoid running into strangers.

"It's not my fault! You decided to the guys house, not me!"

"You were supposed to tell me the time!" Alice shook her head at the shadow whizzing past people beside her. In all reality, it was her fault, but Alice wasn't going to admit it. She paused, seeing a building with the word 'Harrogate' on the side, so she slowed her pace. Then the station came into view and Alice stopped. Gabriel manifested next to her in his human form, immediately clinging on to the panting girl next to him. Alice tried to shake him off, but he hung on with no intention of letting go. "Gabriel, cool it with the lovey-dovey act. It's right there and I'm late as it is."

"But you have to catch your breath so they don't know you were running." He made a fair point. The two moved to the railing that blocked of a park and sat down. "See, Ami is late too. I just saw her go in." Alice rolled her eyes and leaned back against the rails behind her. Cathal was lucky he was the Guild Master, otherwise she would have had no problem being late. She didn't care much at all about the insignificant mission coming up. Any one of the Guild Members could have done the mission all their own. Gabriel had referred to it as a bonding exercise for the Guild. Alice pulled the ponytail holder out of her hair, letting the lavender locks fall down. Despite how much she had been running, she still smelled like a field of violets with the smell of cologne still lingering on her skin. Gabriel had already grabbed her hair and made it into a loose side braid while Alice touched up her mascara.

After a few minutes, Alice and Gabriel stood and sauntered over to the station. They found the group of Keepers' and Demon's with ease and she moved shamelessly over, standing behind Ami so she was clearly visible. She wrapped her arms around the small girl, resting her chin on the top of Ami's head.

"So when are we leaving," Alice questioned, not addressing her tardiness at all.

"Says the one who just arrived," Gabriel said as he stacked his head on top of Alice's, wrapping his arms around her. He eyed the stranger in the group, assuming he was a new member. "Hey there, noob. I'm Gabriel and this plum head is Alice." Gabriel moved and nodded to the other men in the group. "And ladies, you're all looking beautiful tonight. I'm so glad to be in a group with so many privileged and capable young women." Alice rolled her eyes at her demon, sighing to match.

"Just try."

The first to arrive was a new face to the guild, Fintan Kearney and his demon Vergil.

Hey, Master Cathal, nice to see you and Yukine again. I hope we aren’t late.

Not at all, Fintan. You are right on time.” Yukine looked at the two that had arrived, nodding as a greeting. Soon, Kenji and Lucca arrived as well, greeting Fintan with warmth. Things seemed to be going well so far. The only ones they were waiting on now were the girls. “I suppose I should just do a safety brief before we head to the airport.” Cathal pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and handed it to Fintan. He figured he knew what was going on, but the paper held a more detailed description of what exactly was going to happen. “Excessive amount of hell hounds are loose in Jersey Devil territory. The Council wants us to take care of this little problem. I know you guys think this is stupid and that they should send a lesser guild. But we need to make sure to perfect our ability to work as a team. That’s why we are taking on a lesser task. Group one, Fintan and I, will be taking on the Northern section of the Pine Barrens. Group two, Lucca and Ambrosia, will take the Southern portion and group three, Kenji and Alice, will handle the middle section. If you have a problem with your pairing, please let me know now.

As soon as Cathal finished his speech, Ami and her demon emerged, greeting their guild mates missing the emotion Cathal still wasn’t used too. At this point, Yukine started to hide behind Cathal. Sure Lucca’s demon was a woman, but it was just one. Now there were two more. Cathal didn’t move or even recognize his demon’s timid nature.

Ambrosia, you are paired with Lucca. You will be tackling the Southern parts of the Pine Barrens.” Cathal turned back to the rest of the group. “Once Alice arrives, we can make our way to the airport. Here are your tickets and I assume you all have your passports on you. How you get to the airport, I don’t care, but I would love for us all to be on the same plane.” It was about then that Alice strolled up, inquiring about what time they were leaving. She was the one student he didn’t formally address. She was just not someone he felt he would like very well. He didn’t mind everyone else, but she just dirtied herself with the darkness that was human temptations. And she was only nineteen. “Alright, be at the airport in 30 minutes, the plane leaves in an hour.

_Lucca nodded his acknowledgement when he was given his partner. He liked Ami, she was nice, a bit out there, but nice. Lucca had smiled when Kenji approached and gave a slight wave. The older guy, being the way he was, leaned on Lucca like he was a foot shorter though it was only a few inches difference. Lucca leaned away slightly, making an odd face that elicited a smile from Jacob.

Lucca gave a small wave to Alice, not as psyched to see her as everyone else. She was just too... much, for him. Kenji on the other hand, winked at Alice. He didn't really like Alice that way, well maybe he did, he wasn't really sure, but he had done it because he was trying to hide his uncertainty. He knew it was working, that was a talent of his. He saw Alice the way he saw himself, thinking she was like him in the way she must be hiding something, pushing her real feelings down by displaying a more cruel version. Perhaps that was why Kenji looked at her in a different light than most girls, she reminded him of Jacob on his bad days, that only Kenji saw, and Jacob was a part of Kenji however much he wanted to deny it sometimes.

"We're working together by the way," Kenji stated, his flirting the moment before now replaced with a face that looked like he couldn't care less.

Lucca looked over at Kenji, asking, "Hey, you brought a car, right?" Kenji had walked in, not ridden a train in like Lucca and Casey. "Yeah, I brought a car. It could probably fit all of us if it needed to. I can just fly if we need more room. Besides, if we get pulled over, I don't have a legit licence here... so, maybe you should drive Lucca," Kenji said, nodding his head as if deep in thought.

Lucca didn't meet Kenji's eyes as he muttered something quietly under his breath. "What?" Kenji asked, leaning in to hear what Lucca said. "He said he doesn't have his licence either," Casey said helpfully with a slight roll of the eyes. Kenji smiled as he straightened up again. "Nice, thanks for telling him," Lucca muttered with a jovial smile on his face. Casey shrugged, her motion saying no problem for her.

"It's cool man, I'll drive. People will just have to sit in other people's laps if I take more than four people not including me," Kenji stated as he hefted his bag higher on his shoulder. "Those who don't want to fly and or do whatever it is you do, come with me," Kenji stated as he waved people on to follow him should they want to.

"Yo, new guy, I got a seat in my car if you want it. It's a short ride to the airport, it'll be a tight fit, but it's possible," Kenji called over his shoulder as he took up reached for the sunglasses that hung at his throat on his tshirt. He slipped them on as he walked outside though England wasn't that sunny that day. Image

Image
Image

Jacob stayed behind to look at the new kid. "Come on, we don't bite. Except Kenji when he's really hungry. I'll shift so you can have the front seat if you want," Jacob offered as he turned to walk quickly to catch up to his fast walking keeper.

On the way out of the door, Jacob ruffled Lucca's hair, stating, "It's cool, Kenji just knows how to drive because he did something illegal a while back, can't be helped." He said it as if it was something that happened every day, Kenji breaking the law, which could very well be the case when it came to Kenji.

He led the way out to his car, summoning a strong, tiny wind into the key hole of the trunk, popping it without difficulty. He tossed his bag back in, thinking they'd have gotten on another train or something. Why had he even left the States again? Kenji walked to the front of the car, manipulating the wind once more to unlock his car door, then unlock the car for everyone else a second later. He climbed in, closing the door and starting the car. Lucca got in the seat behind Kenji, allowing Casey to climb into his lap. The two were best friends, nothing more, yet some keepers found it odd that Lucca was so close to his demon.

"Okay, roll call, better yet, who's in my car?"Kenji asked, raising his voice only slightly and only giving a slight glance back. "Jacob," Jacob stated from where he sat in Casey's lap despite Lucca's complaints. "Lucca's here, with your demon crushing him," Lucca managed. "By the way Jacob, you're crushing me," Lucca managed as he tried to shove Jacob off only to find there was no room to do anything.

"I'm here, Casey, that is," Casey stated simply, hugging Jacob from behind. For whatever reason, Jacob and Casey were like siblings in the way they treated each other, possibly because Lucca and Kenji were so close to each other on such occasions.

Kenji listened to the other names, smiled, then put the car in gear. "Off we go. Jacob, if you braid my hair like you did last time, you're walking to Jersey," Kenji stated upon feeling a tug on a lock of his hair. "So, what's going on in people's lives since our last encounter?" Kenji asked, glancing in the rear view mirror as he drove. He leaned against his door, the window down a little.

Kenji wondered briefly about Alice again. What was he thinking, he needed to get the girl out of his head, lest he get her and himself killed. He pushed the thought of her away. He wasn't going to flirt with her, or pretend to flirt with her, again, for a long time, until he felt he could control himself. He knew she had something against guys, and though he didn't want to hurt her in a way that was really going to hurt her for real, but he didn't want to accidentally be the cause of her receiving physical pain either. Worse, what if she broke him and left nothing left of his already heavy-... he was thinking way too deeply as well as way too melodramatically. Breathing deeply, he pressed the gas, keeping an eye out for any police in case they decided to get him for speeding. He'd just screw with their radar guns by slowing the appearance of the car's speed, or just have it take off and have Lucca conceal it in shadows, whatever. Speeding made Kenji feel loose, like nothing could touch him, or hurt him, anywhere or any way.

He listened and didn't listen as people talked. Lucca filled in the gaps in noise, working with Jacob as a tag team.

"Every new beginning ends."

"We're working together by the way," Alice's guild mate Kenji stated. The Keeper turned to look at the Guild Master, who seemed to be completely ignoring her. The small girl she had been leaning on moved out from under her, handing Alice her ticket. Alice smiled down, rustling the Wind Mage's hair.

"Thanks Ami." Alice waved to Kenji and Lucca in a sort of passive manner. "Why in the hell do we need to work in teams?" Gabriel slithered up to Alice's side and grabbed her hand. She simply looked away in fake distaste. When Kenji offered to give them a ride, Alice shook her head, knowing Ami would do the same. How the Master intended on getting there was a mystery. "I'll fly, thanks."

"How about a race? I'll race Sam, and you can race Ami." Alice nodded at her demons suggestion. She received nods of conformation from Ami and Sammie, making it official. "Guess we will see guys at the airport. Try not to keep us waiting," Gabriel said jokingly. The four made it out to the park where Ami had made her landing and Alice had taken a short break. With all wings extended, they stood off for a few minutes. They were really admiring each others wings. Ami's were real wings and Alice's were simply Shadows, but it was all still worth admiring. Ami's were pure white, giving her an angelic look. Sammie's were the same as her Master's but a little smaller with a light pink tint to them. Alice's were large and
black with a slight shimmer. Gabriel's were black with a blue tint when the light hit them just right.

"Ready ... Set ... Go!"

"It's nice to see someone smile."

Ami took off with amazing force, leaving the others in her dust. Her glory seemed temporary, Alice managed to catch up easily, but her struggle was obvious. Ami turned to see the demons flying at a leisurely and steady pace behind them. They were getting smaller and smaller as Ami and Alice pumped their wings, Ami assumed it was really between Alice and herself. She also predicted that the two would somehow arrive at the airport before their Masters, being demons it was a positive.

"Come on Alice, where is your fighting spirit?" Ami heard a bunch of shouting, but the wind passing by was drowning out most of when Alice was trying to say. Ami cracked a small smile, knowing that she wasn't even flying her fastest. But she didn't want to beat Alice too bad. Seeing her guild mate put in so much effort made her happy. Ami continued to look ahead, spotting a group of geese flying in a path that would intersect with theirs. The young Keeper slowed down to be at pace with Alice, only to point ahead and lower herself. Alice went up, narrowly avoiding the group of animals.

They had been flying high speed for a bit before they spotted the airport. Alice and Ami looked at each other, speeding up to finish the race. Just as Ami had thought, Gabriel and Sammie were on the roof, waiting for them. The Wind Mage was the first to land, doing so delicately. Alice on the other hand bulldozed right into Gabriel, almost falling off the roof in the process.

"Now we need to go to the terminal." The group nodded to one another. Alice and Gabriel morphed into the shadows while Ami and Sammie took the normal way, seeing as they couldn't morph through anything.

"Hey, I'm Finny and this is Vergil," he declared, holding up the bird for them to see, "Nice to finally meet you guys." Kenji gave a slight wave, barely lifting his hand off of the wheel. As he sped, he spoke calmly, "Hey Fin, I'm Kenji, the blonde's Casey, the dude falling off of Casey's lap is Jacob, and the boy who was just getting crushed is Lucca. You know who's keeper and demon probably," Kenji spoke as he pulled into the airport's car rental place. He stepped out, calling for everyone else to as well. Jacob, who was in a rather strange position after falling off of Casey's lap, climbs out and nearly falls on his knees.

Kenji popped the trunk, grabbing his and other people's stuff with the winds before setting them down and closing the trunk with his hand. "Lady and gentleman, we have arrived," Kenji stated as he tossed the keys of the rental car to some employee who was approaching him for just that. After a few words were exchanged, Kenji grabbed his bags, tossing Lucca his, then moved to the terminal.

"So, you and Vergil, what genre of magic do you have?" Lucca asked as he walked next to Kenji, who had his hands in his pocket and was looking both ways before crossing a rather busy street. "Mainly, that is," Lucca stated simply as an afterthought.

"Crap, Lucca, looks like we're running behind, think you can go ahead to keep our seats?" Kenji asked upon checking his watch. They were just about to have to go through security. Kenji considered their options. Lucca could get through easily with the shadows, and Casey, Virgil, and Jacob could just walk through, leaving Kenji and Fin. Kenji knew Lucca well enough to know he couldn't change Kenji into shadows without shadows. He passed his stuff to Lucca who nodded, giving Fin a quick nod and smile before melting into shadows, racing to the corner of the room and flying quickly towards the terminal.

"Every man for himself when it comes to security man," Kenji said as he began his wait through a line for flights that would leave soon. Image

Kenji hadn't slept a wink on the plane. He had kept his sunglasses on and looked out the window the entire time. Jacob, not wanting to really hang out anymore, and exhausted, shifted to rest in Kenji's cup of water, not moving or communicating in any way, looking like a strange, unmelting piece of ice. The kid behind Kenji kicked his seat again and Kenji nearly said something, but found he didn't really care a moment before he turned. Lucca sat in the row in front of him next to Ami.

Kenji had glanced at Alice once during their flight. "Hey, Alice... I..." Kenji realized he was about to say something stupid. "Do you have a mirror? Getting off the plane I need to look my best," Kenji asked, trying to sound as not stupid as possible while also keeping up his usual facade. At least he thought he had covered up his main concern. He really didn't care all too much about appearing self centered, it helped him feel better.

Kenji stepped out of the rental car. He liked flying more, but in Jersey, there wasn't enough things going on in the sky to keep people's attention off of him. A random passerby may look up and see him.

Kenji sped along again, at least he could get away with something more common and on the ground. "Alice, how are we going to contact Cathal when we need to?" Kenji asked as he pulled up in the direction of the middle part of the pine barrens. He parked, looking out at the woods beyond. He reached under the seat of the backseat, pulling out a bag of knives of various sizes.

"You can borrow one if you want," Kenji stated without looking up, being friendly in the way he offered it. He didn't let his slip show that he hadn't done it on purpose, not wanting Alice to think something of him.

Lucca emerged from the shadows, appearing as if he stepped out of a tree. He looked around for Ami, calling her name a little softly. He looked over at Casey as she approached. He had left his bag in the car Lucca's family owned and had sent for them. Lucca wondered briefly whether or not he was smart to trust Kenji didn't bring any weapons whatsoever to Britain. He had carried knives on a plane for the guy, and the guy had even snuck knives onto his own flight to England.

Lost in his thoughts, he didn't really think about the woods around him. He looked around, half interested as he looked around for Ami, Casey sitting in the branches of a nearby tree.

"Every new beginning ends."

"Hey, Alice... I..." There was a pause. Alice looked at Kenji from the side of her eye, not wanting to put too much effort into paying attention. "Do you have a mirror? Getting off the plane I need to look my best," Kenji asked. Of course she had a mirror. Alice reached in front of her, her hand disappearing momentarily before she pulled it out with a compact mirror resting in her hand. Dimensional pockets were so handy. It was the main reason Alice never had luggage. All of her possessions were stored in the Shadow Realm.

Here you go,” she said, offering him the mirror. Well, more so she tossed it into his lap. “I have plenty, so you can keep that one.

Alice looked out the window of the car most of the time she was in it. It was just beginning to get dark, perfect time for the shadows to stretch and dance. "Alice, how are we going to contact Cathal when we need to?" Kenji asked as he pulled up in the direction of the middle part of the pine barrens. He parked, looking out at the woods beyond.

I can send a messenger for him. They would get to him in a minute at the most.” While Kenji reached into the backseat, Alice exited the car while reaching into her own dimensional pocket. She pulled out a black utility belt that held some of her simpler supplies. Onto her leg, she strapped her knife holster, sticking a few of her favorite knives in it.

"You can borrow one if you want," Kenji stated without looking up. Alice sent her signature smile over to him, leaning against the car. She simply shook her head and motioned to her belts. Gabriel finally manifested next to her and made his way to stand directly in front of her. While he placed his hands on her hips and rest his forehead against hers, she looked beyond him and into the forest, seemingly unfazed by her demon’s closeness.

How’s it looking out there Gabriel,” Alice inquired with a careless tone.

You guys are in for a party.

Alice smiled wickedly, rather excited for the oncoming slaughter. Simply put, the Hell Hound’s had messed up. If she was lucky, maybe she could get a few Jersey Devils while she was at it. Nothing too hard. In a matter of seconds, Alice was leaning on Kenji’s window smiling the same way she always did around a guy.

Wanna fly pretty boy? Finding them will be easier that way.” Alice moved back from the car door, hand on hip and eyes on the forest. Alright, Hell Hounds. They can’t get us from the air so we will have an advantage. And once I have to start traveling by foot, Kenji can just notify me as to when they are coming. Either head or heart. I don’t have a sword, so their heart is my best bet. And with my Shadow Fire, I bet I could even make their hearts explode. Alice began laughing to herself. The Keeper was never too worried about getting her knives back, the clean-up crew had made it a habit of ever-so-graciously sending back her items.

You still smell like him,” Gabriel pouted. Alice sniffed herself a few times, dismissing Gabriel’s child-like behavior.

Whatever, let’s just go,

Image“How’s it looking out there Gabriel,” Kenji hear Alice ask Gabriel. He looked up but looked right back down. What was it with her and her demon? Gabriel was so different yet the two acted like they were lovers. “You guys are in for a party.” Great, not just one or two or three, that meant multiple. Kenji muttered something that might have sounded a lot like lupid sassbowls. He sheathed two daggers in his ankles holster, a short sword behind his back, a few knives in various sheaths, and some throwing knives across his chest.

When Alice was leaning against Kenji's window, he smiled up at her, as if he was used to such treatment. “Wanna fly pretty boy? Finding them will be easier that way.” Alice moved back from the car door, hand on hip and eyes on the forest. Kenji opened his door, not bothering to lock the doors since they were in a pretty remote spot. "See you in a bit Lili," Kenji states with a wink as he stretches his arms above his head, then takes off.

Kenji rocketed skyward, flying in a way that wasn't like most people who flew, normally that is. He searched the ground, looking for one of the other members of his guild or a hellhound. He caught a sharp, deep black amid a sea of green. He pauses, freezing in place and not moving any extra distance at all. He looks down, slowly floating down as he looks at the shape of black, his eyes growing sharper and sharper in sight.

He smiles slightly, drawing a sword and studying the edge for a moment before he looks back down. Kenji looked down, drawing the smells of the forest close to him as he searched for Alice's direct location. It takes a minute or so, but he finds it, sending a gentle wind to show Alice the way to the hellhound from where she was. He dives down, knowing he'll intercept her before she reaches the clearing with the hellhound. From up high, he couldn't see the unusual largeness of the creature.

Kenji listens, trying to pick up the sounds of Alice's approach. He catches her movement on the wind and nods his approval as he moves forward, drawing another blade for his other hand. As he moves forward, he hears the snarling grow louder and louder. He doesn't speak as he walks forward, crouching down in preparation. Jacob still hadn't shown his face recently, Kenji feared he was off, resting or changing or doing something he knew Kenji wouldn't like to screw with him.

Kenji pushed the thoughts out of his mind as he moved forward more. He had nearly missed the pouncing hellhound as it flew at him from the side, not thinking there was more than one nearby. Kenji just barely holds the teeth back from biting his neck with his swords, falling hard on his back. He was pinned except for his arms. Kenji hardly thinks as he angles the crossed blades to slice the neck of the creature, heaving the dead weight off of his body. He breathed deeply, calming himself as he looked down at the decapitated hellhound. It was larger than most. Kenji briefly wondered what kind of hellhound they were fighting as he stared down at the creature. "What the heck?" He whispers to himself as he crouches by the creature, studying it's size. From it's mouth to it's tail, it was probably the size of Kenji.

He looks up, hearing more snarling from the clearing and moving on, ignoring the blood that coated the front of his shirt and his cheek as well as his neck. He hated the wet feeling of the blood on his body, but pushed the thoughts down. He couldn't let that touch him when he was in such a situation, it could be what kills him, like that last hellhound with his thoughts on Jacob. Kenji puts all of his personal thoughts and feelings away, focusing on the task that was at hand, hellhounds terrorizing creatures of his world, human, fae, or keeper.

Kenji entered the clearing, catching sight of another hellhound. He frowns as he stares at the creature from across the clearing. Two more appear on either side of the creature causing Kenji to adjust his grip on his knives. There was more than four than, that is, if everyone else had at least one hellhound as well. His heart raced as the hellhound on the right charged forward, the one on the left following the other's lead. The first once pounced but Kenji rolled, throwing a knife and hitting his target, the beast's stomach. It fell, but instead of staying down, it heaved itself up. "No... that's not possible." Kenji whispered, amazed. His aim at the stomach had always resulted in a kill. What was it with these giant hellhounds? What were they really?

The other hellhound was almost on Kenji, causing the boy to shoot for the sky, but not fast enough. His leg was snagged by the creature's claws, dragging him down with an cry of pain from the boy. He was slammed on the ground by the hellhound. The hellhound extracted it's claws, causing Kenji to cry out again. He rolled to the side, slamming another knife in the other creatures side. He looked down at his leg and nearly got sick, the skin shredded. He hoped it wouldn't do too much damage, or that someone could fix him up soon.

Kenji saw the three hellhounds approaching him again, breathing deeply. He tried to calm down but found himself unable to focus with his leg before him. He pushed against the air, flying back to get further from the creatures. He landed in the grass again, hard. He drew another knife, having lost his other two in the fray. He had three more throwing knives against three hellhounds that were extremely difficult to kill so far. The first one had died from decapitation, and luck. How could he possibly get the same results now?

Kenji manages to stand, balancing himself with the wind. One beast charged and Kenji was ready for the most part, he jumped, pushing himself with the wind and spinning over the creature before flying over it's back, throwing the knife where the heart would be, pushing down with the wind as hard as possible. He then had the least graceful landing he'd ever had, on his butt. He looks behind him, wondering whether or not Alice was close. "Alice, Alice I need you," Kenji shouted, pushing back again with the wind. The one hellhound looked like the two knives in it were hurting, but showed no signs of stopping it's approach. Kenji thought about what he should do. He couldn't use his special ability with Alice so close, he could hurt her. He didn't even know how many other hellhounds were around, he hoped this was it, that the others had the other hellhounds, yet he wasn't entirely sure. He felt disoriented from getting slammed around so much, and his leg was throbbing viciously though the pain wasn't as sharp as it would be later because of the adrenaline. Though it wasn't his main focus, he knew it would be killer later on and was not looking forward to it.

"Every new beginning ends."

"See you in a bit Lili," Kenji stated with a wink, stretching his arms above his head and taking off. She watched him momentarily before using Night Wing, her wings taking shape as the shadows formed onto her back. It only took a bit, she then took off herself. She felt the slight gust Kenji sent, following it slowly as she sensed the Hounds presence getting closer. Alice could spot Kenji dive down into the clearing, sword drawn and ready for action.

Bam!

Alice gasped for air, looking down to see she had intersected paths with a Hound obviously going for Kenji. Its head had slammed into her side, most likely leaving a bruise. Instantly, Alice pulled two knifes from her holster, decapitating the Hound before it could do anything else. A tree greeted her back with another thud causing her wings to disperse. She hit the ground, scrambling to get to her feet. The world whirled for a bit, settling after she felt Gabriel’s strong hands on her shoulders. The sound of flesh ripping, yipping and shouts filled the air. It was coming from the clearing.

"Alice, Alice I need you," Kenji yelled. Gabriel gave Alice a look, stating he was going to help Kenji out with his wounds. Wounds? Had Kenji actually gotten hurt? Alice looked at the decapitated Hound lying next to her. The thing was massive. She stumbled towards the rest of the commotion. Gabriel had went over to Kenji, hovering over him on his hands and knees to block the oncoming assault of the Hell Hounds. Since Gabriel was a healing demon, he concentrated on Kenji’s leg. One Hound slashed at Gabriel’s back, leaving large marks across his back. The gouges oozed a black mist, causing Gabriel to look pale.

Alice!” Gabriel yelled. Alice’s eyes got wide, seeing not only her Guild Mate in danger, but her Demon as well. She retracted her hand, slamming back against the tree. A black mist surrounded her, all shadows rippling and rushing to her side. They swirled around her and piled on top of each other to encase her in a large shadow body. Alice’s eyes glowed a strange black color and a deep rumbling growl could be heard for quite a distance. “Shit … She snapped.” Gabriel looked up to his Master, then back down to Kenji. He would heal Kenji, then take care of Alice.

As Alice moved, so did the Shadow Puppet surrounding her. It was at least three stories tall with shadows still piling on. Boom … Boom … Boom, her steps echoed through the woods. Hound after Hound jumped at her, only to be torn in half. Alice’s maniacal laugh echoed loudly as she tore through any Hounds she got her hands on.

Gabriel panted as he finished doing what he could to heal Kenji.

The Hounds should stay off until I subdue her. I’m counting on you to cover our asses.” Gabriel melted away into the shadows, ultimately joining the others. He had willpower however, so it was easy to make his way to the center. “I’m sorry Alice,” Gabriel muttered, shoving his hand through her chest. Alice screeched, but it game out as a deep roar. The Demon had used Shadow Fire to paralyze Alice, rendering her practically useless and ending the spell. The shadows disappeared faster than they came. Gabriel held onto Alice as they fell to the ground. He could sense that the Hounds were rounding, coming back for more now that the threat was gone. Why were there so many? Gabriel laid Alice safely under himself, standing over her.

Within seconds, the Demon became unrecognizable. He had morphed into a Shadow Creature to be of some use in fending off the Hounds. He snarled and roared at any Hell Hound that neared the Keepers, putting on more of a show than anything.

Kenji was trying hard not to call out again as Gabriel worked on his leg, sure it was a relief to get it fixed, but it hurt like hell no matter Gabriel did until it was no longer a bloody mass of shredded flesh. Kenji's eyes were closed, his head pressed against a tree he had leaned against. He heard the cry and sound of tearing skin distantly, feeling extremely groggy and slow, the pain and blood loss affecting him, looking up to see Gabriel hurt.

"Alice, don't," He tried to call, failing to call it out and only resulting with a faint whisper, or mumble, he wasn't quite sure. He knew she would freak at seeing Gabriel hurt, sure he was someone she looked after, but that was just because they were guild mates he figured. He wished it were more, but now wasn't the time to be thinking that. Kenji felt his skin finally knit closed for the most part, his vision became less blurry and his head cleared. He was drained from so little, and there were so many hellhounds left, they were running out of options, and time, fast. Kenji heard Gabriel mutter his fear and groaned in frustration at the situation.

Kenji watched Alice anxiously, hoping Gabriel would just speed up. Alice was using her special power, to the limit. Kenji watched, his mouth tight in his anxiety. Alice wasn't being Alice right now, she was a deadly force to be reckoned with. "You know me well enough to know you don't have to worry," Kenji managed as he stood, following Gabriel without hesitation. He drew his knives, being weary of Alice's power, but preparing to hold of hellhounds, praying silently that Gabriel could subdue Alice in this form.

There was a terrible roar that Kenji just knew was Alice, then the shadow monster was gone. While Gabriel morphed, Kenji ran to Alice, looking her over. He looked up and around. There were at least a hundred, possibly hundreds hounds from where Kenji was sitting. He silently prayed yet again, asking that none of the other guild members were nearby. He hadn't prayed this much ever, two prayers in the two minutes. Two of the three he'd ever done.

"Gabriel, get out of here. Get out of here now! There's going to be a lot of debris here in a few seconds. Warn the others to take cover just in case something goes wrong," Kenji called to him, knowing he'd understand once he thought it through and saw Kenji start.

Kenji breathed deeply, cradling Alice in his arms before he held her to him tightly, closing his eyes as he stood, staying off of his still weak leg as much as possible. He focused, pulling the winds around them. A hellhound charged at them but Kenji only heard a yelp before the creature was thrown to the opposite side of the clearing. He looked up for a moment, only liking this part of the destruction. The clouds were getting pulled in, the sky turning from it's bright blue to a dark, grey green color, swirling crazily.

The winds picked up around Kenji and Alice. Kenji held Alice to him tightly, not wanting her to fall. He floated higher and higher, not being able to help it as he became the eye. The eye of a tornado that continued to grow stronger and stronger. There was screeches and yelps and growls and howls surrounding Kenji as he held Alice tightly to him, covering her as much as he could with his body, knowing the debris was coming.

There was a ripping sound and Kenji felt a large chunk of wood slam into his arms encircled around Alice, he grunted but didn't do anything else. "It's going to be okay. I got you, I won't let anything hurt you. It's going to be okay. I got you, I won't let anything hurt you," Kenji whispered fiercely to Alice over and over again. He wondered how many times he said it. His hair was whipping faster than it ever had before along with Alice's. Kenji held her tightly, feeling another piece of debris hit his face this time. Kenji tried to protect Alice's head the most in the tornado.

He pictured it in his head, a grey or brown mass, huge in it's size and appearing like hell was reaching out of the ground. Kenji could feel the wind tugging at his clothing, whipping around him and Alice. He breathed deeply, keeping his focus on destroying the hellhounds. He tried to centralize the pulling of the winds. He could hardly pick out the scents he was trying to pull in, the ruined forest pieces' scents mixing and causing confusion in his senses. He extended the tornado, then pulled back nearly as soon as he had pushed it out, fearing that he'd destroyed the forest if he didn't.

Kenji feared for a moment he wouldn't be able to control the monstrosity he had created to try to destroy the hellhounds. "Alice, I promise I'll keep you safe. I care too much for you to let anyone or anything hurt you ever. I promise you're safe," Kenji whispered, figuring she wouldn't hear him over the winds. The winds were probably going at around two hundred fifteen miles per hour now, Kenji didn't dare open his eyes since his face was exposed and he didn't want debris in his eyes. He hoped Alice was alright.

All these thoughts, all of his power, conducted and done within two minutes. Kenji had never used his ability in this way. The wind slowly faded, he began to sink as the tornado lifted from the ground. He was probably two hundred feet off the ground, the tornado not surrounding him anymore. He was exposed, anyone could see him if they didn't have something obstructing their vision of him.

With that, he fell. Kenji's energy was gone. His eyes fluttered and he was unconsciousness, but right before he was killed by crashing into the hard packed earth, Kenji managed one last gust of wind, cushioning it enough to not kill him, but still hurt. However, he was already unconscious in that three feet off the ground he had summoned his last bit of power to not kill himself or Alice.

Lucca had grabbed Ami upon seeing the tornado get so large and strong. It wasn't moving, but the wind pulled at their clothing. He formed a shield of shadows as it began, knowing Kenji might not have full control over the impossibly strong wind. He held Ami there, wondering what was going on outside of their shields of shadows with the hellhounds and the other guild members. The howling wind surprised Lucca under the shadows.

It was rather suddenly that it stopped. He waited a moment longer before releasing the shadows, looking up and around, standing. The hellhounds were gone, the trees around them gone. Debris all around them. There were leaves, wood chips, and the disaster only a tornado could produce surrounding them. "Oh, my God... Kenji just destroyed all of this," Lucca whispered, awed at the destruction that was caused. He looked around, not seeing Kenji or Alice anywhere nearby. He realized there were trees nearby.

They were in a circle about a hundred feet wide, the entire area around them destroyed, yet everything outside untouched, the tree line beginning right outside of the circle as if nothing had touched the area. Kenji had focused his tornadoes where he knew the others were surrounded by hellhounds... He'd destroyed the hellhounds. "We have to find them now," Lucca managed as he looked over at Ami. Lucca caught sight of a small dot in the distance falling rapidly and nodded in the direction, thinking that was where they needed to go.

"It's nice to see someone smile."

What all happened next was to quick for Ami to really keep up with. The initial shock of not hearing the Hell Hound's approach froze her, and when she saw Lucca aiming for her, she knew better than to jerk around. The bullets effected it slightly but not enough to bring it down. Ami whipped around to face the beast when it split in half, spraying blood all over her.

It was then she saw the other Hounds making their way towards her. The small girl stood in a defensive position and summoned her Sonic Blades. One of the large beasts jumped at her and earned a clean head off its shoulders. The others didn't learn from the examples given, so she swiftly removed theirs as well. A loud roar echoed through the woods, leaving Ami clenching her ears in pain. After the pain subsided, Ami could feel a strong wind spell being cast nearby and it was growing. She looked into the direction of the brewing storm. It was obvious that this wasn't as easy as they had thought.

A tornado stirred wildly in the middle of the commotion. Lucca hadn't given Ami time to react before pulling her down with him. It grew dimmer, a shield of shadows seemed to be protecting them from the wild winds. Ami did what she could to create a high speed wind barrier outside of the shadow shield for extra protection.

As suddenly as it had began, it ceased, leaving the young girl to simply ponder what was beyond the barriers. Ami instantly stopped her own barrier but Lucca waited a little before letting his down. Understandable. Once the shadows dispersed, all that surrounded them was debris. What exactly was this to do? Ami started to question Master Cathal's leadership skills. It was obvious that the only other Wind Mage had done this. The Council would not be happy.

Ami heard Lucca mutter something, and upon closer inspection, she understood what he meant. There were trees still standing beyond them, unharmed by the mass winds. All that remained of the Hounds were bloodied corpses strung everywhere.

"We have to find them now," Lucca said, earning a nod from Ami. She followed his distracted gaze to spot what he saw. She nodded once more, quickly unfurling her wings and taking off in the direction. The dot soon disappeared, causing Ami great concern. It seemed like hours before she reached them, even when she was flying her fastest.

When she arrived, the scene was more gruesome than what she had discovered minutes before. There were tons of Hounds strewn across the now open field. And in the center laid Alice and Kenji, both seemingly unconscious. Had Kenji really done that? Such an odd and erratic attack existed? Ami tried to lift Alice to no avail, leading her to confirm she was definitely not going to be able to lift Kenji.

"Gabriel has alerted Cathal. Him and the new member are alright. They are on their way." Sammie notified her Keeper, appearing out of nowhere and making her way to the unconscious duo. Ami did the same, checking for pulses and any severe injuries. Kenji seemed to have the worst of it, with gashes and bruises covering a lot of his body. Alice however only had a few minor scratches and a large blue-purple bruise on her side. Ami used a platform to lift the two off the ground for better inspection.

"Just try."

Cathal smirked at his students quick progress. He need only a stern look and some harsh words to get him going. But he didn't have long too celebrate his victory. It wasn't the rippling shadows that had notified Cathal of the situation, but the massive evil aura he felt.

"If they are resorting to their forbidden powers this early, then either something went really wrong or they aren't as smart as I gave them credit for." Cathal stepped forward, feeling the strong presence disappear only for another to pick up along with the wind. A snarling behind him disappeared as the howling of the wind grew stronger. The Guild Master turned to face it, but it was met with a falling tree before his own sword. Cathal jumped back, exploding the head for extra measure. The wind grew stronger and stronger, giving Cathal the feeling that he would fly away any second.

"It must be the others! They must be in trouble!" Cathal shook his head at the young man, beginning to protest until he was interrupted. "Never mind anymore, we have to find cover!" Putting up an Ice Shield wouldn't be hard, but he would have to get to Fintan before he could consider doing that. It was then that Cathal noticed another tree falling, but this time it was going for Fintan. The Guild Master sunk down and pushed off as hard as he could, whispering an apology to Yukine. He sliced the tree in half, tackling Fintan to the ground and quickly put up a thick ice shield. He seemed to do it just in time as the outside winds sped immensely, tearing everything to shreds. Yukine transformed back to his normal self, holding his head in pain.

"What the hell Cathal! You didn't even give me time to prepare!" Cathal glared deeply at his demon counterpart, Yukine mumbling angrily in response.

Within a few minutes, the outside world settled but Cathal hesitated to leave his shell. What sight met his eyes was exactly what he had expected. The area surrounding them was torn to shreds while just beyond a boundary, the trees remained untouched. Gabriel, Alice's demon, arrived but Cathal already knew what he was going to say. He nodded to the Shadow Demon, taking off without a world. Cathal propelled himself forward, dashing at an amazing speed, for a Keeper, towards what he knew was Kenji and Alice.

It took him a good amount of time to actually reach them, but seeing that Ami was already there taking care of them, he didn't fuss about it. He walked towards them at a brisk pace. Kenji had received the worst of it, the Guild Master lifted his shirt to observe the damage. Alice seemed to only have a few scratches and a large bruise on her side.

"They both used their Special Skill so they won't be waking up anytime soon," Ami notified him. Cathal nodded in response, resting a hand on Ami's shoulder.

"Are you guys okay?" Ami nodded. If she had hurt herself, she didn't know where or how. "Gabriel, you fly Kenji to my car, Sammie you take Alice. The rest of us will be there as soon as we can. Our only option is to take them to the cottage and have the clean up do what they can. They'll have to call in a few Earth Mage's to mend this mess." Gabriel and Sammie did as they were told, hauling the two off towards the car. Cathal looked at the three Keepers and their Demons. He was glad none of them were hurt. "Never follow their example. If it gets overwhelming, leave the area. Shadow Keepers, morph out, Wind Keepers, fly out. From now on we are staying in one group." With that, Cathal began to make his way back to the car. He used the same speed he had to get to Alice and Kenji in the first place. There weren't any Hounds left, Cathal knew that for sure.

ImageLucca had wanted to meld into the shadows to follow, but realized he couldn't. Taking a deep breath, he summoned the wind, somewhat scared to do so. He carefully, and very gently, propelled himself after Ami. He landed clumsily, not used to using his wind power as much as his shadows. Upon landing, Lucca looked around at the carnage. He had known both keepers were powerful, but this? This was insane. Upon approaching the two after Ami, Lucca watched concerned, thankful that the two were alive. They had just used two major powers that could have killed them.

Lucca approached his friends. When he saw Ami struggle to life Alice, Lucca knew he could lift Alice maybe, but definitely not Kenji. Lucca nodded upon hearing Sammie. He was thankful Cathal was coming. They needed him. "How many hounds are here you think?" Lucca asked, looking around again. This clearing was larger than the one he and Ami had come from, blood and black bodies carpeting the ground.

Lucca looked up upon seeing Cathal approaching. He didn't say anything, expecting the leader to not be happy. Lucca nodded in response to Cathal's question. He was okay physically, but he was worried about his friends and felt sick to his stomach. What had gotten so bad that Kenji had summoned something of that size after Alice had used her own special ability? Lucca listened as Cathal gave instructions. Upon the mention of two demons, he looked around for Kenji's own demon. Where was Jacob?

Lucca nodded in response to Cathal. Kenji and Alice would probably both be reprimanded later. Lucca and a solemn Casey followed Cathal to his car, flying together, Casey helping Lucca in the process. As the two flew, Lucca looked at the surrounding forest. There was at least four circles of cleared forest, seemingly random, yet Lucca knew Kenji had done it for a reason. Perhaps he'd talk to him about it when he woke up.

Upon reaching the car, Lucca studied Kenji and Alice's condition. They needed to have someone just look at them, Kenji more than Alice. Lucca wondered how Kenji had managed to control the winds enough to focus them away from Alice. "Casey, can you go grab Kenji's car? Like, fly it to the cottage?" Lucca asked her. She nodded, not saying anything as she eyed Kenji and Alice once more before taking off. She'd arrive at the cottage soon enough with the car somehow.

"Cathal, what was up with the hellhounds? Why were there so many? Especially around Kenji and Alice? I thought this was just a tiny mission to kill ten or less hounds..." Kenji stated, sitting in the back seat next to the unconscious Kenji.

It took about another thirty minutes to make his way back to the car. Cathal quickly started it, waiting until the others were in the car. He took off without hesitation towards the cottage that waited in a near by forest.

"Cathal, what was up with the hellhounds? Why were there so many? Especially around Kenji and Alice? I thought this was just a tiny mission to kill ten or less hounds..." Lucca stated.

"I couldn't tell you." Cathal said with a tone that meant to leave the situation alone. Originally there were supposed to only be at least twenty. An easy task for them. It must have been the ambush he had heard about, or something related to it. That may have explained their size. Those weren't the Hounds they were supposed to kill, those ones were fresh out of the underworld.

Ami was flying relatively close behind the car waiting till they grew closer to a main road. Once it came to the point that she couldn't follow without being seen, Ami expanded her wing to carry her up a safe distance. If a normal human saw her, she would just look like a normal bird at that point.

The cottage was in a neighboring forest, a place known for its lack of magical life. how they were so close but so different baffled the magical community, but no one cared enough to really figure it out. Cathal pulled into the driveway, exited the car after turning it off and opening one of the back doors. He pulled Kenji out, slinging him over his shoulder and making his way towards the front shoulder. Gabriel pulled his Master out and carried her behind Cathal. The cottage itself was rather large, enough rooms to house everyone. It was of course reserved by the Council which had no shortage of money.

"Lucca, Ami, Fintan, please get comfortable and rest. You did good today." It was pretty late at that point, about eight o' clock or so. Cathal and Gabriel carried the unconscious duo back to the infirmary room. "Like I said, all we can do is wait for them to wake up. I don't want to upset you, so I'll have you wash her up. I'll clean Kenji and dress his wounds the best I can." Cathal pulled the curtain that separated the beds down, immediately beginning to undress Kenji and clean of the now dried blood.

Ami went to the kitchen instead of to her room, figuring she would make dinner for everyone. There was lots of food stocked in the fridge and cabinets. She had to think of something that would feed a lot of people. Jambalaya seemed like a smart choice, so she quickly began her preparations. Sammie had taken their belongings to their room and came back down to help cook.

After adding everything to the two large pots, Ami searched around the kitchen for bowls for everyone. Sammie insisted on setting the table, which was done quickly. The Keeper than went around to tell the boys, including the ones in the infirmary, that dinner would be ready for them soon.

Lucca looked after Cathal curiously. He seemed to know more than he let. Lucca stepped out of the car, watching the others walk in but waiting for Casey to show up. It wasn't much longer until she did, landing Lucca's own car beside her as gently as possible. Lucca thanked her and went to take out Alice and Kenji's belongings. Casey took Alice's stuff for Kenji. The two were silent as they moved into the cottage.

Lucca put on a small smile upon smelling food though it fell rather quickly. When they entered the infirmary, Casey glanced into the closest of the two sections of the infirmary sectioned off by a curtain. "Kenji's in the other one," She said softly as she set Alice's belongings at the foot of the bed, standing by Gabriel. Lucca moved into the section cornered off for Kenji. "She'll be alright Gabriel. Come on, Ami made some food, let's go see if we can help," Casey stated softly to Gabriel, putting her hand on his shoulder. She pulled the covers up around Alice and motioned for Gabriel to go first to the kitchen area.

Lucca moved to Kenji's bed. "He's doing well, isn't he?" Lucca asked Cathal as he dug through Kenji's bag to find his sweatpants. Pulling them out, Lucca fitted them on Kenji should Alice wake first. Kenji stirred slightly but didn't wake upon Lucca moving his legs. "I wonder how long he'll be out," Lucca whispered before stepping back. "Ami made food by the way." As if Ami had heard him, she came by, telling Cathal and him that it was nearly ready. "Suppose we aught to go," Lucca said, walking out of the room to go enjoy dinner.

It was in the middle of dinner that Jacob appeared by Kenji's bed side. At first, he did nothing but stroke his keeper's cheek. He softly whispered for him to awake. Kenji, still exhausted, stirred slightly. Jacob manipulated water to cover Kenji's mouth, freezing it to cover it. Jacob cracked the back of his hand against Kenji's cheek as hard as he dared to not wake Alice, but hurt Kenji. Kenji probably would have called out should he been able to.

His eyes were wide and he moved to avoid Jacob's next strike, but in his extremely weak state, he moved sluggishly. Jacob was faster and stronger anyway, it didn't matter what he did or what condition he was in. "What is it with you, you idiot? Why did you risk yourself for that little bitch? You risk you, you risk me," Jacob growled at Kenji as he shoved the boy out of bed. Kenji rolled over, trying to breath through the ice over his mouth and struggling to get the needed air through his nose.

Jacob was merciless as he kicked Kenji in the stomach, his legs, his arms, as hard as he could. Kenji rolled over at each kick. He was against the wall soon enough. He pulled his legs in, trying to cover his head as Jacob continued to rain blows on him. "Next time you risk yourself like that, I'll make sure she dies. I will kill her myself, slowly, and make sure she knows that an inner part of you did it. I will kill her and I will make it hurt her so dearly, you will wish she died in your tornado. Am I clear you little bastard?" Jacob hissed at Kenji as he grabbed his hair and looked him in the eyes. Kenji had tears streaming down his face from the pain, hurting so badly everywhere. He stared up at Jacob defiantly resulting in another slap to his face.

"I will kill her, and if you try to stop me, I will just slowly tell her how much you want her dead or hate her. I see it, I know you, you love her, you just won't admit it because you are a scared little bastard. Trust me, you will regret ever crossing me Kenji. I will make you regret it so much. The pain you feel now, it will be ten times worse," Jacob continued to hiss. Kenji, unable to speak, just nodded slowly, trying to catch his breath.

Jacob kicked him once more, throwing an elbow at his head, heard a sound, then dissipated leaving Kenji in the corner, his hands covering his head and streaks of dried tears on his face. He didn't look up, he sat there, his chest and body aching. He hurt more than he had when he had been rudely interrupted, Jacob hurt more than a tornado. He was exhausted, he wanted to sleep, perhaps not wake up, perhaps wake up and eat everything on the planet.

Kenji's face stung, his sides ached worse than ever, and he was sure he had heard a rib or two crack when Jacob had been kicking him viciously. He realized he didn't have a shirt on then but still didn't care. He wasn't sure if Jacob was really gone or not and didn't want him to rain a blow on his head again.

As Fintan turned to look back at the Guild Master, he heard a sickening snap over the rushing wind in his ears. He turned around to see what was happening and saw a massive tree trunk splitting in half like a heavy mast of a ship, falling in his direction. Fintan's mouth fell open and his sapphire eyes snapped open wide and he tried to skitter out of the way, but he felt like his black shoes were melted into the ground as his muscled jolted, unable to move. He bent over his knees, looking at the ground as the air tugged at his short hair, bracing himself for the impact of the heavy wood, but instead something strong and solid swept him in his stomach, forcing the air out of his lungs and he gaped like a fish out of water, trying to remember how to breathe. He blinked quickly through the airborne debris and dust, trying to figure out what was happening. He vaguely saw Vergil's hair the color of sunshine rush to his side and Cathal's stern look before they were covered in a thick layer of bright ice, shielding them from the winds outside. Fintan shook his head, coughing a couple times before the world sharpened into view and he observed the deadly beauty of the ice Cathal had created with awe.

"Thank you so much," Fintan blurted out quickly, as fast as his tongue would allow, looking at Cathal with completely sincerity as Yukine was complaining. The wind blowing over the doom made the most ominous noise, like the shield would be uprooted at any moment, but Fintan trusted in Cathal's ability as a Keeper and sure enough, as the winds subsided, Fintan and Vergil remained perfectly safe, albeit freezing, under the dome. When Cathal deemed the environment safe, the ice sank back into the ground and they rose to their feet, taking in the destruction.
What had once been the Pine Barrens now looked like a hurricane had hit it, the massive trees had fallen over like toothpicks and the sky was still a green-gray color with swirling clouds that shifted like rumbling waves.

"This wasn't supposed to happen," Vergil murmured in Fintan's ear, a dark look on his young face.

"How can you tell?" Fintan inquired softly, still processing the fact that his classmates were able to create such a devastating attack. Did he harbor that same kind of power inside of him? Something that could leave a path of destruction in its fiery wake?

"It's obvious," the demon insisted absentmindedly, studying the small cut on Fintan's forehead, just under his hairline on the right side where something must've cut him as Cathal was saving him, "Cathal wouldn't have critiqued you on setting a few trees on fire if he thought the whole forest would've been destroyed anyways." One of the demon's came into view and called for Cathal, if Fintan remembered correctly,he was with the girl named Alice. Cathal didn't even need to listen to his explanation to know there was something incredibly wrong and the four of them tore off in the direction of the other Keepers. Fintan huffed and puffed after Cathal's amazing speed as the Guild Master seemed to glide through the fallen trees until they came a halt where the girl, Ami, was looking after the wounded. Fintan clenched his teeth together tightly at the sight of Kenji and Alice passed out and looking dead beat. Cathal checked on Ami before giving out orders, looking a little disgruntled at how the problem had been handled.

"Never follow their example. If it gets overwhelming, leave the area. Shadow Keepers, morph out, Wind Keepers, fly out. From now on we are staying in one group." he growled and Fintan exchanged a wary glance at Vergil who let out a long sigh and slammed his headphones over his ears, narrowing his eyes at the path ahead to the lulling sound of classical music.

"Keep your head up, mio fratello. It'll hurt at first, but it gets better," he promised Finny, hoping he was right for his Keeper's sake.

The cottage was in a beautiful little nook in a separate forest not far away. While Fintan would normally have observed the beauty it was nestled in and think of all the different words he could use for the word green, he instead stared depressed down at the floor of the car. Vergil was once again a parakeet, not because he needed to be, but because he was trying to cheer up his Keeper by hopping around on his tiny little feet and pretending to fall off of Fintan's colossal knee. This also would have normally worked, but all Finny could think about was Kenji and Alice and how he hoped they weren't in pain. As they exited the vehicle Vergil appeared to melt into a colorless puddle before reforming at his decent height, looking a little concerned for Fintan when they walked in the beautiful house.

"You look like you did after reading Edgar Allan Poe for a week. Are you gonna start quoting him at me again?" he teased, rather forced. Fintan gave him a somber look, resting his thumb on his bottom lip.

"And being so young and dipped in folly, I fell in love with melancholy," he murmured wistfully and Vergil let out an exaggerated groan.

"Lucca, Ami, Fintan, please get comfortable and rest. You did good today." Cathal told them, sounding a little more grim than proud, but who could blame him? While the others walked off to do their own thing, Fintan stood in the foyer next to Vergil, feeling without purpose until something amazing started to waft through the air. Vergil perked up like a meerkat out of his hole, sniffing the air dramatically.

"Doth my nose deceive me? What smells so damn good?" Vergil growled like an animal, following the scent towards the kitchen, peering in with Fintan on his tail.

"Looks like Ami's making dinner. That's so... nice," Fintan stated rather stupidly, but a soft smile appeared on his lips and Vergil relaxed at this. At least he didn't have to hear the quote "All I have loved, I have loved alone." for the fifteen billionth time.

" I hope she made more than just two pots," the demon grumbled, still smiling like a predator stalking its prey. Fintan smacked Vergil's arm.

"We are eating with other people now! You can't just eat all of it!" he reminded Vergil, giving him a warning look. Fintan peered around the corner at the girl once more who was bustling around the kitchen with a fluid kind of motion. Gracefulness, Finny finally concluded before he felt a light shove on his shoulders.

"Go talk to her, you in-the-closet introvert! Jeez, with how suave you pretend to be, you sure don't seem to be," the demon pointed out encouragingly.

"Well, what do I say?" the Keeper demanded frantically. Vergil shrugged like he couldn't care less.

"Um, I dunno, tell her that thing you said about her being nice and how her eyes glowed like amber honey in summer sunshine," the demon pushed and Fintan's face felt like it burst into flames.

"I-I never said that!I swear I never said that!" Fintan insisted nervously.

"No, but you were thinking it," Vergil joked, shoving Fintan into Ami's view as he was protesting.

"No, no, no, Vergil I- hiiiiii Ami, was it? Hiii. That um, that stuff you're making smells really good thanks um, thank a lot, really,"[/blue] Fintan stammered, still blushing like a red rose as he avoided her soft eyes.

[color=blue]"Did you like, need any help or anything or should I... go or...?"
he trailed off, trying to act nonchalant while his words trailed off.

Gabriel had finished dressing Alice, only sitting at that point. Lucca and Casey had entered, Lucca going to Kenji and his demon came to where Gabriel sat. "She'll be alright Gabriel. Come on, Ami made some food, let's go see if we can help," Casey stated softly to Gabriel, putting her hand on his shoulder. She pulled the covers up around Alice and motioned for Gabriel to go first to the kitchen area. The Shadow Demon nodded and stood. He knew she would be alright, but a little voice in the back of his head said not to leave. However, Ami had worked on dinner and nothing could go wrong. Gabriel exited the room and scampered off to the kitchen.

"He's doing well, isn't he?" Lucca asked Cathal. "I wonder how long he'll be out ... Ami made food by the way." As if Ami had heard him, she came by, telling Cathal and him that it was nearly ready. "Suppose we aught to go," Lucca said, walking out of the room to go enjoy dinner. Cathal silently followed, the scent of some delicious food filling the air.

"He's doing fine. I'll have Gabriel heal him more after dinner."

Ami returned to the kitchen, stirring the pots once more before mentally deciding that they were done.

"No, no, no, Vergil I- hiiiiii Ami, was it? Hiii. That um, that stuff you're making smells really good thanks um, thank a lot, really," Fintan stammered. "Did you like, need any help or anything or should I... go or...?" he trailed off.

"It's all done. You can sit down." The small girl dished out even servings of the meal to the bowls waiting on the table. The guild members trickled in little by little until everyone was sitting at the table. All the seats were taken besides three, two of which were in the infirmary. Then there was Kenji's demon which had been missing in action for a while. But it wasn't really any of Ami's concern. "I can make something if no one likes this." Ami folded her hands, muttering a quick thanks before picking up her spoon. She then remembered Fintan's offer for help and reached to touch his hand. "Thank you."

The meal went relatively well until a series of small thumps could be heard from the upstairs infirmary. Sammie, Cathal and Yukine all stood rapidly in worry, but Gabriel had already gotten up from his seat and disappeared. Once he arrived to the infirmary, of course his first action was to check on Alice, but she was still tucked soundly in bed. So he moved to Kenji's section to find the boy laying on the floor, curled up in pain. Without a word, Gabriel lifted the Keeper back onto the bed. He hovered his hands over his body, working his healing magic.

"I'm going to take the safe bet and say you fell off the bed. You should be resting. You shouldn't even try to get up until tomorrow. You need to regain her strength." Gabriel sat for a few more moment, finishing up his work then covered him back up with a blanket. The Shadow Demon looked to the corner of the room as a shadow figure manifested. "Don't let him get up. If anything happens, let me know." The shadow nodded to its commander. "I can bring you some food if you want. It's really good, Ami cooked it."

Lucca had gone and taken his seat by Kenji's empty chair and Ami. He leaned back, tapping his fingers as he was staring at his food. He didn't really feel like eating but he knew he had to, that he shouldn't cause people to be worried. He leaned forward and began eating hungrily. Lucca quietly mumbled a thanks to Ami as he ate rapidly. Lucca looked up, worried about what could be going on. He saw Gabriel take off and sat back, hoping things were okay in the infirmary.

Kenji heard someone enter the room but didn't look up. Kenji didn't bother to see who touched him or resist. He was thankful that whoever was helping him made his pain ease. He still felt battered and broken, but it wasn't so bad. His thoughts fell to what Jacob had said. Jacob would target the ones he cared for the most and as much as he was scared to admit it out loud, it was true, he cared for Alice. He had always thought of her as someone as broken as he was, because he never had really heard about her past.

He listened, recognizing Gabriel's voice in his haze. He didn't bother correcting the demon that he had been pushed out of bed, forced to leave when he really just wanted to sleep, possibly for a few weeks. Gabriel was right, he had not strength whatsoever. He hadn't been able to do anything but cover himself up from the blows, hadn't had the energy to care about who was touching him, wasn't even sure he'd care if he was kidnapped or something really bad. Kenji didn't meet Gabriel's eyes, knowing the demon saw the streaks of dried tears, but also just not wanting for him to see the fear he felt for the demon's keeper.

Kenji nearly rolled his eyes, probably would have if he was in a better condition, when Gabriel called a shadow to keep him in bed. Perhaps the shadow would protect Kenji against Jacob should he show up again. Kenji looked up at Gabriel, "I'm not hungry, then saw something that nearly made him fall out of bed for real. Behind Gabriel, standing over Alice, Jacob held a knife over her throat. His words rang through Kenji's head, about how he'd kill her to mess with Kenji.

Kenji breathed deeply, wondering whether or not Alice could even tell there was a blade close to killing her with just a swipe. In an even, soft voice, Kenji managed to speak up. "Gabriel, get Alice out of here, it's not like she's hurt enough to have to be in here anyway, not that you did much to make it that way," Kenji stated, rolling over. He grit his teeth. His chest ached from what he said. He just wanted her to not be near him, to be near Gabriel constantly, where she was safe.

"And next time, take care of your master, don't leave another keeper to do a demon's job," Kenji said, quietly. It hurt him as much to say it as he knew it would for his friend to hear it. Kenji had never called a demon a demon to their face much less a demon's keeper their master. Most demons didn't mind, but it hurt when someone said it as an insult and though Kenji didn't like it, he knew it was necessary. If he wanted Gabriel to get Alice out, he needed to make Gabriel feel uncomfortable leaving her in the same room as himself.

Kenji bit the inside of his cheek, feeling the last of his fight go out. He didn't sleep, but he didn't move. He didn't roll back over to face Gabriel and he didn't dare look at Alice for fear of seeing Jacob threatening her again. Kenji eyed the shadow in the corner, refusing to move or show he was still awake. He was starving, but he wouldn't ask for food. He wanted to see Alice safe, but wouldn't admit it out loud. He wanted to be friends with everyone, but knew it would only hurt him later on.

Kenji couldn't bring himself to say he'd hurt Alice himself if Gabriel didn't protect her, and just prayed the demon would take her away, be overprotective and keep him from hurting her. "Take responsibility or Alice'll probably be killed since nobody else is willing to protect her," Kenji whispered, hoping Gabriel would and wouldn't hear him. He wanted him to so that he would take her away, but he didn't because it was too hurtful for anyone to ever say. His hand gripped the loose cloth of his sweatpants on his outer leg, praying Gabriel would just get out, take her and get out.

He did feel better after Gabriel helping him, but hated that he was making the demon feel as if he shouldn't have helped Kenji. He really wanted to take a shower, possibly the most wanted thing he had at the moment other than things involving the situation at hand.

"It's nice to see someone smile."

Ami ate at a normal pace, not looking up from her bowl, though there was small talk, she didn't participate. It was refreshing however to have such high spirits around the table. When a thump was heard upstairs, the first to jump to action was Gabriel. He was very devoted to his master, it was very cute.

Ami shook her head for a moment, now wasn't a time to be thinking about what was cute and what wasn't. She finished her bowl off and took it up to the sink where Fintan had started to wash the dishes. She started to offer him her plate until a large amount of water splashed out.

It mainly landed on Fintan, but some landed on Ami's side as well. Ami manipulated a slight gust, centered on her so it wouldn't mess anything else up, and dried her clothes quickly. It was then that she realized how dirty her clothes actually were. She looked around and noticed everyone's were just as dirty. Everyone had a fair amount of dirt, grass and blood on them.

"I can clean everyone's clothes, I know how to get all those stains out. Just bring them down stairs and I'll take care of it." Ami grabbed a clean bowl and filled it was some food for whomever was awake and keeping Gabriel occupied. She made her way up the stairs and towards the infirmary only to pause just outside the door. She heard speaking.

"Gabriel, get Alice out of here, it's not like she's hurt enough to have to be in here anyway, not that you did much to make it that way," it was clearly Kenji. "And next time, take care of your master, don't leave another keeper to do a demon's job. Take responsibility or Alice'll probably be killed since nobody else is willing to protect her." It was silent for a good while, but Ami didn't move. She didn't want to become another variable to any stress anyone was feeling. With her abnormal hearing, she could hear everything going on in the room. A chair scratched against the floorboards, Ami assumed Gabriel was getting up. She moved to the doorway quickly with a bad sense. Gabriel grabbed Kenji's shirt and ripped him around so they were face to face.

"And where was your demon," Gabriel snarled. "I saved your ass so don't act all high and mighty. You don't know who you are talking to. If you wanna pick a fight, do it with someone you have a chance against." Gabriel dropped Kenji back onto the bed carelessly, turning to pick up Alice. Gabriel seemed like a different person to Ami when he spoke just then. She had never seen him like that. Ami moved out of Gabriel's way and made it over to Kenji's side.

"You can't say stuff like that Kenji." Ami tucked Kenji back in, sitting him up enough to eat. "But he didn't seem warranted in his actions either." Ami did one of her rare smiles and stood. She exited the room, removing her expression and making her way to the basement. She caught a glimpse in Alice's room of Gabriel laying next to his Master. What had went on in that room? She went into her room to quickly to change into clean clothes. She tied her hair back and put on her usual pastel yellow nightgown that was long and elegant, but made her look even more like a child. She went down the stairs and into the basement, locating all the necessary chemicals to do the job.

Lucca had been tapping his fingers rapidly, wanting Gabriel to come back and report what had happened. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked over to see Casey, giving her a small smile that showed his nerves. "They'll be alright," She whispered into his ear. She had known he was anxious about that and he was thankful for her small comforting whisper. Lucca was about to say something when he looked up to see Ami offering to wash the groups clothes. He looked down and only then noticed how bloody and dirty they all were.

"I'll help since I haven't done anything yet," Lucca offered as he stood, Casey beside him as the two went to Lucca's room. Casey changed in one corner and Lucca changed in the other into clothing that was more along the lines of pajamas. Lucca wore a loose pair of soft sweatpants and a loose t-shirt while Casey was in a tank top and a pair of shorts. On their way out, the two heard someone speaking. It wasn't Alice and it certainly didn't sound like Gabriel, leaving it to be Kenji since Jacob still hadn't shown up.

Casey looked at Lucca with wide eyes and he returned the look. Kenji had never said something like that, much less to someone. The two watched Ami before Gabriel emerged with Alice and Ami went in. The two allowed Gabriel and Alice past, watching the girl and wondering whether or not it might have had something to do with her. Both knew Kenji had a little thing for her as a minimum, yet had never asked him about it.

Kenji had expected a reaction along the lines Gabriel had gone. He faced his old friend with a look of contempt and boredom. When Gabriel asked about Jacob, Kenji saw his demon standing in the corner again, smiling at him as he sat next to Alice silently. He stroked her hair gently, then wrapped his hand around her neck as if he would break it in a moment. Kenji's eyes went back to Gabriel as he continued.

When Gabriel was done, Kenji let himself sink back into bed, thankful Alice was gone and safe with Gabriel. Now Jacob would't kill her. He briefly hoped Alice didn't wake for a few more hours, thankful she hadn't been awake during the time her life had been threatened.

When Ami entered, Kenji wanted to scream at people to leave him alone. Instead, he resumed his look of boredom. He winced slightly when Ami moved him but didn't respond. When she stated Gabriel probably shouldn't have done what he did, Kenji shook his head slightly.

"Ami, I need you to watch them. Both of them. Keep them away from me, I don't want to see Gabriel any more than I have to after the disgrace he caused today," It hurt more to lie to Ami than Gabriel since he saw the girl as his little sister.

Kenji ignored Jacob as he sat down, stroking his hair. "Don't touch me," He whispered fiercely, trying to push Jacob away though his greatest enemy and greatest friend grabbed his hands and pinned them above him against the wall. "Just remember one thing Kenji. You're my toy as much as I am yours. Feelings can't be hidden from someone who is in your head," He whispered into Kenji's ear.

Kenji breathed raggedly, looking Jacob in the eye once more before Jacob released him, going to the door and giving Kenji a wink that told Kenji nothing good was to come before he left the room. Kenji wanted to get up, but he could hardly stay awake anymore. He let sleep come with open arms, praying Lucca would keep Jacob from doing anything stupid.

Lucca heard someone walk downstairs and looked up to see Jacob coming dowm. "There you are, did you check on Kenji already?" Lucca asked as he wrapped his and Casey's clothing up in a ball. "Yeah, he's alright. He's sleeping now. Something got to him. He's acting all weird now, he was very mean too..." Jacob grumbles as if it had hurt him. He allowed his other self to take over. He seemed to stand there dazed for a moment before he looked around. "What happened that got you all beat up?" Jacob asked as he saw everyone was a mess. Lucca and Casey had already gone to work on cleaning the clothes leaving a confused Jacob behind.

"Every new beginning ends."

Gabriel passed Ami and laid Alice down on her bed, himself next to her sleeping body. He had sensed Jacob's presence appear and disappear twice, he knew something was up. He had caught all Kenji's worried glances in Alice's direction, and he obviously desired a negative reaction from Gabriel. The shadow Gabriel had summoned followed them in to the room.

"Mas-s-s-s-ster Gabriel should watch that demon. He is-s-s-s-sn't to be trus-s-s-s-sted." That was all the figure said before dissipating. Were the two of them up to something? Or was it just one or the other? What could have that demon been doing behind his back? Gabriel heard Jacob's voice and shot out of bed. He disappeared into the shadows, reappearing right behind Jacob. He seemed to be standing at the bottom of the stairs like a lost puppy.

"You," Gabriel grabbed Jacob's shirt and ripped him around to look at him. "Thanks to your neglect to even try to be a decent demon, I had to save your Master's ass and he's ripping me a new one!" Gabriel punched as hard as he could, hitting Jacob in the face. "Why don't you big-headed pricks go back to where you came from because we don't need you here!" Gabriel leaned forward again, hitting Jacob again with all his might. "If you ever touch her again I'll kill both of you. Both of you just get the hell out!"

"Just try."

Cathal had rested a hand on Fintan's shoulder, signalling he would handle the dishes. He had only begun to wash when a large amount of yelling emerged from the other room. Cathal wasn't quick enough for once and one demon had already landed a few blows to another.

"Knock it of Gabriel!" Cathal pushed the demon back, standing in front of Jacob. "This is everyone's fault! You all acted recklessly and risked your lives and others! If I hear another word out of your mouth Gabriel I will not hesitate to punish you accordingly." Cathal didn't bother on checking if Jacob was alright, he had done his part in stopping Gabriel and that was enough. He simply stood in wait for the Shadow demon to take his leave. Gabriel disappeared and reappeared into his and Alice's room, shutting the door quietly. Slamming it would seem childish. He couldn't leave Alice alone, so he had to stay there.

Cathal huffed, swearing he was watching over a bunch of teenagers ... oh wait, he was. He hastily returned to the kitchen, finishing off the dishes. The Guild Master then made his way to the small study to read some books. The Cottage was large, much larger than a normal cottage, but not abnormally so. Considering 5 people and their demons were occupying it, it was normal sized. It had rooms for everyone, all including large bathrooms. A large dining room, a large kitchen, living room, basement, study, infirmary, etc. The Council had no limit when it came to the best of the best. However they weren't looking so hot right now. Maybe he needed to have more time off with them for team training.

The Guild Master cracked open a rather large book, settling down at the desk. He kept the room's door wide open so he could listen easier if anything else unsavory were to happy.

"It's nice to see someone smile."

"Ami, I need you to watch them. Both of them. Keep them away from me, I don't want to see Gabriel any more than I have to after the disgrace he caused today."The words rang though Ami's head as she began treating the clothes she had. She was kneeling on the ground, scrubbing away at the stains with a gentle touch. A small frown etched into her face. She didn't want this family to disappear too. What exactly was going on with Kenji? She had always thought that Kenji and Gabriel liked each other. They were so alike after all. Gabriel blowing up like that? And Kenji calling his actions disgraceful? What was happening?

Ami let out a sigh, finishing up her clothes and starting on the next pair.

"Are you okay Ami?" Sammie appeared with her own clothes in hand, wearing a nightgown similar to Ami's but a pastel pink instead of yellow. Ami nodded at her demon, keeping focused on the clothes before her. "I want to see Fintan's bug collection. I might learn something. His demon brought it up during dinner. We could wait till tomorrow. I think Master Cathal is going to have us take a break and do some training." Ami stayed silent.

Ami didn't know what she could do to fix the mess but it was all she could think of. Ami couldn't possibly be the person that stood back and did nothing. Sure she looked like she had no emotion, but it was there. Just hidden. Ami realized that the more she was with her Guild, the more often her emotions would show.
